WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
You are the face of People Operations for ICEYE in Portugal and the first line of defence for all country-specific people matters. ICEYE's Global HR Operations team (the second line) designs the global frameworks, tools and data standards; you own their local tailoring and practical execution — while ICEYE Portugal builds two very different organisations at once: a Lisbon Center of Excellence hiring software, AI and space engineers, and a satellite production facility ramping manufacturing, integration and test teams through 2027. Your mission: ICEYErs in Portugal are engaged and supported so they can deliver better business results.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee experience & local HR operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local employees on benefits, policies and employee lifecycle events, providing timely and accurate responses in line with global standards.
- Handle individual cases for relocation and onboarding, including preparation of local employment contracts and country-specific documentation.
- Manage local third-party HR providers (payroll vendor, benefit brokers) and the local practicalities of off-boarding, meeting all legal requirements and exit procedures.
- Act as the first point of contact for standard employee relations cases, handling practicalities locally and consulting Global HR Operations on complex issues.
Payroll, data & compliance
- Audit payroll data in the HRIS and ensure accurate local processing in collaboration with the in-house team and the local payroll vendor.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and related systems: data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with local and global data privacy regulations.
- Stay on top of Portuguese employment law — including the specifics of an industrial site (shifts, safety-adjacent policies, collective frameworks where applicable) — and keep all HR activity compliant, with clear documentation of local processes and policies.
- Coordinate the personnel security clearance process with the local security officer for roles that require it.
Global alignment & people programmes
- Act as the go-to person for the CEO on HR matters, escalating complex issues to the Global HR team when necessary.
- Tailor and execute global frameworks locally — levels, salary bands, performance management, wellbeing, L&D — so they work for both the Center of Excellence and the factory population.
- Identify opportunities to automate local HR tasks with Global HR Operations, adapting global ways of working to local legal standards while preserving ICEYE's culture.
- Assist managers and leads as the organisation adds its first layers of management.
Talent Attraction
- Act as the bridge between the global Talent Attraction team and local hiring needs in Portugal: oversee local TA processes, keep hiring moving at the right speed and step in with hands-on support when needed.
- Support local employer brand building and the channels that feed it, including university partnerships and the local tech and industrial talent networks.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience covering both talent acquisition and HR generalist/business partner work.
- Strong working knowledge of Portuguese labour law, local benefits and market HR practice, with a track record of creating compliant HR policy documentation.
- A hands-on approach with high attention to detail in contract management, local onboarding and the management of local third-party providers.
- Track record hiring technical/engineering profiles and industrial or manufacturing profiles; you personally source and close candidates.
- Strong analytical skills and high emotional intelligence to handle sensitive individual employee relations cases, with the wisdom to escalate complex issues.
- Comfort with HRIS (e.g., HiBob) and ticketing systems, using data to audit payroll and maintain source-of-truth records.
- Exceptional communication in Portuguese and English, able to bridge global ICEYE standards with local needs and influence both local leadership and the global team.
- A proactive, service-oriented mindset that stays effective in a fast-scaling environment, adapting global policies to local contexts without losing speed.
Nice to haves:
- Experience taking a site from roughly 20 to 100+ people.
- HR experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defence or another clearance-relevant industry.
- Experience introducing or running HRIS and ATS tooling in a growing company.
- AI-native sourcing, screening and HR-automation practices.

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior/Staff Data Scientist to join our growing Data team and serve as a strategic analytics partner across Render. As we scale, we're tackling increasingly complex questions across our product, customers, and business, from how developers discover and adopt Render, to what drives engagement and retention, to how we prioritize investments and identify new opportunities for growth.
You'll partner with leaders and teams across Product, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other functions, focusing on some combination of data analytics, analytics engineering, machine learning, and experimentation based on your strengths, interests, and Render's highest-priority needs. You'll turn ambiguous questions into rigorous analysis, define how we measure success, and translate complex data into decisions and action.
As a Senior/Staff-level individual contributor, you'll also help set the standard for analytics at Render, shaping our measurement frameworks, analytical practices, and how teams across the company use data to make better decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as a strategic analytics partner. Work closely with leaders and cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other teams to identify high-impact questions, frame decisions, and determine how success should be measured.
- Define meaningful metrics and measurement frameworks. Develop the KPIs and frameworks teams use to understand performance across areas such as acquisition, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, expansion, and customer outcomes.
- Turn data into strategy. Surface patterns across our users, customers, products, and business. Identify opportunities, diagnose friction, and help teams determine where to invest and what to prioritize.
- Shape our approach to experimentation and evaluation. Design and analyze experiments where appropriate, develop guardrail metrics and other methods for evaluating initiatives, and help teams choose the right analytical approach for the decision at hand.
- Build measurement into how we work. Partner with teams to define instrumentation and measurement plans early, ensuring new products, programs, and initiatives can be evaluated reliably after launch.
- Build trusted analytical foundations. Build and maintain dbt models, semantic and context layers in partnership with Analytics Engineering, transforming behavioral and business data into reliable datasets that support decision-making across Render.
- Raise the bar for analytics. Establish analytical best practices, improve how teams use data in decision-making, and mentor scientists and cross-functional partners on measurement, experimentation, and data literacy.
- Help shape the future of analytics at Render. Explore how AI-assisted tools can make analytics faster and more accessible while maintaining a high bar for accuracy, context, and analytical judgment.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years of analytics experience, with a track record of shaping strategy and influencing decisions across complex or ambiguous problem spaces.
- Strong business and product judgment. You can take an ambiguous question, identify what really needs to be understood, and determine the right analytical approach to inform a decision.
- Experience defining and using metrics across some combination of Product, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, or other business domains, for example acquisition, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, expansion, or revenue.
- Strong SQL skills. Writing complex, efficient SQL and independently exploring large datasets is a core part of how you work.
- Experience using experimentation, statistical analysis, or other rigorous evaluation methods to understand impact, along with judgment about when each approach is appropriate.
- Experience with modern analytics tooling such as Metabase, Mixpanel, dbt, BigQuery, Segment, and Git.
- A track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders without direct authority. You're comfortable challenging assumptions, creating clarity from ambiguity, and driving alignment around what the data says.
- Excellent communication skills. You can turn complex analysis into a clear narrative, explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and build the relationships necessary to drive action.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding or analytics tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code to accelerate analysis, data modeling, instrumentation, or visualization.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Expertise in statistical methods beyond traditional A/B testing, such as causal inference, cohort and survival analysis, or time-series analysis.
- Experience with developer-focused, product-led, sales-led, or usage-based businesses.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, PaaS, developer tooling, or other technically complex products.
- Experience analyzing multi-product or multi-segment businesses and understanding behavior across interconnected customer journeys.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
- Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.
- Continuous learning benefits & related support.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Supplier Security & Assurance (SSA) team sits within Security GRC and is responsible for assessing the security of our suppliers: evaluating whether vendors meet our security requirements, capturing the deviations, and giving the business a clear approval decision it can act on. We assess the vendor population a frontier AI lab actually depends on: SaaS and software, human data operations, compute and data center providers, hardware suppliers, and services firms. The program is designed agent-first so that people spend their time on judgment, remediation, and the vendors that matter most.
As a member of the Supplier Security & Assurance team you will run supplier security assessments end to end: reviewing evidence, verifying agent-drafted evaluations, determining inherent and residual risk, and driving findings to closure with vendors and business owners. You will also carry the work that extends assurance past the approval, from contractual security terms and secure configuration baselines to continuous monitoring and reassessment, and you will help shape the tooling and requirements the program runs on.
Key responsibilities
Run supplier security assessments: review agent-prefilled outputs, evaluate vendor controls and evidence, determine residual risk, route to domain reviewers where deeper assessment is warranted
Operate supplier issue management and risk treatment: document each finding with a severity, an owner, and a due date, drive remediation with the vendor and the business owner, record risk acceptances, and roll open issues up to the risk register
Run continuous monitoring after approval: reopen an assessment on defined triggers (data classification change, new SOC 2 report, new subprocessor, vendor incident), investigate SaaS configuration, data, and use case drift signals, and queue a reassessment where the vendor's scope has moved
Improve the program as you run it: identify gaps in coverage, questionnaires, requirements, and tooling that surface during assessments, propose the fix, and carry roadmap items that mature supplier security overall
Tune and maintain our Claude-powered assessment platform alongside the team: prompt development, questionnaire and assessment type design, calibration against assessor decisions, and output QA
Contribute to KPI and KRI reporting on coverage, cycle time, residual risk, open issues, and reassessments due
Minimum qualifications
Experience running supplier security assessments end to end at a technology company: scoping the engagement, determining inherent risk, reviewing controls and evidence, documenting residual risk, and driving findings to closure
Working knowledge of risk fundamentals (inherent and residual risk, control effectiveness, compensating controls, risk acceptance) and the judgment to apply them when the evidence is incomplete or the answer isn't in a framework

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

About the role
We are hiring a National Security Partnerships Lead to grow and manage our relationships with the U.S. Intelligence Community and with allied intelligence and security services. You will report to the Head of National Security Policy and advise company leadership on intelligence and allied-partner matters.

You will also engage U.S. and foreign government officials on the policy frameworks that guide the international distribution and deployment of Anthropic's models.
You will own a portfolio of government partnerships end to end: setting the agenda with senior counterparts, structuring the agreements and channels that govern each relationship, and bringing partner requirements and concerns back into Anthropic's policy, product, research, and safeguards decisions. You will work closely with our public sector sales, legal, security, and threat intelligence teams.
Key responsibilities
Lead Anthropic's strategic engagement with U.S. Intelligence Community elements and allied intelligence and security services.

Engage U.S. and foreign government officials on the national security implications of the international distribution and deployment of Anthropic's models, and advise company leadership on partner equities in those decisions.
Partner with federal affairs, international policy, communications, and marketing on national security matters, including engagement with the Executive Branch and Congress.
Travel regularly within the U.S. and to allied countries.
Minimum qualifications
Substantial experience in national security, including work in or with the Intelligence Community.
Direct experience managing relationships with foreign partner governments or services.
An active TS/SCI clearance, or one held within the last two years, and the ability to obtain and maintain it.
Experience negotiating formal agreements or partnerships between governments, or between government and industry.
A working understanding of how intelligence organizations operate, including classification, liaison relationships, and how they adopt new technology, and the ability to get things done within those constraints.
The ability to brief senior policymakers and officials clearly, and to explain technical subjects without overstating them.
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical, sales, policy, trust and safety, legal, security, product, research, and communications.
Demonstrated interest and experience in a complex technical subject, ideally AI, though defense technology, cybersecurity, or similar fields also count.
