The cloud platform underpins how services are built, deployed, secured, and operated across the organization.
As a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will define and drive the governance model and automation strategy for cloud infrastructure. This includes setting policy-as-code standards, automating compliance and cost controls, and ensuring infrastructure is provisioned and operated through consistent, auditable, self-service pathways rather than tailored or manual processes.
You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level and will set direction for how cloud resources are governed and automated while also building the tooling and guardrails that make that direction real. Success in this role means engineering teams can self-service the build and operation of infrastructure with confidence that it is secure, cost-aware, and consistent by default, without slowing delivery down.
What you'll do
Cloud Governance
Define and enforce policy-as-code standards (tagging, naming, encryption, network segmentation, access boundaries) across cloud accounts/subscriptions
Establish guardrails using tools such as OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config/Service Control Policies to report on and prevent drift from approved patterns
Partner closely with Security/IAM to deliver least-privilege enforcement and access-control requirements directly in our self-service capabilities while ensuring compliance and auditability.
Embed cost governance and reporting (budgets, anomaly detection, showback/chargeback) into provisioning workflows
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
Drive the organization's Infrastructure-as-Code standards (e.g., Terraform/Terraform Cloud, Pulumi)
Establish and maintain reusable, versioned modules and contribution standards that embed governance requirements by default.
Automate environment provisioning, drift detection/remediation, and lifecycle management so policy compliance doesn't depend on manual review
Stay ahead of AI-native tooling and bring forward practical opportunities balancing risk, fit, value, measurability, and alignment to company goals.
Platform & Developer Enablement
Develop golden paths for infrastructure provisioning and service deployment that make the guided path the easiest path
Partner on developer platform tooling and integrations (CI/CD, container registries, managed data services, observability) where they intersect with governance and automation.
What you'll bring
Experience & Skills
8+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering, including experience operating at a principal or staff level (setting direction, not just implementing)
Deep experience with major Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ideally across more than one
Deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or Pulumi) at scale, including module design and state/workspace management
Direct experience implementing policy-as-code and cloud governance frameworks
Experience with cloud cost management/FinOps practices and tooling
Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, container registries, and observability tooling as consumers of the standards you build
Exposure to applying AI tooling to infrastructure problems (policy review, anomaly detection, automation) is a plus
Collaboration & Communication
Ability to influence across platform, security, FinOps, and product engineering teams without direct authority
Strong documentation and communication skills; able to make the case for standards to both engineers and leadership
Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction beyond your own immediate team
Experience with platform advocacy, working with partners to understand infrastructure needs in collaboration with Product.

- Support testing, editorial training, and production stabilization.
Digital Asset Management
- Own the design and configuration of digital asset management workflows end-to-end.
- Define image and video metadata structures, taxonomy, credits, captions, source, and rights metadata.

Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.
We are looking for a Video & Streaming Engineer to join a greenfield digital news platform build for a major international news brand. Video is not a feature here — it is the product. The platform is built around an always-on livestream, automated broadcast clip ingestion, and a player architecture that needs to perform reliably under the extreme traffic conditions of breaking-news events.
You'll own the video and streaming layer end-to-end: platform integration, adaptive playback, livestream workflows, newsroom clipping tools, advertising, analytics, and resilience testing ahead of launch.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own video, livestream, and player technical implementation across the platform.
- Integrate the selected video platform and player with the broader content and delivery architecture.
- Implement adaptive bitrate streaming and device-aware playback across web and mobile environments.
- Support livestream and breaking-news streaming workflows — including failover and resilience requirements.
- Implement clipping and newsroom video-processing capabilities for broadcast clip ingestion and editorial use.
- Integrate captions, subtitles, thumbnails, and poster frames.
- Support rights management, availability-window controls, and geoblocking requirements.
- Integrate video advertising and analytics capabilities.
- Implement playback telemetry, error handling, and fallback logic.
- Support load testing, resilience validation, and major-event readiness testing ahead of launch.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience integrating and configuring enterprise video platforms — Brightcove, JW Player, Mux, THEOplayer, or similar.
- Strong understanding of adaptive bitrate streaming — HLS, DASH — and device-aware playback implementation.
- Experience implementing livestream workflows in a production environment.
- Familiarity with video processing concepts — clipping, transcoding, thumbnail generation, caption and subtitle integration.
- Experience integrating video advertising — VAST, VPAID, or similar — and video analytics.
- Ability to implement playback telemetry, error detection, and fallback handling.
- Experience supporting performance and resilience testing for high-traffic video delivery scenarios.
- Strong collaboration skills — able to work across CMS, frontend, and infrastructure teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering video infrastructure for news, media, or broadcast organizations.
- Familiarity with rights management, availability windows, and geoblocking implementation.
- Experience with CDN configuration for video delivery at scale.
- Background working on platforms designed for major-event traffic spikes.
- Familiarity with DRM implementation — Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady.
- Experience with poster frame, chapter marker, and structured metadata workflows for editorial video.
When you join Solvd, you'll…
- Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.
- Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.
- Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.

The Role
Nex is seeking a
Localization Project Manager
based in Europe to support its game and cross-functional localization programs across European markets. This role will provide dedicated project management support to Localization Program Manager and, over time, independently manage a defined set of localization projects from intake through delivery. Text translation, graphic localization, voice-over localization, and LQA will be performed by an external localization vendor; this role is responsible for managing that vendor rather than executing the localization work directly.
The ideal contractor has hands-on localization project management experience, strong communication and tracking skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple localization workflows across games, marketing assets, vendors, linguists, and internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Manage the external localization vendor responsible for text translation, graphic localization, voice-over localization, and LQA, including tracking progress, coordinating handoffs, maintaining schedules, and following up on open items.
Assist Localization Program Manager with localization project planning, execution, and status reporting.
Gradually take ownership of approximately 10 to 20 localization projects end-to-end under Nex’s localization structure and process.
Manage localization requests from teams across Nex—including Marketing, Packaging, PlayOS, and other functions—including intake, prioritization, scheduling, stakeholder communication, handoffs, and delivery tracking.
Maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation in Notion and other agreed systems.
Track project schedules, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and outstanding action items.
Serve as the primary operational contact between internal teams and the external localization vendor, coordinating requirements, deliverables, reviews, feedback, and issue resolution.
Work closely with the vendor to improve localization quality by setting quality expectations, reviewing feedback and LQA findings, identifying recurring issues, and driving corrective actions and process improvements.
Prepare weekly status reports summarizing progress, risks, blockers, and next steps.
Maintain a localization request log and timesheet for approved hours.
Escalate timeline, quality, scope, or dependency risks in a timely manner.
Deliverables
Weekly localization status report
Project schedule tracking
Risk and blocker list
Cross-functional localization request log
Approved timesheet
Other project tracking documents as reasonably requested
What You Bring
Experience managing localization projects, ideally for games, entertainment, software, or digital products.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with localization workflows, including text translation, graphic localization, voice-over localization, review, LQA, handoffs, and delivery management.
Experience managing localization vendors, including schedules, deliverables, quality expectations, feedback, and escalations.
Ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders informed.
Comfortable using Notion, Slack, spreadsheets, and localization platforms or project management tools.
Detail-oriented approach to schedules, deliverables, file tracking, and stakeholder follow-up.
Fluency in English plus German, French, Spanish, or Italian is preferred.
Candidates should be based in Germany, France, Spain, or Italy and be familiar with European localization workflows and market requirements.
Reporting / Point of contact
This role will report to and coordinate primarily with Localization Program Manager, who will provide overall localization direction, priorities, and process guidance. The hiring manager will be based in Japan.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on migrations to join our growing team in India. You will help deliver complex, production-grade data migrations, integrations, and automations for customers across APAC.
This is initially an internally focused, hands-on engineering role. You will partner closely with regional Forward Deployed Engineers, who own customer discovery, solution architecture, stakeholder communication, risk management, and final customer validation. You will own the behind-the-scenes technical execution layer from feasibility assessment and implementation through testing, production rollout, QA, reconciliation, reporting, and operational handoff.
You will work across multiple customer environments and source systems, often with incomplete requirements, imperfect data, and real-world constraints. Success requires strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, careful validation, and the ability to turn one-off delivery work into reusable tools and repeatable playbooks.
As a founding engineer in India, you will help build a new regional engineering capability from the ground up. You will create migration infrastructure, standards, and reusable tooling used by FDEs across APAC, while establishing practices that can scale globally. The role offers an opportunity to become a technical authority for production migration delivery, shaping how Notion approaches reliability, validation, and operational quality across complex customer environments. As the team grows, the role may also expand toward customer-facing FDE work, technical leadership, or a deeper engineering path, depending on business needs and demonstrated capability.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own the technical execution layer after customer requirements, scope, and solution architecture have been established with the regional FDE. Contribute to feasibility assessment, estimation, implementation planning, and risk identification while the regional FDE remains accountable for customer discovery, scope, architecture, stakeholder communication, and final acceptance.
- Apply a repeatable migration lifecycle covering source inventory and sampling, scope and pruning decisions, compatibility and degradation assessment, transformation design, pilot or dry run, user acceptance testing, production cutover, reconciliation, remediation, hypercare, and documented handoff.
- Translate approved customer and regional FDE requirements into clear technical designs, implementation plans, test strategies, runbooks, and delivery estimates.
- Build production-quality migration utilities, backend services, data pipelines, integrations, and automations using Python, SQL, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate source-system behavior, data quality issues, permissions, rate limits, authentication constraints, and edge cases, then recommend practical solutions.
- Design and validate permissions, ownership, and inheritance mappings against the approved migration plan. Make unsupported or ambiguous access requirements explicit, obtain the required decision or approval, and preserve evidence of validation.
- Design migrations for reliability, scale, security, observability, idempotency, failure recovery, and safe reruns.
- Execute migrations only through approved environments, devices, accounts, and tooling. Follow least-privilege access, customer-specific security and data-residency requirements, and approved handling procedures. Do not store customer data in unmanaged local or external systems, and escalate privacy, security, or sovereignty concerns before execution.
- Build validation and reconciliation frameworks that provide clear evidence of migration completeness, accuracy, and exceptions.
- Debug failures across application code, infrastructure, customer data, third-party systems, and the Notion platform, then drive issues through resolution.
- Manage multiple implementation workstreams, dependencies, and priorities while communicating scope, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
- Surface scope changes, unsupported requirements, timeline risks, and material effort increases early. Document assumptions and trade-offs, and escalate with options and a recommended path rather than silently absorbing additional work.
- Maintain an auditable record of scope, decisions, risks, approvals, validation evidence, and customer acceptance criteria in the agreed shared workspace or channel.
- Convert repeated delivery patterns into reusable components, automation, documentation, and playbooks that improve speed, quality, and cost over time.
- Bring field learnings back to Notion's Product and Engineering teams as actionable platform feedback and technical requirements.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in backend engineering, data engineering, integration engineering, implementation engineering, technical consulting, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Working experience with Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data transformation.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Experience owning a production migration, integration, or technical implementation through mapping, transformation, testing, rollout, validation, and handoff.
- Experience taking a technical problem from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Experience with Git, code review, automated testing, release practices, and production deployment.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills across code, data, infrastructure, and external systems.
- Evidence of working on production systems, not only prototypes or proof-of-concept projects.
- Clear written and verbal English communication, with the ability to explain technical decisions, constraints, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High agency and ownership. You are comfortable making progress with incomplete information, challenging assumptions, and escalating with options and a recommendation.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, job orchestration, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with message queues, event-driven systems, distributed-system patterns, retries, concurrency, and rate limits.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, or other observability tools.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS applications, professional services, or large-scale customer implementations.
- Experience migrating large volumes of content or structured data between enterprise platforms.
- Experience with AI or LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with MCP, tool calling, Notion Workers, Custom Agents, or similar extensibility platforms.
- Experience working with distributed global or APAC teams.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
In your first 90 days, you will:
- Learn Notion's migration and implementation ecosystem, engineering standards, and APAC delivery model.
- Establish a productive working rhythm with regional FDE partners.
- Contribute to at least one migration or integration workstream through production delivery.
- Leave behind clear technical documentation, validation evidence, and an operational runbook.
Within your first six months, you will:
- Independently own production migration or integration workstreams from technical design through rollout and handoff.
- Deliver measurable improvements in migration turnaround time, validation quality, delivery cost, or regional FDE execution hours through reusable engineering.
- Help establish repeatable quality controls, code review practices, runbooks, and observability patterns for the India team.
- Demonstrate effective prioritization and communication across multiple concurrent APAC engagements.
- Turn at least one repeated delivery pattern into a reusable tool, component, or playbook that is adopted by a subsequent engagement.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Broker to join our team as part of a critical pilot to launch a P&C broker model at Gusto. You will be essential in evolving Gusto's business insurance channel by acting as a licensed agent to quote and issue business insurance policies with our NEXT Insurance carrier partner. You will use your expertise to provide direct support and an improved experience for small business customers with complex insurance needs, helping to capture meaningfully higher revenue and accelerating the development of our AI Insurance Advisor.
About the Team:
This team is crucial to solving customer experience gaps and optimizing our offline insurance channels. You will be a SME who is part of the "human-in-the-loop" workflows required to train and optimize Gus as an AI insurance advisor. Our collective vision is to be an expert advisor that supports small businesses through every stage of growth, with this pilot being key to establishing our digital insurance agency and licensed agent integration.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
— Make outbound dials to prospective and existing small business clients to assess their complex P&C insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options.
— Quote and issue Property & Casualty policies, primarily with the NEXT Insurance carrier, in our offline sales channel.
— Achieve required daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity expectations.
— Provide human-in-the-loop support to optimize the AI Insurance Advisor, Gus, and assist customers with more complex needs.
— Maintain client relationships, manage policy renewals, and facilitate changes or endorsements to existing policies.
— Act as a trusted liaison between clients and carriers, including assisting clients with reports of losses and claims settlement when necessary.
— Actively work to cross-sell and up-sell additional P&C lines of coverage and strive to achieve monthly production goals for units and/or revenue.
— Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and policy documentation within CRM systems (SFDC workflow).
— Use AI-powered workflows as a core part of how you sell: running assigned tools daily, surfacing friction and inefficiencies as you find them, and collaborating with your team to influence what gets built or improved next.
— Stay current on industry trends, products, regulations, and underwriting guidelines to provide accurate advice and ensure compliance.
Here’s what we're looking for:
Experience in the field:
— Proven experience in insurance sales or brokerage, with coverage level knowledge of commercial P&C products (e.g., Workers' Compensation, BOP, Commercial Auto, E&O).
— 4+ years
Licensing:
— An active Property & Casualty insurance producer’s license
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
— Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and explain complex concepts clearly.
Sales & Negotiation:
— Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a proven ability to meet sales targets.
Technical Proficiency:
— Working knowledge of carrier quoting systems, proficiency in insurance software, and familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce (SFDC).
— Comfortable using AI tools and automation to enhance productivity, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Mindset:
— A demonstrated passion for delivering an incredible customer experience and genuine empathy for small business owners.
Attributes:
— Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and an entrepreneurial ownership mentality to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
AI Fluency:
— Proven, day-to-day experience integrating AI into how you work - across writing, research, prep, and summarization as a core part of your workflow, with a track record of giving clear, useful feedback that helps improve your tools and processes.
Compensation:
— Cash compensation amount for this role is $109,390 to $134,000 OTE for Denver, Atlanta, Chicago & Las Vegas.
— $102,855 to $126,000 OTE for Phoenix.
— Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Work Format:
— Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City.
— Employees based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).
— The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
— When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
Equal Opportunity:
— Gusto is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on legally protected characteristics.
— Committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in the job application process.
Security & Privacy:
— Gusto takes security and protection of personal information seriously.
