About the Opportunity
We are building a scalable financial operations platform to support the accurate movement, recording, reconciliation and reporting of fiat and digital assets. The Head of Financial Operations Platform will define and deliver the architecture that connects our trading, payment, banking, custody, blockchain, wallet and finance systems.
This is a senior, hands-on platform leadership role. The successful candidate will establish trusted books and records, automate settlement and reconciliation, create effective exception workflows and give Operations and Finance the tools required to maintain accurate client and corporate asset records on a daily and, where feasible, near-real-time basis.
The role owns platform capability and delivery. Client Asset Operations and Finance retain responsibility for executing, reviewing and signing off the underlying operational and accounting controls.
What You Will Own
Product strategy and multi-year roadmap for the financial operations platform.
The canonical transaction and financial-event model across fiat and digital assets.
Client and corporate asset subledgers, balances, positions, journals and transaction histories.
Settlement and asset-movement workflows across banks, payment providers, custodians, wallets, blockchains and trading venues.
Multi-way transaction- and balance-level reconciliation across operational sources, internal records and the finance system.
Exception management, operational dashboards, control evidence, audit trails and management reporting.
Build-versus-buy assessments, strategic vendors, migration, backfilling, parallel runs and legacy-process retirement.
First Year Outcomes
Document the end-to-end transaction, asset and accounting architecture.
Establish an approved platform roadmap and target operating model.
Define the canonical financial-event, subledger and reconciliation data model.
Deliver systematic reconciliation for the highest-risk fiat and digital asset flows.
Introduce centralized exception ownership, ageing, escalation and evidence.
Reduce spreadsheet dependency and engineering-dependent investigations.
Improve alignment between operational records, customer liabilities, external asset records and the finance system.
Deliver a credible path from daily controls to near-real-time monitoring for material flows.
What You’ll Be Doing
Product Strategy and Architecture
- Establish the target vision, operating principles and roadmap for ledger, settlement, reconciliation and client asset controls.
- Map end-to-end funds and asset flows across deposits, withdrawals, trades, fees, transfers, financing, staking and other relevant products.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering to define scalable services, APIs, event schemas, data contracts, system boundaries and resilience requirements.
- Make evidence-based build-versus-buy decisions and prevent fragmented point solutions from becoming the operating model.
Ledger and Books and Records
- Define requirements for double-entry ledgering, journals, balances, positions and transaction traceability.
- Establish clear lineage from the originating operational event through the subledger and financial reporting environment.
- Ensure the platform handles reversals, corrections, fees, foreign exchange, internal transfers, failed transactions, duplicated events and delayed events.
- Work with Finance to maintain controlled alignment between operational books and records and the ERP or general ledger.
Settlement and Reconciliation
- Design workflows for fiat and digital asset settlement, including cut-offs, confirmations, status management, retries and failure handling.
- Build automated multi-way reconciliation across trading engines, payment systems, banks, custodians, wallets, blockchain records, subledgers and ERP systems.
- Define configurable matching rules, tolerances, materiality levels, frequencies and escalation thresholds.
- Create near-real-time detection for missing, duplicated, delayed or incorrectly recorded transactions where feasible and proportionate.
Operational Tooling and Controls
- Build operator interfaces that support investigation and resolution without routine dependence on engineering queries or spreadsheets.
- Incorporate maker-checker approvals, role-based access, segregation of duties, evidence retention and complete audit histories.
- Define monitoring and alerting for data completeness, balance integrity, settlement failures, reconciliation breaks and control execution.
- Support audit, regulatory examination and financial-reporting requirements with reproducible system evidence.
Delivery and Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, testing, rollout and post-launch improvement.
- Write clear product requirements, workflow diagrams, data definitions, control requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate operational readiness across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Custody, Risk and Compliance.
- Lead data migration, backfilling and parallel-run validation before replacing existing controls or processes.
- Communicate roadmap priorities, risks, dependencies and measurable outcomes to senior management.
What We Look For In You
Eight or more years in fintech, financial services, digital assets, brokerage, custody, payments or capital-markets technology.
Five or more years of product-management, platform leadership, technical program leadership or comparable engineering experience.
Demonstrated delivery of a ledger, reconciliation platform, settlement system, payments infrastructure, brokerage books-and-records platform or digital asset back office.
Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, balances, positions, journal entries, reconciliation and financial controls.
Technical fluency with APIs, event-driven systems, data schemas, batch and streaming pipelines, integrations, idempotency and failure handling.
Ability to work directly with transaction-level data; practical SQL proficiency is strongly preferred.
Track record of delivering mission-critical systems in regulated or control-intensive environments.
Strong written communication, structured problem-solving and senior stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to Haves
Experience with both fiat and digital asset transaction flows.
Knowledge of blockchain transactions, wallets, custodians and on-chain settlement.
Experience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
Familiarity with client asset segregation, safeguarding, books and records or comparable regulatory requirements.
Experience with high-volume, continuously operating financial platforms.
Knowledge of double-entry accounting and financial-close processes.
Experience replacing manual reconciliation with automated platform capabilities.
Experience assessing or implementing platforms such as Crypto or comparable ledger, reconciliation and digital asset accounting solutions.

ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Sentry, Support is an engineering discipline. Our customers are the greatest technical minds in the world—developers at elite enterprises building the future of software—and they deserve answers that go deeper than a knowledge base link.
We are architecting the Technical Support engine. We’re looking for a veteran engineer to help us redefine the standard of technical support by combining deep human expertise with autonomous agentic systems. You are a debugger of both code and systems. You will treat support volume as a data signal to build automated resolution paths, ensuring our human engineers only touch the most complex, high-impact architectural puzzles.
Sentry Support Engineers aren't just clearing queues; they are Orchestrators. You will engage with our users across GitHub, Discord, and our internal systems, while acting as the Technical Lead for our Agentic Ops. You ensure that when a developer asks a complex question, our systems have the right context and a seamless "Human-in-the-Loop" path to you when deep, nuanced expertise is required.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Master the Sentry Ecosystem & Support Elite Developers
- Deep-Dive Debugging: Perform root-cause analysis on complex issues and distributed tracing gaps across polyglot environments.
- Support the Great Minds: Act as a strategic consultant for senior engineers at our largest enterprise customers, solving high-stakes architectural challenges that push the boundaries of observability.
- Troubleshoot SDK Implementations: Go deep into the source code of Sentry’s SDKs to help developers instrument complex frameworks and custom environments.
- Engineering Feedback Loop: Serve as the bridge between the world's best developers and our product teams, using data from your systems to prioritize high-impact platform fixes.
Engineer Agentic Operations (The Scaling Engine)
- Deterministic Support Paths: Engineer the logic that powers our support agents, moving beyond probabilistic guesses to high-fidelity, autonomous resolutions.
- Knowledge Engineering: Build the right context into our systems so they can resolve issues consistently and indefinitely.
- Agentic Tooling Development: Use MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Sentry’s internal APIs to build "skills" for our agents, allowing them to perform complex lookups or state-checks autonomously.
- The Seer Philosophy: We’ve already proven AI can handle autonomous production fixes with Seer. You will apply that same philosophy to the support lifecycle—moving us from a "Help Desk" to an "Autonomous Resolution Engine."
YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF
- You love eliminating Non-scalable effort: you enjoy automating repetitive work and take pride in building systems that save time and effort.
- You’re a Full-Stack Troubleshooter: You enjoy jumping from a React frontend issue to a Python backend trace to a CI/CD pipeline failure in a single afternoon
- You Value Evidence-Based Support: You prefer looking at data trends over anecdotal evidence to decide where to build automation next.
- You’re a Developer Advocate: You want to guide the industry on how elite engineers and AI co-exist in a high-density technical ecosystem.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–8+ years of experience in technical support engineering, systems engineering, or software development, with a track record of solving high-complexity SaaS problems.
- Strong Coding Foundations: Mastery of Python, JavaScript, Java, or Ruby. You are comfortable reading SDK source code and identifying bugs in production-level repositories.
- Systems Depth: Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and the "path of a pixel" from frontend to database.
- AI & Automation Literacy: Practical familiarity with LLM orchestration (RAG, context windows, system prompts) and a critical eye for where AI succeeds versus where it requires human intervention.
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to explain complex architectural concepts to a human and write precise "system instructions" for an AI.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Open Source Contributor: An active presence on GitHub or experience maintaining open-source libraries.
- Former Software Developer: You’ve spent time in the trenches as a full-time dev and know exactly what keeps our customers up at night.

- Own weekly and monthly AI cost reporting end to end, delivering clear visibility into spend, usage, key trends, and anomalies for executives and functional leaders.
- Deliver thoughtful analyses to support strategic decisions with strong judgment, speed, and attention to detail.
- Support the monthly close and reporting process with Accounting, vendor and PO tracking, budget-versus-actuals cost analyses, and flux reviews
- Partner with the AI team, Product, Data Science, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Strengthen AI cost data and reporting infrastructure by identifying data gaps, improving recurring workflows, and using AI and automation to make reporting more durable, scalable, and timely.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, and/or Corporate Finance
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, financial close, and reporting (budget vs. actuals, etc.)
- Data fluency and the ability to navigate complex datasets, including identifying anomalies or data gaps.
- Intellectual curiosity, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to move from detailed data to a clear point of view on performance, risks, and opportunities
- Comfortable partnering directly with senior leadership and building strong cross-functional relationships
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail — “get it done” attitude
- You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with a high-growth tech company, including native AI, SaaS, or consumption-based businesses
- Experience with NetSuite, Workday, Zip, and planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan)
- Working knowledge of SQL

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
We're hiring a Senior Developer Advocate to be the face and voice of 1Password's developer story — especially our push into identity and access control for AI agents. You'll build hands-on demos and videos that show developers exactly how to use 1Password, carry that content into a genuine presence on Reddit and X, grow the community around it, and represent 1Password on stage at major developer conferences.
You'll report to the Director of Developer Relations as an individual contributor.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
What You'll Do
- Build demos and videos. Hands-on, code-first demos and short-form videos showing developers how to use 1Password — particularly for securing AI agents, service accounts, and machine identities.
- Build a social presence. Own and grow 1Password's developer voice on Reddit, Youtube and X — daily posting, engaging in threads, answering questions, participating authentically in developer communities.
- Represent us at conferences. Speak at and represent 1Password at major developer conferences (AWS re:Invent, KubeCon, and others), turning in-person moments into demos, clips, and content that keep working after the talk ends.
- Shape open source strategy. Prioritize and guide what 1Password open sources — SDKs, integrations, MCP servers/tools — and how that drives developer trust and adoption.
- Create supporting content. Blog posts, tutorials, and reference code that give developers something to copy, fork, and ship.
- Build community. Turn one-off engagement into an ongoing developer community — repeat contributors, recurring conversations, people who show up because they trust the voice, not just the content.
What We're Looking For
- Technical fluency: 5+ years in technical roles (software/platform engineering, developer advocacy, solutions engineering, or similar). Comfortable writing real code for demos, not just narrating slides.
- Existing X, Youtube or Reddit presence as a technical voice, with a track record and an audience.
- Agent-building experience: Hands-on experience building AI agents and working with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Content production skills: Can conceive, script, build, and edit demo videos and short-form content.
- Community-building experience: Has grown a developer community from scratch or materially expanded one — not just posted into an existing audience.
- Open source judgment: Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
- Public speaking: Experience speaking at major developer conferences (re:Invent, KubeCon, or similar).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.
Bonus points:
- Experience with security-conscious developer communities or products (identity, auth, DevSecOps).
- Contributions to or maintenance of MCP servers, agent frameworks, or related open source tooling.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $133,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Who we are
Our mission is to bring clarity and control to the world's most complex codebases. AI is accelerating code creation, but the infrastructure to understand, oversee, and evolve that code hasn't kept pace. Sourcegraph gives engineering organizations full visibility across their systems, precise context for their agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale. As agentic development becomes the dominant engineering paradigm, we provide the context layer teams need to take control of their codebase.
With Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes, we deliver on that mission today - giving engineering teams and their AI tools the cross-repo context to navigate massive codebases with confidence, and the ability to make changes across hundreds of repositories at once.
Companies like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos rely on Sourcegraph to ship faster and with higher quality. We're backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and proud to operate as a globally distributed team that values high agency, direct communication, and customer love.
If you want to build the infrastructure that lets every engineering team - and every agent they deploy - operate on their codebase with confidence, join us.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
We are looking for a Deputy Regional Information Security Officer to own ICT security, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of entities at different stages of maturity, from established licensed operations to new markets launching under frameworks. This is not a support function. You will be the named security officer for your entities, accountable to their boards and their regulators.
This is a high visibility, high trust role for a security governance professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, compliance, and financial services, and who is energised by applying established group frameworks to the local needs of a growing regulated entity.
Payward is one of the world's most trusted and secure digital asset platforms, operating across a growing network of regulated entities spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. As we expand into new markets and deepen our regulatory footprint, the demand for embedded, senior-level ICT security leadership at the entity level has never been higher.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Prepare, contribute and report to regional risk governance and board committee meetings, highlighting control status, risk exposure, and readiness
- Execute risk assessments and control testing across UAE operations in line with VARA cybersecurity guidelines and security best practices
- Maintain and review Business Impact Assessments (BIA), integrating findings into global resilience planning
- Contribute to Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documentation, testing, and updates, including entity-specific scenarios
- Collaborate with Group Security and IT to:
- Align UAE-specific regulatory controls with global policies and control frameworks
- Contribute to the development of security policies to meet international and UAE compliance requirements
- Conduct security control validation and document evidence for internal/external audits
- Participate in remediation planning for audit findings and track progress to closure
- Support the RISO in preparing and submitting regulatory documentation to regulators
- Prepare and present security and resilience reports for internal governance committees and local entity management
- Assist in responses to regulatory examinations, including due diligence and compliance queries
- Liaise with compliance and legal teams to interpret regulatory changes and propose control adaptations
- Participate in the regional incident response process, assist with post-incident reviews, and support continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed security requirements into operational processes
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Regulatory Governance
- Serve as the named ICT security officer for your appointed entities, with formal accountability for security risk, ICT governance, and resilience oversight at board level
- Prepare and present security, risk, and resilience materials to entity boards, with material review and coaching from the Global RISO Lead beforehand
- Act as the primary point of contact for VARA and other relevant regulatory authorities on ICT and security matters -- including examinations, inspections, licensing interactions, and ongoing supervisory dialogue
- Support entity go live processes by implementing and localizing established group ICT governance frameworks for new market launches, ensuring they meet UAE regulatory requirements and entity specific needs
- As the portfolio evolves, engage with additional regulatory frameworks with support from the broader RISO team
- ICT Risk and Security
- Lead ICT and security risk assessments for your appointed entity, escalating material risks through local governance and the Global RISO Lead
- Maintain and adapt entity level policies and procedures to align with group standards and UAE regulatory requirements
- Coordinate control testing, evidence documentation, and audit preparation with global security and compliance teams
- Manage the classification, escalation, and regulatory reporting of ICT-related incidents within the timeframes required by applicable regulators
- Operational Resilience
- Lead business impact assessments, critical function mapping, and business continuity planning at the entity level
- Oversee continuity and recovery testing, ensuring outputs meet regulatory expectations and feed back into global resilience planning
- Maintain oversight of ICT third-party dependencies and outsourcing arrangements in line with regulatory requirements
- Group Liaison
- Act as a key local liaison between UAE entities, the RISO team, Group Security, and Compliance
- Drive local implementation of group frameworks, policies, and resilience standards, adapting them where jurisdiction-specific requirements demand
- Represent entity priorities in group-led security initiatives and governance forums
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in information security governance, ICT risk management, or regulatory compliance in a regulated financial services, fintech, or virtual asset environment
- Direct experience as a named regulatory contact, involvement in regulatory examinations, supervisory interactions, licensing processes, or equivalent
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks. Experience with VARA or other virtual asset / crypto-native regulatory regimes is a significant advantage and strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to implement, adapt, and maintain compliance or governance frameworks within a regulated environment
- Experience conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and resilience planning at the entity level
- Familiarity with ICT outsourcing and third-party risk management within group structures
- Ability to translate technical risk into board-level narrative and regulatory-grade documentation
- Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, each at a different stage of regulatory maturity
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional, globally distributed teams
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or ISO27001 Lead Implementer preferred
- Familiarity with EU frameworks such as DORA and MiCA is strongly preferred
WHY THIS ROLE
- You will hold a named role within a regulated entity with accountability and board-level visibility
- You will operate at the frontier of virtual asset regulation -- VARA is one of the most advanced and fastest-evolving crypto regulatory frameworks in the world, and you will be shaping how Kraken meets it from day one of market entry
- You will build ICT governance programs from scratch for new market entries, not inherit and maintain what others have set up
- Exposure to local governance forums, regulators, and senior stakeholders, with remote guidance and preparation support from the Global RISO Lead
- The scope of this role is intentionally designed to grow -- as Kraken's entity footprint expands, so does the portfolio and the regulatory breadth you will be exposed to, potentially including Asian and EU frameworks such as DORA
- You will join a remote-first, international team shaping the future of crypto asset governance and resilience across some of the world's most demanding regulatory environments
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Sr. Developer Relations Manager
Backblaze — Remote, US
Compensation: $172,000–$215,000 base + equity
About Backblaze
Backblaze is the object storage layer for AI and data-intensive workloads, fueling customer success with cloud storage purpose-built for scalable performance and economics. We make customers unstoppable by solving their toughest storage challenges.
Today we manage nearly 6 billion gigabytes of data for 500K+ customers across 175+ countries with fast growth among Neoclouds, GenAI companies, and companies reliant on data–heavy workloads. Developers are at the center of our next chapter, and we're serious about earning their trust.
About the Role
Developer relations is evolving quickly. Coding agents, informed by reference architectures and machine-readable documentation, are increasingly making integration decisions on behalf of developers. And trust, transparency, and human interaction are more important than ever as open source ideals and corporate agendas are weirdly attacked, limited, or promoted by unexpected sources and trends.
Backblaze B2 Cloud storage was launched as a result of developer demand and has been committed to the developer ecosystem since day one. Today, we are seeking a leader who can help us become more present and trusted than ever before in this space, both as the storage default for agent-led projects and as a leading source of support, inspiration, and enablement for developers who need storage for whatever they’re building.
As Sr. Developer Relations Manager, you'll work across a strong set of existing assets — a mature docs team, an engineering team focused on AI ecosystem integrations, our Flamethrower Startup Program, a content org, and an outward-facing SE team — and coordinate their outputs into a coherent, credible developer presence that earns mindshare where it matters most.
This is a program-defining role for someone who thinks in systems, works backwards from adoption goals, knows how to make a company technically credible with developers who haven't heard of it yet, and is comfortable both channeling and being the face of developer relationships at Backblaze.
What You'll Own
Developer Presence in the Agentic Stack
The primary goal of this role is to ensure Backblaze B2 is the best storage layer for developers and for their agents. That means understanding how AI coders discover and evaluate infrastructure tools today: through MCP servers, coding agent contexts, reference architectures, SDKs, and machine-readable documentation. You'll work with the internal AI team to define what "agent-ready" means for Backblaze and drive execution against it across engineering, docs, and content.
Cross-Functional Coordination
This role starts as an individual contributor, but you'll have real influence over a strong set of resources: an engineering team building integrations into AI tooling (MLFlow, ComfyUI, Hugging Face, popular agent frameworks), a docs team that can be directed toward structured, agent-consumable formats, a content org that can amplify what you build, and an SE team that can extend your enablement work, among a number of others at the company. Your job is to coordinate these teams around a unified developer strategy, keep that strategy moving, and share its outputs with the broader world.
Community and Ecosystem
Developers trust other developers. You'll underscore Backblaze's credibility in the communities where AI builders live: GitHub, Discord, open source projects, developer events, and the growing ecosystem of AI infrastructure tooling. You'll elevate internal technical voices, use their expertise to build your own thought leadership in the space, and partner with ecosystem players, and show up in a way that is earned, not marketed. Critically, you should have a presence in this community before coming to the role.
Developer Feedback Loop
You'll maintain a tight feedback loop from the developer community back to product and engineering — surfacing adoption friction, unmet integration needs, and emerging patterns worth prioritizing. The Flamethrower Startup Program gives you direct access to early-stage builders who can serve as signal-rich canaries for what's working and what isn't.
Metrics and Program Accountability
You'll define what success looks like — developer signups, activation rates, B2 adoption in AI frameworks, community engagement, content reach — and own progress against it. We're building this program to drive real revenue, and you'll be expected to connect the dots between awareness and conversion. Success in this role opens the door to bringing on, or from elsewhere in the company, developer resources to grow the program.
What We're Looking For
Meaningful DevRel, developer marketing, or developer experience leadership at a cloud infrastructure, open source, or AI tooling company. You've built or significantly grown a developer program, not just contributed to one.
Understand how agentic workflows are reshaping how developers discover and integrate infrastructure tools — and you have opinions about what that means for DevRel strategy.
Technically credible. You can read a codebase, evaluate an SDK, write a working integration, and have a real conversation with an engineer about tradeoffs. You don't need to be a full-time SWE, but you need to have been one, or close to it.
Worked, or started, without a large team. You know how to amplify yourself through cross-functional relationships, external partners, and community rather than headcount.
Strong communicator — to developers externally and to leadership internally. You can write a crisp technical tutorial and a clear exec summary with equal ease.
Existing presence in developer communities. A following, conference talks, open source contributions, a technical blog — some signal that developers pay attention when you show up.
Strong plus:
Direct experience with model training, data processing or generative media
Familiarity with how coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) surface and recommend infrastructure tools
Experience working with or building on top of open source frameworks in the AI/ML ecosystem (MLflow, DVC, Ray Data, WebDataset, and MosaicML Streaming)
Prior experience running or contributing to a startup/developer program (accelerator, cohort model, or similar)
What You'll Have to Work With
You won't be starting from scratch. You'll work closely with:
A mature, capable
docs team
that can be directed toward agent-consumable documentation formats and structured reference content
A strong
engineering team
dedicated to integrating Backblaze into the AI tooling ecosystem — building connectors, working on external integrations, and driving internal product improvements for developer use cases
Flamethrower
, our startup program, which is already generating community energy and early-adopter signal among AI builders
An outward-facing
solutions engineering team
that can extend your enablement work with hands-on technical support
A
content org
that can help produce and amplify developer-facing assets
Active strategic work from
Rawkode Academy
laying the DevRel foundation: audit, persona validation, content models, and engagement strategy
Why This Matters Now
Developers are making storage decisions earlier in the stack than ever before — often before they've spoken to a salesperson, often through a coding agent recommending a reference architecture. Backblaze has the right product, the right price point, and a growing engineering investment behind this motion. What we need is the person who can translate that into developer conviction at scale.
The window to establish Backblaze as the default AI storage layer is open now. This role exists to make sure we don't miss it.
Backblaze Perks
Healthcare for family, including dental and vision
Competitive compensation and 401K
RSU grants for full-time employees
ESPP program
Flexible vacation policy
Maternity & paternity leave
MacBook Pro plus a generous workstation stipend
Childcare bonus
Fertility treatment and support
Learning & development program
Commuter benefits
Culture that supports a healthy work-life balance
Pay Transparency
To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials.
The expected salary range for this role is $172,000 - $215,000 plus 20% target annual bonus and RSUs.
At Backblaze, we value being fair and good to our customers, partners, and employees. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values. We are committed to fostering a workforce where all employees feel a sense of belonging regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, socio-economic status, ability, veteran status, and education.
