About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Mid-Market Account Executive on Anthropic's Industries team, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI by securing strategic deals with mid-market companies in key verticals, unlocking new value streams throughout their business. You'll leverage your consultative sales expertise and technical acumen to propel revenue growth while becoming a trusted partner to customers, helping them embed and deploy AI while uncovering its full range of capabilities. In collaboration with GTM, Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams, you'll continuously refine our value proposition, sales methodology, and market positioning to ensure differentiated value across the landscape.
You will be contributing to the GTM strategy for our Industries team, focusing on sector-specific solutions and strategies within key verticals. In addition, the Mid-Market team is pioneering a new scaled sales playbook, where human AEs direct AI Agents to automate key elements of the buyer’s journey, while maintaining human engagement with prospects in the elements of a sales process that can’t be automated.
You should be passionate about building a fundamentally new sales motion, by experimenting with new programs and workflows, and ultimately evangelizing the potential of Transformative AI to mid-market companies across verticals.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the Mid-Market GTM strategy, identifying new use cases within your assigned verticals, winning new business, and sharing feedback with cross-functional teams
Drive strategic expansion within key accounts in established verticals and new logo acquisition within emerging verticals
Own a revenue target and all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to close, including finding key workflows to automate and agentify
Become a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their unique needs and crafting tailored AI solutions. Co-innovate with customers and sell on the product roadmap while appropriately setting expectations
Collaborate extensively with cross-functional partners including Product, Customer Success, Legal, Marketing, and Applied AI to help bring new solutions to market and provide feedback to shape roadmaps
Develop sales collateral, proposals, and presentations to effectively position Anthropic's AI products. Continuously refine sales tactics and share best practices
You may be a good fit if you have:
3+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience in technology, preferably in SaaS, API solutions, or emerging technologies
Experience automating workflows or building automations to handle the repeatable components of a sales process
Proven experience exceeding revenue targets in fast-paced organizations by effectively managing an evolving pipeline and sales process
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present confidently and build connections across all customer levels, from ICs to C-level executives
A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves'' mentality. You are a true team player
A strategic, analytical approach to assessing markets combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities
A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems. You feel strongly about ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely

We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for Forward Deployed Engineers on our engineering team who want to work at the intersection of deep infrastructure work and direct customer impact. As an FDE, you’ll partner with leading AI companies and foundation labs on cloud architecture, networking, storage, containerization, sandboxing, and more, helping them design and ship production infrastructure on Modal’s platform.
The FDE team today includes world-class software engineers, computational scientists, ML engineers, and former founders. We’re looking for people with strong engineering fundamentals, deep curiosity across the infrastructure stack, and energy for working directly with customers on hard problems.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Work hands-on with companies like Suno, Lovable, Cognition, and Meta to architect and deploy massive-scale production workloads on Modal
- Lead technical discovery and architecture sessions with prospective and existing customers
- Architect migration paths from existing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) to Modal’s serverless platform
- Collaborate with Modal’s product and sales teams, contributing to the platform as both an engineer and a product stakeholder
- Build trusted relationships with technical leaders (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, ML leads) at companies doing frontier AI work
- Conduct technical demos, experiments, and proofs of concept that make Modal’s infrastructure advantages tangible
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including compute, storage, networking, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- You’re familiar with distributed systems architecture, data pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
- You’re a strong communicator who can go deep on systems architecture with an infrastructure team and clearly articulate tradeoffs to technical leadership
- You have a genuine interest in working directly with customers: you find it energizing to understand someone else’s problem and help them solve it
- You’re willing to work in person in New York City, San Francisco, or Stockholm
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience leading large-scale migration efforts, open-source contributions, or side projects you’re proud of

You’ll partner directly with our founders, engineering, and product teams to help customers harness Modal’s infrastructure to train, deploy, and scale AI applications.

- Bring structured customer feedback to influence Modal’s product roadmap and GTM strategy
- Contribute to the foundation of Modal’s sales process, culture, and playbooks as we scale the team

- Track record of consistently exceeding $1M+ annual quotas and closing six- and seven-figure enterprise deals
- Strong technical acumen—able to communicate infrastructure and AI concepts with both engineers and executives
- Experience leading proof-of-concepts and managing complex procurement processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving environment; excited to help shape systems and processes from the ground up
- Ability to work in-person from our office 5 days a week

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
