We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to candidates based near our NYC office or those willing to relocate.
Building general world models — systems that understand and simulate reality across tasks, modalities, and domains — requires closing the loop between learned representations and real-world action. We're looking for a Robotics Engineer to bring our video-native foundation models onto real hardware: deploying world-model-based policies on real robots and making them work in the real world.
You will work across the full stack of robot learning — from data collection and task design, to policy deployment, to physical evaluation. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role at the intersection of foundation models, learned robot policies, and hardware. You'll bring deep robotics domain expertise and help us ship world-model-based robot policies end-to-end, with applications ranging from manipulation to mobile robotics.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the deployment loop for learned policies (VLAs, diffusion policies, World Action Models) on real robot arms: inference serving, action decoding, controller integration, latency budgets, and safety limits
- Diagnose real-world policy failures — determining whether the problem is data coverage, camera/proprioception mismatch, or execution — and partner with the research team to fix it at the right layer
- Design demonstration data collection protocols (task setup, camera placement, teleop conventions) that produce data our world models can actually learn from — working with our existing teleop and lab infrastructure
- Partner with research to run controlled experiments connecting world model representations, data composition, and fine-tuning recipes to physical success rates
- Define and run physical evaluation protocols so results are trustworthy and comparable across policy iterations
- Adapt our policy recipe to partner hardware and new embodiments
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- You have personally deployed software on real robot hardware and iterated to make it work — whether learned policies, motion planning, classical control, or perception-driven manipulation. You can walk through a specific system you shipped, what broke on the physical robot that didn't break in sim or testing, and how you fixed it.
- Fluency in the software-to-robot interface: action/command spaces, control frequencies, observation pipelines, calibration, and how each affects real-world behavior
- Comfort working at the intersection of software and physical systems: you can reconfigure a robot workspace and trace a policy failure in the same afternoon
- Bonus: direct experience deploying learned policies (VLAs, diffusion policies) on real hardware; experience with video/multimodal generative models or world models
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. ABOUT THE ROLE
As our first Federal Partner Alliances Lead for the US, you will own the systems integrator and consulting partner ecosystem across the US Federal market. This is a high-leverage, senior individual contributor role where you will build and drive our federal partner strategy from the ground up — focused primarily on establishing deep, revenue-generating relationships with the major Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs) and a curated set of specialized boutique partners.
You are an operator at heart who loves the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup. You understand how developer tools and enterprise AI stacks fit together within the unique compliance and regulatory requirements of the federal space, and you have a track record of driving sourced and influenced revenue through partner channels without needing a heavy management playbook to guide you. This role sits within our GTM organization and will work closely with our field sellers, customer engineering teams, and product leaders to embed LangChain into the delivery practices and solution portfolios of the partners who win and execute the biggest federal AI programs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own FSI Relationships: Build and lead LangChain's strategic partnerships with the major federal primes — including Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, Accenture Federal, and similar large-scale integrators. Drive structured engagement across their AI/ML practices, solution architects, and business development teams to embed LangChain into active and upcoming program pursuits.
- Develop Boutique and Specialized Partners: Identify and activate a curated set of smaller, mission-focused federal consultancies and AI-native partners that are embedded in specific agency relationships or cleared environments where the primes don't reach.
- Build Joint Go-to-Market Motions: Work with FSI partners to co-develop solution offerings, reference architectures, and proposal language that positions LangChain as the preferred agentic AI framework for federal program delivery.
- Drive Pipeline Through Partners: Own the partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, working hand-in-hand with LangChain's field sales team to ensure FSI relationships translate into real opportunities and closed revenue.
- Support Hyperscaler Relationships Selectively: Maintain a lightweight working relationship with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and GCP Public Sector teams, primarily to support event sponsorships, joint visibility opportunities, and marketplace presence — without making this a primary focus of the role.
- Execute Co-Marketing Motions: Partner with marketing to show up effectively at key federal industry events (AFCEA, AWS Summit DC, industry days) and develop technical content and co-branded materials that reinforce LangChain's credibility with FSI and agency audiences.
- Build the Playbook: Create the operational blueprint for how LangChain scales federal partnerships — from initial relationship mapping and partner tiering to joint pipeline tracking and executive engagement cadences.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in federal partner management, business development, or alliance roles, with a strong track record of building and monetizing relationships with major FSIs and federal primes. Direct experience working within or alongside Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, or similar organizations is a significant plus.
- FSI Network: A genuine, pre-existing network within the business development, AI/ML practice, and solutions architecture communities at the major federal primes. You should be able to get meetings quickly and have credibility with the people who shape program pursuit decisions.
- Technical Foundation: Enough technical fluency to speak credibly with enterprise architects and engineering leads in federal environments. You don't need to write code, but you must understand how LLMs, agentic frameworks, and developer tooling operate within federal infrastructure, including FedRAMP, IL4/IL5, and zero-trust requirements.
- Startup Agility: Proven ability to navigate a high-growth environment with limited structure. You are comfortable building the playbook as you run it, executing independently with minimal supervision in the often long-cycle federal sales environment.
- Operational Rigor: Strong pipeline management skills. You track partner activity with clean CRM hygiene, maintain accurate opportunity attribution, and communicate clearly and consistently to internal stakeholders.
- Strong Communication & Influence: Equally comfortable writing sharp internal strategy docs as you are presenting to senior BD and practice leaders at major federal integrators.
NICE TO HAVE'S
- Active security clearance (Secret or higher) or existing clearance eligibility.
- Prior experience at an open-source, developer tools, or infrastructure software company bringing a new technology into the federal FSI ecosystem.
- Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles (GSA Schedule, OTAs, BPAs) and how primes use them to structure program delivery.
- Familiarity with the modern LLM orchestration stack, federal data environments, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC).
Annual Salary Range: $190,000 to 270,000 + Equity

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

The Cloud Engineering team is the core of our tech unit, the underlying infrastructure that every other team depends on to ship software and grow the business. Behind rewarded ad experience, the partner-facing dashboards, the ML pipelines, and the ad delivery systems serving millions of users daily, there is one team making sure it all stays online, performant, and cost-efficient.
400 million user events daily, traffic spikes of 150,000+ requests per second, and a data lake that feeds data scientists, BIs, and real-time ML inference across the entire ad stack. To handle this reliably and cost-efficiently, the team runs Kubernetes with event-driven autoscaling and Karpenter, manages Kafka clusters for real-time streaming, and provisions everything through Terraform. Rather than defaulting to managed AWS services, the team actively replaces them with open-source alternatives like Druid, Airflow, Grafana, Prometheus, Spark, Trino, MLFlow, Jupiter Hub, Elasticsearch, and Fluentbit as part of a deliberate move toward cloud-agnostic architecture. Cost efficiency is treated as an engineering constraint, not an afterthought, including AI-based anomaly detection on infrastructure costs.
Your Mission & Who We Are Looking For:
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering. You've designed and operated cloud infrastructure at scale, with hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes. At adjoe, you'll be working across a stack that includes Kafka, Druid, Airflow, Spark, Terraform, and Gitlab running on Kubernetes clusters across data centers.
- Deep in the AWS ecosystem. You have a strong understanding of AWS services (EKS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, IAM, Lambda) and manage infrastructure as code through Terraform. You know the tradeoffs between managed AWS services and open-source alternatives, and have opinions about when each makes sense.
- Microservice event-driven architecture is your daily context. You understand how microservices communicate: topics, queues, object storage, and can support backend teams building high-performance Go services across distributed environments.
- Reliable CI/CD is a product requirement. You build pipelines that are fast, predictable, and low-maintenance, ensuring smooth delivery without becoming a bottleneck.
- Hands-on with emerging infrastructure. You're comfortable migrating existing workloads to self-hosted solutions as well as introducing new tools boost business results.
