From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It's an exciting time to join us: we're creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Orchestration team, which owns the control plane layer of the dbt platform — the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You'll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You'll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Orchestration team's services — the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
ABOUT THE DATA TEAM:
We’re growing our Data team and are looking for our first few key hires to build self-serve data tools and drive business strategy in the right direction.
The mission of the Modal Data team is to make it easy to track company goals, make evidence-backed decisions, and prioritize the right work. We do this via:
- Self-serve AI analytics tools (Hex, Snowflake)
- Embedding with teams as a “data adviser”, providing strategic analysis and consulting
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Contribute to building the most modern analytics stack https://modal.com/blog/analytics-stack in Data today to support AI-driven self-serve analysis, key metrics tracking, and external customer reporting
- Influence work on new products like LLM Inference Endpoints https://modal.com/blog/qwen3-8-2-4t-a95b-now-available-on-modal through product analytics tracking
- Identify millions of dollars of cost savings and optimization across our tools and financial operations
- Write data pipelines that power the operations of our business, such as our cloud compute economics or sales comp
- Create foundational datasets that can be used by people and AI tools to answer questions around product use cases, financial reporting, and marketing campaigns
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- SQL fluency, Python proficiency
- Professional experience with at least 2 of the following tools: Snowflake, dbt, dlt, Modal, Hex, Posthog
- Ability to extend their work beyond just data reporting and into action and impact
- High attention to detail
- Excellent and precise communicator
- Strong personability and relationship building skills
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with AI products, especially LLM inference and sandboxes
- Experience in fin ops, fraud, sales ops, or risk, especially in the context of AI (e.g. token cost optimization)
- Project management skills
- Strong presence in the data community online and offline

Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The next chapter of Ramp's growth runs straight through the customers we already have: 80,000+ finance teams who adopted us for one thing and haven't yet seen what the rest of the platform can do for them. Account Management owns that opportunity - and this role owns the team building the motion to capture it.
You'll lead a group of 5-8 Account Managers, each carrying a book of ~300 Mid-Market customers with real latitude over how they grow it. This is a build role, not a maintain role: the playbooks, coaching systems, and performance bar you set are the ones this team runs on next year. Your ceiling is set by how well you turn individual AM judgment into a repeatable, scalable motion that grows the segment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and run a high-performing team of 5-8 Account Managers - setting the bar for culture, morale, and daily execution.
- Get embedded in the relationships that matter. Engage directly with key customers and top accounts alongside your team, especially where trust is being built or repaired.
- Own the number. Manage quota performance and pipeline generation across your team to hit spend activation, product activation, retention, and expansion goals.
- Forecast and report team performance to senior leadership with clear-eyed visibility into what's working and what isn't.
- Hire and develop the next generation of AMs - training on product, buyer personas, competition, and tooling through role-plays, game film, and real deal work.
- Coach relentlessly. Run daily 1:1s, dissect call feedback, lead enablement sessions, and build career paths for every rep on your team.
- Turn what works into a system. Continuously refine team processes and tooling to improve output and efficiency as the segment scales.
- Represent Account Management cross-functionally, partnering with Sales, CX, CSM, Risk, and Product to remove blockers and drive outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Minimum 3 years of quota-carrying sales or account management experience as an individual contributor, with a proven, consistent track record of exceeding goals (new business or cross-sell/upsell experience mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years building and leading account management or sales teams, with a track record of exceeding goal (new business or cross-sell/upsell experience mandatory)
- Prior success in fast-paced, results-oriented GTM environments, ideally at SaaS or AI companies
- A genuine passion for hiring, with a thoughtful approach to team planning and development
- Ability to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value to customers, including executive leaders
- Strong track record negotiating, structuring, and executing complex agreements
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (Salesforce, Looker, Excel) and a bias toward using data to drive decisions
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, backed by excellent communication and presentation ability
- High agency and adaptability - no two days are the same, and the only constant is change
- A desire and willingness to jump headfirst into complex, challenging problems for the good of the business.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
The next chapter of Ramp's growth runs straight through the customers we already have: 70,000+ finance teams who adopted us for one thing and haven't yet seen what the rest of the platform can do for them. That is the largest untapped growth opportunity in the company, and Account Management owns it.
This is a build role, not a maintain role. You'll carry a book of high-value customers and real latitude over how you grow it. This means deciding which plays to run, which executives to get in front of, which products to lead with. Your ceiling is set by your judgment, operating rigor and urgency. Ramp’s expansion motion is a critical part of our long-term strategy and success, and this role represents an opportunity to help define what that looks like at a world-class business.
What You’ll Do
- Own growth across a portfolio of 300+ high-value customers - retention, adoption, expansion, and net-new spend on the platform.
- Build real relationships with the finance leaders who make the decisions, and connect what they're trying to accomplish to what Ramp can actually do for them.
- Generate your own expansion pipeline. The best AMs here don't wait for a buying signal - they create the reason for the next conversation.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews that change how a customer thinks about Ramp: from one vendor in the stack to the system their finance function runs on.
- Launch new products into your book. Ramp ships relentlessly, and every launch is a reason to open a conversation you couldn't have had last quarter.
- Quarterback outcomes across implementation, product, engineering, and CX - on new deals and on escalations, where trust is either earned or lost.
- Set the standard. Account Management is still being built here. The playbooks you write and execute are the ones this team runs next year, and that level of ownership translates into more opportunities in the business.
What You Need
- Minimum 3 years of “hunter” sales experience; either new sale, or hunting within an existing book
- Ability to anticipate customers’ needs to identify growth opportunities across various types of accounts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Fluency in AI sales tooling
- Ability to self-correct based on core KPIs and innate understanding of performance
- High agency and adaptability - no two days are the same, and the only constant is change
Nice to Haves

- Experience with financial services sales
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Expertise in using Salesforce, Outreach, or other productivity tools

Think like a territory owner, not just a closer
- Continuously refine your outbound approach based on conversion data (connect rates, meeting-to-opportunity rates) to improve territory performance.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing/SDR teams to fill gaps in inbound coverage.
