Location: United States of America
What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 16M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Reports to: Director, Engineering
Location: Remote US, Only
Compensation:
$165,000 to $190,000 base plus bonus and equity
What You’ll Do:
Huntress is building an Agentic SOC. When our detection pipeline raises a signal, an LLM-based agent picks it up and investigates it end-to-end. It gathers telemetry across our products, reconstructs what happened, and makes a well-documented determination about whether the activity is malicious. Over time, it will take on more of the work itself, growing from resolving routine cases to acting fast when it finds an attack and handing analysts cases with the evidence already assembled.
This system is meant to augment our analysts, not replace them. It takes the high-volume, repetitive work off their plates so they can focus on complex cases and hands-on keyboard intrusions where human expertise matters most. It also reduces toil in the rest of their day by using LLMs to pre-process the output of the tools analysts use constantly, so they start from a clear picture instead of raw telemetry.
This isn’t a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. The system investigates a large volume of signals a day across thousands of customer organizations. Many signals are benign, but some are live intrusions where minutes matter. The telemetry the system reads comes from environments where attackers are actively operating. Because the system makes real decisions, like closing an investigation or isolating a host, it has to be right, it has to show its work, and it has to know when to hand off to a person.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Agentic SOC team, you’ll build and ship core parts of this system. You’ll work closely with the team’s technical leads, SOC analysts, product researchers, and product managers. You’ll own significant pieces end-to-end, from an ambiguous problem to a production feature you can show is working.
We make full use of AI coding tools to enable you to accelerate your development. We don’t cap token usage. We expect you to use AI and all tools responsibly.
Responsibilities:
Build the investigation system. You design, build, and ship the components that make agentic investigation work: the tools agents use to query telemetry, the logic that drives an investigation, and the structured, evidence-backed output that analysts and customers see.
Turn analyst expertise into agent behavior. You sit with SOC analysts and product researchers to understand how they triage and investigate a given kind of Signal, then encode that into what the agent looks for, what it gathers, and how it explains its conclusions.
Take toil off analysts’ plates. You build LLM-powered features that pre-process the output of tools analysts use every day. They summarize, correlate, and highlight what matters, so analysts spend their time on judgment instead of assembly.
Measure what you ship. You build and extend the evaluations that tell us whether the system is getting better or worse, and you back your changes with evidence rather than a handful of good-looking examples.
Build with a security mindset. The agent reads attacker-influenced data, runs across thousands of customer tenants, and can take action in customer environments. You think about how what you build could be misused or manipulated, and you design for it.
Build for production. You write reliable, observable, cost-conscious code that behaves well when models are slow, wrong, or unavailable. You operate what you build and help keep the system healthy as new detections and products come online.
Collaborate and raise the bar. You give thoughtful code reviews, help teammates get unstuck, share what you learn about building with LLMs, and contribute to technical discussions and design reviews with clear reasoning about tradeoffs.
Balance rigor with pragmatism. You know when to prototype quickly to learn something and when to slow down because the cost of being wrong is high.
What You Bring To The Team:
6+ years of professional software development experience, including building and operating production backend systems
Experience building applications with LLMs, including tool use, structured output, prompt and context design, and evaluation. Experience shipping agents to production is a strong plus
An understanding of how LLM-based systems fail, and good habits for testing and debugging non-deterministic behavior
Solid backend fundamentals, including APIs, background jobs and queues, concurrency, relational databases such as Postgres, and data stores such as Redis
Strong skills in one or more backend languages and the ability to pick up new ones quickly. Our primary stack is Ruby on Rails. Prior Rails experience isn’t required, and we expect you to become fluent in it
Security awareness: you think about untrusted input, access control, and keeping one customer’s data separate from another’s
Curiosity about how security analysts think and work, and a willingness to spend real time learning from them
Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments
Experience with AI coding tools, such as Claude Code
BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Bonus Points:
Experience working in or building for a SOC, incident response, threat hunting, or detection engineering. It isn’t required, but it helps a lot, because we build these workflows around how our analysts actually investigate
Familiarity with endpoint, identity, and Microsoft 365 telemetry and with attacker tradecraft (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK)
Experience building evaluation pipelines or datasets for ML or LLM systems
Experience with Ruby on Rails
What We Offer:
100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
12 weeks of paid parental leave
Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans

Why Join Us?
Keet is a fully peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app built on Holepunch's P2P stack. There are no servers, no middlemen, and no data harvesting. People talk directly to each other, with end-to-end encryption by design.
We're taking Keet to a billion users, competing head-on with WhatsApp and Telegram. Product sets the direction. We're looking for a Product Engineering Lead to turn that direction into features people love, built to a standard that holds up at global scale.
You lead the teams that build Keet's features: the API team, which adds feature-focused APIs to Keet's core, and the frontend team, which builds the React app on top, each with its own lead. You report directly to the CTO and take direction from product. Product owns the what and the why. You own the how and the engineering bar. The split is roughly 70% engineering leadership and 30% product.
You're a combination of three things. You're an engineering leader who has helped teams ship consumer products at speed. You have real product sense and can partner with PMs as an equal, shaping what gets built, not just executing it. And you have an intuition for distributed, local-first systems, so you can work fluently on top of a P2P engine without needing to build it yourself.
Responsabilities
Engineering
Run the API and frontend teams day to day: unblocking, reviewing, and keeping them shipping.
Set and hold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
Own the technical design of features and the API surface between Keet's core and the app.
Make sure the API team works closely with our deep tech teams on code reviews, design, and anything that touches the engine.
Product Partnership
Work alongside Keet's product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work.
Push back when scope and reality don't match, and propose better paths when they exist.
Bring an engineering perspective to product decisions, especially where P2P opens doors that centralized apps can't.
Help the team move fast, using AI tools and quick prototypes to validate ideas before committing to them.
Leadership
Create clarity around team goals and make sure everyone knows what success looks like.
Mentor team leads to build strong team operating systems, improve how their teams work with others, and grow as leaders.
Lead by example: roll up your sleeves when the team needs it, and step back when they're ready to own it.
Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer product, ideally in chat, calling, or social apps.
Strong product sense: you can tell a good feature from a busy one.
Intuition for distributed and local-first systems. Offline-first and eventual consistency should feel natural. You don't need P2P protocol expertise, because our core abstracts it away.
Deep JavaScript and React.
Initiative, curiosity, resilience, and the ability to give and receive direct critique.
Bonus: experience with local-first apps, CRDTs or sync engines, offline-capable mobile or desktop apps, or open source.
What you’ll do Set the direction Create and communicate a multi-year vision for merchant payment optimization. Bring the portfolio together around a shared strategy, roadmap and set of product principles.

Their products are loud, physical, competitive and made to be filmed.
About the Role
We're hiring a
Video Editor who makes footage hit
to work remotely with their team. This isn't about trimming dead air, adding captions and calling it done. You'll take a raw clip of a ball smashing into a target and turn it into something people watch four times before they scroll.
That means effects, motion graphics and transitions that actually land, sound design on every hit, whoosh and impact, and pacing so tight there's never a reason to look away.
You'll edit in two styles:
high-end cinematic edits
for brand and hero content, and
fast, punchy direct response edits
built to sell in ads. If you can do both, we want to talk. If you're elite at one, we still want to talk.
Job Responsibilities
Day to Day
Paid ads:
Turn creator footage and product clips into scroll-stopping ads for Meta and Instagram, built around strong hooks and clear selling points.
Organic social:
Create Reels, TikToks and Shorts with energy that matches the products.
Effects and motion:
Add on-screen text, tracking, speed ramps, impact frames, shakes, graphics and anything else that makes a moment pop.
Sound design:
Put SFX on every action, sync cuts to the beat, and choose music that drives the edit instead of just sitting under it.
Hero and launch content:
Produce high-end edits for new product drops and seasonal campaigns.
Variations:
Cut multiple hooks and versions of winning edits so the team can test fast.
Requirements
A portfolio that makes us stop. Nothing else matters as much as this.
Proven experience editing ads for real DTC physical product brands. We want to see work that actually ran and sold something.
Mastery of effects, transitions and sound design, not just cutting and captions.
A feel for short form: you know what makes someone stop, watch, rewatch and share.
Range across cinematic and direct response styles, or world class in one of them.
Fast turnaround without dropping the standard.
Organized and reliable: you label and store files properly, hit deadlines and give updates without being chased.
Bonus:
Experience editing for sports, gaming or toy brands.
Benefits
Competitive pay of up to $50 USD per hour. Where you land depends on your experience and portfolio.
Part-time role with flexible hours.
Ongoing work with real room to grow. For the right editor, there's a constant flow of work as the brand launches new products.
Creative ownership over how the brand's products look and sound on screen, as part of a company in a high-growth phase.
100% remote work flexibility from anywhere.
Collaborate with creators and an ambitious e-commerce team.

FP Markets Group of Companies
is a well-established multi-regulated broker, founded in Australia, offering traders access to CFD trading on Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Paid Social & Mobile App Growth Manager.
You will own two of our biggest growth levers: paid social across web and app, and mobile app growth from install to first-time deposit (FTD). Sitting in the Growth Team (Global Paid Growth), you will set strategy, run a multi-channel budget and decide each month where spend goes, web sign-ups or app installs, based on cost per FTD and return on ad spend (ROAS). You will own the numbers from impression to FTD and beyond.
How success is measured
Leads and FTDs from paid social (web) and from the app, by source and region.
Cost per install, cost per registration and CPA per FTD against target, by region and platform.
Install-to-FTD conversion rate.
30 / 90-day ROAS on web and app cohorts.
Spend within the approved monthly budget.
App store conversion rate (page view to install), keyword rankings and average rating.
Responsibilities
Strategy and budget
Own the paid social and mobile app acquisition strategy, budget and forecast across all target regions.
Decide each month how spend splits between web and app objectives, based on cost per FTD, ROAS and install-to-FTD conversion.
Manage monthly budget pacing with Marketing Operations, reallocating spend weekly based on CPA, ROAS and cohort quality, and report performance against objectives.
Paid social (web and app)
Plan, launch and optimise paid campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn and Reddit, for both web leads and app installs.
Own account structure, audiences, bidding and campaign naming across all paid social platforms.
Optimise beyond installs and leads to registration, KYC completion and FTD, using value-based and event-based bidding.
Run a continuous creative testing programme with the Creative and Content teams: briefs (video, playables, static, store assets), variants, learnings and fatigue tracking.
Mobile app acquisition
Plan, launch and optimise app install and in-app event campaigns across Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns (UAC) and selected programmatic / mobile ad network partners.
Source, onboard and manage app networks and agencies, with strict fraud controls.
ASO and organic app growth
Own App Store and Google Play optimisation: keyword research, metadata, screenshots, preview videos and localisation for priority languages.
Run store-listing experiments (Google Play Experiments, Apple Product Page Optimisation) and Custom Product Pages aligned to paid campaigns.
Grow ratings and reviews through in-app prompts and review management.
Drive web-to-app and cross-channel installs with SEO, Content, CRM and Partnerships (IB/affiliate) teams, including deep links and QR flows.
Measurement and attribution
Own mobile measurement through our MMP (AppsFlyer): SDK events, deep links, SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit, Google Privacy Sandbox for Android, and UTM / tracking-link standards.
Keep web (Meta Pixel / Conversions API) and app (MMP) attribution aligned and deduplicated, so paid social results are counted once.
Work with Data Engineering on cohort, CAC, LTV, ARPU and ROAS reporting (30- and 90-day) that ties installs and sign-ups to FTD and net deposits.
Keep event tracking, postbacks and attribution windows accurate across all partners.
Funnel and conversion
Partner with Product and Dev on onboarding, KYC and first-deposit flows in the app to lift install-to-FTD conversion.
Work with the CRM & Lifecycle manager (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) on push, in-app and email journeys for new app users.
Compliance
Ensure all ads and app store assets meet the requirements of each regulator (ASIC, CySEC, FSCA and others), platform ad policies for financial products, and Apple / Google app store guidelines, including risk warnings and country restrictions.
Out of scope
Organic social and community (Discord, Reddit communities, Telegram), owned by the Organic Social & Community Growth Manager.
Candidate profile
Must have
4+ years in paid acquisition, covering both paid social (Meta, TikTok and at least one other platform) and mobile app user acquisition.
Proven experience in online retail trading (FX/CFDs), iGaming or crypto: you understand regulated, high-CPA acquisition, deposit-driven funnels and the ad-platform restrictions these verticals face.
Hands-on ownership of a multi-channel paid budget of USD 250k+ a month.
Hands-on experience with Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, MetaAds, LinkedIn, X and ASO, with proven results on both App Store and Google Play as well as driving Web/Desktop Leads and FTDs
Deep working knowledge of an MMP (AppsFlyer preferred), SKAdNetwork, post-ATT measurement and deep linking, plus Meta Pixel / Conversions API.
Strong analytical skills: cohort analysis, LTV modelling, incrementality thinking and ROAS-based budget decisions; comfortable in Excel / Google Sheets and BI dashboards.
Experience optimising to down-funnel events (registration, deposit), not just clicks or installs.
A track record of running structured creative testing at scale.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice to have
Experience with programmatic and mobile ad networks.
Experience with Snapchat, Reddit and other social or new ad channels such as ChatGPT.
Knowledge of financial-promotion rules (ASIC, CySEC, FSCA) and Apple / Google policies for financial apps.
SQL or BigQuery; familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
A second language relevant to our key markets (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Thai or Vietnamese).
Personal attributes
Commercial and numbers-driven: you decide on cost per FTD, not clicks or installs.
Comfortable owning a large budget and explaining every euro of it.
A fast tester who learns from failures and scales winners quickly.
Collaborative with Creative, Product, CRM and Data Engineering.
Our offer
A welcoming, young and multicultural team with approachable leadership.
Real autonomy over a large growth budget, and the chance to contribute to a dynamic business in a growth phase.
Support for your ideas and room to put your expertise into the company's best practices.
Continuous personal development, a training and development budget, growth with the company and the opportunity to learn from industry leaders.
Competitive remuneration, regular salary reviews and performance-based incentive schemes.
A vibrant company life: from team activities to global celebrations.

About Us
Since 2013, we’ve been building a CRM that gets out of your way and helps your team sell more, faster. Now we’re building AI into every part of it, so Close does the busywork and your team does the selling. No manual data entry, no 10-click workflows. Just communication-first, AI-powered sales software designed to help you succeed and scale.
We're bootstrapped and profitable which means we answer to our customers and play by our rules. We're proud of our 130-person, 100% remote team, focused on building Close so that no small, scaling business fails because it can't figure out sales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Close is a CRM built around the communication tools sales teams use every day: email, calling, SMS, workflows, reporting, and AI. Underneath that product is a broad technical surface — Python services and a large application backend, a TypeScript and React frontend, public APIs, Docker and Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and integrations with providers that handle sensitive customer data.
Security work happens across it all today, but the ownership is spread across Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security & Trust. We’re hiring our first dedicated Product Security Engineer to make that work systematic. You’ll report to the Backend Platform team manager within EPD (Engineering, Product, and Design), while working across the entire product and infrastructure surface. You’ll find vulnerabilities, determine which findings matter most, and drive them through remediation. Often you’ll fix the problem yourself. Other times you’ll give the owning team a clear reproduction, a practical path forward, and enough context to prioritize correctly.
You’ll analyze code, build proof-of-concepts, test running applications, tune or replace noisy tools, and automate the repetitive parts of vulnerability management. This is not a role where you forward scanner alerts and call the queue managed. Product and application security will be your responsibility. You’ll partner closely with our Infrastructure team on cloud security, access, and secrets, and with our Security & Trust Lead on GRC Engineering https://grc.engineering/, compliance (SOC 2) goals, audits, and corporate security.
This role is a new one at Close. You’ll have significant room to decide where better tooling, clearer ownership, and a small amount of code can reduce the most risk.
OUR STACK
Our backend is primarily Python, with Flask and FastAPI services and TaskTiger https://github.com/closeio/tasktiger and Temporal handling much of our asynchronous work. We expose REST https://developer.close.com/ and GraphQL APIs and store data in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
Our frontend is a large single-page TypeScript application built primarily with React. We bundle with Vite, target modern browsers, and test with Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and Chromatic. The product updates in near real time and uses technologies including WebSockets and WebRTC. Our mobile application is built with React Native.
We build and test Docker images in CI/CD and continuously deploy them to Kubernetes on AWS. Our infrastructure uses managed services including EKS, MSK, and ElastiCache, alongside services running on EC2. Terraform and Ansible automate much of the underlying infrastructure, and our containerized local development environment lets engineers run the full system on their own machines.
For this role, our stack extends beyond simply backend or frontend: browser behavior, frontend state, API authorization, asynchronous processing, data access, third-party integrations, containers, and cloud configuration can all be part of the same attack path.
We love open sourcing our code and ideas on our GitHub https://github.com/closeio and on The Making of Close https://making.close.com/, our behind-the-scenes Product & Engineering blog. Check out our open source projects like SocketShark https://github.com/closeio/socketshark, TaskTiger https://github.com/closeio/tasktiger, LimitLion https://github.com/closeio/limitlion and ciso8601 https://github.com/closeio/ciso8601.
AI is both how we build and what we ship, and that's reshaped what engineering looks like. This is a transformation we’re embracing and find deeply exciting.
YOU ARE
- An application security engineer who writes code. You can move from reading an unfamiliar code path, to reproducing an exploit, to proposing or shipping a production-quality fix. Strong Python or TypeScript experience would be especially useful; fluency across both backend and frontend systems is even better.
- Skilled at finding vulnerabilities conventional scanners may miss. You use modern AI-assisted review pipelines, guided by expert judgment, to uncover subtle flaws in web apps and APIs—from authentication, authorization, and tenant isolation to injection, SSRF, unsafe data flows, and business logic. You can threat-model designs, white-box review code, and test running systems.
- Offensive-minded and operationally responsible. You know how to test like an attacker without being careless with customer data or production systems. You can turn a finding into a safe reproduction, assess exploitability and business impact, and retest the eventual fix.
- An automation builder. You have worked with some mix of SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, container scanning, secrets scanning, or cloud posture tooling. More importantly, you know how to tune tools, connect them to engineering workflows, and remove noise.
- AI-native and accountable. You use coding agents and LLMs to accelerate investigation, code review, and repetitive engineering work, but you verify their output. You think carefully about what happens when agents clone untrusted code, install dependencies, or receive access to credentials.
- Able to separate severity from priority. A score is an input, not a foregone conclusion. You consider reachability, existing controls, customer impact, and attack chains, then explain the risk in language that is legible to an engineer or business owner.
- Comfortable working across the business. You’ll collaborate with product engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Security & Trust Lead, auditors, and external researchers without confusing partnership for pass-off ownership. You will follow findings to closure even when another team is responsible for the fix.
- Self-directed in a remote environment. You can take an ambiguous surface (say, secret rotation or dependency remediation) and learn how it works across multiple systems then turn it into a practical plan with measurable progress.
You do not need to arrive as the deepest expert in every part of this scope. You do need to be able to investigate an unfamiliar system, determine what matters, and bring the right people with you.
YOU WILL
The work spans hands-on application security, security automation, vulnerability management, and infrastructure partnership. Depending on where you find the greatest risk and leverage, projects could include:
- Build a recurring product security review program. Threat model new features, audit high-risk areas, review code, and build safe proof-of-concepts in isolated development environments. Work across our backend, frontend, APIs, and customer-facing integrations.
- Improve application security testing. Combine static analysis, dependency and secrets scanning, dynamic testing in development, and carefully scoped production testing. Use existing tools where they fit and build focused automation where they don’t.
- Own vulnerability intake and remediation. Triage findings from HackerOne, scanners, penetration tests, audits, customers, and internal research. Reproduce issues, assess exploitability and impact, track remediation, and verify fixes. Serve as technical lead for our bug bounty program while contract and budget ownership remain elsewhere.
- Turn security alerts into useful engineering work. Verify scanner coverage and automate ingestion, deduplication, enrichment, prioritization, and routing—so teams spend less time interpreting alerts and more time fixing important issues.
- Make dependency remediation safer and less manual. Improve scanning across our Python and TypeScript codebases, then build workflows to assess upgrades, stage pull requests, run checks, and route work without exposing credentials to untrusted packages or build steps.
- Make secrets routinely rotatable. Partner with service owners and Infrastructure to inventory application secrets, add graceful rotation paths, document provider-specific runbooks, and automate rotation where the provider and risk justify it. Expand our use of Vault-backed dynamic credentials and reduce the number of rotations that require a coordinated fire drill.
- Strengthen AWS security with Infrastructure. Evaluate and improve automated detection of risky configuration across identity, networking, compute, storage, containers, and registries. Turn findings into secure defaults, just-in-time access patterns, infrastructure guardrails, and actionable remediation—not build a second Infrastructure team.
- Support audits and raising the security floor. Partner with Security & Trust on external assessments, provide technical context, and ensure findings are fixed rather than rediscovered. Along the way, create documentation, paved roads, and lightweight training that helps engineers make safer choices without waiting for a security review.
- Take a key technical role in security incident response. Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure to coordinate investigation, containment, and remediation. Contribute to root-cause analysis and follow-up improvements, translating lessons learned into stronger controls and reduced recurrence.
Tech you’ll touch: Python, TypeScript, React, Flask, FastAPI, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Vault, GitHub Actions, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch and the security tooling you help us choose.
BENEFITS
- Compensation: Competitive pay plus an organization-wide goal-based bonus
- Paid Time Off: ~5 weeks of PTO to start. Plus a 1-week all-company Winter Holiday Break and paid US holidays. You'll earn 2 extra days for every year you're with Close.

$215,000 to $240,000 base plus bonus and equity
What You’ll Do:
Huntress is building an Agentic SOC. When our detection pipeline raises a signal, an LLM-based agent picks it up and investigates it end-to-end. It gathers telemetry across our products, reconstructs what happened, and makes a well-documented determination about whether the activity is malicious. Over time, it will take on more of the work itself, growing from resolving routine cases to acting fast when it finds an attack and handing analysts cases with the evidence already assembled. We’re hiring a Principal Software Engineer to head this effort.
The telemetry the system reads comes from environments in which attackers are actively operating. Because the system makes real decisions, like closing an investigation or isolating a host, it has to be right, it has to show its work, and it has to know when to hand off to a person.
As the technical lead, you’ll own the system’s architecture and direction. That means deciding how an investigation is structured, where deterministic code ends and model reasoning begins, what the agent can and can’t touch, how we know it’s working, and which decisions it makes on its own as it proves itself. You’ll work closely with SOC analysts, detection engineers, product, and other engineering teams. You’ll go deep in the code and help the engineers around you grow. Your work will directly shape how Huntress scales
protection for the 99%
.
We make full use of AI coding tools to enable you to accelerate your development. We don’t cap token usage. We expect you to use AI and all tools responsibly.
Responsibilities:
Own the architecture of agentic investigation. You help define how signals move from detection into investigation, how investigation state is managed, how tools are designed and exposed to agents, and what a finished investigation contains: the verdict, the timeline, the scope, and the evidence behind every claim. When the team is stuck between options, you make the call, and the foundations you set are what others build on for years.
Build agents that investigate like a strong analyst. You work alongside our SOC and product researchers to learn how experienced analysts actually triage and investigate, then turn that into agent behavior: which questions to ask, which evidence to gather, when to dig deeper, and when to stop and hand off to a human.
Take toil off analysts’ plates. Beyond full investigations, you build LLM-powered pre-processing for the tools and data sources analysts rely on every day. It summarizes, correlates, and highlights what matters, so analysts spend their time on judgment instead of assembly.
Bring a security mindset to the agent itself. The agent reads attacker-influenced data, runs across thousands of customer tenants, and can take action in customer environments. You design as if someone is trying to manipulate it, because someone will. Trust boundaries, tenant isolation, and auditability are part of the architecture from the start.
Treat evaluation as a core part of the product. You define how we measure whether an investigation is correct, well-reasoned, and well-documented, and you make sure no prompt, model, or tool changes without evidence that it helps.
Decide with data what the system does on its own. Based on measured performance, you decide where it acts autonomously, where a person reviews its work, and how that changes over time. You also recognize when a problem doesn’t need an agent at all.
Build for production, not for demos. You design for reliability, latency, and cost at scale. The system keeps working when models are slow, wrong, unavailable, or quietly changed underneath you, and anyone can trace exactly why an investigation reached its conclusion or why an action was taken.
Augment analysts, don’t replace them. You design the handoff between agent and analyst so that when a case reaches a person, the agent’s work makes them faster and better informed. You consider how analysts’ work changes as agents take on more of it, and how we explain agent decisions to partners and customers in a way they can trust.
Prototype your way through hard problems. When the team hits something genuinely uncertain, you dig in first: derisk it, prove out the approach, then hand it off clearly.
Be the engineering face of the Agentic SOC. In conversations with SOC leadership, other engineering teams, product, and executives, you represent the team’s technical perspective clearly and credibly. You drive alignment on key decisions, carry context in both directions, and protect the team from unclear scope.
Balance technical rigor with pragmatism. You push back when a shortcut creates real risk, and you also push back on over-engineering when the goal is discovery. You have a bias for action and frequent feedback from analysts and customers, and you can explain your tradeoffs to engineers and non-engineers alike.
Raise the floor and the ceiling. Your technical leadership is measured by how the whole team performs, not just by what you personally ship. That shows up in thoughtful code review, pairing on problems others are stuck on, and creating leverage through better patterns, tooling, and shared understanding. You partner with the engineering manager on team health, give direct feedback, and model the judgment and accountability you want the team to have.
What You Bring To The Team:
15+ years of experience developing complex software products, including significant time as the technical lead on production systems
Hands-on experience designing, shipping, and operating LLM-based agents in production, covering tool use, context management, structured output, guardrails, and evaluation, along with a clear-eyed understanding of how they fail
A track record of building evaluation for non-deterministic systems, such as labeled datasets, offline evals, and regression gates, and of measuring quality over time rather than at launch
A security mindset: experience building systems that handle untrusted input, enforce multi-tenant isolation, and produce an audit trail that holds up under scrutiny
Experience building systems that make automated decisions with real consequences, and the judgment to know what to automate and what to leave to people
Curiosity about how security analysts think and work, and a willingness to spend real time learning from them
Deep backend expertise in distributed systems, queues, and durable workflows, and concurrency, with a track record of designing for throughput and correctness under load
Strong skills in one or more backend languages and the ability to pick up new ones quickly. Our primary stack is Ruby on Rails, and we expect you to become fluent in it
Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments, and with data stores such as Postgres and Redis
Familiarity with endpoint and identity telemetry and with attacker tradecraft
Experience attacking or adversarially testing ML or LLM systems
Experience with Ruby on Rails
