ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Database Support Engineer to join our Support Team and help developers unblock complex issues, build more reliably, and get the most out of the Supabase platform. You’ll work closely with customers and engineering, helping us improve product quality and developer experience based on real-world usage.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you’ll:
- Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across Postgres, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, and client libraries.
- Provide consultative, proactive advice to optimize workloads, avoid common pitfalls, and offer tailored advice to our most advanced users.
- Reproduce bugs, isolate root causes, propose workarounds, and escalate to engineering with solid reproduction steps.
- Ask smart, targeted questions that turn incomplete reports into actionable cases.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with users of all levels—especially during high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
- Spot patterns across tickets and recommend improvements to documentation, tooling, and the product itself.
- Mentor junior team members and help raise the overall bar for support quality.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF
- Experience: You have 7+ years in technical support, databases, backend engineering, SRE, or a similar field.
- Postgres Expertise: You know PostgreSQL deeply—autovacuum behavior, WAL growth, long-running transactions, table bloat, and other internals.
- Performance: You’re strong in high-performance SQL and query optimization.
- Troubleshooting: You’re comfortable troubleshooting complex setups, including multi-tenant schema patterns.
- Distributed Systems: You can debug edge functions and understand distributed system behavior when failures get tricky.
- Data Integrity: You’ve handled data migration issues (pg_dump/restore, schema drift, failed migrations) and know how to recover safely.
- Cloud Infrastructure: You have hands-on experience with cloud hosting providers like AWS.
- Technical Environment: You’re comfortable in terminal and Linux environments.
- Mindset: You thrive in high-volume situations and can form/test assumptions quickly.
TIMEZONES & LOGISTICS
- Role: Full-time position.
- Location: Required residence in North or South American time zones (we do not believe in the sustainability of overnight shifts).
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Agent Strategist https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-strategist-your-phd-in-applied-ai, you own how Sierra's AI agents come to life for our customers — from first pilot to a production agent handling thousands of conversations a day. You sit at the intersection of product, building agents and customer-facing work, and stay just as close to the technology as you are to the people you build for. You transform a customer's thorniest, highest-stakes problems into agents that measurably move their business.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle. Take agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, and evaluation, to launch and continuous iteration in production — translating business goals into an agent that outperforms, and tuning relentlessly until it's the best version of itself in the real world. You'll have real ownership and autonomy over the outcome.
- Be the trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers' executives, understand what success actually means to their business, and shape the AI strategy that gets them there.
- Partner with the customer's working teams day to day. Run working sessions, troubleshoot the agent as issues come up, and make the calls that keep the build on track for launch.
- Directly impact product. Surface unmet needs from your customer work, and feed them back to research and platform to shape where Sierra goes next.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are the kinds of projects that strategists on our team have worked on recently:
- Scope and launch a subscription-retention agent for a large telecommunications or media company that consistently outperforms human agents at saving at-risk customers.
- Stand up an agent for a commerce customer that troubleshoots a broken device end-to-end and personalizes product recommendations in the same conversation.
- Redesign the conversation flows for a financial services agent so it can handle complex, regulated interactions — and convert a pilot into a multi-team production deployment. See our financial services blog https://sierra.ai/blog/five-ways-to-use-ai-agents-financial-services for examples.
- Partner with product on a net-new capability — a new agent architecture or self-service tooling — using a live customer as the design partner.
- Define the evaluation and quality bar for a new agent, then use those metrics to drive a measurable lift in outcome https://sierra.ai/blog/outcome-based-pricing-for-ai-agents week over week.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Customer obsession. Genuine energy being in front of customers — understanding their business and needs, thriving in complex organizations, and building trusted relationships.
- Communication. Clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic problem-solving in ambiguity. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems, spot risks early, and adapt as things change fast.
- Technical aptitude. Comfortable engaging directly with technical concepts - reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and following engineering tradeoffs in a design discussion.
- Ownership and delivery. A track record of running multiple complex, high-visibility projects at once and driving them to outcomes.
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production — hands-on with the tools behind them (eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering) — working closely with technical counterparts.
- You've been a founder, founding team member, or operator — you know how to balance craft, ownership, and speed.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience — and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

About the Team
We are Quadcode, a fintech company excelling in financial brokerage activities and delivering advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our flagship product, an internal trading platform, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other brokers.
2 years ago, we launched an ambitious AI project aimed at building a next-generation IDE powered by modern LLM agents — an intelligent environment for software development and design. We’ve successfully reached MVP, completed internal testing, and are now entering the public release stage.
We already have a strong engineering team in place, and now we’re looking for a self-driven, result-oriented Growth Marketing Manager who will take full ownership of marketing for our AI IDE: define the go-to-market strategy, build a consistently growing user acquisition system, and deliver on clear acquisition KPIs.
This is a startup within a stable company — giving you the freedom to directly influence the product, experiment boldly, and implement your ideas with a high degree of autonomy.
Ideally, you have hands-on experience launching and scaling tech products from scratch (especially AI-driven ones), a solid understanding of the AI IDE and developer tooling landscape, experience working closely with developer and AI enthusiast communities, and confidence operating in both English and Russian.
