How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

With 7M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.
The job
We are seeking a HIPAA Security Engineer to join our team in
London, UK

As a key member of Flo’s Security Architecture team, you will lead the design and operation of our US Healthcare security controls. You'll work directly with Product and Engineering teams to translate HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements into technical security controls across Flo's AWS multi-account environment - including EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC networking, IAM, and KMS.
You'll own the roadmap for HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 Type II certification, working closely with external auditors and professional services partners, and partnering with Engineering and Legal to build a secure, compliant platform for millions of users.
Your Experience
Must have:
7+ years in security, compliance, or risk management (3+ in a leadership capacity), with a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Deep expertise in SOC 2 and HIPAA frameworks within the AWS environment.
Familiarity with PHI handling, GRC and compliance automation platforms, and exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent audit and certification workstreams.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into clear actions for engineering and business teams.
Nice to have:
CISA, CISM, or CISSP certifications
Experience with NIST 800-53, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and Center for Internet Security (CIS) frameworks
Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry; HITRUST experience a plus
Experience building compliance roadmaps in early-stage startups
Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), serverless, and big data platforms
Exposure to DevSecOps and sprint-based Agile development
Vendor management experience
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for:
Compliance Leadership:
Lead annual SOC 2 and HIPAA certifications, managing interfaces with external auditors and professional services.
Technical Control Design:
Partner with Engineering to harden AWS workloads (EKS, EC2, data pipelines, and more) to meet HIPAA and SOC 2 controls; perform technical security design reviews and architectural risk assessments for services handling PHI.
Policy & Risk:
Define and maintain security policies and standards; embed risk assessment activities within engineering processes, and evolve Flo's security risk management framework.
Vendor Risk Management:
Support vendor risk activities including contract reviews and security posture assessments.
Operational Excellence:
Partner with control owners to automate evidence gathering and ensure controls reduce friction rather than creating it.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary Security POC for US regulators and partners; support the wider Security team with ISO 27001/27701 alignment; report risk status to security leadership.
Tooling:
Manage and integrate GRC and compliance automation platforms to streamline monitoring and reporting.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core team and perform a healthy mix of design and implementation tasks to advance the technical foundation behind the Fivetran product offering.
This team is tasked with evolving a high performance extract-load-trans form data integration system that enables our engineering teams to correctly implement hundreds of data connectors with minimal maintenance effort. The role will challenge you to reason about relational semantics, powerful abstractions, data representation, and software performance. You don’t need to be a subject matter expert before you join us (you will be one before you leave!), but you will need to have experience working carefully with a high impact software team — especially in environments where the best option may not be obvious, your decisions have cascading implications, and where you sometimes need to measure twice before you cut once. A successful candidate will be humble enough to collect diverse input and build consensus, will be experienced and confident enough to be decisive when it’s needed, and will be practical enough to build and iterate on the system while it’s in production. We are also looking for expertise and productivity with both modern and legacy software development environments.
This is a full-time position based out of our Novi Sad office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.
Technologies You’ll Use
C (our main language), Python (used in testing), relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server), make
GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Jenkins, GCP , Azure, AWS
macOS/Linux/Unix/Windows, git
What You’ll Do
Learn deeply about Fivetran in order to focus development on practical and relevant system improvements
Contribute to the development and planning of our roadmap
Collaborate with a small but mighty core team, and with a broader set of stakeholders
Work across the project lifecycle: requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, monitoring
Review and approve pull requests
Care and feel ownership of our product, and leverage your skills towards improving it
Skills We’re Looking For
You are execution-oriented, and understand the need to target your “innovation budget” for the greatest impact: you find the middle ground between “perfect, but takes forever to code” and “fixes it now, but nobody will ever be able to understand what I did”
You know how to design and code systems and software that is effective, intuitive, easy-to-operate, and elegantly simple
You have worked with the relevant tooling and techniques: cloud services, network protocols, serialization, relational databases, etc.
You have knowledge of complex structures, object orientation, exceptions, memory management techniques.
Bonus Skills
Experience with data replication, ETL/ELT tools, cloud and software defined infrastructure tools (for instance AWS Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, Docker), API technologies and analytics is definitely a plus
Knowledge of DBMS internals is a strong plus
Familiarity with low level concepts, such as encoding and the internals of network communication, is a strong plus
Familiarity with system level programming (such as process and memory management and inter-process communication) is a plus

The Mission of the Senior Software Engineer (Telemetry)
Satellite telemetry does not forgive gaps. Build the systems that make sure there are none.
ICEYE's SAR constellation generates a continuous stream of data that fleet operations depend on to function. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Fleet Automation team, you will be a key contributor to the infrastructure that makes that data usable: the pipelines, parsers, and time-series stores that translate raw satellite signals into operational state in near real-time. The scope is expanding, the ownership is real, and the engineering problems are ones you will not find anywhere else.
Who We Are
ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world's largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy, day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.
As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE's near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.
ICEYE operates internationally with offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.
Expected Outcomes and Requirements
Outcomes:
- Telemetry pipelines ingest, transform, and store satellite data from across the fleet reliably and in near real-time, with minimal manual intervention
- Telemetry data stores are performant and well-maintained, including schema design, query optimisation, capacity planning, and zero-downtime production migrations
- Anomaly detection and automated recovery systems reduce operational load on the mission operations team
- TTC gateway telemetry integration is delivered as a production-grade component ready for customer deployment
- Engineering quality across the team is actively raised through code reviews, testing standards, and support of less experienced engineers
Role-specific Competences
- Strong Python proficiency in production backend systems; experience with Go or Rust is a plus
- Proven experience building and operating telemetry systems, data pipelines, and distributed systems in production
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and at least one time-series database such as InfluxDB or Prometheus
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-native environments, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Helm
- Actively uses AI and LLM tooling as part of their engineering workflow
- AWS or equivalent cloud platform experience is a plus
Key Competences
In addition to the requirements above, we evaluate candidates on these key qualities throughout the hiring process:
Intellectual Firepower: Rapidly comprehends, structures and synthesizes complex information, draws accurate conclusions, and communicates them with clarity.
Passion and Work Ethic: Brings sustained motivation, resilience, and high personal standards to every challenge.
Ownership and Action: Assumes full accountability for outcomes, acting decisively, and ensuring commitments are delivered.
Team Player: Works collaboratively across teams, contributing to shared success, and engaging in constructive debate.
