An overview of this role
As the Director of Regional Sales for France, you'll take ownership of building and leading our Italian sales presence. You'll drive revenue growth, implement disciplined sales processes and technology, and partner across account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll report to the VP of Sales and balance hands-on field leadership with strategic vision. You'll stay close to key accounts, develop your sales team, and expand our client base. In this role, you'll be passionate about open source software, drive repeatable sales processes, and influence GitLab's growth by establishing disciplined go-to-market strategies, developing sales talent, and executing against ambitious bookings targets in France.
What you’ll do
Lead the growth of GitLab's business in France, taking ownership for building the country plan, pipeline discipline, and day-to-day execution to achieve or exceed quarterly bookings and ARR growth targets.
Manage, coach, and develop a small team of Account Executives, staying close to the field, joining customer meetings, and modeling hands-on, high-activity sales behaviour.
Drive new logo acquisition across a broad base of medium-sized Italian businesses while shaping a long-term strategy to engage larger accounts.
Build GitLab’s reputation in the Italian market by partnering with marketing, business development, and local networks to generate pipeline and increase market awareness.
Establish clear operating rhythms, sales processes, and methodologies that bring structure, organization, and accountability to the team without losing agility.
Collaborate with regional sales leaders and cross-functional partners across account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations to align territory coverage, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution across the region.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts at the executive level (CXO and program level), positioning GitLab as a strategic partner and identifying expansion opportunities.
Analyze pipeline, forecast, and performance data to identify gaps and opportunities, adjust plans so the team focuses on the highest-impact activities, and represent the Italian business internally by sharing insights on market trends, customer needs, and resource requirements to inform regional strategy.
What you’ll bring
Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams, ideally within France, with a focus on coaching and developing talent.
Ability to design and execute a country go-to-market plan, including pipeline generation discipline, territory coverage, and disciplined deal execution.
Strength in balancing hands-on field work with strategic leadership, staying close to customers while managing day-to-day operations.
Familiarity with B2B software or technology sales and open source/DevSecOps concepts, with enthusiasm for learning GitLab’s platform and building long-term market presence.
Skills in creating structure, setting clear expectations, and driving organized, data-informed sales processes, including use of MEDDPICC or similar methodologies.
Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to create trust and empathy with both customers and GitLab team members at all levels.
Comfort operating in a dynamic, growth-focused, all-remote environment, acting as a self-directed “manager of one” and using Salesforce.com or similar CRM and marketing automation systems to build trackable, repeatable sales processes.
About the team
You’ll join a regional sales organization focused on growing GitLab’s presence across France, working closely with Account Executives and cross-functional partners in account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations. The team is all-remote and collaborates asynchronously across time zones to build pipeline, manage complex sales cycles, and deliver consistent customer experiences. You’ll help shape how we organize coverage, implement disciplined sales processes, and bring structure to a high-growth region while staying aligned with global sales strategy and GitLab’s values of transparency, collaboration, and results.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Partner Sales Director for the Indian and ASEAN market. This is a high-energy, relationship-driven professional who can accelerate revenue by driving partner-sourced and partner-influenced sales across the region.
This is a quota-carrying role responsible for working hand-in-hand with our field sales teams and strategic partners, including hyperscalers, system integrators (SIs), channel partners, and ISV/OEM partners, to identify, influence, and close new opportunities. You’ll also play a key role in expanding and deepening our partnerships (especially regional SIs), helping source new opportunities, develop joint solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales instincts, partnership acumen, and executive presence. We are looking for someone who can think strategically while executing rigorously to deliver incremental revenue and pipeline growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and deliver against a regional revenue quota for partner-sourced and partner-influenced bookings.
- Collaborate closely with the India & ASEAN field sales teams to integrate partners into key account strategies and deal cycles.
- Build and execute strong joint sales motions with hyperscalers, SIs, ISVs, OEMs, and channel partners to expand ClickHouse’s reach and accelerate pipeline.
- Serve as the primary partner sales interface for India and ASEAN, ensuring alignment between regional sellers, partners’ field teams, and global partner programs.
- Develop and execute joint account plans, campaigns, and demand-generation activities with priority partners.
- Drive joint forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting to ensure partner contributions are tracked and recognized.
- Identify, onboard, and develop strategic system integrator (SI) partnerships that can both source new opportunities and deliver successful implementations.
- Define joint GTM plays, delivery frameworks, and enablement paths to ensure scalable, repeatable customer success.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive SI delivery readiness and certification.
- Work closely with the global and regional Partner, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of partner strategy, programs, and field execution.
- Collaborate with Product and Solutions Engineering to support partner-led projects, and proof-of-concepts.
- Serve as the voice of the ASEAN/India partner ecosystem, providing feedback and insights to shape ClickHouse’s broader partner strategy.
- Maintain accurate partner pipeline data, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key partners and internal stakeholders.
- Continuously refine partner engagement models based on data-driven insights and field feedback.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced Sales & Partnerships Professional: 10+ years in enterprise software sales, channel sales, or strategic alliances; ideally in cloud, data, or analytics space.
- Quota-Carrying Performer: Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets through partner ecosystems.
- Partner-Savvy: Deep understanding of hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, Azure), SI, and channel partner models — including co-sell, marketplace, and resale motions.
- Strategic + Tactical Operator: Can develop GTM strategy and also roll up sleeves to drive execution with field and partner teams.
- Strong Communicator & Influencer: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging both internally and externally at executive levels.
- Relationship Builder: Skilled at navigating complex partner organizations, aligning incentives, and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Self-Starter with Grit: Operates autonomously, thrives in high-growth environments, and drives outcomes without heavy structure.

Who We Are
X-LAB is the in-house performance bicycle line by XDS, which has quietly become the world’s largest and most vertically integrated bicycle manufacturer and the largest maker of carbon fiber frames, supplying many of the top brands in cycling and mobility.
Today, XDS is quiet no more.
XDS launched X-LAB in April 2026 as the global consumer brand to take the industry by storm. Three decades of experience building exceptional bicycles have culminated into a unique line of road, gravel, electric, city, hybrid, and soon mountain bikes that riders and shops can’t stop talking about.
X-LAB is the new inflection point for the category.
We launched in April 2026 with a full lineup across road, gravel, city, fitness, e-bike, and soon mountain categories, with validation from the highest and most demanding levels of the sport through the XDS Astana Team and a rapidly growing network of dealers.
Our ambition is not simply to sell more bikes. It is to make great bikes more integrated, more accessible, and better supported through the independent shops and communities that grow cycling and bring in new riders.
That is what makes this moment exciting.
Joining X-LAB means shaping a company with unmatched production scale, real engineering R&D depth, and the confidence to earn trust… one rider, one dealer, one product, and one market at a time.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Run the monthly and quarterly commission cycle, from pulling data and calculating commissions to validating payouts, getting approvals and handing off to payroll.
- Investigate rep questions, document what you find, recommend fixes, and clear issues quickly so reps trust their payouts.
- Work with Salesforce and data owners to keep source data clean, map new fields and deal types, and find upstream problems before they turn into payout errors.
- Reconcile and audit payouts against payroll, bookings and plan terms every cycle.
- Model the cost and payout impact of proposed plan changes and set up new plans in the system.
- Automate manual steps, tighten SLAs and build reporting on attainment, payout cost and comp effectiveness.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years in sales compensation, commissions operations or a closely related finance/RevOps role.
- A track record of managing commission cycles across multiple regions, currencies, and payroll schedules, from data collection through payout validation, approvals, and payroll handoff.
- Strong analytical skills, including payout modeling, data reconciliation, and investigating discrepancies against compensation plan terms.
- Experience using Salesforce to pull and review sales data for commission calculations.
- Ability to configure sales compensation tools to calculate, validate, and report commission payouts.
- Clear, calm communication with sellers and leaders, including during difficult payout conversations.
EVEN BETTER…
- Familiarity with commission accounting, including accruals, journal entries, and month-end close.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
