ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a group of highly experienced engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll spend roughly half your time on technical contribution and half on people management, depending on the need. You’ll work closely with the team to set direction, remove blockers, and foster a strong engineering culture as they tackle complex systems challenges in distributed computing, large-scale data handling, and performance optimization.
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have at least 10 years of industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
- You’ve built high-performance distributed systems at a large scale
- You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure
- You have strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
- You’re proficient in systems-level languages such as Rust, C, C++, or Java
- You’re an experienced engineering leader who thrives close to the work and enjoys building alongside your team when needed
- You earn trust through technical depth, communicate with clarity, and help great engineers move fast and make sound decisions
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are pragmatic, calm under pressure, and focused on impact

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Render is looking for a Developer Community Lead to grow our community and engagement with developers across the platforms where they spend their time: X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Discord. You will be the public face of Render in these communities, building relationships with developers, creating content that sparks conversation, and turning Render's technical wins into stories the developer community wants to share.
YOU WILL:
- Own Render's day-to-day presence on X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Discord: engage with developers, answer questions, and contribute to relevant conversations
- Ship a regular cadence of short-form technical content: threads, posts, code snippets, demos, and timely takes on what's happening in the ecosystem
- Surface and jump into the conversations where Render has a credible voice, fast
- Build relationships with developer creators, community moderators, and early adopters in Render's ecosystem
- Partner w/ DevRel to run AMAs, livestreams, and community programs on Discord and Reddit; support hackathons and community activations
- Produce longer-form technical content (blog posts, videos, sample apps) designed to fuel social distribution
- Occasionally represent Render at conferences, meetups, and on podcasts when the audience fit is right
- Track impact through community growth, engagement, sentiment, and downstream signups; double down on what works
WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5-8+ years in developer marketing, community management, content creation, or a hands-on engineering role with a strong public side
- An active, established presence on at least one major developer platform (X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitch, or similar) with a portfolio of content you can point to
- Strong technical foundation: comfortable with modern infrastructure, web frameworks, and shipping working code
- Native fluency in developer communities online: you know what plays on X versus Reddit versus Discord, and you can hold a strong point of view without being preachy
- Sharp written voice
- Bias toward shipping fast and iterating
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Existing relationships with developer creators and community moderators
- Track record of growing a developer audience from scratch
- Comfort on camera or behind a mic
- Experience with developer cloud, hosting, or infrastructure products
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
- Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.
- Continuous learning benefits & related support.

You will partner closely with senior leadership to drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning business growth, operational scaling, and AI-enabled ways of working.
Beyond program execution, we are looking for strong analytical and AI-native thinkers who can structure complex business problems, leverage data and AI-assisted workflows to drive insights, and help scale organizational effectiveness through automation and intelligent operational systems. We are open to high-caliber talent from technology, consulting, fintech, platform, or other fast-paced environments who thrive in ambiguity, operate with strong ownership, and combine strategic thinking with execution excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Execution & Organizational Scaling
Support strategic initiatives related to VIP and Institutional business growth, operational efficiency, client experience, and scalable platform capabilities.
Partner with senior leadership to translate high-level strategies into scalable execution roadmaps and operating mechanisms.
Leverage data analytics and AI-assisted workflows to identify business opportunities, operational inefficiencies, performance drivers, and execution risks across VIP and Institutional initiatives.
Establish and continuously refine governance frameworks, execution cadences, and organizational workflows to improve delivery efficiency, visibility, and accountability across teams.
Identify cross-functional bottlenecks and systemic inefficiencies, and drive structural, scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes.
AI Transformation & AI-Native Operations
Support and accelerate company-wide AI transformation initiatives across various business workflows.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled delivery models and operational workflows, including process automation, AI copilots, and intelligent execution systems.
Utilize AI-assisted tools and workflows to accelerate data exploration, hypothesis generation, insight synthesis, and executive reporting.
Executive Communication & Program Leadership
Provide clear executive-level updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, enabling fast and informed decision-making.
Operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments while maintaining strong execution discipline and delivery momentum.
What We Look For In You
Minimally 5 years of experience in strategy PMO, program management, strategic operations, consulting, or high-impact project delivery roles.
Strong analytical thinking with a proven ability to structure business problems, define the right questions, and drive actionable insights using both data and AI-assisted workflows.
Comfortable operating in an AI-native workflow where judgment, prioritization, and problem-framing matter more than manual execution; strong underlying data literacy — including metric definitions, attribution logic, and statistical interpretation — is expected regardless of tools used.
Strong executional experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments such as top-tier internet companies, global technology companies, FinTech, trading, or consulting organizations.
Strong systems thinking — able to identify root causes, simplify complexity, and design scalable operating solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
Strong interest in AI-native ways of working and emerging AI-enabled operational models.
Nice to Haves
Strong experience in crypto, FinTech, consulting is preferred but not required.
Experience driving AI adoption across various business workflows.

Bilingual (English and Mandarin Chinese) proficiency is preferred to better support internal stakeholders across global teams.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.
About The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for designing the industry's leading Crypto trading system, including Spot, Margin, Perpetuals, Futures, Options, and various risk control models such as simple account, single-currency margin, multi-currency margin, and portfolio margin.
This system supports daily trading volumes of over ten billion USD for both retail and institutional clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
The plumbing of the exchange.
Order management, matching, margin, risk engine, lending/borrowing — across both spot and derivatives. When you ship, millions of trades route through your work the same day.
Infrastructure that holds up where others can't operate.
You'll work directly with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams — not to check boxes, but to design systems that clear the highest regulatory bar in finance. That bar is our moat.
Outlearning the competition.
Talk to traders, take apart competing systems, and decide where we lead vs. fast-follow — across crypto and TradFi.
The instruments that show us the market first.
Build the data and monitoring layer that gives us situational awareness of our own stack and the broader industry. If something's drifting, breaking, or shifting — you know before anyone else.
The 3–12 month direction.
Decide what we build next, and when, based on product lifecycle, competitive landscape, and what our capacity actually is — not what makes the deck look good.
Shipping through.
From spec to launch, you're the person who gets it out the door — pulling engineering, design, ops, and marketing into alignment without becoming the bottleneck.
The AI harness and agent architecture for your domain.
Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — tool use, retrieval, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — that power how Core Trading operates. Spec agents the way you spec products.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in mathematics, physics or computer science major.
5+ years experience in building sophisticated backend systems in either crypto or Traditional Finance industry.
AI native skillset that allow you to ship at 10x because you automate the work flow first.
Possess rigorous logical thinking, excellent teamwork, communication skills and be able to coordinate resources to solve problems and achieve goals between different departments.
You possess a strong interest in trading, blockchain and the financial industry.
You are proactive, enthusiastic and sensitive to customers' feedback from a product lens.
Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients / cross-teams).
Nice-To-Haves
Trading experience in sophisticated institutions.
Excel in quantitative research with various mathematics tools.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development
