ABOUT THE ROLE
We're scaling from 1,000 → 4,000 employees across 50+ countries, and the complexity of how we support our people through performance, conflict, and change is growing quickly. Our Employee Relations (ER) Partners protect fairness, consistency, and trust as we grow. You'll own our most sensitive and complex People cases, so that leads can act early.
As an ER Partner at ElevenLabs, you'll lead formal performance processes, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters from start to finish, working closely with Legal and outside counsel across many jurisdictions. You'll also coach leads through difficult conversations before they become formal cases, and turn what you see into playbooks, frameworks, and training that reduce risk and case volume over time.
This is our first ER hire. We're building a dedicated ER function, and we want someone who can help shape and build it out: how cases are triaged and escalated, how we work with counsel, and how we measure what's working.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can handle sensitive situations with discretion, make sound judgment calls, and bring clarity and calm to fast-moving environments.
YOU WILL
- Lead formal performance processes, including back on track plans, end to end, in partnership with Leads and People Partners.
- Run fair, well-documented investigations into misconduct allegations, grievances, and complaints, from fact-finding through to outcome.
- Manage disciplinary, dismissal, and exit matters, drafting outcomes and communications with Legal.
- Partner with in-house employment counsel and, when necessary, outside counsel to assess risk.
- Triage incoming cases with People Partners using clear escalation criteria, so the right cases reach ER at the right time.
- Keep the case log and report on patterns, risks, and trends by team, region, and case type.
- Build playbooks, templates, and training that raise lead capability and cut avoidable cases.
- Build out a self-serve ER flow for leads, so that common ER cases become scalable.
- Partner with People Ops & Compliance teams to ensure smooth execution of terminations, local requirements, and compliance-heavy workflows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on experience leading employee relations cases, including performance management, investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries, ideally in a fast-growing company.
- Strong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, clarity, and fairness.
- Solid working knowledge of employment law principles and comfort working alongside in-house and outside counsel.
- Skilled in writing clear, defensible documentation and coaching leads through hard conversations.
- Comfortable moving fast and staying agile, shifting priorities quickly as cases and the business change, without losing rigour.
- Comfortable building process as well as running cases, as the ER function is still being built.
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams or multi-jurisdiction environments is a strong plus.

The Global Security Operations Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for strengthening the firm's ability to detect, investigate, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity threats across its global environment.
Working as part of the Global Security operations team, the successful candidate will lead complex security investigations, develop and optimize threat detection capabilities, and implement automation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of security operations.
The role combines hands-on incident response with proactive security engineering, helping the firm move from reactive alert management toward an increasingly automated, intelligence-led security operating model.
Operating within a geographically distributed organization, the successful candidate will work closely with global and regional technology and security teams, provide technical leadership during significant incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security capabilities. Based in APAC, the role will provide critical regional coverage as part of a coordinated global security operations function.
Responsibilities
Advanced Investigation and Incident Response
Serve as a senior escalation point for security incidents, assuming ownership of complex, ambiguous, and high-severity events that exceed first-line triage capability.
Conduct detailed investigations to establish initial access vectors, attacker activities and objectives, scope of compromise, and dwell time, documenting findings to an appropriate evidentiary standard.
Perform root cause analysis on confirmed incidents and near misses, identifying underlying security control or process failures rather than simply addressing immediate symptoms.
Act as technical lead during significant incidents across containment, eradication, and recovery, coordinating activities across global and regional teams.
Conduct host and network forensics and malware triage, engaging specialist forensic providers where investigations exceed internal capabilities.
Translate technical findings into clear statements of business risk for leadership and drive post-incident corrective actions through to closure.
Investigate identity-based attacks, account compromise, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity across cloud platforms and enterprise applications, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Participate in an on-call rotation and provide out-of-hours escalation support during serious incidents, and undertake additional projects and activities as required.
Security Automation & Detection Engineering
Design, build, tune, and maintain detection content mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, identifying and reporting coverage gaps against threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures relevant to the firm.
Reduce false-positive volume and analyst alert fatigue through systematic tuning, suppression logic, and automated alert enrichment.
Operationalize threat intelligence by translating reporting and indicators of compromise into actionable detections, threat-hunting hypotheses, and preventive controls.
Design, develop, and maintain automated response playbooks, including Logic Apps, automation rules, and SOAR workflows, to reduce mean time to detect and respond.
Write and maintain queries, scripts, and code (KQL, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) supporting detection, enrichment, automated triage, and reporting.
Integrate security tooling and data sources through APIs and connectors, including onboarding new log sources with appropriate parsing, normalization, and validation.
Continuously assess and improve security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities, identifying opportunities to strengthen coverage, reduce operational complexity, and improve effectiveness through automation and technology optimization.
Identify opportunities to apply AI-assisted investigation, alert triage, and security automation capabilities to improve detection effectiveness, reduce manual effort, and accelerate incident response.
Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify suspicious activity, validate detection effectiveness, and uncover threats that may evade existing security controls.
Requirements
This is a hands-on technical role requiring demonstrated depth in security operations, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work with limited supervision. We value analytical rigor, curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to share knowledge and develop others as highly as any individual technology or certification.
Compulsory Requirements:
5+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or detection engineering, including demonstrable experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
Proven experience leading complex technical investigations end to end, from escalation through root cause analysis to documented remediation.
Deep, hands-on expertise with modern SIEM and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, including authoring and optimizing detection logic, conducting investigations, and managing data onboarding.
Strong practical automation and scripting abilities, including KQL and at least one of PowerShell or Python, with demonstrated experience developing and operating automation in production.
Experience designing and maintaining automated response playbooks using Logic Apps, automation rules, or comparable SOAR capabilities.
Advanced knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, Cyber Kill Chain analysis, and established incident response methodologies, such as PICERL.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking, Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Entra cloud identity and authentication, and security operations across cloud and hybrid environments.
Experience with host and network forensics, malware triage, and the analysis of malicious email headers, links, and attachments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical findings and security risks to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams, with flexibility to provide out-of-hours support during significant security incidents.
Occasional travel to support global cybersecurity operations and incident response may be required
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Industry certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GREM, OSCP, CySA+, SC-200, AZ-500, or CISSP.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Azure.
Experience operating within a global, federated, or shared-services model, ideally in professional services or another highly regulated sector.

who’ll be the technical lead for a new Search team at Babylist. This new team will be focused on moving Babylist’s search capability in-house, making our search results more relevant and personalized, and partnering with other teams to transform search in the product from functional to delightful.
Registry building is the heart of the Babylist product. Every parent builds a list of dozens of products, from swaddle to stroller, with real stakes (a friend or family member is going to buy these things, and a baby is going to use them). As a universal registry, this registry also typically spans many retailers. This makes registry building on Babylist one of the most interesting search and personalization problems in consumer e-commerce.
This is zero-to-one work, with big ambitions. You’d build a search capability from the ground up, with a clear mandate from leadership to do it. In your first year, we expect to have rebuilt search to be highly relevant and personalized, and delivered big bets like universal search: one experience across items we sell and items from other retailers, and across products, guides and registries. We also want to work with Addie, our AI registry assistant, to have LLMs play a role in the search experience.
If you want to tune an established search system, this isn’t the right role. If you’ve worked inside a strong search team and want to build a new system from scratch at a company earlier in that journey, read on.
What You'll Own
A Staff Engineer at Babylist sets direction. You’ll be the technical lead for search: you decide where it goes over the next year or two, sequence the bets that get there, and make the technical and product calls along the way. You’re still in the code and will drive initiatives forward across multiple teams. You’ll have software engineering and machine learning engineering support on the team.
A few examples of initiatives you’d drive on the Search team:
Build search in-house.
Choose the architecture for indexing, retrieval and serving, and plan a seamless migration. The system you design replaces what we use today and is the foundation for everything below.
Define what a good result is.
Decide how we measure result quality, then improve it through query understanding, ranking and the behavioral signals we collect.
Unify search across everything we show.
One experience across items we sell and items from other retailers, and across products, guides and registries, including how to rank items we don’t sell next to ones we do.
Decide how search and recommendations fit together.
Bring what we know about a user and their registry into results, and decide how much retrieval and ranking search shares with our recommendation models.
Make search conversational.
Work with the Addie team, our AI registry assistant, on queries like “best stroller for urban family,” where the shopper describes a need instead of naming a product.
Like every Staff Engineer here, you will:
Take a fuzzy business problem from the first sketch through to production, and stay on the hook for whether it actually helped customers.
Build the platform or tooling other teams adopt by choice, and own it as it scales.
Set the standard for how search builds with AI. Decide what good looks like, build the patterns and evals that get agents there and catch the output that's confidently wrong before it ships.
Partner with product, design and data as a peer, shaping what's worth building from the start.
Coach Senior engineers through the hard calls, the ambiguous ones as much as the technical ones
Who You Are
You meet the Staff bar at Babylist. You’ve shipped production systems for enough years to have earned strong opinions, and you hold them loosely. You can pick up an ambiguous problem and start moving before anyone hands you the full picture. You’ve already changed how a team builds with AI, and the new way stuck.
On top of that, you’ve worked on search problems before, ideally in an e-commerce setting. This role needs depth in the systems behind search and a clear focus on the people using it. You bring:
Hands-on search experience:
building and running search in production, including indexing, retrieval, ranking and query understanding. You know how to keep a search service fast, relevant and reliable as traffic and catalog size grow.
Experience evaluating search quality:
offline and online, including relevance judgments and A/B tests.
A focus on the user:
you use query data, behavior and judgment about result quality to decide what to build, and you can connect a search change to what shoppers do, and to conversion or revenue.
Comfort building from zero:
you can define the problem, design the system and own it end to end.
You measure yourself by impact:
a customer outcome, or a system a dozen teams come to depend on.
Compensation
We post real numbers. For a Canada-based Staff Engineer, the starting base salary range is $299,300 to $372,600 CAD, plus a target annual bonus of 20 percent of base. That's total target cash of roughly $359,160 to $447,120 CAD. On top of that you get meaningful equity and an RRSP match. Where you start in that range depends on your experience, and your pay grows from there with performance and scope.
How We Build
AI is the default here. Engineers run agentic sessions for most of the work, and a lot of the interesting engineering now lives in the scaffolding that makes the agents good: the eval harnesses, the curated context, custom review skills and fast CI. Agents also triage incidents and handle a big share of support. A human always owns the outcome.
The architecture is intentionally simple: one Rails monolith, MySQL and few moving parts. That's deliberate. Simple infrastructure lets us move fast and lets AI reason about the whole system, so the hardest problems are the ones in front of customers.
The Stack
Core app:
Rails, Packwerk, React, TypeScript, Sidekiq
Mobile:
iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin)
Data, search & events:
MySQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Weaviate, WarpStream, Hex, Sigma
Machine learning:
deep learning, matrix factorization, retrieval & ranking, AWS SageMaker, MLflow
AI & dev tooling:
Claude Code, Devin, Linear, CodeRabbit, Warden, LangChain, Bedrock AgentCore, Maxim
Infra & ops:
AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, incident.io, LaunchDarkly
Key integrations:
Shopify (payments), Iterable (CRM)
Why Babylist
An engineer, expecting her first baby, couldn't find the registry she wanted. So she built it. That's how Babylist started, and it's still how we work: engineers solving problems for families. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest moments in a person's life. Millions reach it for the first time every year, making thousands of decisions and figuring it out as they go. That's who we build for, and we're a long way from done.
Ten million people give gifts through Babylist every year. We did more than $750M in revenue in 2025, up 45 percent over the year before, and we've been profitable for eight years while staying independent. So you can take on a hard, multi-year problem without watching over your shoulder for the next round or the next correction. And the team is small, around 65 engineers, so what you ship stays visible and your scope stays wide.
How We Work
Remote-first across the US and Canada, and we have been for years. That's not changing. We trust you to own your time and your outcomes, and we get everyone in a room together twice a year. Teams are small, pods of three to five engineers, so nothing you ship disappears into a committee. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with product, design and data, and with the partners across the business who rely on what you ship. You'll also stay close to customers yourself: sitting in on user interviews, watching session recordings, riding along with support. Here that's part of the engineering job, on a regular basis.
How We Hire
Three rounds, usually two to three weeks start to finish.
Recruiter conversation (30 minutes).
Trade context: what you want next, what we're building and straight answers on comp, team and remote.
Technical screen (1 hour).
One round, no AI, language-agnostic. Reach for Google when you normally would. We just want to see how you reason from first principles.
Final round (4 hours).
Four one-hour interviews: system design, AI-assisted coding with the tools you'd actually use here, product sense and culture and values. You'll hear back either way within 24 to 48 hours.
Benefits
Company-paid medical and fully covered dental and vision
A 401(k) match
Generous paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, plus a gradual return-to-work program
Winter Wonder Week, a paid company-wide week off at the end of the year
A remote-work stipend
Mental-health and wellness support
A Few Things to Know
We record and transcribe interviews to evaluate candidates, in line with applicable privacy laws.
We expect you to use AI in your work and we welcome it in the process, but what you submit and say should reflect your own thinking.
If you have a family member or close relationship with a Babylist employee, let your recruiter know.

Your efforts will enable us to proactively identify, monitor, and stop compromised behaviors across OnePay's products and infrastructure, ensuring the continued safety and trust of our business and customers. You will:
- Build and tune detections, alerts, and monitoring workflows across cloud, application, identity, and edge environments.

On the client side, we build and ship product features for iOS, Android, and web platforms using React Native. We also embrace AI-assisted development, so engineers have their choice of Claude Code or Cursor to fit their workflow. While you don't need experience with our exact stack, familiarity with modern software engineering practices will help you ramp up quickly.
YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in information security, threat detection, security operations, detection engineering, or incident response, ideally in a cloud-native or product-focused environment.
- Strong experience investigating suspicious activity in web, API, authentication, and infrastructure telemetry, with the ability to distinguish attacker behavior from normal production noise.
- Demonstrated ability to review traffic and event patterns for signs of malicious activity, fraud, account abuse, credential attacks, reconnaissance, and exploitation attempts.
- Strong Python programming skills and the ability to write maintainable code for automation, enrichment, analysis, and security operations tooling.
- Experience building and tuning detections in a SIEM or detection platform and working with observability and logging systems such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar platforms.
- Experience operating or supporting a vulnerability management program, including triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Familiarity with cloud and application security findings from platforms such as Wiz, including CNAPP, runtime, code, and vulnerability scanning use cases.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- Working knowledge of identity and access systems, modern authentication flows, and the security implications of internet-facing applications and APIs.
- Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk prioritization, and practical security controls across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Practical experience using AI tools in security workflows, along with sound judgment about AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, excessive tool access, and weak auditability.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in environments where security needs to move quickly with product and engineering teams.

- Scale the operation as headcount grows: stand up additional teams as needed, govern BPO partners, and prioritise automation improvements.
- Close the loop between cases, losses and fraud patterns so that rules, thresholds, policy and product priorities keep improving.
- Own first-line control quality and audit readiness, with clear handoffs of risks, issues and remediation to second-line oversight.
- Represent SMB and Platforms Risk in governance, product and commercial forums, including risk-based pricing and bespoke platform deals. Hold a clear risk position while finding structured paths to yes.
- Apply AI and LLM-enabled tools to triage, case summarisation, QA and risk insight, with appropriate human review, data protection and audit trails.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Deep risk expertise in SMB acquiring, with a strong grasp of credit exposure, reserves, fraud and transaction monitoring across the seller lifecycle.
- Understanding of platform and PayFac models, including ISVs, marketplaces and merchant-of-record structures.
- Working knowledge of KYC/KYB and CDD, and of how onboarding controls connect to downstream risk.
- A programmatic mindset: you turn complex risk needs into operating models, requirements and roadmaps, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive delivery.
- Proven operational leadership of distributed teams through local leaders, with rigour in capacity planning, SLAs, QA, procedures and control evidence.
- A track record of building or scaling automated onboarding and monitoring in a high-volume, low-touch environment.
- Data fluency: you set meaningful KPIs, interpret rule and model performance, and work with analytics teams to improve outcomes.
- Senior influence with Product, Commercial, Legal, Finance and executive audiences, with the confidence to challenge and find responsible ways to say yes.
- Ability to travel to our Mauritius and Mexico offices at least twice a year.
DESIRABLE
- Hands-on depth in KYC/KYB, CDD and card-scheme requirements and controls.
- Experience managing BPO or third-party operations partners, including performance governance and service-quality improvement.
- Experience building a monitoring capability or operating model from the ground up in regulated payments or fintech.
- Experience deploying AI-assisted operations or agentic workflows responsibly in risk, compliance or customer operations.

An overview of this role
As a Data Engineer at GitLab, you'll build, run, and maintain the pipelines and infrastructure that bring data from our enterprise applications, internal systems, and GitLab's software as a service (SaaS) platform into our data platform. Your work will power company reporting, data science, and artificial intelligence (AI) self-service.
You'll own features end to end, from source integration to tested, monitored, documented data ready for use. You'll focus on keeping the platform reliable, secure, and cost-efficient as data volumes and AI usage grow, and making governed data ready for AI tools, agents, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)-based access. This is an AI-first role: you'll use AI coding agents every day while maintaining high standards for code review and testing. You'll report to the Director, Data Platform.
What you’ll do
Build, extend, and maintain extract, load, transform (ELT) pipelines from enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Zuora, Zendesk, and Marketo, internal systems, and the GitLab SaaS platform. Integrate data through application programming interfaces (APIs) and event sources such as Snowplow.
Manage and maintain the infrastructure behind the platform, including SaaS tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, and Monte Carlo, and self-managed services such as Airflow and Kubernetes.
Write maintainable, well-tested, performant Python and Structured Query Language (SQL) code that meets our internal standards, and review GitLab team members' merge requests.
Own day-to-day platform operations: triage and resolve failed pipelines, infrastructure issues, and GitLab team member requests. Use monitoring, service-level agreements (SLAs), data contracts, query and warehouse tuning, and data quality checks to keep the platform reliable and cost-efficient.
Partner with Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Governance, and business partners so data lands in the shape they need for downstream use.
Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code, OpenCode, GitLab Duo, or similar tools to speed up development, debugging, testing, and documentation without compromising review rigor.
Apply role-based access control (RBAC) and masking policies to make governed data available to AI tools and agents. Handle data subject to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, material nonpublic information (MNPI), and personal data safely.
Ship medium-sized features independently in small, iterative merge requests, and document architecture and runbooks in the handbook.
What You'll Bring
Professional experience shipping production data pipelines in Python.
Deep, hands-on SQL skills and experience with a cloud data warehouse; Snowflake is preferred.
Hands-on experience with ELT or extract, transform, load (ETL) pipelines at scale, including incremental loads, schema changes, backfills, and API ingestion.
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, familiarity with dbt, and solid data modeling fundamentals, including Kimball dimensional modeling.
Experience running and troubleshooting data infrastructure, with comfort using Git-based workflows, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and code review.
Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in your daily work, with an understanding of where they help and where they fall short.
Clear written communication, the ability to use GitLab, and comfort working asynchronously in a fully remote organization in line with GitLab's values.
Preferred, not required: experience with Snowflake; Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Terraform; SaaS application APIs such as Salesforce, Zuora, or Zendesk; data observability tooling; or Snowflake administration.
About the team
The Data Platform team within Enterprise Data is responsible for a scalable, reliable and secure data platform for data analytics at GitLab. That includes managing and maintaining the infrastructure we use, both SaaS and self-managed, and building and maintaining the data pipelines that bring data into it. We make data reliable, secure and ready for analytics, data science and AI tools. As more questions go straight to AI tools and agents, the platform underneath has to be more reliable, better governed and more cost-efficient than ever. We're fully remote and globally distributed, and work asynchronously through issues, merge requests and the handbook.
