About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
GTM Systems builds and runs the platform that Sales and contracting operate on. These are production systems that process real transactions and produce the data the rest of the company depends on, and the team has grown into a scope where the engineering practices need to grow with it. The platform-developer model got us here. The next stage is a team that operates as software engineers on top of it.
We are hiring a technical lead to build that next stage. You will design and stand up the engineering motions the team runs on, from pull requests and CI/CD through automated UAT, and you will set the technical bar by working alongside the team rather than legislating from the side. Anthropic is also an unusual place to do this work: our own frontier models are part of your toolkit, the team already uses them daily, and a real part of this role is turning that individual usage into a coordinated engineering practice.
Key responsibilities
Lead architecture reviews for GTM systems that process lead-to-cash transactions and generate the data points the organization runs on, including changes originating in other teams that land on our platform
Architect and mature the engineering pipeline the team develops against: pull request workflow, CI/CD, automated UAT, and the deploy path from source control to production
Establish shared AI-assisted development standards for the team, converting existing individual usage into consistent practice that holds up under review
Work with engineering teams outside GTM on shared architectural problems and common tooling, where the right answer is a platform decision rather than a local one
Build and shape the agentic tooling running on top of our platform, and set the pattern other engineers follow when they build the next one
Trace the dependency chain from upstream data and downstream quoting and provisioning systems, and make sure design decisions account for what they break
Partner with the platform developers on the team as engineering practice deepens, expanding what the team can safely ship
Minimum qualifications
Have strong software engineering fundamentals: version control discipline, testing, code review, deployment automation, and a bias toward simple designs
Have built the delivery pipeline for a team, not just worked within one, and can describe the sequencing choices you made
Have led a team through a step change in engineering practice as its scope grew, including what you did when adoption slowed
Work fluently with AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, and have views on how a team should standardize around them
Can run a technical discussion across teams that do not report to you and leave it with a decision rather than a follow-up meeting
Reason about systems you do not own well enough to predict how your changes affect them
Prefer influence through demonstrated work over positional authority
Preferred qualifications
Have worked on business-critical enterprise platforms where financial correctness and auditability mattered
Have experience with Salesforce or comparable enterprise platforms, including their metadata and deployment models
Have built tooling or agents on top of an enterprise system of record
Have operated in a company under audit or compliance constraints

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Nick Guardino, Senior Director of Marketing Ops at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a GTM AI Engineer to help take our AI agents from scrappy prototypes to production-grade systems our GTM teams can depend on.
Over the last 3.5 months, our GTM AI team has built 11 agents now running in production, serving 120 active users and roughly 25,000 tool calls a day — all through custom CLIs that work, but weren't built to scale. We believe businesses can run leaner and go further when they deploy AI agents well, and we're figuring out that motion in real time. This role owns the scale and reliability layer so the rest of the team can keep building.
What we value
Craft over quick wins
— energized by making things robust, not just making them work.
A point of view
— we want someone who asks "why did you build it that way?" and has a specific answer for what to do instead.
Comfortable being wrong
— you try things fast, and you course-correct just as fast.
AI-native by default
— you'd rather direct Claude to write and QA code than write it by hand.
What you'll do
Alpha-to-production ownership
— take newly built agents from working v1 to production-ready: write evals, harden prompts and tool definitions, and refactor prototype scaffolding into clean, production-quality code.
Observability & stability
— instrument tracing, logging, and monitoring across the agent fleet so we catch regressions before our 120+ GTM users do.
Deployment & infrastructure
— stand up and maintain the pipelines that get agents into users' hands without surprises, owning environment parity and release hygiene on our GCP stack.
Database administration
— own how agents read from and write to our databases, safely and at scale.
Fleet maintenance
— monitor agent behavior in production, triage issues, and ship the steady stream of improvements that make an agent indispensable rather than just useful.
Partner closely with the GTM AI team
— free up our agent builders to stay in their zero-to-one wheelhouse while you own scale and reliability.
Bring an outside point of view
— tell us what we built wrong, and back it up with a plan to fix it.
What we're looking for
4+ years in software engineering, platform/infrastructure engineering, or a similarly technical role, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
Comfort working in the terminal daily, with a real GitHub PR-and-deploy workflow.
Cloud hosting experience — Kubernetes, VMs, or equivalent; Google Cloud experience strongly preferred.
Experience with how agents interact with and edit databases, including some hands-on database administration.
Familiarity with LLM-based application development: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, evals, and modern agent frameworks.
Ability to prompt AI tools correctly, review their output critically, and direct them to QA their own work — this is an AI-native role, not a hand-coding one.
Scrappy enough to iterate fast, disciplined enough to think about consistency once something needs to scale.
A point of view, and the willingness to ask "why did you build it that way?"
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is
$140,000–$170,000 USD
(or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we’re committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family

16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO
, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a GTM DevOps Engineer to join our Business Systems team and own the reliability, automation, and delivery infrastructure behind our Go-To-Market (GTM) technology stack. This role sits at the intersection of platform reliability and CI/CD engineering, ensuring that our critical business systems — including Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, Workato, and an expanding portfolio of AI-powered workloads — are deployed consistently, operate resiliently, and scale with the business.
You will partner closely with Business Systems developers, architects, and business stakeholders to build and maintain the pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and operational standards that keep our GTM systems healthy and our release cycles fast and predictable. As our team builds and deploys AI agents across GCP Cloud Run and AWS Bedrock AgentCore, you will serve as the infrastructure and deployment owner for these workloads — bringing engineering discipline to an environment where AI-generated code is increasingly entering production. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who thrives in complexity, takes ownership of platform uptime, and brings a software engineering mindset to business application operations — directly supporting GTMSOE's broader mission of operational excellence across the GTM org.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CI/CD & RELEASE ENGINEERING
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (SFDX/Salesforce CLI), NetSuite (SuiteScript/SuiteBundler), MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform), and Workato; establish branching strategies, environment promotion standards, and release gating processes across all GTM platforms.
- Extend CI/CD practices to cover AI agent workloads deployed on GCP Cloud Run and AWS Bedrock AgentCore — including containerized builds, deployment pipelines, and automated validation gates.
- Implement safe rollout patterns — including feature toggles, phased launches, automated validation, smoke tests, and rollback procedures — to reduce deployment risk on business-critical changes.
PLATFORM RELIABILITY & OBSERVABILITY
- Own SLA/SLO definitions for core GTM systems; standardize monitoring, alerting, and runbook patterns across quote-to-cash and GTM integrations, with proactive health checks and synthetic monitoring for critical flows (e.g., Salesforce ↔ NetSuite, Workato).
- Extend observability coverage to GCP Cloud Run workloads — Cloud Scheduler jobs, agent pipelines, and integration microservices — and AWS-hosted agent infrastructure.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for platform incidents and drive post-incident reviews with actionable remediation plans.
CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT
- Manage sandbox, staging, and production environment lifecycles across GTM platforms — including refresh cycles, data masking, environment segmentation, and promotion standards that balance speed with reliability.
- Own cloud infrastructure for Business Systems-operated workloads on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Secret Manager, GCS, Artifact Registry) and AWS (Lambda, S3, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, Bedrock AgentCore); apply IaC practices to make provisioning repeatable and auditable.
- Establish base image pinning, dependency vulnerability scanning, and supply chain security practices for containerized workloads — particularly AI-generated codebases deployed via tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Define and enforce patch management and container runtime ownership for vibe-coded and agentic workloads entering production.
SECRETS, ACCESS & SECURITY POSTURE
- Establish and enforce a consistent secrets management standard across all Business Systems workloads — GCP Secret Manager, AWS Secrets Manager, and equivalent — eliminating credential exposure via environment variables, source code, or client-side contexts.
- Define and maintain API key rotation policies in alignment with security standards (high-severity keys: quarterly; vendor keys: annually at minimum).
- Partner with Security and IT on IAM scoping, least-privilege service accounts, VPC configuration, and public/private endpoint governance for Cloud Run and Bedrock deployments.
- Maintain a centralized registry of deployed workloads — GitHub repos, deployment URLs, architecture docs, data classification, and observability dashboard links — accessible to AppSec and infrastructure teams.
AUTOMATION & TOOLING
- Build internal tooling, automation scripts, and automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, regression) to reduce toil and increase deployment confidence; continuously evaluate new tooling to improve developer experience.
- Develop or enforce GitHub repository templates for Cloud Run deployments that cover security audits, deployment configuration, API integration, and MCP server patterns — serving as a reusable foundation for AI-assisted builds.
GOVERNANCE, STANDARDS & COLLABORATION
- Define where self-service deployment and administration are appropriate versus where stronger change control and operational guardrails are required; serve as the DevOps SME, enabling developers to operate with autonomy within those boundaries.
- Document and maintain operational runbooks, architecture decision records (ADRs), and deployment standards as living artifacts.
- Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, Security, and business stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives that touch the GTM platform.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering role
- 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing Salesforce environments (SFDX, Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, sandboxes, change sets, or pipeline-based deployments)
- Experience with at least one additional GTM/ERP platform, such as NetSuite, MuleSoft, or Workato, in an operational or deployment capacity
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Copado
- Hands-on experience with GCP services — Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Secret Manager, Artifact Registry, GCS — in a deployment or operations context
- Experience with AWS services in an integration or operations context — Lambda, S3, SQS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch; familiarity with Bedrock AgentCore or similar managed agent hosting infrastructure is a strong plus
- Experience managing containerized workloads, including image lifecycle, dependency scanning, and supply chain security practices
- Experience with incident management, on-call processes, and writing post-incident reviews
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js for automation and tooling
- Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and version control best practices
- Understanding of API-based integration patterns (REST, SOAP, event-driven) as they apply to MuleSoft, Workato, or similar iPaaS tools
- Hands-on familiarity with secrets management across GCP Secret Manager and AWS Secrets Manager; strong grasp of security best practices in CI/CD contexts (least-privilege IAM, no hardcoded credentials, key rotation)
- Monitoring and observability tooling experience (Datadog, Splunk, Google Cloud Monitoring, CloudWatch, or similar)
- Infrastructure-as-code proficiency — Terraform or CloudFormation; experience applying IaC to Cloud Run or Lambda-based workloads preferred
- Familiarity with container security practices: base image pinning, vulnerability scanning (e.g., Artifact Registry, Trivy), and dependency management for AI-generated codebases
Operational & Mindset
- Ownership: Takes full accountability for platform uptime, deployment quality, and the operational health of GTM infrastructure end-to-end.
- Velocity: Operates with a bias for action — ships iteratively, reduces toil systematically, and keeps release cycles fast and predictable.
- AI & Automation mindset: Actively leverages AI-assisted tooling and automation to accelerate delivery, improve reliability, and reduce manual overhead across the GTM stack.
- Collaboration: Fluent cross-functional partner to developers, architects, Security, IT, and business stakeholders — enables autonomy without becoming a bottleneck.
- Growth: Continuously evaluates new tooling, patterns, and practices to raise the bar on platform engineering and developer experience.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK WITH
- Salesforce: Core GTM CRM platform; this role owns deployment pipelines, environment management, and release reliability across orgs.
- NetSuite: ERP platform integrated into the quote-to-cash flow; managed via SuiteScript/SuiteBundler within CI/CD standards.
- MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform): Integration middleware; this role maintains deployment pipelines and observability for MuleSoft-managed flows.
- Workato: iPaaS automation platform; monitored and deployed within the broader GTM reliability framework.
- GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Secret Manager, Artifact Registry, GCS): Primary cloud platform for AI agent workloads and integration microservices.
- AWS (Lambda, S3, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, Bedrock AgentCore): Secondary cloud environment for agent hosting and integration operations.
- GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Copado: CI/CD tooling used to build, validate, and promote changes across GTM platforms.
- Terraform / CloudFormation: IaC tooling for repeatable, auditable infrastructure provisioning.
- Datadog / Splunk / Google Cloud Monitoring / CloudWatch: Observability and alerting stack across GTM and cloud workloads.

As part of our growing Data Science & Analytics team, you will play an instrumental role in Anthropic's mission of building safe and beneficial AI — this time by driving data-informed decisions across the commercial customer lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of fast-moving sales operations and rigorous statistical analysis. You will work across multiple segments and products, partnering with analytics engineers, fellow data scientists, and go-to-market leadership to turn complex commercial data into actionable strategy.
You will own measurement and analysis for new logo acquisition through activation, expansion, and retention for a rapidly scaling, consumption-based AI platform. You've worked in cultures of analytical rigor before, and you're eager to help shape the norms and best practices of a growing data science function at a pivotal moment in the company's growth.
Key responsibilities
Define key metrics, build measurement frameworks, and maintain core reporting to evaluate GTM success across segments and products
Analyze commercial and user data to surface actionable insights, size opportunities, and influence roadmaps and go-to-market strategy
Develop hypotheses and apply rigorous causal inference methods — controlled experiments, synthetic controls — to make clear, actionable recommendations
Investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analyses, and provide data-driven guidance on priorities and decisions
Build statistical models, optimization frameworks, and simulations to support and automate commercial decision-making processes
Present analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including GTM leadership
Establish foundational data practices and help scale analytics infrastructure to support rapid product and commercial iteration
Minimum qualifications
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools
Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and A/B testing, particularly in high-scale technical environments
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and business audiences
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments — comfortable creating structure and driving progress where neither yet exists
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles
A strong track record in multi-segment, multi-product B2B sales or commercial analytics, especially with consumption-based revenue models
Experience with AI/ML products, large language models, or developer tools in the AI/ML ecosystem
Genuine interest in Anthropic's mission of developing safe and beneficial AI

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
