ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
Our Sales and Solutions teams navigate hard technical conversations spanning inference performance, GPU economics, latency budgets, deployment shape. As Baseten’s platform matures, we need a dedicated owner to translate launch velocity into field readiness. As our first Product Enablement Lead, you'll sit between Product, Marketing, and Sales GTM and own how Baseten's products, features, campaigns, and market moments like the launch of GLM-5.2 https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-we-built-the-worlds-fastest-api-for-glm-52/ or Kimi K3 https://www.baseten.co/blog/making-kimi-k3-tokenization-18x-faster-for-million-token-agentic-workloads/ or the sudden evolution of Tokenomics https://newsletter.semianalysis.com/p/tokenbudgeting-our-conversations as a discipline get translated into field execution. You will own how these launches land with the field, how AEs and SAs stay credible on a highly dynamic technical ecosystem, and how what the field hears from customers makes it back to Product.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You are the bridge between product, marketing, and sales. You'll build the system and run it, which includes cross-functional program leadership, direct training and enablement of in-seat reps, and content and curriculum development for managers, sellers, and new hires. Success here will depend on your ability to build repeatable systems and rhythms and to partner across the business and with your enablement colleagues to ensure alignment and speed of execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own launch readiness: partner with Product and Marketing on positioning, write internal launch comms, and run readiness sessions so AEs and SAs can sell new products on day one.
- Build and deliver technical enablement that makes the field credible on inference, GPUs, latency, and deployment. Raise the floor for AEs; give SAs the depth they need.
- Produce the customer-facing collateral that comes out of this work: decks, battlecards, and demos that hold up in front of an engineer.
- Build repeatable systems, not just content, so enablement keeps pace with the product roadmap.
- Own the Product Feedback system from customers and the field back to Product and Marketing. Help identify what is resonating with customers and what isn't, in order to shape positioning, packaging, and roadmap.
- Define and report on how we know enablement is working (ramp time, adoption of new products in deals, win rate on launches).
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in product enablement, GTM enablement, field enablement, or product marketing at an infrastructure, developer tools, or AI-native company.
- Experience enabling an internal sales field (AEs, SAs), as opposed to onboarding customers' engineers.
- Technical depth: a CS or engineering background, prior SE/SA experience, or a track record of building demos and technical content yourself. You can hold your own in a conversation about model serving.
- Hands-on track record. You have personally written the collateral and run the sessions, and can point to programs, talks, docs, or certifications you built.
- Systems mindset: you think in repeatable workflows, not one-off deliverables, and you're comfortable defining success and measuring it.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity as the first hire in a function.
- You actively use AI tools to drive your own productivity - in how you draft content, translate technical detail for different audiences, and accelerate your work.
- Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
Location: While this position is posted in a specific location, all of Oyster’s positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever. We're open to candidates based anywhere in the AMER or EMEA regions.
Role Summary
We are hiring a content marketing lead to set the company-wide direction for Oyster’s editorial narrative: the category story we tell about the future of work, the arguments our executives make in public, and the original research that HR, Finance, and Legal leaders cite when making decisions.
You will operate as an AI-first functional lead rather than a traditional editorial manager. There are no direct reports, deliberately. Your leverage will come from the AI systems and governance you design—research agents, brand-voice models, fact-checking, source verification, repurposing, and evaluation—plus the senior stakeholders, freelancers, agencies, and subject-matter experts you mobilize.
We are looking for the person who wants to find out how much editorial ambition one exceptional operator with a well-built AI stack can carry, and who will set the standard for what an AI-native content function looks like. The scope is unusual for a single role: a live audience across our library, newsletter, and podcast; a leadership team that publishes and speaks; proprietary employment data from 180+ countries; and the mandate to build this function the way it should be built, not the way it has always been done.
Key Responsibilities
Own the narrative
- Define Oyster’s long-term editorial and category strategy across Marketing, executive leadership, Product, People, Legal, and customer-facing teams.
- Resolve high-stakes narrative trade-offs and establish the positions, evidence standards, and language Oyster uses consistently across business areas.
- Own a multi-year editorial roadmap and a focused portfolio of flagship research and thought-leadership bets linked to company strategy.
- Act as the final quality bar for voice, accuracy, evidence, and taste across human- and AI-produced content.
Build company-wide AI content mechanisms
- Architect and govern reusable systems for research, brand voice, fact-checking, source verification, repurposing, evaluation, and reporting.
- Define risk-based rules for where AI leads, where humans lead, and where specialist or executive approval is mandatory.
- Establish mechanisms and standards adopted across Marketing and relevant partner teams, not only within the content workflow.
- Measure leverage through throughput, cycle time, cost, adoption, quality, and business impact; evolve the system each quarter.
Lead thought leadership and executive voice
- Set the operating model for executive publishing and advise leaders on the arguments Oyster should make publicly.
- Turn proprietary employment, salary, and hiring data into a durable original-research programme that shapes external conversation.
- Mobilize newsletter, podcast, events, PR, analyst relations, Product Marketing, partner/customer storytelling, and social around shared narratives.
Own business impact
- Connect editorial and narrative decisions to company growth, customer trust, target-account engagement, earned influence, and pipeline.
- Build reporting that enables executives and teams to make better portfolio and investment decisions.
- Identify emerging market shifts early and recommend company responses before they become obvious.
Mobilize the extended organization
- Set direction for senior stakeholders, freelancers, agencies, specialists, and subject-matter experts without relying on formal authority.
- Create decision rights, operating rhythms, and shared standards that enable multiple teams to execute consistently.
- Define the long-term roadmap and future organizational shape of the capability, including what remains expert-led, becomes a system, or requires hiring.
Core Requirements
- 8+ years in content, editorial, or brand journalism, including senior ownership of a brand narrative or thought leadership programme at a B2B technology company.
- Evidence of setting a company or category narrative that changed decisions, earned external authority, and was adopted across teams.
- A portfolio of work that earned attention on merit through citations, quotations, debate, or organic sharing.
- A demonstrated AI-first practice beyond drafting, including agents, custom workflows, evaluation, QA, governance, and adoption by others.
- Exceptional English-language editorial judgment, writing, editing, sourcing, and voice control.
- Ability to turn proprietary data and complex research into clear, defensible arguments with business relevance.
- Experience making high-leverage trade-offs and setting direction across executives and multiple functions without formal authority.
- Proven ability to build scalable mechanisms, operating standards, and roadmaps that enable others to deliver consistently.
- Genuine motivation to operate as a high-autonomy IC with no direct reports and company-critical scope.
Bonus
- Domain background in HR tech, global employment, future of work, fintech, or another compliance-heavy category.
- Experience with AI search visibility — optimising for how assistants retrieve, summarise, and cite sources.
- Multimedia range: video, podcast, or design fluency.
- Experience standing up an in-house newsroom or an original research programme.
- You have worked or lived across multiple markets, or speak more than one language.
This might not be right for you if...
- You want a people-management role now rather than a high-autonomy IC remit.
- Your AI experience is primarily prompting for drafts rather than building and evaluating systems.
- You prefer high-volume production to a small portfolio of high-conviction work.
- You are uncomfortable challenging vague, unsourced, or off-voice work—including work from senior stakeholders.
- You need a tightly defined execution plan rather than shaping a function under ambiguity.
You'll also need
- A reliable home internet connection and fluency in both written and spoken English

How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Krak is Kraken's consumer banking and payments product — a fast-moving team building the card, payments, and financial features that bring crypto to everyday life. The Krak Product Operations team sits at the heart of this, making sure the business can move quickly without getting blindsided by compliance, risk, vendor, or operational dependencies.
This is one of two roles in Krak’s Product Ops function, reporting to the Manager, Product Ops - Krak. You'll bring leadership to the day-to-day, working directly with compliance, legal, fraud, client engagement (CE), and external vendors to make sure new features land safely and successfully.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Product Ops at Krak is a co-ordination and intelligence function. Your job is to make sure that the cross-functional dependencies that could slow or derail delivery are surfaced early, actively managed, and resolved. You'll also help the team make better product decisions by curating the right operational data and bringing market and vendor intelligence into the room.
You'll work across four areas: compliance and risk co-ordination, third party vendor management, responding to management information (MI) and feature performance, and strategic market intelligence. Your job is to make sure the right conversations happen at the right time, and that nothing falls through the cracks on the way to launch.
Compliance & risk co-ordination
- Maintain live, product-specific trackers of open compliance and legal items, including DRIs, status, and upcoming milestones
- Triage new features against regulatory requirements ahead of development; ensure sign-off is built into delivery milestones
- Work closely with fraud leads to ensure fraud controls and risk/velocity rules are factored into feature design (card, third party payments, and others)
- Ensure fraud and CE teams are operationally positioned - with the right tooling, admin access, battlecards, and support articles - ahead of new product and feature launches
- Support incident response for product-related issues and ensure post-incident reviews feed into product changes
Third party vendor management
- Maintain product-specific vendor trackers covering status, open actions, key contacts, and upcoming milestones
- Own the cadence for performance reviews with key vendors and track actions to closure
- Maintain a working view of vendor roadmaps and capabilities; produce periodic briefings on where vendor developments create product opportunities or constraints
Responding to MI & feature performance
- Ensure experiments and feature launches are supported by readily available fraud, dispute, and CE metrics alongside commercial KPIs
- Interpret fraud, dispute, CE, and auth/decline data to identify emerging issues and surface them to the right teams
- Drive follow-through on cross-functional findings - whether that's a compliance flag or a vendor issue
Strategic market intelligence
- Scan the market for competitors' changes to features, pricing, and risk positioning
- Monitor regulatory and market developments that could affect the Krak roadmap
- Identify third party vendor capabilities that could enable features not yet on the roadmap; flag where the current stack may be a constraint
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3-5 years experience in a product operations, strategy, or programme management role in a consumer fintech, payments, or banking business - ideally at a company with a card or payments product
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape for consumer financial products in one of more regions
- Experience working alongside or within fraud and risk functions; understanding of how fraud controls interact with product design
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with different stakeholders and different cadences, without dropping the ball
- Track record of turning complex operational data into clear, actionable MI for product and leadership teams
- Structured thinker who's comfortable in the detail but can step back and see the bigger picture
- Strong communicator - able to translate between the worlds of compliance, risk, engineering, and product
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with card issuing programmes (scheme rules, chargeback processes, fraud typologies)
- Familiarity with third party banking and payments vendors (e.g. BIN sponsors, scheme processors, TPP aggregators)
- Prior experience in a fast-scaling consumer fintech or neobank
- Exposure to crypto or digital assets products
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
