WHY BACKEND ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day. When a Fortune 50 company instruments their application with Langfuse, they hit the infrastructure you built. Everything you ship is open source and immediately visible.
The core of your role is making Langfuse fast and affordable at scale: owning the ingestion pipeline, optimizing ClickHouse data models and queries so dashboards load instantly, and building the backend abstractions that let product engineers ship data-heavy features without reinventing the plumbing each time.
You will also make sure Langfuse runs everywhere. You’ll operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments, and make self-hosting effortless. You will support a single Docker Compose setup to enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.
You won’t be solving these problems alone. Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, which means the people who built the database you’re optimizing are one channel away. Few backend roles give you that kind of access to the internals of your core datastore.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline: Langfuse ingests massive volumes of tracing data through a pipeline that flows from our API to ClickHouse. You'll work on throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency at every stage of this pipeline.
- Make ClickHouse fast: our tracing data lives in ClickHouse. You'll design schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, write and review analytical queries that power dashboards and the UI. You'll become an expert on ClickHouse internals — and you'll have the ClickHouse database engineering team one channel away.
- Build new infrastructure-heavy features: things like LLM-as-a-Judge (where we post-process large volumes of ingested data asynchronously), alerting at scale, client-code execution, or batch dataset operations. Build the foundation and, if you like, dip your toes into the frontend for those.
- Test with real data in production: when evaluating a new ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimization, you'll run load tests against production data to validate that changes actually improve things. We don't guess at performance. We prototype new table designs, run them in parallel on real traffic, and compare before committing.
- Scale for what's next: we're growing fast and new product directions like complex long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation push the infrastructure in new ways. You'll be thinking ahead about what breaks at 10x scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
- You get excited when working with a ton of data
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing. ClickHouse experience is a big plus but not required
- You organize yourself. You have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (our backend) and SQL
- Interest in open source software and genuine enjoyment talking to users about their scaling challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, other OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure
- Former founder
- Background in building data-intensive systems at scale

- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.

We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
Mistral AI is building a new Compute Support team to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our GPU clusters in a Kubernetes environment. As one of the founding members of this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping its processes, standards, and culture.
In this hybrid L1/L2 support role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and internal teams, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for compute-related inquiries. You’ll also serve as the escalation point for complex issues, leveraging your deep systems knowledge, Kubernetes expertise, and operational debugging skills to ensure our AI workloads run smoothly at scale.
This is a support-focused role that blends system administration, customer-facing communication, and compute infrastructure expertise. While coding is not the primary focus, familiarity with Go for debugging and automation is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FIRST CUSTOMER’S POINT OF CONTACT
- Act as the first interlocutor for customers and internal teams, providing timely and effective responses to compute-related inquiries.
- Triage and prioritize incoming requests, ensuring SLAs are met for acknowledgment, first response, and resolution.
- Gather and analyze initial issue details (e.g., logs, error messages, system metrics) to diagnose problems efficiently.
- Provide clear, actionable guidance to customers and internal users, including temporary workarounds where applicable.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Serve as the L2 escalation point for Linux, Kubernetes, and compute infrastructure issues, providing deep technical troubleshooting for:
- GPU/TPU workloads (e.g., CUDA errors, memory leaks, job failures).
- Kubernetes clusters (e.g., pod crashes, node failures, networking misconfigurations).
- Bare metal and cloud environments (e.g., AWS EC2, GCP VMs, HPC clusters).
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, hardware failures, and resource contention in distributed systems.
- Analyze system metrics, logs, and traces (e.g., dmesg, journalctl, nvidia-smi, Prometheus, Grafana) to identify root causes of issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical compute systems
- Nice to have: Optimize system configurations (e.g., kernel parameters, filesystem tuning, network settings) for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads.
KUBERNETES & CONTAINERIZATION
- Debug Kubernetes clusters with a focus on:
- Pod and node issues (e.g., CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, ImagePullBackOff).
- Networking and storage (e.g., CNI plugins, PersistentVolumes, StorageClasses).
- Resource management (e.g., Requests/Limits, QOS classes, node affinity).
- Troubleshoot container runtime issues (Docker, containerd) such as image pull failures, OCI compliance, or runtime errors.
- Collaborate with SRE teams to understand and improve existing IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and Go-based tooling.
DOCUMENTATION & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and internal documentation for common compute issues (e.g., GPU debugging, Kubernetes troubleshooting).
- Contribute to post-mortems with actionable follow-ups to prevent recurring incidents.
- Train internal teams on best practices for compute infrastructure and debugging.

=============
==========
VLM-as-a-judge**
* понимание принципов работы Transformers, diffusion- и мультимодальных моделей и основных задач: T2I, Image Editing, T2V, Audio, Video-Audio.;
* понимание типовых ограничений, ошибок и артефактов моделей; способность разбираться в причинах ошибок и способах их проверки.
* декомпозировать качество на измеримые критерии и проектировать тестовые сценарии, промпты и выборки.
* выбирать корректный подход к оценке: human evaluation, автоматические метрики, LLM/VLM-as-a-judge, а также подходящие модели для сравнения;
* проверять валидность метрик и уметь проектировать оценку для новых задач и модальностей, где ещё нет готовой методологии.
**Навыки работы с LLM и VLM:**
* prompt engineering, structured output, tool calling и работа с контекстом и ограничениями моделей;
* построение и валидация LLM/VLM-as-a-judge, включая проверку автоматической оценки относительно человеческой;
* понимание нестабильности, bias и галлюцинаций моделей; умение подбирать модель под конкретную исследовательскую задачу.
* понимать, чем агент отличается от обычного вызова LLM;
* знать основные компоненты агентной системы: роли, инструменты, контекст, память и оркестрация;
* понимать, когда агентный подход действительно полезен, а когда создаёт лишнюю сложность;
* уметь оценивать надёжность и ограничения агентных решений.
* находить и критически разбирать актуальные статьи, бенчмарки, модели и реализации;
* сравнивать решения с актуальными подходами и оценивать достоверность результатов;
* переводить ресерч в конкретные идеи для тестирования и развития внутренних подходов.
================
* декомпозировать задачи между агентами, задавая им чёткие роли и зоны ответственности;
* управлять контекстом и изоляцией субагентов, организовывать проверку результатов;
* собирать результаты нескольких агентов в единое решение и критически оценивать их выводы.
AI-assisted coding**:
* уверенно работать с Codex, Claude Code и другими coding-агентами
* проверять и дорабатывать сгенерированный код, использовать агентов для тестирования;
* понимать архитектуру создаваемого решения
* связывать тестирование с реальными пользовательскими сценариями и понимать, какие ошибки критичны для продукта;
* приоритизировать направления проверки и переводить результаты оценки в рекомендации для разработки;
* понимать влияние результатов на релиз и дальнейшее развитие модели.
* оценка Image, Video, Audio и мультимодальных моделей; разработка собственных бенчмарков и методологий;
* работа с асессорами, большими массивами пользовательских запросов и построение аналитических пайплайнов/отчётов;
* понимание GPU-инфраструктуры и инференса; практический опыт построения multi-agent систем.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Solutions Consultant Manager is the person who makes our GTM motion real on the ground. As an in-region leader directly managing a team of Solutions Consultants, you'll own your team's full commercial output—new logo, expansion, and renewals—and be accountable for both the results and the quality of execution that produces them.
This isn't a traditional pipeline-management role. The best SC Managers are coaches first: they know what a great first meeting looks like, can watch a live build and tell a rep exactly what to change, and build the operating rhythm and inspection cadence that makes consistent execution possible across the team. If you're a builder who loves developing people as much as winning deals—and you want to lead a regional team in a go-to-market model that's genuinely new—this is the role.
This role will be based in London, UK. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own the commercial performance of your team across new logo ARR, expansion ARR, and UBP outcomes—accountable for both the headline numbers and the quality of execution that drives them
- Coach SCs on the GTM builder motion: what great looks like in a first meeting (workflow diagnosis, current → future architecture), a second meeting (live build in Notion + value narrative), and through the full cycle to adoption hand-off
- Contribute to and participate in the regional operating cadence: weekly pipeline reviews, deal support sessions, call reviews against the motion quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership
- Hire, onboard, and certify new SCs to the GTM builder motion—driving readiness from ramp through consistent execution, and managing performance with clarity when expectations aren't met
- Partner with the regional BDR manager on pipeline strategy, outbound targeting, and qualification standards to ensure the team's book of business is healthy and growing
- Partner with Outcomes leadership on adoption hand-offs, at-risk account management, and renewal strategy—owning the overall commercial arc for the region while collaborating on the execution that follows close
- Represent your team or region in leadership forums with clear signal on what's working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Track record as a quota-carrying B2B seller with direct experience in workflow design, live demos, or technical sales—you can coach the builder motion because you've run it yourself
- Frontline sales management experience: built an operating cadence, ran performance management, and developed talent from onboarding through consistent overperformance
- Strong coaching orientation: you can watch a demo or deal review and identify specifically what to change—not just whether the outcome was good, but why, and what the rep should do differently next time
- Commercial instincts at the team level: able to read pipeline health, identify risk early, and drive urgency across a team without micromanaging individual deals
- You don't need to be an AI expert, but you're curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience selling or managing in a consumption or usage-based business where adoption signals matter as much as closed ARR
- Track record building high-performing regional teams from an early stage: hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, and performance management
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is £294,000 per year.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Kraken's Market Surveillance function is responsible for detecting, investigating and reporting market abuse across our regulated trading venues, spanning spot crypto markets, crypto futures, tokenised equities, OTC markets, and consumer trading. As our licensing footprint and product range grow, so does the scale and complexity of the surveillance programme behind them.
We're hiring a Principal Compliance Associate to take on the function's most complex casework, and help shape how we detect and cover market abuse as the business scales.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own complex investigations end to end, writing findings up to a standard a regulator can rely on, and present conclusions to a range of stakeholders.
- Lead or contribute to periodic threshold and model reviews, recalibrating surveillance rules and alert thresholds as trading behaviour, products and market structure evolve.
- Support the design, build-out and integration of surveillance platform capability, including onboarding new products, venues and data sources onto the surveillance system.
- Contribute to market abuse risk assessments, helping identify and score risk across products, jurisdictions and entities, and translate findings into surveillance coverage.
- Use AI and automation tools responsibly to speed up evidence-gathering, case reconstruction and detection-model development, always with human judgement over the final call.
- Support conflicts of interest, information barrier, and personal account dealing matters across Markets Compliance, extending beyond surveillance casework where buy-side or asset management experience is directly relevant.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience investigating market abuse or trading conduct inside a firm subject to market conduct regulation, such as an exchange, broker-dealer, trading venue, or comparable regulated trading business.
- A track record running investigations end to end, including writing findings up to a standard a regulator can rely on and presenting conclusions to stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of core market abuse typologies e.g. spoofing, wash trading, insider trading, front running, ramping.
- Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, threshold and model calibration, surveillance platform integration, market abuse risk assessments, and audit remediation.
- Comfort using generative AI and other automation tools to improve the speed and quality of investigative work, while maintaining the human oversight regulated casework requires.
- Familiarity with a surveillance platform (such as Scila, Nasdaq SMARTS, Eventus, or NICE Actimize) and comfort with SQL or a similar query tool for evidence-gathering.
- Clear, evidence-first written communication - your case files, escalations and regulatory drafts will sometimes be read by auditors and regulators without you in the room to explain them.
- Exposure to crypto-asset markets is welcomed but not required. What matters most is regulated-market investigation experience; strong candidates from traditional securities or derivatives markets are encouraged to apply.
NICE TO HAVES
- E-comms surveillance experience.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
