We are a leading trading platform that is ambitiously expanding to the four corners of the globe. Our top-rated products have won prestigious industry awards for their cutting-edge technology and seamless client experience. We deliver only the best, so we are always in search of the best people to join our ever-growing talented team.
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead Capital.com’s operations in Dubai as we move most of our operations onto AI and automation.
You will build and strengthen the Dubai operations team and support it day to day. You’ll agree global strategy with the Global Head of Operations and deliver it locally, and you’ll be the main person responsible for operations in front of the regulator. Much of the work means coordinating across global functions so local needs are met, from regional performance and incidents to launch readiness. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, Compliance and global operations leadership, and you’ll be a key player in bringing AI into how operations run locally.
Responsibilities:
Build and strengthen the Dubai operations team and support it day to day.
Agree global strategy with the Global Head of Operations and deliver it locally.
Act as the main operations contact for the regulator. Work with the General Manager and Compliance to turn local requirements into operational actions.
Coordinate delivery across global functions, agreeing service expectations, handovers and escalation routes.
Own regional performance. Investigate service gaps, separate local issues from wider process problems, and agree fixes with accountable teams.
Coordinate the regional side of incidents and prepare operations for launches and major changes, escalating gaps before launch decisions.
Manage service dependencies, including vendors, and drive improvements, including AI and automation, with global process owners.
Report clearly to regional and global leaders, and escalate what needs more authority or resources.
Requirements:
5+ years in operations leadership in financial services, fintech, payments or another regulated environment.
Experience building and leading operations teams.
Direct experience as an operations contact for a regulator.
Track record of delivering through global functions you do not manage.
Experience with operational KPIs, incident coordination and launch readiness.
Clear communication with senior leaders, and based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
Nice to have:
Experience in brokerage, trading platforms or digital banking.
Knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment.
Hands-on experience introducing AI or automation into operations.
Location: Dubai; London, England, United Kingdom
Workplace: hybrid
We are a leading trading platform that is ambitiously expanding to the four corners of the globe. Our top-rated products have won prestigious industry awards for their cutting-edge technology and seamless client experience. We deliver only the best, so we are always in search of the best people to join our ever-growing talented team.
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager - AI Automation to lead how Capital.com uses AI and automation across Operations, including Customer Support and FinCrime.
You will own the automation roadmap. That means deciding what to automate, sizing and ranking each opportunity, and then building, testing and rolling out the automations with the teams who use them. You’ll redesign processes so that AI handles what it does well, fixed rules cover what needs to be predictable, and people keep the decisions that need judgement. You’ll work closely with operational managers, control owners, Product and Engineering, and lead a team of one to two people.
Requirements:
Own the automation roadmap and increase the share of automated tasks across Operations.
Find opportunities by analysing where time is lost, errors occur or work is repeated. Prioritise those with a clear baseline and measurable value.
Redesign processes with their users and control owners. Agree where AI adds value, where fixed rules work better and where a human must decide.
Build prototypes and working automations, and work with Product and Engineering on integrations and production support.
Test against real conditions (incomplete inputs, unexpected outputs, failed dependencies). Agree data, permissions and controls before launch, with human review and a manual fallback.
Lead rollout with operational managers and support colleagues through adoption.
Track quality, usage and benefits against baseline, including review and support costs. Fix failures, and document ownership, monitoring and recovery after launch.
Requirements:
5+ years in operations, process excellence, automation or a similar field.
Hands-on experience building and launching AI and automation in live operations, with measurable results.
Ability to size opportunities and turn them into a prioritised roadmap.
Experience redesigning processes with operational teams and control owners in a regulated or control-heavy environment.
Experience testing AI workflows and designing human review and exception handling.
Experience working with Product and Engineering, and managing direct reports.
Nice to have:
Financial services, fintech, brokerage or payments background.
Automation in Customer Support, KYC or FinCrime/AML.
Hands-on use of LLM APIs, workflow tools such as n8n, and Python or SQL.
Location: London, England, United Kingdom; Dubai

Our top-rated products have won prestigious industry awards for their cutting-edge technology and seamless client experience. We deliver only the best, so we are always in search of the best people to join our ever-growing talented team.
Responsibilities
AI strategy and delivery.
Set the AI strategy for Operations and own its delivery end to end. Find where AI can remove manual work, build the business cases and lead implementation with functional, product and engineering owners. Set common evaluation standards, track benefits and make sure every solution runs with appropriate controls and human oversight.
AI automation.
Treat automation of operational processes as a core objective. Set targets for the share of work automated, prioritise the highest-value processes and measure the capacity released.
Strategy and roadmap.
Own and build the team that translates operational strategy into a prioritised improvement and AI roadmap. Define the problem each initiative addresses, the intended benefit, its dependencies and who is accountable for delivery, and lead delivery of key strategic projects.
Capacity and workforce planning.
Build a consistent approach to capacity and workforce planning. Develop demand forecasts and capacity models that help the business allocate resources.
Process redesign.
Lead cross-functional process redesign, focusing on how work moves between functions and where it can be automated. Work with the Head of Operations, who owns day-to-day process performance, and agree changes with process owners.
Operational controls.
Establish a practical framework for documenting operational controls and coordinating first-line testing. Help process owners identify gaps and track corrective actions, working with Risk and Compliance on the approach.
Portfolio management.
Manage the overall improvement portfolio, making dependencies and resource constraints visible. Bring clear recommendations to the COO and functional leaders when priorities compete or expected benefits no longer justify the work.
Measuring benefits.
Define how improvements will be measured, establish credible starting points and assess the effect of changes on service quality, control performance, capacity and cost.
Requirements
Significant experience in operational strategy, transformation or operational excellence in financial services, fintech, payments or another regulated, high-volume environment.
A proven record of setting an AI or automation strategy and delivering it in an operational setting, from use cases and business cases through to deployment, adoption and measured results such as reduced manual effort or capacity released.
Experience building and leading a team of operations managers, analysts, planners or improvement specialists.
A track record of running an improvement portfolio: building business cases, prioritising competing initiatives, managing dependencies and stopping work that no longer pays off.
Understanding of capacity and workforce planning, including demand forecasting and how to build capacity models that leaders use to make resourcing decisions.
Process improvement expertise (for example Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods) applied across functions, with measured results.
Working knowledge of first-line control frameworks, control documentation and testing, and experience working with Risk and Compliance.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to set credible baselines, measure benefits and present clear recommendations to the COO and senior leaders.
Nice to have
Experience in online brokerage, trading platforms or digital banking.
Experience with operations spread across several regulated entities or countries.
Hands-on familiarity with LLM tools, workflow automation or RPA platforms.
Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Jira or workforce management and process mining platforms.
Recognised portfolio, programme or project management qualification.

Capital.com is building out its internal platform capabilities, and AI is a growing part of that. The role combines architectural ownership with hands-on delivery: you will design, build, deploy and operate the platform, including its infrastructure and DevOps. Reporting to the Director of Product Security, you will set up this function as its first member and make the early technical decisions that the future team will build on.
As Platform Architect, you will own the architecture of the platform that more than 1,000 employees rely on, including their access to AI tools such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI and future providers.
Responsibilities:
Build the AI platform architecture: the reference design for how LLM capabilities are accessed, governed, monitored, and extended across the organisation.
Own every architectural decision for the AI platform, and document, justify, and stand behind each one.
Evaluate and select new models, tools, and frameworks as the market moves.
Deliver the platform as a service, so teams can move their agents into governed cloud infrastructure.
Govern Anthropic (Claude API, Claude Code, Anthropic Enterprise), OpenAI, and future providers, covering API access controls, credential management, model version policy, cost allocation, and acceptable use standards.
Own technical relationships with Anthropic and OpenAI at the enterprise level.
Build cloud infrastructure for AI workloads on AWS and GCP: Bedrock, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, and supporting services (S3, Cloud Storage, IAM, and monitoring on both platforms).
Deploy and securely configure n8n, and build automation workflows connecting LLMs to Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, HR systems, and proprietary data sources.
Design and secure MCP servers and gateways connecting AI agents to internal services.
Build Python integrations for AI-powered internal tooling: RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, prompt libraries, and internal AI assistants.
Deliver hands-on: you write the code, build the workflows, and deploy the tooling. This isn't an advisory role.
Build data privacy and security architecture for LLM usage in a regulated environment, including prompt classification, output controls, and audit trails aligned with FCA, CySEC, ASIC, and DORA.
Build observability across the full stack: token consumption, cost per team, latency, error rates, and policy violations across cloud platforms and direct API providers.
Build an AI adoption framework of standards, patterns, and onboarding materials that let teams across Technology use AI safely and consistently.
Run internal enablement through workshops, documentation, and direct support for teams moving from ad-hoc AI use to governed, repeatable processes.
Report AI platform status, risks, and roadmap to Technology leadership
Requirements:
8+ years in engineering, with at least 2 years building LLM-based systems in production, not prototypes or POCs.
Comfort operating as the first person in a function: you set your own priorities, unblock yourself, and deliver without a team around you.
Production-grade Python: tooling that others depend on, not scripts you hand off.
Deep, hands-on experience with the Anthropic and/or OpenAI APIs: function calling, tool use, streaming, RAG, prompt management, token optimisation, and model versioning.
Hands-on experience with agentic platforms, MCP servers, and MCP gateways, including designing flows between AI agents and internal services.
n8n: deploying, securely configuring, and maintaining multi-step automation workflows at organisation scale.
Solid AWS for AI workloads: Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch, deployed and operated in production.
Solid GCP for AI workloads: Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.
Hands-on DevOps capability to deploy and run what you build.
Architectural thinking: end-to-end system design, clear trade-off documentation, and the ability to defend decisions to senior stakeholders.
Security engineering for what you build: secrets and credential management, key rotation, and least-privilege IAM across cloud and SaaS.
Data protection and auditability by design: classifying what data can reach which model and provider, controlling and logging prompts and outputs, and building audit trails that hold up to a regulator.
Fluency in the LLM threat surface, including prompt injection, data exfiltration through model outputs, insecure tool and agent use, and model supply-chain risk, with working knowledge of a recognised framework such as the OWASP LLM Top 10 or NIST AI RMF.
Nice to have:
Fintech, brokerage, or financial services background.
DORA or ISO 27001:2022 knowledge as it applies to AI system risk.
Familiarity with the EU AI Act and other AI regulatory requirements, as well as AI-specific risk and governance standards such as NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
LLM orchestration frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
Hands-on experience with LLM guardrail and DLP tooling: Bedrock Guardrails, Vertex AI safety filters, or prompt-firewall and PII-redaction tools.
Experience building internal developer platforms or AI centres of excellence.
AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional ML Engineer, or equivalent.

You’ll run UAE marketing performance like your own business, managing the day-to-day plan, local channels and partners, while also supporting performance activity across the wider region. Strategy, brand and regional budget sit with the Head of Marketing, MENA, and your job is to execute against them with judgment, speed and full ownership of results.
Responsibilities:
Own UAE’s marketing performance day to day, treating local commercial outcomes as a
direct personal accountability, not a shared regional metric.
Execute the UAE portion of the regional marketing plan agreed with the Head of Marketing,
MENA, adapting tactics to local market conditions within agreed budget and brand
parameters.
Manage local brand, OOH, TV, radio, podcast, affiliate, and influencer relationships in UAE,
in coordination with central Centres of Excellence, who retain authority over execution
quality and standards.
Track UAE-specific brand health and digital reputation signals, surfacing issues early
rather than after they show up in the numbers.
Recommend budget reallocation and channel trade-offs for UAE to the Head of Marketing,
MENA, with clear rationale, rather than requesting sign-off without a point of view.
Escalate regulatory, cultural, or reputational risks specific to Dubai to the Head of
Marketing, MENA and relevant CoE leads, early and factually.
Build and manage the day-to-day relationships with UAE-based agencies, media owners,
and partners that make fast, well-judged local decisions possible.
Coordinate agency or junior marketing resource dedicated to UAE where the market
requires it.
Support Head of Marketing MENA with other markets as and when required with a
particular focus on supporting performance marketing across the region.
Requirements:
Industry Knowledge
5+ years of in-house experience running marketing execution or owning a market/channel budget in a regulated consumer industry (financial services, fintech or brokerage preferred)
First-hand knowledge of UAE channels: OOH, TV, radio, podcasts, affiliates, influencers and local sponsorships
Understanding of the SCA framework and UAE marketing rules, and the habit of checking before assuming
Problem-Solving
Able to spot which local opportunities fit agreed strategy and risk tolerance, and which don’t
Make quick, sound calls within your remit and know what needs Head of Marketing, MENA sign-off
Look for the root cause when a channel underperforms instead of adding spend
Collaboration & Influence
Work with Centres of Excellence on execution standards, not around them
Manage agencies, media and partners like someone who owns the outcome
Escalate risks early rather than explain them later
Mindset & Style
Treat UAE as your market, while final sign-off sits with the Head of Marketing, MENA
Comfortable working within set boundaries while still pushing for what the market needs
Low ego, high accountability: own results and misses alike
Fluent Arabic and English required

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Business Risk & Insurance (BRI) team, part of Treasury, safeguards the company's balance sheet, people and physical assets. We are the financial and operational safety net for a company building some of the world's most advanced AI systems, from large-scale compute and data center infrastructure to our offices and the products we put in customers' hands. The team is scaling quickly as Anthropic grows.
As a Risk & Insurance Specialist, you'll build operational excellence across contracts, claims, and day-to-day insurance operations, using AI and automation to streamline processes wherever you can. You'll work closely with Compute, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Security, Product and Payroll to spot emerging risks early, help structure global insurance programs, support our risk-financing strategy and drive loss prevention. This is a rare chance to insure one of the fastest-growing companies, where parts of the risk landscape are still being defined, and to help Anthropic pursue its mission boldly by keeping our operations resilient and protected.
Key responsibilities
Insurance review of contracts: Review insurance and indemnity requirements in customer, vendor, lease, and compute agreements, and advise Legal and business partners on compliant, practical positions.
Insurance operations: Manage claims intake and tracking, certificates of insurance, broker coordination, and policy administration. Build a data warehouse / repository and repeatable processes as volume scales.
Data gathering and reporting: Collect and maintain exposure data (property values, payroll, revenue, headcount, etc.) for renewals, audits, and underwriting submissions.
Actuarial and quantitative analysis: Support limit-adequacy, loss, and retention analyses to inform program structure and decisions.
Captive operations: Support captive formation and ongoing operations, including fronting and reinsurance coordination.
Automation: Identify and implement ways to automate manual insurance workflows using AI and workflow tools.
Cross-functional support: Partner with Compute, Finance, Legal, and Payroll on insurance questions across the business.
Minimum qualifications
Experience in insurance, corporate risk management, brokerage, underwriting, or risk consulting.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Kraken and Payward VIP team supports the firm’s highest-value private clients: high-net-worth individuals who expect a premium, secure, and deeply tailored experience. We ensure Kraken remains the exchange of choice for VIPs through white-glove relationship management, personalized trading enablement, and high-impact benefits.
We are looking for a Head of VIP, Asia to lead and grow Payward VIP presence across the region. This is a player-coach role: you will build and lead a small, high-performing team while personally owning strategic client relationships, originating new business, and shaping the regional growth playbook.
You will set the standard for how Kraken serves, retains, and grows its most valuable private clients in Asia. You will be equally comfortable in a senior client meeting, building an introducer network, coaching a relationship manager, hosting a VIP event, and partnering internally to remove the product or operational barriers that cost us high-value business.
Payward VIP program is unique, and we intend to keep it that way. We don’t copy what other exchanges and desks do. You’ll take what makes our program different and adapt it to how Asia’s VIP clients actually trade, network, and build trust. That means testing new ideas, learning fast, dropping what doesn’t work, and scaling what does. If you’re bold, comfortable with ambiguity, and humble enough to fail fast and move on, this is your seat.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Lead, coach, and develop VIP relationship managers in Asia; establish clear standards for client coverage, pipeline management, service quality, and commercial performance.
- Build the operating model for VIP growth across Asia, including territory coverage, account segmentation, referral strategy, events, and performance reporting.
- Own regional AOP growth, net deposits, client assets, trading volume, retention, and revenue performance.
- Build a repeatable pipeline of qualified high-value clients through direct outreach, referrals, introducers, family offices, proprietary trading firms, OTC desks, miners, project treasuries, and high-volume traders.
- Represent the voice of Asia’s VIP client base internally: identify competitive threats, regional market dynamics, product gaps, and opportunities that influence where private-client capital trades.
PERSONALLY OWN STRATEGIC CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
- Own and grow Kraken's most strategically important private client relationships across Asia, bringing our full VIP offering - ranging from trading and asset management to other services - to market locally, within Kraken's compliance and risk framework.
- Serve as the senior relationship owner for Kraken’s largest and most strategically important private clients across Asia.
- Bring Kraken’s VIP and private-client offering to market locally, including spot, margin, futures, OTC execution, earn and yield opportunities, lending, and tailored benefits.
- Build trusted, durable relationships while ensuring every client interaction and commercial initiative operates within Kraken’s licensing, compliance, and risk framework.
BUILD REGIONAL PRESENCE AND PARTNERSHIPS
- Develop Kraken’s presence in Asia’s VIP trading and investor communities, including private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL and trader networks, and closed-door investor circles.
- Design and lead high-quality regional programming, including VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference-adjacent events, and partner activations, in collaboration with Marketing and Regional teams.
- Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that create a durable source of qualified VIP opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, Client Service, and Operations to launch regional growth initiatives and improve the client experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in VIP relationship management, private banking, brokerage, private-client sales, account management, or business development, including meaningful experience in crypto or digital assets.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the judgment and practical coaching ability to lead a small team while remaining hands-on with strategic clients and revenue opportunities.
- A strong personal network among Asia’s crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities. Experience across Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Singapore is especially valuable.
- A proven record of personally originating and converting new business, not solely servicing an existing client book.
- Deep knowledge of crypto market structure and trading solutions, including spot, margin, futures, OTC, lending, tokenized equities, and yield/earn products.
- Strong commercial judgment and comfort managing KPIs including assets on platform, net deposits, revenue, trading volume, retention, pipeline conversion, and client portfolio growth.
- Native or near-native Mandarin and fluent English.
- Comfort operating across multiple regulated Asian jurisdictions, with sound judgment on when to engage Compliance and Risk partners early.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region for strategic client meetings, events, and conferences.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

Join our Product and Regulatory Legal team, embedded with Kraken's Product, Design and Engineering teams to ship novel products and experiences that accelerate the global adoption of crypto. We are a tight, experienced group of lawyers from a diverse range of tradfi, fintech and crypto backgrounds who move fast, stay curious and take pride in the commercial accountability of our advice, partnering directly with Product, senior leadership and Compliance to chart clear, defensible paths to launch and to keep our licensed entities running smoothly.
This is a senior product-facing legal role for the European Union. You will be the lawyer the business trusts on questions that cut across several regimes at once: for example, a single product such as a tokenised equity, a card, or an institutional custody and prime brokerage service can touch the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive ("MiFID II"), the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation ("MiCA"), the Payment Services Directive ("PSD2"), the Electronic Money Directive ("EMD2") and banking rules at the same time. You will bring clarity on which regime applies, what it requires, and how to launch within it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Product Legal, you will act as a senior legal adviser to European leadership on new products, licensing structure and regulatory strategy.
- Own cross-functional product counselling for European Union launches from discovery to design, launch and iteration, giving Product, Engineering, Compliance and leadership decision-ready advice with clear options and risk trade-offs
- Advise on the regulatory perimeter and classification of new offerings across MiFID II and the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation ("MiFIR"), MiCA, the European Market Infrastructure Regulation ("EMIR"), payment services and electronic money rules, and banking regulation, including where an instrument or service falls between regimes (for example tokenised securities, crypto-asset derivatives, margin and financing, and stablecoin-linked products)
- Advise on payments and electronic money offerings, including the Krak card and account propositions, safeguarding, open banking and account-access obligations, and the developing Payment Services Directive 3 and Payment Services Regulation framework
- Advise on banking-related questions that arise in the European Union, including bank partnerships and sponsor-bank arrangements, deposit-taking and lending perimeter questions, the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive, and the interaction of these rules with our custody, prime brokerage and financing products
- Monitor and interpret European Union legislative and supervisory developments, take part in consultations and industry association work where appropriate, and translate their significance for the business proactively
- Draft and negotiate client-facing terms and conditions, taking clear, business-aligned positions
- Act as gatekeeper for European Union outside counsel engagements: scope the work, estimate and manage cost, and sign off before matters go externally
- Mentor and develop more junior lawyers in the team, set quality standards for plain-English, risk-based advice, and act as a senior sounding board for colleagues across the Regulatory Legal team
- Use AI-assisted tools (for example Enterprise GPTs) to speed up regulatory analysis, first drafts and matter tracking, and to build self-service tools that let stakeholders answer commoditised legal and regulatory questions themselves
- Advise on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements affecting products, including the Transfer of Funds Regulation ("Travel Rule") and the new European Union anti-money laundering package, and on market abuse, conduct, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act ("DORA")
- Lead or oversee licensing, authorisation and variation workstreams in the European Union, including scoping requirements, mapping pathways, supervising outside counsel, preparing application materials and managing regulator interactions
WHAT YOU BRING
- Qualified lawyer admitted in Ireland, England and Wales, or another European Union Member State
- 15 or more years' post-qualification experience ("PQE") in financial services regulatory law, gained at a regulated financial services institution (for example a bank, payment institution, broker-dealer, exchange, central counterparty or crypto services provider) or at a leading law firm supporting such clients, ideally with in-house or direct product counselling experience
- Deep, current knowledge of several of the following, with real depth in at least two: MiFID II and MiFIR (investment services, market structure, derivatives and conduct), MiCA (crypto-asset services, custody, trading platforms and stablecoins), European Union payment services and electronic money regulation, and European Union banking regulation
- Demonstrated ability to analyse novel products against overlapping regimes and give a clear view on classification and perimeter, including in areas where the rules are unsettled or supervisors have not yet spoken
- Direct experience managing senior regulator relationships, including notifications, information requests, supervisory correspondence and examinations
- Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including DORA
- Proven ability to instruct, supervise and manage the cost of outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Outstanding analytical, drafting and organisational skills, with crisp, plain-English writing
- Ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyer stakeholders and for senior leadership
- A pragmatic, commercially accountable approach to legal and regulatory risk that gives stakeholders a useful range of options and a clear recommendation
- Experience mentoring or managing lawyers, and the judgement to know when to escalate
- Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, remote environment
- Familiarity with using AI tools such as Enterprise GPTs to increase the efficiency of legal services
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience advising on tokenised securities and the European Union Distributed Ledger Technology Pilot Regime
- Experience with EMIR, including the clearing obligation, margin for non-centrally cleared derivatives and transaction reporting
- Experience with prime brokerage, securities financing, margin lending or institutional custody
- Experience advising on the United Kingdom cryptoasset regime or other non-European Union frameworks that intersect with European Union operations
- Experience supporting regulatory aspects of corporate transactions, such as change-of-control notifications and entity migrations
- Experience with European Union data protection and consumer protection rules as they apply to financial products
- Fluency in a second European language
- An authentic interest in crypto and digital assets, and familiarity with Payward's and competitors' products
