BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
We're looking for a Sr. Data Analyst, Compliance to join our team remotely! The primary goal of this role is to elevate decision-making by uncovering emerging trends and root causes, and by driving insights and actions that provide full visibility into business performance and operational efficiency.
Beyond technical expertise, success in this role depends on being a true business partner who combines data-driven insights with strategic thinking to deliver actionable recommendations, guide decision-making, and drive measurable impact across the organization.
In this role, you'll own end-to-end data management, from building and maintaining datasets and pipelines to designing dashboards and delivering insights for the Compliance team. A core part of this role is owning the logic and rule-setting behind transaction monitoring across deposits and withdrawals. You'll also contribute to experimentation infrastructure, laying the groundwork for future ML and intelligence initiatives.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own the logic and rule-setting behind transaction monitoring across deposits and withdrawals, partnering closely with Compliance to study patterns and refine detection logic
- Translate compliance requirements into production detection logic, preserving correctness across alert eligibility, thresholds, customer segmentation, date windows, and deduplication
- Develop and maintain Python and SQL pipelines for transaction data preparation, feature engineering, and detection workflows
- Evaluate detection rules and analytical models across coverage, alert quality, threshold sensitivity, and the impact of proposed changes
- Design reproducible evaluations on historical data that account for limited labels, class imbalance, and shifts in customer behaviour over time
- Own testing, deployment, scheduling, monitoring, and operational support for detection workflows, including investigating data quality issues, pipeline failures, and unexpected changes in detection results
- Execute historical backfills with clear validation and traceability, and maintain reliable downstream alert delivery and integrations with compliance systems
- Be at the forefront of data innovation by experimenting, testing hypotheses, and translating insights into action, while incorporating software engineering best practices into pipelines and dashboards.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, and data management within the fintech, crypto, financial services, or gambling industry, gained in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience working with compliance, fraud, funding, finance, and customer support teams and analyzing large datasets, engineering features, and applying statistical methods to practical business problems
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building and supporting production data or analytical systems
- Hands-on experience using dbt or similar tooling to model and organize high-fidelity data for reporting and decision-making
- Experience setting up and managing data pipelines with a strong understanding of workflow orchestration, plus strong software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD
- Solid statistical foundation; ML exposure is a strong plus
- Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Hex, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to build executive-facing dashboards
- Ability to investigate production issues independently and communicate technical findings and uncertainty to non-technical stakeholders
- You believe wholeheartedly in the values outlined in Kraken's Tentaclements document
- A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor, such as analytics, software engineering, statistics, or economics
- Based in Canada, the US, or Brazil, and fluent in English
NICE TO HAVES
- Fraud detection, AML, anomaly detection, or other risk applications
- Experience with Athena, Trino, Kafka, and Kubernetes alongside the core Airflow/dbt/S3 stack
- Transaction pattern analysis, customer segmentation, and detection threshold tuning
- Developing or productionising machine learning models, including experiment tracking and performance monitoring
- Working with sparse or delayed feedback from investigations to evaluate and improve detection
- Explainability, auditability, and change control in regulated environments

The Marketing Team
The Marketing Team at OpenZeppelin drives awareness and adoption across every product and service we ship, from the flagship OpenZeppelin Contracts Libraries to security audits, developer tooling, and solutions for financial institutions.
Working hand-in-hand with Product, Design, Sales, and Open Source Engineering, the team owns messaging, go-to-market strategy, content, and events that position OpenZeppelin as the security standard for onchain finance.
What you'll be doing
As OpenZeppelin’s Senior Product Marketer for Financial Services, you will own how we position, launch, and sell our solutions to banks, asset managers, and financial market infrastructures. You will lead the go-to-market for new institutional solutions, from positioning through launch and adoption, and make sure Sales has what it needs to win. You will work AI-native by default: building the workflows, agents, and tools that let you research faster, create better content, and give Sales assets that adapt to every account instead of going stale.
You will
Own positioning and messaging
for our institutional solutions, defining value propositions, differentiators, and messaging by use case and buyer persona.
Lead product launches
for new institutional solutions, from launch plans and timelines through announcement, assets, and post-launch adoption.
Enable Sales with AI-native assets:
sales kits, pitch narratives, one-pagers, battlecards, and evaluation materials built to be customized per account and kept current, not static decks.
Run AI-powered competitive and market intelligence
by building workflows that track competitors, regulatory developments, and industry news, and turn them into actionable insights for Sales, Product, and leadership.
Build use-case and solution pages
directly in our CMS, explaining clearly what we offer, who it is for, and why it matters.
Support early adopter and design partner programs,
shaping the materials and narrative that turn institutional interest into qualified opportunities.
Contribute to institutional content,
including research reports, thought leadership, and newsletter topics, using AI workflows to research, draft, and repurpose efficiently.
Create light social media content
when valuable content or launches go live, in coordination with the wider Marketing team.
Close the loop with the product owners
by bringing customer and market feedback into roadmap and packaging discussions.
Measure what matters
by defining launch and adoption metrics and reporting on results.
Location
All positions at OpenZeppelin are 100% remote, however you should
be located between UTC-5 and UTC+2 to be seriously considered for this position.
You have
3+ years in product marketing at companies selling to institutions: financial services, digital asset service providers, or blockchain companies with an institutional customer base.
A proven track record of marketing to banks, asset managers, or market infrastructures at a company that actually won their business. You already know what these buyers want, how they evaluate, and what makes them move.
An AI-native way of working. You build and use AI workflows daily for content creation, research, competitive monitoring, and sales assets, and can show examples of what you’ve built.
A solid understanding of digital asset and tokenization use cases, such as tokenized deposits, money market funds, repo, and stablecoins.
Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to make complex technical and regulatory topics clear and credible for senior audiences.
Experience working closely with Sales and Product to turn strategy into assets that are actually used in deals.
Strong project management skills and comfort working through compliance and approval processes.
A self-driven, collaborative mindset that thrives in dynamic environments.
Nice to have
Experience in product marketing for services (security, consulting, or professional services), not only software products.
Experience building web pages through a headless CMS such as Sanity.
Familiarity with blockchain technology and smart contract development.
Experience running beta, pilot, or design partner programs.
Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tools.

Our VIP team supports the firm's highest-value private clients across the Payward ecosystem: high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) who expect a premium, secure, and highly tailored experience. We ensure Kraken remains the platform of choice for VIPs by delivering white-glove relationship management, personalized trading enablement, and high-impact benefits.
We are looking for a Senior VIP Relationship Manager, LATAM to help us scale our VIP client book and growth across the region. This is a hybrid role: part white-glove relationship management, part growth and business development. You'll build Kraken's presence inside LATAM's VIP trading and investor communities, run local marketing and events, and source new whale relationships.
We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to be bold, can build and scale initiatives from the ground up, and is humble enough to fail fast and move on to the next challenge. If you thrive in ambiguity and can operate in a fast-paced, scrappy environment, this role is for you.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Serve as the trusted point of contact for Kraken and Payward’s top private clients across LATAM, delivering consistent, high-quality white-glove service and building deep, durable relationships.
- Own the regional VIP book end to end: onboarding, tier progression, retention, and proactive intervention on at-risk and lapsing clients.
- Build lasting relationships that grow AOP, net deposits, and trading volume, your primary KPIs, by becoming the partner clients trust with more of their capital and activity over time.
- Bring Kraken's private client and VIP offerings to market locally, including yield and earn campaigns, lending against tokenized equities and crypto collateral, OTC execution, and structured private-client benefits, ensuring they remain impactful and competitive against regional exchanges and desks.
- Source and convert new HNWI relationships through direct outreach, referrals, and introducer networks, from crypto-wealthy individuals and family offices to the principals of trading firms, OTC desks, miners, and project treasuries.
- Get inside LATAM's VIP trading communities: private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL and trader networks, and closed-door investor groups. Be the Kraken face those communities know and trust.
- Design and run local marketing and events (VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference-adjacent programming, and co-marketing with regional partners and KOLs) in partnership with our Marketing and Regional teams.
- Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that produce a repeatable pipeline of qualified private clients.
- Act as Payward’s ear on the ground: competitive intelligence on regional exchanges, product gaps that cost us whale business, and the local narratives that move capital.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, and Client Service to champion new efforts that drive private client growth and loyalty, and to make sure every play you run is inside Kraken's licensing and compliance perimeter.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, private banking, brokerage, or private client sales, including at least 2 years in the crypto space, with a track record of working with HNWIs.
- An existing, personal network among LATAM's crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, or Chile.
- Demonstrated ability to originate business, not just service it. You have personally brought in clients, run events, or built a community presence that produced measurable pipeline.
- Deep understanding of trading product solutions, including spot, margin, and futures trading, as well as OTC trading, lending, and yield/earn products. Familiarity with how deposits and client balances drive an exchange's lending economics is a strong plus.
- Comfort operating in a regulated environment across multiple LATAM jurisdictions, and the judgment to know when to involve Compliance early.
- Highly data-driven, with expertise in analyzing KPIs such as assets on platform, net deposits, trading volume, and client portfolio revenue.
- Ability to be scrappy, bold, and unafraid to explore alternative and creative solutions to achieve results.
- Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency ecosystems, their players, frameworks, and market dynamics beyond just blue-chip tokens, including how local on/off-ramps and stablecoin flows shape client behavior in the region.
- Skilled at building meaningful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and across diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region for client meetings, events, and conferences.
- Based in Brazil and native or near-native Portuguese plus fluent English required. Spanish is a strong plus.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.

About Huzzle Labs
Huzzle Labs partners with frontier AI labs to evaluate and improve frontier models through deep human expertise. Contributors directly assess advanced AI systems in their specialist fields, receive competitive compensation, and help define the standards used to measure model performance.
About the Role
Huzzle Labs is seeking experienced accountants to write realistic accounting tasks that test how well frontier AI systems handle accounting work. You will create prompts that are difficult enough for a frontier model to fail, then write a scoring rubric for each task so reviewers can assess the output consistently. A rubric is a list of objective, checkable criteria that a reviewer marks pass or fail. Your judgement helps define the standards used to measure model performance.
This is an expert judgement role focused on realistic task design, careful review of model output and precise, consistent documentation. Training is provided. Prior AI training or data-annotation experience is required.
Responsibilities
Write realistic accounting tasks: Create requests of the kind a client, controller or business owner would send, covering month-end close, bank and credit card reconciliations, AR/AP ageing, accruals and adjusting entries, sales tax, job costing and the clean-up of incomplete or inconsistent books.
Build from real material: Review a deal room containing hundreds of files, select the relevant documents and use them to develop prompts and rubrics for tasks a frontier model struggles to complete correctly.
Require usable deliverables: Each request should call for a working output, usually a spreadsheet, a journal entry schedule or a short memo.
Test against a frontier model: Run each request and review the output with the care you would apply when signing off accounting work. Where the model succeeds, increase the difficulty until a genuine gap appears.
Write scoring rubrics: Define objective criteria that another reviewer can apply without repeating your work, for example, “the reconciled ending balance equals $X” and “the $X deposit is recorded as a customer deposit liability, not revenue.”
Apply guidelines consistently: Follow the task and rubric guidelines, flag ambiguous cases and help refine the criteria.
Requirements
At least 5 years in accounting, bookkeeping or finance operations.
Prior AI training or data-annotation experience is required.
Hands-on knowledge of month-end close, reconciliations, AR/AP, accruals and adjusting entries, sales tax and job costing.
Excellent written English and precision with numbers.
Careful and detail-oriented: accurate figures and objective, checkable criteria.
Available 20 to 40 hours per week for an initial one-week trial, with potential extension.
Example Assignment
For a client deal room covering a small business with incomplete and inconsistent books, you would:
Review the files and select the relevant documents, such as bank statements, ledgers, invoices and ageing reports.
Write a prompt as the business owner or controller would, asking for a reconciliation and the adjusting entries needed to close the month.
Run the prompt against a frontier AI model and check the spreadsheet or journal entry schedule line by line.
If the model completes the task correctly, increase the difficulty, for example, by adding a customer deposit, a timing difference or a sales tax complication, until it fails.
Write the rubric, such as “the reconciled ending balance equals $X” and “the $X deposit is recorded as a customer deposit liability, not revenue,” so another reviewer can grade any answer without repeating the work.
Confidentiality
An NDA must be signed before the engagement begins.
Benefits
Compensation:
$60 - $90 USD / hour
Location: European Union
Workplace: Remote
ABOUT US
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior, hands-on media buying role with end-to-end ownership. You will own the whole acquisition process on Paid Social acquisition channels: strategy, account structure, bidding, budget allocation, creative testing, measurement, scaling and account health. You decide what to test, what to scale and what to cut, and you are accountable for the results. We need someone who has already run Paid Social Ads at scale, who knows how to grow profitably in a policy-sensitive niche, and who can operate independently on large budgets.
You will manage performance against real revenue data (CPA, FTD, ROAS, payback, player LTV and cohorts), not surface-level platform metrics. We also work AI-first, and we expect you to use Claude and automation to move faster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the process end-to-end: take full ownership of acquisition across all paid social ad networks (TikTok, Meta, AppLovin, Snapchat, and more): planning, launch, optimization, scaling, reporting and documentation.
- Scale spend profitably in the US market while holding payback, ROAS and CPA targets based on real revenue and player-value data.
- Build and optimize account structure, conversion events, value-based bidding and budget allocation across paid social networks.
- Decide budget allocation across acquisition channels and find new scaling levers: audiences, formats, placements, campaign types and additional channels.
- Run a structured, high-velocity creative testing process with the creative team on all channels, with clear hypotheses and kill/scale rules.
- Manage signal quality: conversion events, event value, deposit / purchase optimization, attribution.
- Operate in a policy-sensitive niche: run in the US within each platform's rules. Keep ads and handle disapprovals, appeals and restrictions, and build prevention-first processes so issues are caught before launch.
- Protect account health: manage ad account structure, backups and recovery plans.
- Work with reps on betas, new campaign types and escalations.
- Diagnose drops and spikes quickly and act on them.
- Document tests, learnings and playbooks, and use Claude and automation to speed up builds, QA, reporting and optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of hands-on paid social / user acquisition experience.
- Large-scale experience running acquisitions in the US market.
- Proven experience working in policy-sensitive niches and keeping accounts healthy while scaling.
- Strong hands-on Meta Ads experience scaling accounts profitably.
- Hands-on AppLovin (AppLovin Ads / AXON) experience, scaling it as an acquisition channel.
- Direct ownership of large budgets, ideally $1M+/month hands-on.
- Strong understanding of unit economics: LTV, ROAS, payback windows, cohorts, high-value-user dynamics and value-based optimization.
- Deep policy and account health experience: disapprovals, appeals, restrictions, ad account bans and how to recover and prevent them.
- Strong creative testing discipline and measurement rigor.

Kraken and Payward VIP team supports the firm’s highest-value private clients: high-net-worth individuals who expect a premium, secure, and deeply tailored experience. We ensure Kraken remains the exchange of choice for VIPs through white-glove relationship management, personalized trading enablement, and high-impact benefits.
We are looking for a Head of VIP, Asia to lead and grow Payward VIP presence across the region. This is a player-coach role: you will build and lead a small, high-performing team while personally owning strategic client relationships, originating new business, and shaping the regional growth playbook.
You will set the standard for how Kraken serves, retains, and grows its most valuable private clients in Asia. You will be equally comfortable in a senior client meeting, building an introducer network, coaching a relationship manager, hosting a VIP event, and partnering internally to remove the product or operational barriers that cost us high-value business.
Payward VIP program is unique, and we intend to keep it that way. We don’t copy what other exchanges and desks do. You’ll take what makes our program different and adapt it to how Asia’s VIP clients actually trade, network, and build trust. That means testing new ideas, learning fast, dropping what doesn’t work, and scaling what does. If you’re bold, comfortable with ambiguity, and humble enough to fail fast and move on, this is your seat.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Lead, coach, and develop VIP relationship managers in Asia; establish clear standards for client coverage, pipeline management, service quality, and commercial performance.
- Build the operating model for VIP growth across Asia, including territory coverage, account segmentation, referral strategy, events, and performance reporting.
- Own regional AOP growth, net deposits, client assets, trading volume, retention, and revenue performance.
- Build a repeatable pipeline of qualified high-value clients through direct outreach, referrals, introducers, family offices, proprietary trading firms, OTC desks, miners, project treasuries, and high-volume traders.
- Represent the voice of Asia’s VIP client base internally: identify competitive threats, regional market dynamics, product gaps, and opportunities that influence where private-client capital trades.
PERSONALLY OWN STRATEGIC CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
- Own and grow Kraken's most strategically important private client relationships across Asia, bringing our full VIP offering - ranging from trading and asset management to other services - to market locally, within Kraken's compliance and risk framework.
- Serve as the senior relationship owner for Kraken’s largest and most strategically important private clients across Asia.
- Bring Kraken’s VIP and private-client offering to market locally, including spot, margin, futures, OTC execution, earn and yield opportunities, lending, and tailored benefits.
- Build trusted, durable relationships while ensuring every client interaction and commercial initiative operates within Kraken’s licensing, compliance, and risk framework.
BUILD REGIONAL PRESENCE AND PARTNERSHIPS
- Develop Kraken’s presence in Asia’s VIP trading and investor communities, including private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL and trader networks, and closed-door investor circles.
- Design and lead high-quality regional programming, including VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference-adjacent events, and partner activations, in collaboration with Marketing and Regional teams.
- Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that create a durable source of qualified VIP opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, Client Service, and Operations to launch regional growth initiatives and improve the client experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in VIP relationship management, private banking, brokerage, private-client sales, account management, or business development, including meaningful experience in crypto or digital assets.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the judgment and practical coaching ability to lead a small team while remaining hands-on with strategic clients and revenue opportunities.
- A strong personal network among Asia’s crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities. Experience across Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Singapore is especially valuable.
- A proven record of personally originating and converting new business, not solely servicing an existing client book.
- Deep knowledge of crypto market structure and trading solutions, including spot, margin, futures, OTC, lending, tokenized equities, and yield/earn products.
- Strong commercial judgment and comfort managing KPIs including assets on platform, net deposits, revenue, trading volume, retention, pipeline conversion, and client portfolio growth.
- Native or near-native Mandarin and fluent English.
- Comfort operating across multiple regulated Asian jurisdictions, with sound judgment on when to engage Compliance and Risk partners early.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region for strategic client meetings, events, and conferences.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

Join our Product and Regulatory Legal team, embedded with Kraken's Product, Design and Engineering teams to ship novel products and experiences that accelerate the global adoption of crypto. We are a tight, experienced group of lawyers from a diverse range of tradfi, fintech and crypto backgrounds who move fast, stay curious and take pride in the commercial accountability of our advice, partnering directly with Product, senior leadership and Compliance to chart clear, defensible paths to launch and to keep our licensed entities running smoothly.
This is a senior product-facing legal role for the European Union. You will be the lawyer the business trusts on questions that cut across several regimes at once: for example, a single product such as a tokenised equity, a card, or an institutional custody and prime brokerage service can touch the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive ("MiFID II"), the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation ("MiCA"), the Payment Services Directive ("PSD2"), the Electronic Money Directive ("EMD2") and banking rules at the same time. You will bring clarity on which regime applies, what it requires, and how to launch within it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Product Legal, you will act as a senior legal adviser to European leadership on new products, licensing structure and regulatory strategy.
- Own cross-functional product counselling for European Union launches from discovery to design, launch and iteration, giving Product, Engineering, Compliance and leadership decision-ready advice with clear options and risk trade-offs
- Advise on the regulatory perimeter and classification of new offerings across MiFID II and the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation ("MiFIR"), MiCA, the European Market Infrastructure Regulation ("EMIR"), payment services and electronic money rules, and banking regulation, including where an instrument or service falls between regimes (for example tokenised securities, crypto-asset derivatives, margin and financing, and stablecoin-linked products)
- Advise on payments and electronic money offerings, including the Krak card and account propositions, safeguarding, open banking and account-access obligations, and the developing Payment Services Directive 3 and Payment Services Regulation framework
- Advise on banking-related questions that arise in the European Union, including bank partnerships and sponsor-bank arrangements, deposit-taking and lending perimeter questions, the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive, and the interaction of these rules with our custody, prime brokerage and financing products
- Monitor and interpret European Union legislative and supervisory developments, take part in consultations and industry association work where appropriate, and translate their significance for the business proactively

- Use AI-assisted tools (for example Enterprise GPTs) to speed up regulatory analysis, first drafts and matter tracking, and to build self-service tools that let stakeholders answer commoditised legal and regulatory questions themselves
- Advise on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements affecting products, including the Transfer of Funds Regulation ("Travel Rule") and the new European Union anti-money laundering package, and on market abuse, conduct, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act ("DORA")

WHAT YOU BRING

- 15 or more years' post-qualification experience ("PQE") in financial services regulatory law, gained at a regulated financial services institution (for example a bank, payment institution, broker-dealer, exchange, central counterparty or crypto services provider) or at a leading law firm supporting such clients, ideally with in-house or direct product counselling experience
- Deep, current knowledge of several of the following, with real depth in at least two: MiFID II and MiFIR (investment services, market structure, derivatives and conduct), MiCA (crypto-asset services, custody, trading platforms and stablecoins), European Union payment services and electronic money regulation, and European Union banking regulation
- Demonstrated ability to analyse novel products against overlapping regimes and give a clear view on classification and perimeter, including in areas where the rules are unsettled or supervisors have not yet spoken
- Direct experience managing senior regulator relationships, including notifications, information requests, supervisory correspondence and examinations
- Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including DORA
- Proven ability to instruct, supervise and manage the cost of outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Outstanding analytical, drafting and organisational skills, with crisp, plain-English writing
- Ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyer stakeholders and for senior leadership
- A pragmatic, commercially accountable approach to legal and regulatory risk that gives stakeholders a useful range of options and a clear recommendation
- Experience mentoring or managing lawyers, and the judgement to know when to escalate
- Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, remote environment
- Familiarity with using AI tools such as Enterprise GPTs to increase the efficiency of legal services
NICE TO HAVES

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role owns the partnerships that bring new clients to Wealthsimple. Every motion you own ladders up to one goal, customer acquisition, across both digital and real-world channels: partner-driven acquisition campaigns, referral partnerships that feed our business banking line, and brand and experiential sponsorships that let us acquire customers in person. The job is to turn partners and campaigns into net-new clients and deposits, and to convert our brand presence into people walking in the door, wherever they already are. You'll source, negotiate, and activate these partnerships end to end, and you'll build a lot of it from scratch. This is a builder's seat for a growth-minded commercial operator who thinks about acquisition wherever it happens, online or IRL.
IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Drive acquisition campaigns with partners, including monthly millionaire: secure partner funding and co-marketing, and source smaller campaign partners to power specific moments.
- Own referral partnerships for the business banking line end to end: source, sign, and drive the channel partners that send us new business clients and deposits.
- Lead commercial negotiations from first outreach to signed terms, landing terms that work for both our clients and the business.
- Own the acquisition targets: net-new funded clients and deposits from referral partners, campaign performance, and sponsorship reach and ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Brand, PMM, and Business Banking Product to activate every partnership well and measure its impact.
SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, or growth roles in banking or customer-focused industries.
- Negotiation and commercial ownership. A master negotiator with a track record of driving commercial and acquisition outcomes and turning partnerships into measurable growth.
- A growth and acquisition orientation. You've turned partnerships or campaigns into measurable client acquisition, online and in person, and you think in funnels, not just relationships.
- Channel or referral partnership experience. You've built or run a referral or channel pipeline that produced real, attributable results.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with real comfort in CAC, LTV, and attribution.
- A strong network in Canada (and ideally the US) across relevant commercial, tech, and community ecosystems.
- A 0-to-1 operator with high urgency, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Brand experiential marketing experience, especially activations built to drive real-world customer acquisition, including agency and rights-holder relationships.
- Business banking or SMB acquisition experience.
- Product partnerships experience as it pertains to integrated referrals.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on impact and outcomes.
