500M+ downloads. 80M+ monthly users. A decade of building – and we’re still accelerating.
Flo is the world’s #1 health & fitness app worldwide on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.
With 7M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.
The job
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong LLM and product engineering experience to join our AI Platform team and help ship the AI-driven features across our app — including personalized in-app content recommendations, conversational AI-powered insights, and AI-generated mobile push notifications. You will focus on the product-facing behavior of our GenAI features (relevance, quality, latency, and safety), using the platform’s judges, fine-tuning pipelines, and evaluation tools, and contributing to infrastructure work (Databricks, AWS, Terraform) as initiatives require it.
What you’ll do
Feature development:
build and ship LLM-powered product features, including AI-generated mobile push notifications, personalized in-app content recommendations and custom user journeys, and conversational AI-powered insights — including structured output such as charts and widgets
Latency and UX:
reduce perceived and actual response latency through streaming, pregeneration, and inference-time tradeoffs, working closely with product and design on how AI output is experienced by users
Prompt and model behavior:
iterate on prompt design and calibration, use fine-tuned health-domain models (Llama, Gemma, MedGemma) where relevant, and work with the Judge-as-a-Service ecosystem to keep outputs safe and high quality
Experimentation:
help enable A/B testing for model and prompt changes, using evaluation gates to ship safely and measure impact
Data and evaluation:
contribute to synthetic Q&A generation, golden test sets, and evaluation dataset design that supports the features you’re building
Infrastructure:
contribute to Databricks, AWS (EKS), Terraform, or CI/CD work as initiatives require it
Cross-functional impact:
collaborate with Product, Security, Analytics, and Medical teams, and engage with technology partners (Databricks, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS) on pre-release capabilities relevant to your features
Experience and skills
Must have:
7+ years of software engineering, with recent hands-on experience building product features backed by LLMs
experience with at least one of: prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, or model serving
strong Python, and comfort working with APIs/SDKs that wrap LLM calls, prompt templates, and structured outputs
product sensibility: a track record of shipping user-facing features, with attention to latency, tone, and quality of AI output as experienced by end users
comfort picking up new infrastructure tools (Databricks, AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions) as needed — deep prior expertise not required
Nice to have:
LLM evaluation frameworks (judges, graders, calibration methodology) or fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, RLHF/DPO, model distillation)
prompt optimisation frameworks (DSPy or similar)
feature stores or personalization/ranking experience (relevant to in-app content recommendation work)
healthcare, regulated-industry, or safety-critical AI systems experience
data engineering fundamentals (Spark, Delta tables, Parquet)

Finom is a fast-growing European tech startup, headquartered in Amsterdam, on a mission to revolutionize the financial landscape for entrepreneurs globally. We are developing an all-in-one financial B2B solution that seamlessly integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a mobile-first platform.
Following a significant €115 million Series C equity round, bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million, we are expanding aggressively across key EU markets (Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain). We go beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, to simplify financial management for small and medium-sized businesses.
At Finom, we empower our employees to make a real difference. We nurture an innovative and inspiring environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation, and ensuring every effort benefits our users, partners, and our business as a whole.
Engineering Manager - Product
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who's both a technical leader and a product builder. You'll guide a cross-functional team (5-10 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA) in delivering products that create real value for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
What You Will Be Doing
You're a seasoned technical leader with strong engineering roots and a track record of building teams that ship products that matter. You communicate clearly with everyone – engineers, product managers, executives – and you're genuinely curious about the product, the users, the business, and how your team's work drives real impact.
You don't just manage delivery. You challenge problem framing with your PM partner, ensure the team solves the right problems, and think in terms of business outcomes, not just technical outputs. You're comfortable discussing retention and conversion funnels alongside system architecture. You help the team understand ROI and prioritize based on value and effort.
You have deep technical expertise and can still step in to unblock when needed. You balance feature delivery with technical debt, keeping scalability in mind while ensuring the team ships at pace. You make technical decisions through explicit trade-offs, not gut feelings, and help everyone understand the "why" behind choices.
You take ownership of both outcomes and people. You run meaningful 1:1s, create growth plans, and own hiring and promotions. You build engaged teams through honest feedback and coaching. You invest in making the team more productive – better tools, smarter processes, fewer bottlenecks.
You drive predictable delivery by partnering tightly with Product and Design. You communicate proactively about priorities, risks, and constraints. You encourage healthy debate and move toward "disagree and commit" when needed.
Who You Are
5+ years of software development building data-intensive production systems
Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams
Deep technical knowledge: hands-on experience with at least one of the common general-purpose languages and platforms (C#/.NET, Java/JVM, JavaScript/Node, Go), distributed architectures, databases, messaging and queueing systems.
Experience in product-led organizations, ideally with international scopeStrong business acumen – you connect engineering work to revenue, retention, and trust
Comfortable with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion funnels)
Exceptional communication in English across all audiencesA builder's mentality: you care about shipping great products and growing great teams
Our tech stack
Backend: .NET Core, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes
You'll lead teams using React, Swift/Kotlin, Python/ML frameworks, and modern QA tools
What You Will Get In Return
Make a genuine impact on the product
We're a growing fintech serving hundreds of thousands of European businesses. You'll lead a domain team with real ownership and autonomy over what you build and how you build it. This is a place for curious leaders who want to grow as technical managers, product thinkers, and people leaders.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Database Support Engineer to join our Support Team and help developers unblock complex issues, build more reliably, and get the most out of the Supabase platform. You’ll work closely with customers and engineering, helping us improve product quality and developer experience based on real-world usage.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you’ll:

- Communicate Effectively: Communicate clearly and empathetically with users of all levels—especially during high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
- Drive Product Improvement: Spot patterns across tickets and recommend improvements to documentation, tooling, and the product itself.
- Mentor and Lead: Mentor junior team members and help raise the overall bar for support quality.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF
- Experience: You have 7+ years in technical support, databases, backend engineering, SRE, or similar roles.
- Postgres Expertise: You know PostgreSQL deeply—including autovacuum behavior, WAL growth, long-running transactions, table bloat, and other internals.
- Query Optimization: You’re strong in high-performance SQL and query optimization.
- Troubleshooting Skills: You’re comfortable troubleshooting complex setups, including multi-tenant schema patterns and distributed system behavior.
- Migration Knowledge: You’ve handled data migration issues (pg_dump/restore, schema drift, failed migrations) and know how to recover safely.
- Technical Stack: You have hands-on experience with cloud hosting providers like AWS and are comfortable in terminal/Linux environments.
- Operational Mindset: You thrive in high-volume situations and can form and test assumptions quickly.

- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
