From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for an amazing individual to join Fivetran's Employee Experience team as our Senior Lead, Employee Experience & Internal Communications. This role goes beyond writing great comms — you'll also help design how employees experience Fivetran day to day, from how we listen to them, to how we recognize them, to how we bring them together as a community. You'll craft compelling communications for employees around the world, build the frameworks that connect employees to one another and to our priorities, and design programs that make people feel heard, valued, and energized — all in service of our company mission.
You'll be hands-on: writing stellar communications, designing employee listening mechanisms, building recognition programs, and running culture and community initiatives. You'll also zoom out — building frameworks and cadences that scale, and using data (surveys, engagement metrics, attendance, participation) to tell a story about how the organization is doing and what to do next.

Manage and optimize internal communication channels (email, intranet, Slack, and other digital platforms)
Develop and maintain a crisis communications plan for unexpected events affecting the company and its employees
Employee Listening
Design and run an employee listening framework across employee groups (e.g., ERGs) and around key moments (e.g., reorgs), at a minimum quarterly cadence
Establish feedback mechanisms to gauge the effectiveness of communications and programs, and translate what you hear into action
Recognition
Build and document a company-wide recognition framework, pilot it with an initial team, and iterate based on results
Integrate recognition into everyday tools and processes (e.g., Slack, Workday) and align it with company values
Culture
Identify and help launch culture initiatives grounded in our top company values
Track and report on awareness and adoption (e.g., through the annual company survey)
Events & Community
Design a connection framework for events and community programming, including remote/distributed hubs
Plan and deliver company events (holiday, community, and milestone moments) with clear attendance and satisfaction goals
Data & Storytelling
Analyze and present data (survey results, attendance, engagement, participation) accurately and use it to tell a clear story that drives decisions
Skills We’re Looking For
6+ years of experience across internal communications and employee experience/engagement, with excellent, clear, simple writing

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

About GiveDirectly in the DRC
GiveDirectly DRC was established in 2018 to enable cash transfers to poor and rural populations via mobile phones, thereby promoting food security, poverty reduction, and financial inclusion. We aimed to demonstrate the operational feasibility and cost-effectiveness of transferring large volumes of money digitally in one of the world's least developed countries. Since its inception four years ago, GiveDirectly DRC has used mobile phones to transfer over $14 million to more than 65,000 beneficiaries in four provinces: South Kivu, North Kivu, Ituri, and Kinshasa.
GiveDirectly's activities in the DRC have expanded to include, among other things: compelling proofs of concept for mobile-based cash transfers; and the implementation of innovative technologies to target disadvantaged urban populations in Kinshasa, in collaboration with the DRC's social protection agency, the DRC Social Fund. The delivery of contactless cash to beneficiaries in Beni and Bunia affected by the economic consequences of COVID-19. You will be joining Give Directly DRC at an exciting time in its history, as we are establishing and hope to launch several new programs and strengthen our partnership with the DRC government.
About the Role
As Senior Manager, Operations (DRC), you'll build and lead the operational backbone behind GiveDirectly's programs in the country. You'll direct the support services team end-to-end — HR, logistics, procurement, and administration — while managing a team of managers. You'll design a procurement strategy that keeps goods and services flowing efficiently and reliably across provinces, own fleet and logistics management as the program scales, and manage the operational budget with an eye for efficiency. You'll also support the Country Director on HR strategy — recruitment, training, and performance — and design the systems needed for a much larger footprint across provinces, from procurement to digital tools that improve scalability.
This is a role for someone who can build systems as readily as they can lead people, and who's energized by both strategic design and the operational details that make it real on the ground.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the DRC support services team end-to-end — HR, logistics, procurement, administration, and office management — including direct oversight of managers
Develop and drive a procurement strategy ensuring efficient, compliant, and resilient sourcing across provinces, and own fleet and logistics management as the program scales
Manage the operational budget, forecasting and driving efficiency across procurement, logistics, and administrative spend
Support the Country Director on HR strategy — recruitment, training, performance management, and talent density — through oversight of the HR function
Design systems and processes to support a much larger footprint across provinces, anticipating future needs and identifying AI and digital opportunities to improve scalability
Coach and develop support services managers to build operational excellence beyond individual contribution
Maintain a compliance and operational risk register, and lead internal spot checks, audit preparedness, and action plans in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit
Own donor reporting, budget tracking, and donor visit coordination, and serve as the primary point of contact between the Country Office and GSS on operational and compliance matters
Own the Operational Knowledge Base and lead onboarding, training, and localization of materials as the team grows
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (management, administration, finance, or related); a master's degree is an asset
Minimum 6 years of experience in operations management, with a track record of transforming informal systems into structured, compliant, and scalable ones, including direct oversight of managers
Strong financial and budget management skills, with experience managing an operational budget
Proven experience maintaining a risk register and working closely with internal/external audit functions
Experience developing and coaching managers, with comfort delegating execution while retaining accountability for results
Strong digital fluency, with experience using and training teams on multiple platforms (Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Guru, Slack)
Familiarity with international NGO standards and donor compliance frameworks
Experience navigating the DRC's complex legal environment, including labor law and immigration requirements
Strong alignment with
GiveDirectly's values
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate fluently in English and French with high level stakeholders
Professional proficiency in French and English required; knowledge of Congolese Swahili and/or Lingala is an asset

At GiveDirectly, we strive to pay our employees generously and equitably. We use an accredited third party salary aggregator to calculate what we believe to be competitive pay based on role, location, and cost of living. We also have a no negotiation policy to ensure we are paying staff equitably across roles. Read more about our compensation philosophy

As Senior Manager, Programs (DRC), you'll help bring GiveDirectly's programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo to life — owning their end-to-end execution, from operational design to on-the-ground delivery. You'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving: designing systems that work, catching risks before they escalate, and using data to drive continuous improvement. You'll also lead people, managing a team of managers and field staff, while partnering closely with the Program Director and Country Director to shape what comes next. It's a role for someone who's energized by both the big picture and the operational details that make it real.
What You’ll Do:
Develop detailed project management plans for all our programs and drive them through successful end-to-end execution
Design operational models for new programs — including targeting, payments, and customer service — and define, monitor, and report on key operational and efficiency indicators
Identify operational vulnerabilities, such as fraud or reputational risk, and implement mitigation solutions aligned with the risk framework set by the Program Director
Analyze program-level data to diagnose the causes of underperformance and drive continuous quality improvement
Partner with Tech and Data teams to design surveys and ensure data integrity in Salesforce
Directly manage a team of managers, with oversight of field teams and call centre at multiple levels
Support the Program Director and Country Director in scoping new programs, including operational feasibility and risk assessment.
Manage partner relationships with key operational partners with oversight of scoping, contracting and ensuring the terms of our agreements are respected.
Develop materials for engagement with donors and other external stakeholders in order to represent our work externally.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience managing and implementing programs within international NGOs or a comparable operational environment; experience in cash or money transfer programming is an asset
Work experience in the DRC, or strong knowledge of the DRC context, is highly desirable
Experience in team management, including recruitment, team building, and development
Strong analytical thinking, with a proven ability to use data to identify problems and improve programs
Experience using technology and digital tools to drive results and operational innovation
Proven instinct for risk management and creative problem-solving in complex operational environments
A high degree of autonomy and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fragile, rapidly changing environment
Strong alignment with
GiveDirectly's values
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate fluently in English and French with high level stakeholders
Professional proficiency in French and English required; knowledge of Congolese Swahili and/or Lingala is an asset

Pink Elephant builds infrastructure of products at the frontier of mental health on EU&US markets.
Mental health is a global crisis hiding in plain sight. Nearly 1 in 8 people live with a mental disorder. Depression and anxiety alone strip $1 trillion from the global economy every year. Conventional treatment leaves most patients cycling through mediocre solutions for years - undertreated, undersupported, and underinformed. Progressive therapies are showing results up to 10 times more effective than standard care. Yet fewer than 5% of people can access them.
We're here to close that gap.
Our portfolio spans two fronts. The first is psychedelics - building the media, vetted practitioners directory and education for both therapists and end users. Such a synergy is designed to make evidence-based psychedelic care a real option for the millions who need it, not just those lucky enough to know the right person. The second part is everyday mental healthcare - mental health diagnostics, antidepressant journeys, the unmet clinical touchpoints, the patients who leave a 20-minute appointment with a prescription and no roadmap.
As CMO of Pink Elephant's Mental Health portfolio, you will own full-stack marketing across the portfolio, from go-to-market and positioning to performance-driven growth. Pink Elephant's Mental Health portfolio has strong products and no connecting logic. withClaro, our flagship companion app for people on antidepressants, sits next to several other products that do not yet add up to a single proposition. We know there is demand. We do not yet know precisely who we serve, what we promise them, or what makes them stay.
This role owns that. You will work as a partner to the CEO and the CPO, not as a service function downstream of them. The mandate is to define the segments, the positioning, and the portfolio architecture that everything else is built on. Channels and spend follow from that work; they do not lead it.
Key expectations & responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Find and sharpen PMF (primary focus)
Run structured discovery: user interviews, retention curves, cohort analysis, to identify the segments where Claro and the other portfolio products genuinely stick;
Own positioning and messaging, validated through live tests rather than internal debate;
Define what differentiates our products from general-purpose AI tools, which is currently our hardest communication problem;
Close the loop with product on what actually drives retention, and make that loop a standing process rather than a one-off project.
Portfolio architecture
Build the connecting concept for the portfolio: a single proposition into which each product fits, or an explicit decision that a product does not belong;
Make and defend calls on each asset: scale, merge, reposition, or retire;
Define how one product feeds the next, so that an audience acquired once can be served across the ecosystem;
Design the ladder across price points and commitment levels, from low-cost subscription to higher-touch, clinician-adjacent services.
Activation, retention & monetization
Own the full funnel: install, activation, trial, subscription;
Establish a reliable retention benchmark and improve against it;
Partner with product on paywall, pricing, and trial mechanics;
Run lifecycle marketing: onboarding, CRM, win-back.
Route to audience
Define who reaches our users and through whom. Our medical advisers, currently 4 therapists and 4 psychiatrists in the UK and EU, are an underused asset and a likely route to market;
Design and test the b2b2c motion through clinicians and partners, including what we sell them and how;
Shape channel strategy and hypotheses for the growth team to execute, and validate channel-message fit before spend is scaled;
Grow organic share through ASO, content, and referral loops.
Experience: What You Bring
Product marketing operator profile
7+ years in marketing for early-stage B2C or B2B2C digital products, with product marketing at the centre: segmentation, positioning, messaging, pricing;
Proven track record of taking products from zero to one, where the audience and the proposition were not yet obvious;
Demonstrated results in retention and monetization, not only in acquisition;
Strong data fluency: you think in cohorts, retention curves, and CAC-to-LTV;
Comfortable specifying and reading the analytics you need rather than waiting to be given them.
Ecosystem mindset
Experience marketing a portfolio or a multi-brand structure rather than a single product;
Comfortable holding several products at different stages, from pre-launch to scaling, and zooming in and out between them;
Experience with venture builders, accelerators, or startup studios is a plus.
Partner, not executor
You argue with the CEO when you disagree and commit once a decision is made;
You are comfortable being the person who decides what we stop doing;
You bring structure to ambiguity rather than waiting for it to be resolved for you.
Values & domain alignment
Deep interest in or experience with mental health, wellness, digital therapeutics, or other mission-driven consumer products;
Understanding of what responsible marketing looks like in mental health, where claims, tone, and user trust are under scrutiny;
Experience with regulated categories or with b2b2c motions through professionals is a major plus.
Compensation: TBD
Head of Partnerships & Communications, Mirari at
Pink Elephant

The second part is everyday mental healthcare - mental health diagnostics, antidepressant journeys, the unmet clinical touchpoints, the patients who leave a 20-minute appointment with a prescription and no roadmap.
The Role
As the
Head of Partnerships & Communications
for Mirari (the education vertical of Pink Elephant), you will build the partner side of Mirari and run its communications end to end, with your own hands. Mirari is being relaunched as a shared platform for short author-led courses in the European psychedelic education and therapy space. You will work alongside the Head of Product as one of two core leaders in the vertical, bringing teachers and organisations onto the platform and driving organic growth through network-driven strategies.
Responsibilities: What you drive
Teacher & Organisational Partnerships (The Core):
Identify, pitch, and onboard leading European psychedelic teachers, researchers, and practitioners. Form strategic alliances with relevant organisations for co-hosted webinars, newsletter exchanges, affiliate/referral set-ups, and presence at key annual conferences. Leveraging group assets (States of Mind podcasts, PsyStandard community, PsyAccess) as part of the partnership toolkit.
End-to-End Course Communications:
Create launch packs for every course (landing copy, email sequences, social posts, webinar pages, replays, and partner kits with tracked links). Maintain Mirari’s voice and positioning across LinkedIn, Instagram, site, and email campaigns. Manage webinar operations (announcements, registration, production, follow-ups).
AI-Powered Content Engine:
Build, automate, and maintain a repeatable content machine using AI tools for writing, research, and operations rather than producing every asset manually.
Performance Ownership & Measurement:
Own key goal metrics: courses announced, audience collected (webinar registrations and email subscribers), and course enrolments. Maintain a weekly one-screen report.
Success Milestones (First 90 Days):
Maintain all running webinars and communications, prepare launch packs, open 10+ network conversations, run 3+ webinars, launch 3+ organisational partnerships, announce 5+ courses, collect 500+ audience members, and establish enrollment tracking.
Experience: What you bring
Active European Network:
An existing, verifiable network in the European psychedelic field (education, therapy, research, harm reduction, integration, retreats) with strong relationships to open conversations immediately.
Relevant Experience:
5+ years in partnerships, communications, community, or BD (preferably in education, health, or mission-driven orgs); proven track record of building initiatives from zero.
Execution Mindset:
Highly hands-on temperament - comfortable writing emails, making calls, hosting webinars, and refining landing pages in a two-person vertical structure.
AI-Native Skills:
Daily proficiency with AI tools to scale content production, research, writing, and workflow automation.
Communication & Location:
Excellent written and spoken English in a sober, evidence-aware tone; understanding of legal/platform regulations on psychedelics; based in Europe (remote).
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience marketing online courses/cohorts, public speaking/hosting, knowledge of email/analytics tools (Kit, MailerLite, Brevo), and a second European language.
What Success Looks Like
The person steps into a running launch calendar: webinars and all course communication are theirs to maintain from the first month, and the kits (launch pack, partner kit) are prepared by them in that month.
First 30 days: all running webinars and course communication maintained; launch pack and partner kit prepared and in use; ten conversations opened from their own network; one partnership launched (co-hosted webinar, newsletter exchange or a new teacher confirmed); weekly report running.
First 60 days: three or more webinars run; three organisational partnerships live; partner kit in use by every announced teacher; two new teachers confirmed from their own network.
First 90 days: five or more courses announced with their involvement; 500+ people collected into webinar registrations and the email list; first enrolments on every announced course; a written view of which partnerships bring enrolments and which do not, feeding the 2027 plan.
Perks & Format: Why join us
Flexible Format:
Competitive compensation and potential fractional arrangements (3 days/week) available pro rata.
Performance Component & Equity Path:
Performance bonus tied to partnership-driven enrolments is possible, plus a clear path to leadership, partnership in the project, and equity.
Impact & Growth:
Opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind shared infrastructure for psychedelic education in Europe alongside a venture-backed startup ecosystem.
Flexible Remote Work:
Fully remote environment across Europe with high autonomy.
Compensation: TBD

Priority application deadline:
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Early applications are heavily encouraged.
We’re growing at incredible speed, and expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. We’re hiring a
Chief Technology Officer
to lead the building and rebuilding of the technology, systems and ways of working that will enable a sustained $5B+ p/a operation.
You will build software that safely and securely moves billions of dollars to millions of vulnerable people in some of the poorest and highest need parts of the world. This will require applying excellent engineering, team building and organizational judgment to complex, high-stakes operations: identity and fraud management, machine learning on large but imperfect datasets (cell phone data, satellite imagery, government registries), mobile money integrations, low-connectivity environments, rapidly evolving requirements all in diverse regulatory environments and country contexts. You’ll need to keep our legacy technology stack stable and performant, while in parallel building new systems from the ground up for our next level of scale.
You will lead engineering, data, security and enterprise technology – with a small, mighty and rapidly growing engineering team of ~15, and the expectation that this can at least double to ~30 in the next 12 months if you want it to. You’ll report to a CEO with deep experience running technology companies, and partner with our VP Product.
This role is remote, with working hours between US Eastern Time and East African Time, and some preference for candidates in our office hubs of New York, London, or Nairobi.
What we’re looking for:
An exceptional hirer, manager and organizer of technical talent.
Proven record identifying, hiring, developing and retaining excellent engineers and engineering leaders, and creating team processes that consistently deliver software with quality and velocity.
Deep technical judgment, applied close to the work.
You can evaluate major designs, pressure-test architecture and build-vs-buy decisions, and recognize when a team is heading the wrong way, without becoming the primary implementer. Low-ego: you’ll investigate a problem yourself when that’s what the situation requires.
Business judgment and decisiveness under ambiguity.
You’re not just a technical leader, you’re also a business executive. You understand the business, are a strong cross-functional partner, and have a history of good judgment when navigating tradeoffs of long vs. short term, speed, reliability, security, flexibility, cost, technical quality, and user impact.
AI first.
You have a point of view on where AI meaningfully changes engineering productivity and organizational capability, and you’ve moved a team from experimentation to real, measured use. You can set the tools, culture, goals, and guardrails that leverage the opportunities and mitigate the risks of an AI first engineering culture.
Embody and set an example for GD values.
We take
our values
incredibly seriously, and expect our leaders to embody, nurture, and promote them in the way they work and the teams they build.
Advantages, not requirements.
Experience in an operationally complex or regulated domain (fintech, payments, humanitarian response, global development); systems involving financial controls, fraud risk, identity, or sensitive recipient data; operating across multiple countries, particularly lower-income or infrastructure-constrained ones; leading both modern product engineering and enterprise technology.
What you’ll do
Define our technology vision and target stack.
Own the technical strategy for technology-first delivery at $5B+/year: architecture, platforms, build-vs-buy, and what we retire. Work with executive, product, finance, risk, and data leaders to turn program and product strategy into a sequenced, credible portfolio of technical investments.
Balance a demanding portfolio.
You'll manage six workstreams that all matter and won't all move at once: (1) building our new cash delivery stack (remote-first verification, fraud prevention, massive volume) (2) stabilizing our legacy stack until switchover, then managing the migration; (3) donor-facing fundraising products; (4) our global emergency cash system (and eventual white-labelling of that product); (5) enterprise technology; (6) internal tooling, platform, and cybersecurity. Deciding sequencing and staffing across these (and saying "not yet" credibly) is the job.
Build and grow an exceptional technology organization.
Recruit outstanding engineering and technology talent, design the org GiveDirectly needs at its next stage of scale (engineering, product, data, security, infrastructure, enterprise systems), and create the accountability, decision rights, and career paths to sustain high talent density. Grow the engineering team from 15 to ~30 with a lean but durable management structure.
Own the technical direction and quality bar.
Guide consequential decisions on integrations, data, security, reliability, and technical debt. Ensure our systems can safely support a major increase in transaction volume, geographic reach, and organizational dependence on technology. Set a pragmatic quality bar appropriate to high-stakes financial delivery while preserving speed.
Lead across organizational boundaries.
Serve as a member of GiveDirectly’s executive team, reporting to the CEO and bringing technology into major strategic and operating decisions. Help non-technical leaders understand technical constraints and costs, build credibility with country and functional leaders by understanding their realities, and force clarity when priorities, ownership, or tradeoffs are ambiguous.
Travel.
Approximately 4–6 trips per year, including visits to GiveDirectly countries of operation.
Compensation
At GiveDirectly, we strive to pay our employees generously and equitably. We use an accredited third party salary aggregator to calculate what we believe to be competitive pay based on role, location, and cost of living. We also have a no negotiation policy so pay is consistent across comparable roles.
Total Compensation (US) of $366,000 – $518,000
comprised of:
Base Salary: $300,000 – $375,000
Bonus: $45,000-$112,000 (bonus is % based and decided based on org-wide performance, we will share full methodology during the hiring process)
Annual Benefits Stipend: ~$21,000
Total Compensation (UK) of £225,000 – £317,000 comprised of:
Base Salary: £193,400 – £241,700

Bonus: $42,000 – $106,000 (bonus is % based and decided based on org-wide performance, we will share full methodology during the hiring process)
Annual Benefits Stipend: $8,453
If you are not based in one of the countries listed above, we will share an estimated salary benchmark for the country you are based in during the hiring process.

GiveDirectly Mozambique is growing – delivering large lump sum transfers at scale, developing tech-enabled delivery models, and building the operational infrastructure needed to support a significantly larger program. We're looking for an Operations Lead to strengthen the support systems and staff to operate with excellence at scale. This role will lead procurement, logistics, HR, and administrative functions end-to-end, working closely with the Country Director and collaborating with Programs, Finance, Internal Audit and Safeguarding teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational expertise – particularly in procurement, logistics, and HR – with the leadership skills to build and mentor a growing team. You thrive in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical environment, are comfortable making decisions with limited precedent, and bring a bias toward action and practical problem-solving.
Reports to:
Country Director
Level:
Senior Manager
Travel requirement:
Regular travel within Mozambique to field offices and program sites. Must be able to travel 1-2 times per year internationally for team retreats.
What you'll do
Build and lead the Mozambique operations team
Lead the GD Moz Operations team, including procurement, logistics, administration, and HR functions.
Provide line management to the Office & Procurement Manager and Human Resources Manager, while supporting them to build high-performing, appropriately specialised teams.
Create clear roles, responsibilities, and standard operating procedures that enable the team to operate independently and at a high standard.
Build the team's capacity over time, driving best practice and coaching managers to develop operations management excellence.
Contribute to cost-effective systems for scale
Help design and build systems and processes capable of supporting a larger program, identifying future needs (e.g. strategic partnerships, team capacity, technology solutions).
Drive measurable improvements in back-office processes, running regular analyses on speed, cost, resilience and controls.
Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and other digital solutions to improve the scalability of operations.
Leadership to procurement, logistics and administration
Oversee Procurement & Administration function through the Office & Procurement Manager, identifying bottlenecks and improving systems.
Develop and support implementation of a procurement strategy to ensure an efficient, responsive, high-quality, and resilient supply of goods and services.
Lead logistics and fleet management, ensuring efficient and reliable transport and distribution across Mozambique's operations.
Oversee budgeting and procurement planning to ensure needs are forecast and operations run smoothly.
Use data to conduct analyses to identify opportunities to improve procurement and logistics efficiency and value for money.
Support compliance and risk management
Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, maintaining a risk register and putting mitigations in place.
Ensure operations meet GiveDirectly's global policy standards and local regulatory requirements, adapting for the Mozambique context.
Work with GiveDirectly's Corporate Audit function to support internal audits and build systems for a strong control environment across assets, inventory, fleet, procurement and office security.
Closely collaborate with Finance teams for timely, efficient payment processes, facilitate external audits, and ensure compliance.
Oversee HR
Oversee HR function through the HR Manager, identifying bottlenecks and improving systems.
Support the Country Director in implementing and iterating on GiveDirectly Mozambique's people strategy to scale the team while building talent density.
Support the HR team to deliver initiatives that strengthen team culture and reinforce GiveDirectly's values as the organisation scales.
Drive best practice across recruitment, learning and development, performance management, and HR operations.
What you'll bring
Exceptional alignment with GiveDirectly Values and active demonstration of our core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity.
Significant experience (6+ years) in operations management, with strong expertise in procurement and logistics.
A track record of strengthening operational functions – taking systems from ad hoc toward structured, compliant, and scalable.
Strong financial and budget management skills, with experience managing operational budgets and driving cost-effectiveness.
Experience managing and developing teams, including recruiting and mentoring staff.
Experience overseeing or working closely with HR functions (recruitment, performance management, learning and development, culture building).
Comfort in a fast-paced and changing environment that involves a degree of ambiguity and requires figuring things out with limited precedent.
Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and a bias toward data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with INGO standards, donor compliance frameworks, internal controls, and audit processes.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working effectively in matrixed organisations.
Experience and aptitude leveraging new technologies and AI to advance operational effectiveness. Comfort with an agile and iterative approach.
Knowledge of Mozambique's regulatory environment for NGO operations, procurement, and employment law is an advantage.
Language Requirement: English fluency required; Portuguese fluency is a plus.
