We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Runway is looking for a Marketing Manager to help build and scale high-impact marketing programs across our creator, partner, sponsorship, and growth ecosystem.
This is a generalist marketing role for someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution. Some immediate areas of focus include influencer creator partnerships, sponsorships, and partnership marketing.
The right person is commercially minded, highly organized, creative, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. We are looking for someone who can build repeatable programs, manage relationships, and execute campaigns to turn marketing ideas into measurable growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- You will own and support marketing programs that help Runway reach priority audiences, grow demand, and deepen our presence among our target audiences.
- In the near term, this will include managing creator and influencer partnerships including affiliates, evaluating sponsorship opportunities, and building co-marketing programs with customers, technology partners, model providers, vendors, and ecosystem partners.
- You will work across the full program lifecycle: identifying opportunities, developing briefs, managing outreach, coordinating execution, tracking performance, and recommending what to scale, change, or stop.
- You will partner closely with growth, creative, comms, events, PMM, sales, business development, legal, and finance to make sure programs are clear, on-brand, operationally sound, and connected to business outcomes.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- We’re looking for a marketing generalist with strong executional judgment and enough strategic range to work across multiple types of programs for a range of B2C and B2B audiences.
- Experience managing creator partnerships with a clear view of how long-form content performs differently from short-form and other social channels.
- 4+ years of experience building marketing campaigns, influencer, affiliate, or growth programs from 0 to 1.
- Experience managing external relationships: creators, sponsors, agencies, freelancers or vendors.
- Experience writing briefs, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and translating broad goals into concrete plans.
- Strong taste, communication skills, and judgment around brand, audience fit, creator quality, partner value, business impact, and operational tradeoffs.
- You should be comfortable with ambiguity and able to build from scratch. This role requires someone who can create structure where it does not yet exist, but without slowing the team down with unnecessary process.
- You should care about measurement and be able to connect marketing programs to outcomes such as subscriptions, ARR, and enterprise pipeline influence.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in AI, SaaS, subscription products.
- Experience creating partner-facing materials such as briefs, sponsorship packages, or co-marketing materials.
- Familiarity with Runway, AI video, creator communities, internet culture, and the broader creative technology ecosystem.
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

This person will partner across the company — finance, investor relations, legal, brand, product and design — to mine and tell stories that drive conversation across audiences, formats and channels.
This role calls for range. You should be as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are on X/Twitter. You’re capable of crafting campaigns around quarterly earnings and cultural moments. You embrace ambiguity, are collaborative by default, and are energized by the opportunity to build something new.
This is a full time role that can be held from our San Francisco or New York hub.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Help define and drive Figma’s corporate storytelling strategy end-to-end, from narrative development to execution across channels
Move beyond traditional PR to create integrated campaigns that cut through across media, owned platforms and executive communications

Continue to grow your scope and influence as the company scales
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
7+ years of experience in in-house communications
A track record of building and scaling communications programs from the ground up
Strong business and cultural fluency, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, engaging narratives and pitches
Experience operating in fast-paced environments where direction isn’t always defined—and comfort creating it
Demonstrated experience crafting a point of view on storytelling that goes beyond conventional PR approaches
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
An understanding of product design, software development and/or cloud-native applications.
Experience navigating and explaining business concepts and issues with fluidity.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Millions of people rely on Notion to do their most important work, and protecting that trust is foundational to everything we build.
We’re looking for a hands-on Detection Engineer to build and operate the systems and workflows we use to detect and respond to attacks across Notion’s cloud-native environment. You’ll ship high-signal detections, improve the platform that powers them, participate in incident response, and help shape how detection and response engineering scales at Notion.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Corporate Security, and Infrastructure, with broad latitude to identify gaps, prioritize investments, and build what’s needed next.
We view detection and response as a software engineering discipline: detections are code, platforms are products, and measurement matters
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Build and tune high-signal detections across cloud, identity, endpoint, and SaaS environments, with review and mentorship from senior teammates as you ramp up.
- Contribute to the detection platform, including rule lifecycle management, tuning, measurement, and rollout safety.
- Build tooling and automation that speed up triage, enrichment, investigation, and detection authoring, including LLM-based workflows where useful.
- Turn threat intelligence and adversary TTPs into detections, telemetry requirements, and response improvements.
- Take part in investigations, incident response, and postmortems, and help turn what we learn into lasting fixes.
- Help define and track metrics such as coverage, MTTD, and alert quality.
- Join a shared on-call rotation for incident response.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- We're hiring across a range of experience levels. If you have some of these skills but not all, we'd still like to hear from you.
- 3+ years of experience in detection engineering, security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or a closely related security or software engineering role.
- Have written or tuned detections that run in production, and care about signal quality and cutting noise.
- Working knowledge of at least one detection or query language (Sigma, KQL, SPL, YARA-L, EQL, or Panther), or strong SQL or Python skills and the drive to learn one quickly.
- An understanding of how attackers operate (for example, MITRE ATT&CK), and the ability to use it to decide what to detect.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, ideally including identity and access logs.
- Have used SIEM, EDR, or SOAR tools in any size of environment.
- Write clearly in runbooks, design docs, and incident notes, and can own well-scoped projects end to end.
NICE TO HAVE
- Have led purple team, blue team, or adversary emulation exercises that improved detections or telemetry.
- Experience running SIEM, EDR, or SOAR platforms at large scale.
- Experience building or maintaining detection-as-code workflows (version control, CI, and tests for detections).
- Experience applying LLMs or agent-style tooling to security workflows.
- Experience securing AI-enabled systems or endpoint tooling.
- Kubernetes or container detection experience.
- Background in threat intelligence, malware analysis, or digital forensics.
- Contributions to the security community through research, tooling, CTFs, or talks.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or AI company.

About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
ABOUT THE ROLE
WorkOS has a strong bottom-up, developer-focused GTM motion. Our growth team sits at the center of it, running the campaigns, events, and demand programs that put WorkOS in front of technical buyers. As those programs have grown, so has the volume of work that makes them happen, and we're looking for a Growth Marketing Generalist to own it.
This is a hands-on execution role. You'll work across campaign management, events, and content, taking programs from brief to live and getting the details right. One week that means running a developer event in San Francisco; the next, pulling together campaign assets. You'll get clear direction and real ownership.
This is a great fit if you like variety, move fast, and want to build range across every part of a growth function. You'll work directly with the Growth lead and partner closely with sales, design, and product. You don't need to have marketed to developers before, though it's a plus. What matters is that you come from a technical or B2B software environment where you understood what the product did and who was buying it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Events and Field Marketing: Support with logistics and execution of our developer events, conferences, and dinners, including venue and vendor coordination, invite and registration flows, on-site support, and follow-up.
- Project Management: Own timelines for creative assets and copy for growth programs (e.g. newsletter sponsorships), keeping designers and campaigns on schedule so deliverables are ready and submitted on time.
- Copy and Content: drafting variations of email copy, social posts, invites, and event materials, keeping it clear and on-brand for a technical audience
- Reporting: Track performance across programs and report on what worked, surfacing what we should do more or less of.
- Measurement & Tracking: A clean tracking foundation across UTMs and campaigns so we can confidently measure performance.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Work with sales on event follow-up and pipeline handoff, and with design and product on assets and messaging.
- Continuous Learning: Build real knowledge of WorkOS products, our developer audience, and the AI-native companies we sell to.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: a marketing role at a B2B software or technology company, ideally one selling to a technical audience.
- Executional Strength: A track record of reliably shipping marketing work end to end, on time and with the details correct.
- Project Management: Run several programs at once, keep track of the moving pieces, and follow through without needing to be chased.
- Writing Ability: Clear writer who can adapt to a brand voice and write for a smart, skeptical, technical reader.
- Events Experience: Hands-on experience running or supporting events, from small dinners to conferences.
- Tooling: Comfortable in a modern marketing stack, including marketing automation or email tooling, a CMS, and analytics.
- Domain Understanding: Enough technical context to understand what a developer tool does and why someone would buy it.
- Self-starter: Previous startup experience, particularly in high-growth PLG organizations.
- AI-Native: Hands-on experience building with AI-native tools, using LLMs, agents, and automation in your own marketing workflows.
- Bonus: Experience marketing developer tools, infrastructure, or API products.

Figma's Business Development & Partnerships team aims to advance our company goals by working with partners to augment product experiences, drive user engagement, accelerate user and revenue growth, distribute our products and services, and raise brand awareness. As Figma's product portfolio and user base continue to evolve, the team plays a critical role in connecting our platform to a broader network of builders, developers, and solution partners.
We're looking for a thoughtful people leader and product partnerships operator to help scale the impact of our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Product Partnerships, you will initially lead a small, growing team of Partner Managers responsible for product-area portfolios and scaled programs. You will translate Product Partnerships priorities into clear portfolio plans, coach the team to deliver excellent partner outcomes, and build the operating rhythms, standards, and cross-functional alignment that allow the organization to scale. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong people leadership with product judgment, operational rigor, and a track record of bringing complex technology partnerships to life.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Lead, coach, and develop an initial team of 3-5 Partner Managers who own product-area portfolios and scaled partnership programs; set clear expectations, provide actionable feedback, and support strong performance and career growth
Partner with the Director of Product Partnerships to translate organization-wide strategy and priorities into focused portfolio plans, resource allocation decisions, and measurable goals for the team
Create leverage across the organization by ensuring Partner Managers can independently drive day-to-day partner strategy, execution, communications, and decision-making, while maintaining a high and consistent quality bar and communication about their work
Oversee the health and impact of the team's partner portfolio, helping partner managers prioritize the highest-value opportunities and guide strategy, unblock complex workstreams, and navigate risks, tradeoffs, and escalations
Build strong relationships with leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Research, Operations, Finance, and Legal to align partnership priorities with company and product goals
Define and track portfolio-level success metrics, review progress with the team, and deliver concise business updates to Partnerships leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Serve as the primary point of escalation and step into the highest-leverage partner moments when leadership, negotiation support, escalation management, or cross-functional alignment is needed, while preserving clear ownership for the Partner Manager
Help evolve the Product Partnerships organization as it grows by improving processes, clarifying roles and decision rights, and supporting hiring and onboarding for new team members
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
12+ years of experience in partnerships with predominant focus in product partnerships or ecosystem partnerships, and 3+ years of direct people management experience, with a track record of hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
The ability to define strategy, plan, prioritize, build cross-functional alignment, execute efficiently on long-term, cross-functional projects, and iterate alongside product, GTM, and executive teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to structure frameworks, initiate an action plan, and lead complex, first-of-their-kind, technical partnerships and negotiations
Technical depth; experience contributing to and influencing product strategy, roadmap, and execution as well as analyzing data to build and share insightful business recommendations
A demonstrated ability to execute on short term business needs in tandem with driving strategic decisions that align with the broader company and partnerships roadmap
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Proven ability to create and implement product partnership strategies in enterprise SaaS
Track record of building partnership processes, programs, or teams during periods of rapid company or product growth
Demonstrated success leading teams that manage both high-touch product partnerships and scaled ecosystem programs

If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Attio is the CRM for agentic revenue. Designed for the most ambitious go-to-market teams, it gives companies the power to understand every customer, automate at scale, and build their go-to-market motion exactly as they need. We've raised $116M from some of the world's best investors: GV (Google Ventures), Redpoint, Balderton, Point Nine, and 01A.
We hire builders who thrive on complex technical challenges, hold themselves to a high bar, and genuinely care about delighting the people who use what they build. The team here brings sharp judgement, real craft, and the drive to do exceptional work. We're obsessed about the details and energized by the frontier.
If you want to do the best work of your career, this is the right place.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Support team is at the heart of Attio’s customer experience — maintaining an exceptional 98% CSAT average over the past six months. We hold ourselves to an incredibly high standard at every stage of the customer journey, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to clarity, care, and quality.
As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll be the trusted voice of Attio to our customers — helping them solve problems, unlock value, and feel supported every step of the way. You’ll troubleshoot technical issues, share product best practices, and act as the customer’s advocate across teams.
This is a role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, loves getting into the details, and finds genuine satisfaction in turning a complex issue into a seamless experience. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the standards that make our customers love Attio — and help us set a new benchmark for excellence in B2B SaaS support.
This is Attio’s first hire in the APAC region, offering a unique opportunity to help establish our presence in Australia. As such, we’re looking for a self-starter who’s comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership, and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the technical and operational processes that keep our customers successful. You’ll combine empathy, product expertise, and clear communication to deliver best-in-class support.
Customer support excellence: Provide fast, high-quality support across email, chat, and video, maintaining strong CSAT and meeting SLAs across APAC hours.
Advanced technical troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across Attio’s API (REST payloads, authentication, error handling), webhooks, SDKs, and integrations — identifying root causes rather than surface-level fixes.
Multi-system debugging: Investigate issues spanning Attio and third-party platforms, interpreting logs, error outputs, and system behaviours to triage effectively before escalating to Engineering.
Automation & workflow support: Advise on and troubleshoot customer-built automations (e.g. Zapier, Make, n8n), diagnosing failures and recommending improvements, while supporting equivalent builds within Attio’s native workflows.
AI & integrations support: Troubleshoot MCP server connections and support customers integrating Attio into AI-powered workflows and toolchains.
Autonomous regional ownership: Act as the primary technical support contact for APAC, independently managing a wide range of queries — from foundational product questions to complex technical investigations.
Customer advocacy: Surface recurring issues, patterns, and product feedback from the APAC region, acting as the voice of the customer to Support, Product, and Engineering.
Process and knowledge improvement: Contribute to Help Center content, internal documentation, and support workflows, continuously improving how we operate.
Product mastery: Build deep expertise in Attio’s product, APIs, and integrations, staying ahead of new features to support customers with confidence.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
We’re looking for a customer-obsessed problem solver who combines technical curiosity with empathy and a love for helping others succeed.
Proven experience: 2+ years in a technical support or customer support role within SaaS, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
Strong technical depth: Experience troubleshooting APIs, integrations, and workflows; comfortable working with logs, debugging issues, and understanding system behaviour.
Automation experience: Familiarity with tools such as Zapier, Make, or n8n — either supporting customers or building automations directly.
AI & modern tooling curiosity: Experience with AI-powered workflows and emerging technologies.
Independent operator: Comfortable working autonomously, making decisions, and managing complex issues without constant oversight.
Excellent communication: Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
Customer empathy: Strong instinct for understanding customer needs and delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions.
Curiosity and initiative: Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously learn and improve.
Collaborative mindset: Works effectively with Support, Product, and Engineering to deliver a seamless customer experience.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is shaping the future of Go-To-Market, and as a Solutions Consultant (SC), you’ll bring that future to life by building alongside customers and turning their biggest challenges into measurable outcomes. As a customer-facing, quota-carrying SC, you’ll bring together technical fluency and commercial ownership to grow your book of business. You’ll build pipeline with BDRs, engage key stakeholders, lead discovery, co-build workflow solutions live with customers, and guide opportunities through close. You’ll connect each solution to a clear business case and stay engaged through adoption, expansion, and renewal so customers realize the value of what they buy.
You’ll partner with BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists while maintaining clear ownership of customer relationships, opportunity momentum, and next steps. If you’re a builder who loves to sell—and want to work at the intersection of AI, productivity, and enterprise—this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Create pipeline across your book of business. Build target-account plans with BDRs and initiate outreach to priority stakeholders to generate qualified opportunities, alongside BDR-sourced pipeline.
- Own opportunities from first conversation through close. Lead discovery, qualify business needs and urgency, align stakeholders, shape the solution and business case, and drive the evaluation and commercial decision. Navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security review to close deals with the right scope, credits, and implementation path.
- Design and validate workflow solutions that deliver measurable value. Map current- and future-state workflows, co-build solutions live in Notion, and define realistic scope, success criteria, and an implementation path. Translate customer needs and validated outcomes into a clear business case, commercial recommendation, and decision path. Treat discovery as an opportunity to build and validate.
- Orchestrate the right partners while maintaining ownership. Engage BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists at the right moments, with clear context and asks, while owning opportunity momentum, customer communication, and next steps.
- Drive customer value and commercial growth after signature. Partner with Outcomes Architects, guide the initial path to value with a clear adoption plan, on onboarding and ongoing multi-workflow adoption, and own expansion strategy and renewal planning. Stay accountable for translating credits sold into credits consumed, and surface risks or expansion opportunities as customer workflows mature.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Commercial ownership and pipeline generation. You can demonstrate how you created or advanced business, influenced customer decisions, and owned measurable outcomes. Relevant experience may come from quota-carrying sales or adjacent customer-facing roles.
- Technical fluency and builder mindset. You are comfortable building live in software and can demo, co-design, and troubleshoot with a customer without needing a specialist in the room.
- AI fluency. You are excited about AI, build with new tools, and continually learn new ways of working.
- Discovery, qualification, and value articulation. You can uncover customer needs, map workflows, qualify business impact and urgency, and translate what you learn into commercial outcomes, adoption plans, and clear success criteria.
- Agency, urgency, and learning velocity. You set clear goals, take initiative, learn from customer interactions, and apply those learnings to improve outcomes. You bring new ideas and workflows to customers and make complex problems easier to solve.
- Complex customer engagement. You can lead multi-stakeholder interactions and navigate procurement, legal, and security review cycles.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Full-cycle B2B software sales experience or solutions engineering experience, with a consistent track record of exceeding quota across new-logo acquisition and expansion motions.
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and the ability to structure credit-based commercial proposals.
- Prior experience selling to commercial accounts in productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, partnering with a post-sale or Customer Success team as part of an integrated customer motion.
- Fluency in Swedish or Norwegian.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity, and we would be interested in applicants located in the US or Canada.
The Opportunity:
At Grafana Labs, we build observability tools that help users understand, respond to, and improve their systems – regardless of scale, complexity, or tech stack. We recently started a skunkworks initiative with a mission to bring observability to the rest of the business. Our goal is to make Grafana the single best place where humans and AI agents understand and act on real-time data from across the enterprise. As part of this initiative, we are building an AI-native data intelligence system that gives agents reliable, governed access to enterprise context. This system helps agents retrieve the right data, metadata, definitions, lineage, quality signals, and institutional knowledge without every agent builder having to maintain their own brittle context files. The principle is simple: the context system retrieves, agents decide, and data teams maintain the intelligence.
The new team is a mix of seasoned Grafanistas and new hires. We operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, both as individuals and as a team. Engineers are empowered to make decisions, move quickly, and validate ideas early – while being supported by a deeply collaborative culture that values curiosity, feedback, and cross-functional partnership.
We’re looking for a Senior Software (Database) Engineer to help build the underlying storage system for our general purpose data platform. The database layer has both OLAP and OTLP capabilities to support classic analytics queries while also serving up freshly stored data. It embraces the separation of compute and storage and is designed to run on multiple cloud providers. This is an early-stage role on a high-autonomy team, so you should be comfortable working through ambiguity, making pragmatic architectural decisions, and building systems that can evolve from internal dogfooding to production-grade SaaS. As the team matures, there’s a broad opportunity to expand or redefine this role based on impact and initiative.
What You'll Be Doing:
Take ownership over and build one or multiple parts of the database: Design, implement, test, and operate ingestion, query planning, distributed query execution, data formats, storage formats.
Create a scalable SaaS foundation: Help define and build the architecture for a multi-tenant database service, including tenant isolation, usage tracking, quotas, audit logs, background jobs, and reliable service boundaries.
Power agent-facing retrieval workflows: Build APIs and database interfaces that allow AI agents, MCP tools, CLIs, and internal applications to retrieve data quickly.
Work across product and infrastructure: Partner with the team to make practical tradeoffs between fast experimentation and long-term reliability, especially as the project moves from prototype to production.
Operate what you build: Instrument database services with metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards. Use observability tools to understand system behavior and improve reliability.
Contribute to technical direction: Help shape the architecture, service boundaries, storage choices, API contracts, deployment patterns, and engineering practices for a new product area.
Effective communication: You’ll be working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment, so we need someone who can communicate effectively and contribute across teams.
Ownership and impact: Take full ownership of the database solutions you develop, ensuring they are not only innovative but also scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real user workflows.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Strong engineering skills: Solid experience building production-grade, user-facing software systems. You’re a self-starter, capable of tackling complex engineering problems and making design decisions with minimal supervision.
AI experience with a practical mindset: You’re familiar with AI technologies and frameworks, and you focus on delivering high-quality solutions that work in the real world, not just in theory.
Quick iteration and experimentation: You’re comfortable releasing prototypes, collecting feedback, and iterating with a pragmatic mindset.
Proven initiative: You take ownership and drive projects forward, pushing boundaries to find the most impactful solutions. You can deal with ambiguity and are able to define scope where things are loosely defined.
Collaborative attitude: You communicate effectively with your peers. You’re open to feedback, and you bring a solutions-oriented mindset to the table.
Experience with distributed systems, catalogs and table formats, query engines.
Mastery of a programming language like golang, C++, or Rust
Proven track record of delivering software that made it into production and is actively used by users.
Exposure to working in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.
Bonus Points for:
Experience building distributed query engines.
Experience building data warehouses and/or data lakes.
Experience building tools for data engineering.
How we work:
We are a remote-first team that meets regularly over video and does most of our work asynchronously, in writing. We value creativity, diverse perspectives, and clear communication. Tempo is relied upon by prominent global organizations to monitor critical applications and infrastructure, and we expect everyone on the team, including our Staff engineers, to contribute ideas that make it a more reliable, more useful, and more loved product.
Compensation & Rewards:
In Canada, the Base compensation range for this role is $
164,490 - $197,389.
Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes—RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
*Compensation ranges are country specific. If you are applying for this role from a different location than listed above, your recruiter will discuss your specific market’s defined pay range & benefits at the beginning of the process.
