ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Sentry, Support is an engineering discipline. Our customers are developers, and they expect answers from people who can read their stack trace, open the SDK source, and tell them what's actually wrong.
We're hiring a Senior Manager to lead Support Engineering. You'll run the team that handles everything from a single developer's SDK question to a production incident at one of our largest enterprise customers. You'll also help drive how we use AI in support: what systems are used, how they best help customers, enable the teams, and how we know the answers they give are right and forward looking.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage people, set the support strategy, get face to face time with customers, while also getting into tickets when it matters.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Lead and grow the team
- Manage and coach a team of Technical Support Engineers
- Set clear expectations for technical depth, response quality, and ownership, and give direct feedback
- Design a coverage model that works across time zones, including on-call and escalation paths
- Build career paths for Support Engineers who want to go deeper technically, move into management, or move into different teams and practices
Own support outcomes
- Own and report the team's core metrics: CX, time to resolution, escalation rate, and more
- Use support conversations as a signal: find the top drivers of tickets and get them fixed in the product, the docs, internal operations, or the SDKs, not just answered faster
Run AI-assisted support
- Own the roadmap for our support agents: which request types they handle, what context they need, and when they hand off to a person
- Set the quality bar for agent answers and the process for catching incomplete ones
- Decide where automation is worth building and where it isn't, based on data
Handle escalations and partner across Sentry
- Run the escalation process with Engineering: make sure bugs reach the right team with a reproduction and clear impact, and that customers hear back
- Be the support lead on high-stakes enterprise issues, working with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Sales
- Bring a clear picture of customer pain to Product and Engineering, backed by numbers
YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- Think great support is an engineering problem, not a staffing problem
- Want to build the team and the systems at the same time
- Can debug a tricky SDK issue yourself and also explain to a VP why their incident took four hours
- Would rather fix the cause of 200 tickets than answer them faster
- Have strong opinions on where AI helps in support and where it makes things worse, and be willing to discuss this at length.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in technical support, support engineering, or software engineering at a SaaS or developer tools company
- 3+ years managing technical support engineers, including hiring and growing a team
- Technically credible with senior engineers: comfortable reading code in at least a few of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby, and debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and how observability tools (errors, tracing, logs) fit into them
- Hands-on experience running AI or automation in a support org, and a clear view of its failure modes
- Track record of using support data to drive product and process changes
- Clear, direct written communication with customers, executives, and engineers
Bonus
- Experience at a developer tools or observability company
- Former software engineer
- Managed a team spread across multiple time zones
- Open source contributor or maintainer
The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for strong engineers with experience and interest in designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform.
Specifically, you’ll be working on the distributed object storage system that underpins every container image, volume, and checkpoint on Modal: hundreds of petabytes of data, replicated across multiple cloud object stores and a CDN, cached on local NVMe across a large fleet of workers in many datacenters, and shared peer-to-peer within each datacenter.
You’ll make cold starts feel local when the data is hundreds of milliseconds away, designing the caching, preloading, and peer-to-peer layers that hide object-store latency and keep public ingress off saturated uplinks. You’ll own durability and cost at petabyte scale, from streaming and batch replication between origins to garbage collection over billions of objects. You’ll work across the stack, from local disk and page cache to distributed blob storage and garbage collection, and you’ll help shape what storage becomes next as we push storage closer to workloads.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Build P2P sharing of data across workers within a single datacenter to dramatically reduce ingress
- Replicate data across multiple blob storage providers
- Automate garbage collection across hundreds of petabytes of data
- Deploy colocated storage clusters to datacenters to accelerate high-throughput customer workloads
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- You’ve built high-performance distributed storage or caching systems at a large scale (the more challenges you’ve worked through, the better)
- You have strong cloud skills, including deep familiarity with object storage (S3 or similar), CDNs, and their consistency, throughput, and cost characteristics
- You have strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, page cache, containers, etc.)
- You’re willing to step into the thick of it with our on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with replication, content addressing, and consistency models in multi-region or multi-cloud systems
- Experience operating storage systems at scale (petabyte-scale datasets, high-throughput read/write paths, large-scale garbage collection or data migration)
- Experience with data engineering at petabyte scale
- Prior experience with Rust

About the Role
We're looking for a FinOps Data Engineer to help drive cost optimization and cloud financial governance across our AWS infrastructure and GCP footprint. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and Product to find and ship savings, build the tooling necessary to maximize efficiency of every dollar spent in the cloud, and cultivate a culture of cost awareness across engineering teams. This role owns the data side of that mission: the models, pipelines, and analysis that make cost, usage, and margin numbers trustworthy across the company.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not an analyst seat. You'll do the schlep work other teams don't have time for, digging into a bucket's access pattern, writing the dbt model or Python pipeline that ships the fix, building the cost-vs-revenue mart that answers a margin question once instead of every time, and chasing a number until it reconciles. Strong communication matters as much as technical depth, you'll regularly explain a savings case or a data model's implications to an engineering team, a finance stakeholder, and a leadership audience in the same week.
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you'll:
- Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP: Analyze billing, usage, and cost trends to identify opportunities, rightsizing, storage lifecycle policies, data transfer, and spot/auto-scaling. Take ideas from identification through to a realized dollar figure, not just a recommendation.
- Build and maintain the FinOps data pipeline: Design and run the BigQuery/dbt models that turn raw billing and usage data (CUR, Storage Lens) into reconciled, trustworthy mart tables, the foundation everything else in FinOps is built on.
- Build cost-vs-revenue and customer segmentation models: Model unit economics and margin by product line and customer segment, and extend coverage as new products and segments come online.
- Apply data science to cost and usage data: Build forecasting models, detect anomalies statistically rather than by threshold alone, and quantify savings opportunities (e.g. storage lifecycle, request-cost patterns) with rigor a spreadsheet can't match.
- Build and maintain cost attribution: Tagging policies, cost allocation, and chargeback/showback so engineering teams can see and own their own spend. This is foundational work other savings work depends on.
- Automate cost governance: Build automated cost reporting, anomaly detection, and alerting. Write the scripts and infrastructure-as-code (Python, Terraform, Lambda) that enforce cost policy rather than relying on manual review.
- Partner with engineering on architecture decisions: Bring cost into the room early, cost-efficiencies are cheaper to get right at design than to retrofit.
- Work with Finance on forecasting and reporting: Support budget tracking and financial KPIs; build dashboards and self-serve analytics engineering and finance can both read.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Have strong AWS expertise and working GCP knowledge, including pricing models, billing structures, and cost optimization mechanics.
- Have data engineering depth: dbt, BigQuery (or an equivalent modern warehouse), SQL at scale, and data modeling for analytics (dimensional modeling, incremental models, testing).
- Have data science fundamentals: statistical forecasting, anomaly detection, and experimentation, and know when a rigorous model beats a rule of thumb.
- Have automation and scripting skills: Python, Terraform/ pulumi, Lambda, or Bash.
- Are comfortable with cost/billing tooling: AWS Cost Explorer, Cost & Usage Reports, GCP Billing Reports, and BI/dashboarding (we use Hex).
- Have experience with, or are comfortable picking up, Linear and Notion as the system of record for tracking and documenting FinOps work.
- Experience with a dedicated cloud cost management platform (e.g. CloudZero, Vantage, or similar) is a plus, not required.
- Can analyze cost data and present it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Have prior experience spanning data analytics, data engineering, or data science in a FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud governance context.
- Are energized by doing the unglamorous, high-leverage work (the schlep) that unblocks other teams, and by working cross-functionally without positional authority.

We bring data tools with the elegance and simplicity of consumer products to the crufty world of enterprise business intelligence. We provide an opinionated open source starting point for how companies should measure, analyze and share their data, which is used by tens of thousands of companies.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Security Engineer with deep expertise in source code analysis and offensive product security research. You’ll dig into complex software architectures, trace how code behaves at runtime, uncover subtle vulnerabilities, and address the systemic flaws behind them.
Embedded in our core engineering team, you’ll help shape security decisions from early design through release and adoption. This is a hands-on engineering and research role: you’ll combine your security expertise with frontier AI tools to find vulnerabilities, develop fixes, and make Metabase secure by default across its product, dependencies, and runtime.
Things you’ll do
Partner with engineers throughout feature development, bringing security expertise to design, implementation, release, and adoption.
Build security-focused features, lead security improvements across the codebase, and implement fixes that address root causes.
Use and evaluate advanced AI tools to scale code analysis, vulnerability research, and secure engineering practices.
Conduct offensive research into Metabase, develop proofs of concept, and validate vulnerabilities.
Assess findings based on exploitability and real-world impact, define clear remediation criteria, and verify that fixes are effective.
Turn individual findings into broader improvements that prevent entire classes of vulnerabilities.
What you bring
A demonstrated track record of finding and exploiting application vulnerabilities through source code analysis and hands-on research.
The ability to independently navigate unfamiliar codebases, understand complex architectures, and reason about runtime behavior and trust boundaries.
Experience with application security challenges, including authentication, authorization, injection, and unsafe handling of untrusted data.
Sound judgment about exploitability and real-world impact, and the ability to communicate findings and remediation options clearly.
Strong software engineering skills, including the ability to implement durable security fixes. Experience in Clojure, or a strong desire to learn.
A thoughtful approach to AI-assisted security work, using these tools to extend your expertise while independently validating their output.
Ownership and curiosity: you pursue difficult questions, collaborate closely with engineers, and follow findings through to resolution.
Compensation
The US base salary range for this role is $160K–$225K annually, plus equity and benefits.
Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, and scope of responsibility. Pay may vary by geographic location and other job-related factors.
Benefits
We offer meaningful equity and a comprehensive US benefits package, including fully employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 75% coverage for dependents), a 401(k) with employer match available to enroll after the first 30 days, flexible and unlimited paid time off including sick time, and an asynchronous, remote-first environment.
We're a global team (50% outside the US), fully distributed (from Thailand to California), who get things done asynchronously, with plenty of uninterrupted time, supporting each other to do the best work of our careers. We offer flexibility (define your own schedule and work from wherever you want), autonomy, and an environment that fosters growth, learning, and development. We're relentlessly user-focused and believe in building long-term value, not short-term hacks. And we raised a $30M Series B to take our approach to the next level for years to come.
For U.S. applicants: Metabase participates in the federal E-Verify program, which confirms employment authorization of newly hired U.S. based employees. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates and is only initiated upon hire.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
You'll join our GTM Systems team, which owns the systems LangChain's go-to-market actually runs on — Salesforce above all: the account and contact model, territory and routing, the sales process from first touch to closed-won, and the quote-to-cash and provisioning stack behind it.
We design and ship internal product for the GTM organization. AI agents do a growing share of the building: they draft design docs, open changes, and run Salesforce deployments, while humans hold the approval gates. Build capacity — engineers plus the agent bench — sits on this team, and you'll help decide what it works on next.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You'll own the requirements, prioritization, and quality bar for LangChain's Salesforce-centered GTM systems, turning ambiguous revenue-team needs into shipped process and systems changes that scale.
This is not a ticket queue role. You'll be accountable for a small number of high-leverage GTM systems programs at a time: defining the problem, aligning stakeholders, specifying the solution, and ensuring what ships changes how the revenue org operates.
You'll work across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Support, and Finance in a fast-changing environment where priorities move quickly and influence matters more than reporting lines. The core challenge is operating with authority but not control: aligning teams around tradeoffs as the business changes underneath the plan.
You won't be expected to write production code. You will be expected to write clear enough specifications that engineers and AI coding agents can build from them, and to review the output with enough Salesforce and systems judgment to decide whether it is correct.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area — in office 4 days a week. The people whose processes you're redesigning are in this building, and so are the engineers who build LangGraph.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
Carry multi-quarter programs
- Own the Salesforce sales process from lead to close — routing, qualification, territory assignment, and stage progression — driving each initiative from discovery through UAT, change management, and adoption.
- Be the person stakeholders come to before they file a request, especially when the system was never designed for what the business now needs.
- Own the intake and prioritization model for hundreds of quarterly GTM systems requests, ensuring the team works on the highest-leverage business problems rather than the loudest tickets.
Own what gets specified and what ships
- Run discovery and turn ambiguous asks into BRDs, process flows, data models, and acceptance criteria — with a clear problem statement and ROI justification, precise enough to execute without a second conversation.
- Hold the quality gate: you write the specification, engineers and coding agents write the code, and nothing reaches production without your sign-off.
- Run vendor evaluations when the right answer is buy, integrate, or replace rather than build.
Protect revenue data integrity
- Trace anomalies in revenue fields — Net ARR, initial pipeline, lead source — back to the automation, trigger, or integration that wrote them.
- Own the reconciliation seam between Salesforce, usage-based billing, and cloud-marketplace transactions.
- Identify which design decisions are load-bearing and which are cosmetic, and catch the downstream failure modes before they reach production.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
In your first 6–12 months, you might:
- Redesign the lead-to-opportunity process so routing, qualification, and stage progression are measurable, enforceable, and adopted by the field.
- Create a prioritization model for hundreds of GTM systems requests per quarter, with clear tradeoffs and business rationale.
- Ship a Salesforce change that improves pipeline hygiene, quote-to-cash accuracy, provisioning reliability, or cloud marketplace reconciliation.
- Establish a specification and UAT standard that engineers and AI agents can reliably build against.
- Build enough trust with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Support, and Finance that stakeholders bring you the problem before they prescribe the solution.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
SYSTEMS AND DOMAIN DEPTH
- Domain and tenure — 6–8 years in business systems, sales systems, revenue systems, or GTM systems, with Salesforce as your primary platform throughout.
- Sales process depth — you've partnered with Sales Ops on the things reps feel every day: territory and account coverage, lead qualification and routing, stage gates, and pipeline and forecast hygiene.
- Sales systems / RevOps depth — experience across quote-to-cash, CPQ, territory and lead routing, forecasting, or adjacent revenue processes.
- Technical fluency — you can read a data model, a Flow, and enough Apex to design against what's really there, even though you are not expected to write production code.
PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
- Program ownership — you've been the single accountable owner, at the working level negotiating the commitments yourself, of a program that spanned four or more functions and changed how a revenue org works day to day.
- Release risk — you've delivered a program into a core system on a release process you didn't control, where another team's change could break your release.
- Re-scoping under change — you've re-scoped a program mid-flight because the business changed under it, a sponsor moved, or the original scope no longer matched reality.
- Holding the line — you've turned down a request with executive backing and kept the relationship; you hold the line when something breaks pricing discipline, a legal constraint, or the architecture, and you arrive with the alternative.
JUDGMENT AND COMMUNICATION
- One tradeoff, two audiences — you write for the reader in front of you, not the one you find easiest: the VP gets the page, the engineer gets the spec.
- Maximum agency — you find the friction and start the project. You don't wait for a ticket.
- AI judgment — you give an agent the same brief you'd give a new engineer, and you check its work the same way.
- Architecture judgment — you know which design calls are load-bearing and which are cosmetic: why a usage event belongs on its own object rather than a field on Account, and how you'd catch that renaming one picklist breaks the provisioning saga before anyone deploys it.
STRONG SIGNALS:
None of these is a screen; any one makes you useful faster.
- You've owned a core Salesforce object domain — Account, Contact, Lead, or Opportunity — through a full redesign.
- You've traced a Salesforce field into a usage record into a provisioning step, and seen what broke downstream when it moved.
- You've worked with cloud marketplace operations — AWS or GCP private offers, co-sell, entitlement mapping, metering, and the failure modes when they break.
- You've worked with usage-based billing systems such as Metronome, Orb, or similar, and CRM↔billing identity reconciliation.
- You have LangChain or LangGraph experience, or you're excited to learn it here from the people who build it.

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Order Management sits at the center of how Figma turns contracts into revenue — every deal our Sales team closes passes through this team before it's invoiced. As part of the Revenue Operations team within Accounting, we own order form review, invoicing, and billing support for Sales and Support for a global customer base. As Figma grows, we're building the order-to-cash process for what comes next, and this role is a builder's seat: you'll take on our most complex orders while helping shape how orders get processed, reviewed, and automated as we scale.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Own the order process end to end — from contract review and order entry through to invoicing — processing orders accurately and within SLA, including our most complex work with validation for completeness, accuracy and policy compliance
Serve as a go-to resource for Sales and Support on billing and invoicing questions, and partner with cross functional partners to investigate discrepancies and booking blockers across systems — following up to conclusion
Detail-review routine orders processed by other analysts and our BPO partners, identifying error patterns and driving them to resolution
Play a key role in UAT for new products, SKUs, pricing models, and billing system releases — writing and executing test scripts, running end-to-end tests from order through billing, documenting bugs clearly, and working with cross functional partners to resolve
Support month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and data integrity across systems, while maintaining SOX controls, audit documentation, and the SOPs and test cases your areas run on
Take ownership of ad-hoc projects related to process improvement, system upgrades, or controls enhancements across the order-to-cash lifecycle
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
3+ years of experience in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a SaaS company
Hands-on experience with Salesforce (RLM or CPQ), an ERP such as NetSuite, and a payment processor such as Stripe
Clear understanding of how order entry decisions flow downstream into billing and revenue
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills — pivots, XLOOKUP, reconciling large datasets across systems — and comfort with data query tools
Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of producing quality work under quarter-end pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication across finance and non-finance audiences
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Docker is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for key parts of our AI Developer Tools team. You will work at the intersection of AI, developer experience, and platform engineering, building the AI-powered tools and the platform that let teams across Docker prototype, deploy, and scale their own AI developer tools.
As a Staff Engineer you will own the technical design and delivery for two areas:
AI-Powered Developer Tools. Design and build AI agents and tools that accelerate developer productivity, surface observability insights, and automate operational reviews. You will help teams adopt an AI-native way of working and speed up adoption of tools such as Claude Code and Codex. Examples include AI-powered code review and refactoring assistants, automated test generators and local environment setup tools, deployment pipeline diagnostic agents, and agents that simplify on-call work during incidents.
Self-Service AI Developer Tools Platform. Design and build the platform infrastructure that lets product and platform teams across Docker unblock themselves by prototyping, building, and deploying their own AI developer tools. You will set the patterns and standards that let teams experiment, iterate quickly, and graduate successful prototypes into production-ready services.
You will report to the Senior Manager, AI Developer Tools, and work closely with the team's Principal engineers, engineering leadership, product engineering teams, and platform teams across Docker.
WHAT WOULD MAKE SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
You are a hands-on technical leader who works well at the intersection of AI, developer experience, and platform engineering. You have shipped production systems built on LLMs and AI agents, and you can explain what worked and what did not. You think in platforms: you design something once so that several teams can move faster. You have clear opinions about what makes a developer tool good, and sound judgment about when to build, when to integrate, and when not to do either. You are comfortable in a fast-moving AI landscape and balance technical quality with shipping iteratively. Before you design, you ask about scale, users, and constraints rather than assuming them. You lead through influence and mentorship, and the engineers around you get better because you are on the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership and Architecture
- Set technical direction and own the architecture for AI-powered developer tools and the self-service platform within the team's roadmap
- Turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, plans, and staged decisions. Ask about scale, users, and constraints before designing, and write down your assumptions

- Shape platform capabilities including deployment frameworks (ArgoCD/GitOps), observability integration (Grafana), security controls, and operational tooling for AI developer tools
- Design reliable, scalable infrastructure for hosting AI agents and developer tools
- Recommend AI technology choices, LLM provider strategies, and agent orchestration approaches, and make the trade-offs explicit
- Work with the Senior Manager and the team's Principal engineers to align technical decisions with business goals
Systems Design and Implementation
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents for developer productivity, including code review assistants, test generators, deployment diagnostics, and incident response automation
- Build self-service platform capabilities that reduce time-to-production for new AI tools from weeks to days
- Build systems that speed up adoption of AI-native development tools (Claude Code, Codex) across Docker's engineering organization
- Set and meet reliability, security, and performance standards for AI systems, including SLOs, monitoring, incident response, and cost management
- Design integrations between AI developer tools and existing developer infrastructure such as CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and deployment systems
- Take part in the team's on-call rotation and use what you learn to improve alerts, runbooks, and tooling
Strategic Impact and Innovation
- Evaluate emerging AI/LLM technologies, developer tooling trends, and agent frameworks, and recommend what Docker should adopt and what it should not build
- Define how we measure AI tool effectiveness, including adoption, productivity gains, and developer satisfaction
- Improve AI tool performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience through architectural improvements
- Contribute to the technical approach for hardening proven internal tools so other teams across Docker can adopt them
- Lead cross-team technical delivery, surface risks early, and work with Infrastructure, Security, and Data on shared standards
Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor senior engineers on AI/LLM integration patterns, agent development, and platform engineering practices
- Lead design reviews and raise the quality of design and code reviews across the team
- Create reusable patterns, documentation, and architectural decision records (ADRs) that other engineers build on
- Help the team turn good individual AI-assisted engineering practice into shared workflows and controls
- This role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership on production systems at scale
- Hands-on production experience building LLM-powered applications, AI agents, or AI-assisted developer tools
- Strong understanding of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others), prompt engineering, agent orchestration frameworks, and practical uses of AI in software development workflows
- Track record of designing and building scalable distributed systems and developer-facing platforms
- Production experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes, GitOps deployment patterns, observability systems, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Go (preferred), Rust, Java, or Python, with strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience designing developer tools, platform systems, or internal tools that other teams rely on
- Track record of clarifying requirements and constraints with stakeholders before committing to a design
- Track record of leading complex initiatives that crossed team boundaries, and of influencing without direct authority
- Strong product and platform judgment: you weigh business outcomes, developer experience, and technical trade-offs
- Clear written and spoken communication suited to a remote, async-first company
- Track record of mentoring other experienced engineers
- Ownership mentality with a bias for action and iterative delivery in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
PREFERRED
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI agent integration standards
- Background in developer productivity, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- Contributions to open source AI tools, developer tooling, or platform engineering projects
- Experience evolving an internal platform or tool into a widely adopted, production-grade service
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and operational practices for production AI systems

- Lead the technical framing and delivery plan for one significant problem, from requirements through to production
- Document the architecture, technology choices, and integration patterns for that work, including ADRs
- Ship a production AI developer tool that sets patterns the team can reuse (for example an AI-powered code review agent, a deployment diagnostic agent, or an on-call assistant)
- Contribute to the technical foundations of the self-service platform: deployment pipeline, observability integration, security controls, and cost management
- Lead design reviews for your area of the roadmap and begin mentoring other engineers
- Take part in the on-call rotation
FIRST YEAR OUTLOOK
- Be the trusted technical lead for your area of AI Developer Tools, and a sought-after partner for teams across Docker
- Deliver at least one material outcome that spans multiple teams or systems
- Have multiple production AI tools demonstrating value across Docker's engineering organization
- Help build a self-service platform that lets multiple teams build, deploy, and operate their own AI tools with little friction
- Define and instrument how the team measures AI tool adoption, effectiveness, and developer productivity impact
- Grow other senior engineers into broader ownership, and reduce the number of decisions that depend on a small set of people
