You've helped run a scale or pooled CS model before, or you've been inside one long enough to know what works and what doesn't. You know that scale CS done badly is just support with a fancier title, and done well it's a system that delivers consistent value to hundreds of customers.

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) is responsible for driving adoption, value realization, renewal, and expansion within a defined portfolio of customers. Own customer health, retention, and risk management for your portfolio, in partnership with Sales and Renewals.
As a CSM, you will serve as a named resource and partner for customer organizations. You will build and maintain trusting relationships, acting as a technical resource for day-to-day operational needs.
Location: Remote
About the Team
Netlify's Customer Success team is responsible for making sure customers get real, lasting value from the platform - from onboarding through renewal and beyond. The team works closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to help customers grow their usage, see clear outcomes, and stay engaged over time. Every motion the team runs - whether it's a renewal conversation, a feature adoption push or customer escalation - is designed to build trust and relationships that compound.
This role exists because we have a growing book of SMB accounts that need a dedicated, consistent point of contact. As our Customer Success Associate, you’ll drive broad-stroke outreach and build the workflows to manage them well. You'll carry a book of 120+ accounts with roughly $2M in ARR, and your job is to make sure those customers are engaged, getting value, and set up for renewal. This is an entry-level role with real ownership from day one, and you'll have mentorship from senior teammates as you ramp into the commercial side of the work.
What You'll Do
Own the day-to-day relationship for your book of accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and keeping customers informed, engaged, and successful on the platform
Contribute ideas to dashboards and workflows to track your book of business - renewal timelines, health signals, engagement levels, and expansion indicators - so nothing falls through the cracks
With guidance of leadership, drive outreach to customers ahead of renewal, lead those conversations, handle objections, and negotiate terms on flat renewals and smaller expansions, looping in Sales when a meaningful expansion opportunity emerges.
Track and forecast your renewal book on a rolling basis, proactively surfacing risks and creating plans to address them before they become problems
Use product usage data and customer outcomes to demonstrate value in renewal conversations and ongoing check-ins
Identify opportunities for feature adoption and product expansion within accounts, and flag those signals to the Sales team to build expansion pipeline
Gather and synthesize customer feedback and share it with Product and internal stakeholders to inform roadmap decisions and improve the customer experience
Work closely with senior CS teammates and your manager to develop your skills in account management, commercial negotiation, and customer communication
What You'll Bring
Some experience in a customer-facing role - this could be internship work, customer service, sales support, retail, or anything that required you to build rapport and solve problems for people
Comfort working with data and spreadsheets, and a genuine interest in using that data to spot trends and make decisions
A track record of following through: when you commit to something, you close the loop
Clear written and verbal communication - you can explain things simply, listen well, and adapt your approach to different audiences
An interest in building a career in customer success, and curiosity about the commercial side of the business - including how renewals work, how contracts are structured, and how value gets communicated to customers
You’re based in the Denver, Colorado area and are comfortable working remotely while participating in occasional in-person meetings and engagement with Denver-based stakeholders.
This Role is a Great Fit If
You're energized by building relationships and want to be the person customers actually look forward to hearing from
You thrive when you have ownership over a defined body of work and the freedom to figure out how to make it run better
You enjoy the process of organizing complexity - tracking multiple accounts, spotting patterns, and keeping everything moving without things slipping
You're drawn to roles where you learn by doing, and you're comfortable asking questions and taking feedback as you develop your skills
You get excited about connecting customers to features or capabilities they didn't know they needed, and seeing that translate into real adoption
You work well within a team structure and are looking for mentorship, but you also want to take real ownership rather than just support someone else's book

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We will teach you all about LaunchDarkly, but you should have an existing level of technical knowledge and know-how.
Proven ability to advocate for both your customers and your company. You know how to be the voice of the customer in the company while mediating between the customer's requests and the company's vision.
About LaunchDarkly:
Modern software delivery was supposed to be the foundation for a thriving digital business but reality has proven otherwise. Slow, inefficient development cycles, costly outages, and fragmented customer experiences are preventing developers from building their best software. The LaunchDarkly platform helps developers innovate on new features faster while protecting them with a safety valve to instantly rewind when things go wrong. Developers can target product experiences to any customer segment and maximize the business impact of every feature. And by gradually rolling out new application components, they escape nightmare "big-bang" technology migrations.
The LaunchDarkly platform was built to guide engineers to the next frontier of DevOps by:
Improving the velocity and stability of software releases, without the fear of end customer outages
Delivering targeted experiences by easily personalizing features to customer cohorts
Maximizing the business impact of every feature through the ability to experiment and optimize
Coordinating the release and optimization of software to provide consistent experiences across mobile platforms and device types
Improving the effectiveness and productivity of engineering teams, by providing insights into engineering cadence and stability

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle
Runway is growing fast, and so is the surface area of what users need to learn. We're looking for an Education Content Specialist to keep our Help Center accurate, our Academy content well-produced, and our users set up for success from day one.
You'll sit within the Experience & Enterprise Enablement team, working closely with the Education & Enablement lead to execute against a content roadmap that spans written documentation, video scripts, and self-service resources. Every feature launch will have your fingerprints on it. You're the person who makes sure users don't have to guess.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Write, update, and maintain Help Center articles across product features, billing, policies, and troubleshooting — keeping documentation accurate as the product moves fast
- Coordinate with engineering and product at launch time to ensure articles are live before features ship
- Audit existing Help Center content for accuracy and discoverability; surface recommendations based on support ticket trends and user feedback
- Create and maintain self-service content — FAQs, quick-start guides, troubleshooting flows — that reduces ticket volume and helps users help themselves
- Draft scripts for Runway Academy video tutorials, walkthroughs, and course modules
- Support production of Academy content: create supporting assets, prepare materials for recording, and help get finished content published and organized
- Build and maintain a library of templates, prompt guides, and project starters across Runway's tools
- Support production and publishing of office hours, webinars, and live Q&A sessions
- Keep Help Center documentation and Academy content consistent and cross-referenced
- Track the performance of content you've produced — article engagement, search deflection, CSAT — and flag gaps to the Education & Enablement lead
- Work with legal to ensure usage policies and terms are accurately reflected in customer-facing content
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 2-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, education content, or a similar role at a software or SaaS company
- Ability to translate complex product features into clear, user-friendly language — across articles, scripts, and guides
- Experience shipping documentation on tight timelines with cross-functional dependencies
- Comfort with help center platforms (Zendesk, Intercom, or similar) and content management systems
- Familiarity with video content production and an instinct for how to structure and pace educational content
- Strong editorial judgment — you catch inconsistencies before they go live
- Organized and autonomous working style; you can manage a documentation backlog while staying responsive to urgent launch needs
- A bias toward action and a belief that no task is too small
- Familiarity building with LLMs to streamline and automate processes
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with AI or creative tools — with genuine curiosity about how they work
- Background in or passion for the creative space — video, design, animation, or related fields
- Experience using support data (ticket volume, search queries, CSAT, completion rates) to prioritize content work

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. The PlanetScale platform offers both Postgres and Vitess clusters. Vitess, an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL, enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience.
Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn’t be higher. We’re looking for a Customer Support Engineer to help developers and businesses get the most out of PlanetScale, resolve issues quickly, and build the support function that helps us scale.
What’s the job to be done?
You will advise and handle support requests from customers and developers on the PlanetScale platform.
You will respond to, debug, and resolve customer support issues through support tickets, customer Slack channels, public discussions, and other support channels.
You will help customers understand how to use PlanetScale effectively, including how to reason about queries, schema changes, application behavior, database connectivity, and production workflows.
You will create and improve internal and external documentation, support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing materials.
You will identify product gaps and recurring sources of customer friction, then work with Engineering to prioritize improvements.
You will contribute to the systems, processes, and practices that help PlanetScale deliver excellent developer-focused support at scale.
These attributes best describe you.
You are customer-focused, empathetic, and clear in how you communicate, while knowing when to push back in ways that help customers become successful on their own.
You have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the curiosity and persistence to follow issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and product behavior.
You are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone. Whether that means reading unfamiliar application code, digging into database behavior, testing a new framework, or learning a connector you haven’t used before, you’re willing to go where the problem leads.
You are a self-starting, enthusiastic individual who takes responsibility for outcomes and wants to make a meaningful impact on the business.
You can operate independently, but you know when to ask for help and how to bring the right people into an issue.
You are highly organized and able to operate in ambiguous or changing situations.
You are data-driven, team-oriented, and comfortable communicating across many audiences.
You enjoy working cross-functionally and translating customer pain into actionable product, documentation, and process improvements.
What you will need.
Experience supporting production applications, databases, developer tools, infrastructure, or other technical products.
Working knowledge of SQL, preferably with experience in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
Strong debugging skills and the ability to reason through application and database behavior.
Programming experience. You will not be programming full-time, but you should be comfortable reading and navigating unfamiliar code to understand customer issues.
Experience with common application frameworks, ORMs, database connectors, or application deployment patterns.
Willingness to explore new languages, frameworks, tools, and customer environments as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong empathy for customers, developers, and teammates, with the ability to advocate for customer needs clearly and constructively.
What else will help you be successful.
Experience working in a remote organization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and debugging tools.
Experience helping build support processes, documentation systems, or teams from an early stage.
Why PlanetScale.
We’re redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale — and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS. As a Customer Support Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines helping developers and businesses solve real production problems, while also shaping the product, documentation, and support systems that make PlanetScale better for every customer.
PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work and thrive no matter the location. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. We strive to build an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued, whether they are a candidate or an employee. We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status, disability, pregnancy status, and veteran status.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there’s any way we can make the interview process better for you; we’re happy to accommodate!
Total Compensation and Pay Transparency
An employee’s total compensation consists of base salary + variable comp where appropriate + benefits + equity. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to answer any further questions when we engage with you to begin the interview process.
Base salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD
