An overview of this role
As a Technical Program Manager in GitLab’s R&D organization, you’ll lead cross functional initiatives that help teams deliver reliably, efficiently, and at scale. You’ll own programs that cut across multiple product stages and engineering teams, turning strategic priorities into clear plans, aligning stakeholders, and driving progress in an all-remote, asynchronous environment. You’ll use GitLab issues, epics, and handbook-first documentation to create visibility, remove blockers, and keep complex work moving across time zones, while partnering closely with Engineering Leadership at all levels. In your first year, you’ll be expected to independently run a portfolio of programs from scoping through delivery and retrospectives, and to improve how R&D programs operate by contributing to and evolving Technical Program Management best practices.
What you’ll do
Lead 1–3 strategic technical programs at a time spanning multiple engineering teams and product stages, ensuring clear scope, priorities, and outcomes.
Partner with engineering leaders and other key stakeholders to align on goals, timelines, and delivery milestones for cross functional initiatives.
Own end-to-end program planning and execution, from initial discovery and scoping through delivery, measurement, and retrospectives.
Drive asynchronous collaboration using GitLab issues, epics, and handbook updates so globally distributed teams stay aligned and informed.
Identify risks and blockers early, coordinate resolution across teams, and escalate when needed to maintain momentum.
Facilitate working group meetings and async discussions to support decision-making, surface tradeoffs, and keep programs on track.
Track and communicate program health through metrics, dashboards, and regular status updates to provide visibility to the Engineering Division and partners.
Contribute to evolving Technical Program Management practices by documenting processes, sharing learnings, and improving how R&D programs run across GitLab.
What you’ll bring
Experience in technical program management, project management, software engineering, or similar technical roles.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile ways of working, including how engineering teams plan, build, and ship.
Skill in coordinating programs across multiple engineering teams or departments, aligning stakeholders on goals, timelines, and milestones.
Strong written communication skills for asynchronous, documentation-first collaboration in a fully remote environment.
Ability to work independently in a distributed setting, set priorities, and make progress with minimal supervision.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying blockers, and proposing practical solutions to keep programs moving.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or platforms like GitLab, with interest in deepening this knowledge over time.
Openness to learning, iterating based on feedback, and applying transferable skills from varied backgrounds to technical program management.
About the team
You’ll join the R&D organization as part of the Technical Program Management function, a small, cross-functional team that leads high-impact programs spanning multiple product stages and departments. The team focuses on driving clarity, alignment, and predictable delivery for complex initiatives that touch many parts of GitLab, using a handbook-first, asynchronous way of working with stakeholders across regions and time zones. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and partners in other functions to improve how programs are planned, executed, and communicated, helping evolve shared practices, templates, and tooling for program governance across R&D.

About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own institutional partner products such as Custody, Brokerage, and Fees & Incentive Programs (including MM/MT structures, VIP tiering, and rebate frameworks). Final scope will weigh your background, but the mandate is consistent: build institutional-grade products that compete on infrastructure, economic design, and reliability — and translate that into measurable growth in client adoption, trading volume, and revenue. You will partner with engineering, operations, sales, compliance, and external service providers to ship complex changes that institutional counterparties trust and rely on.
What You’ll Be Doing
Clearly define product direction and roadmaps for Custody OES, drive its evolution and turn client and partner requirements into shipped features. Grow the client and partner base. Optimize operations through self-service portals and process automation.
Own the fee schedule and incentive programs (MM/MT, VIP tiers, rebates), balancing market dynamics, competitor moves, and institutional needs against company strategy, revenue, and competitive position. Build and continuously evolve AI agents for competitor intel, liquidity analysis, fee and rebate simulation, and program operations.
Own the commercial logic of your product lines. Build ROI-grounded business cases for product and partnership investments; quantify revenue and AUM impact to drive prioritisation;
Articulate strategy, progress, and trade-offs to internal leadership and external institutional clients.
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, compliance, and legal to ship complex changes. Navigate multi-jurisdictional regulatory constraints (HK, SG, EU, US) and balance trade-offs between speed, scalability, and compliance.
What We Look For In You
PM experience at a crypto exchange on Custody OES, or at a custody, or background from traditional finance on Collateral / Tri-party / CCP solutions. Deep market knowledge and an end-to-end grasp of how counterparties, custody, execution, and settlement connect.
Solid understanding of liquidity dynamics and how institutional crypto markets actually work. Prior hands-on experience managing fee schedules or designing incentive programs (MM/MT, VIP tiers, rebates) is a strong plus.
Proven experience of leading strategic business reviews, facilitating on-site requirement discovery, and converting client feedback into prioritized product initiatives. Strong track record of partnering with Sales, BD, and Relationship Management teams in a B2B institutional setting.
Proven ability to bring structure and clarity to complex problems, align senior stakeholders across functions, and drive decisions and execution. Able to communicate complex strategies and trade-offs with clarity and influence, producing high-quality strategy documents, product plans, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations. Demonstrated effectiveness leading and influencing globally distributed teams across time zones and diverse cultural contexts.
Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools for market research and product operations. Building automated workflows, using AI for data analysis, or prototyping AI-powered features.
Candidates with more experience will be considered as Product Director (P7-1). Experience building a zero-to-one product is a strong plus.

Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that pairs remote work with top-tier talent. We admire the importance of innovative social media strategies and are committed to connecting talented individuals with great companies that need their unique skills. Our mission is to provide great jobs to gifted people, regardless of location.
About the Client
Our client is a multi-brand e-commerce and digital marketing business focused on growing brands through channels such as TikTok Shop, creators and affiliates, Meta Ads, Shopify, Amazon, and organic social. The company operates in a fast-moving environment where multiple brands, campaigns, and marketing functions need to stay aligned. This role is focused on bringing structure, accountability, and operational efficiency to that growth environment.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Project Manager to bring structure, organization, and accountability to projects across our marketing and creative teams. Operating across multiple brands, departments, and marketing channels, we need someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and moving pieces simultaneously.
The ideal candidate has a background managing marketing projects for
U.S.-based DTC marketing agencies or in-house DTC brands
. They should have experience overseeing complex, multi-channel initiatives with a minimum of
$1 million in monthly marketing or advertising budgets
across the projects they manage.
Projects should include experience across key DTC channels and platforms such as
Amazon, TikTok, and Shopify
, with a strong understanding of how these channels, teams, and campaigns work together.
This person will ensure projects stay aligned and on track by establishing clear deliverables, ownership, timelines, and priorities. They will help the team maintain visibility, follow through on commitments, and identify potential blockers before they become problems.
We are not looking for a generic corporate Project Manager.
We want someone who has been close to marketing, creative, DTC, creators, paid media, e-commerce, or agency work and understands the pace and complexity of this environment. Experience simply managing tickets, scheduling meetings, or updating project boards is not enough. The ideal candidate has worked somewhere with multiple brands, campaigns, departments, and deadlines moving at the same time—and knows how to bring order to that environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage multiple projects across multiple brands and departments
