Are you driven to dig deep into runtime behavior, uncover complex failures, and ensure the foundation underlying millions of developer tools stays rock-solid? Do you understand that reliability at the runtime level directly impacts how developers experience their tools every single day?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
JetBrains Runtime (JBR) is our fork of OpenJDK, used to launch all IntelliJ-based IDEs. When runtime issues occur, they affect every developer relying on our products. This role exists to ensure JBR remains stable, performant, and reliable across platforms.
You’ll take ownership of quality across JBR builds, working closely with the engineers building features like Java Chromium Embedded Framework (JCEF) and contributing to OpenJDK projects. You’ll influence how we triage, investigate, and resolve complex JVM issues, directly shaping the stability of the entire IntelliJ ecosystem.
Day to day, you will:
Analyze automated test results from regular builds to investigate Java runtime and test failures.
Conduct thorough investigations into user-reported issues to ensure accurate triage.
Analyze thread dumps and JVM crash logs to pinpoint deadlocks, freezes, and Event Dispatch Thread (EDT) responsiveness issues in the IDE.
Communicate with developers to build a deep understanding of runtime architecture and ongoing changes.
Collaborate with the support team to reproduce and resolve issues reported in public builds.
Take ownership of JetBrains Runtime quality by identifying what needs to be fixed, keeping the tracker organized, and prioritizing quality tasks.
What you’ll bring
A focus on quality and deep technical investigation over quick surface fixes.
Clear communication skills and comfort advocating for your perspective while remaining open to others.
An ownership mindset, taking responsibility for keeping issues organized and moving forward.
The curiosity to understand underlying systems and application architecture rather than treating tools as black boxes.
What you’ll need
A solid understanding of Java, AWT, Swing, and Java2D.
Hands-on experience analyzing thread dumps, JVM crash logs, or memory issues using standard JDK diagnostic tools.
The ability to read and understand tests using test frameworks like jtreg, JUnit, gtest, or ctest.
Experience reproducing complex technical issues and working with issue trackers like YouTrack, Jira, or GitHub.
Familiarity with macOS and Linux environments.
What success looks like
Success in this role means runtime issues are caught early, triaged effectively, and clear context is provided to developers so fixes happen swiftly. You’ll have established a clear view of JBR quality, unblocked internal teams, and improved overall IDE stability for millions of users.

We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Build AI-powered developer experience that makes engineers enabled.
You’ll join our Developer Experience team, united by the mission of “Engineers can do their work quickly, easily, comfortably, and safely.” You’ll be part of a team spanning the US and India that turns ambiguous goals into shippable projects that meaningfully improve developer throughput and reliability.
Your team owns AI experiences, remote and local dev environments, builds and CI, deploys, testing, and verification. You’ll work on a relatively broad scope within a well-resourced team.
This role is based in Hyderabad, India. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- You build an AI harness to auto-resolve bugs reported for the Notion app. This is high-leverage work for the engineering org and requires solid engineering to improve resolution accuracy.
- You improve CI and build reliability so engineers get early feedback when changes break CI. We’re committed to a 5-minute CI time and are already on track.
- You improve developer features for our in-house, AI-first remote development environments - helping shape the future of software engineering.
- You execute a shared roadmap with our US engineering team to increase developer satisfaction and enablement, informed by our DevEx survey.
- You collaborate with engineers across the company to deliver an industry-leading developer experience, working deeply with tools like the TypeScript language server, lint tooling, and the Notion CLI to improve developers’ day-to-day experience.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- Over 10 years of experience with strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of turning ambiguous goals into well-scoped, shippable milestones.
- Leadership: Can create technical roadmap and has a strong ability to plan and execute very large projects. Motivate the team for the goal.
- Enjoys learning new technologies and has demonstrated innovation through past work.
- Thrive in ambiguity and can solve business problems through technology.
- Ownership: Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for the success of the project and the team.
- Collaboration: Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills. Able to partner with cross-functional teams and engineering teams across time zones.
- Experience building or operating developer tooling (CI/CD, infrastructure workflows, internal platforms) with a focus on reliability, observability, and developer trust.
- Comfortable with creating with AI agents and hardening them: defining guardrails, adding evaluation/testing, and iterating based on real workflow feedback.
- Comfortable with creating with agentic workflows: pros-cons of code based orchestration; cost analysis; scalability issues; very long running workflows; verification/ralph loops.
- Systems-level debugging and performance thinking; you can identify bottlenecks, choose pragmatic fixes, and avoid accidental complexity.
- Ability to multiply the team: clear written communication, high-quality reviews, and coaching/mentoring that helps others ship faster and better.
- Some knowledge about building AI harness would be additive - tool building; context harness.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We are looking for a
Senior Full Stack Engineer
who is comfortable working on high-load, distributed systems and making architectural decisions, not just implementing tasks.
At MMDSmart, you will work on a CPaaS/CCaaS platform handling messaging and voice communication at scale. This is not a typical CRUD product: you’ll deal with real-time flows, external integrations, billing complexity, and systems where design mistakes surface quickly in production.
You will be expected to take ownership from design to delivery and challenge assumptions when needed.
Since 2007, MMDSmart has been a
leading supplier in cloud-based business communications
, delivering game-changing IT products to businesses in over 100 countries. Our success is fueled by the inspiration and innovative ideas of our team members, encouraging their growth and impacting our Messaging and
Voice solutions
. These empower our clients to communicate more effectively with their customers. Don’t miss this chance to excel in a rapidly expanding tech company, where your potential and ambitions are not just recognized, but celebrated.
Requirements
What will you do at MMDSmart?
Design and implement new platform capabilities across backend and frontend (not just “features” but system-level improvements);
Contribute to architecture decisions in a microservices environment (Go-based services, event-driven patterns, APIs);
Build and evolve React-based interfaces used by enterprise customers and internal teams;
Work on integrations with external vendors (messaging providers, voice, billing systems);
Investigate production issues in a high-scale environment and drive them to resolution—not just patch them;
Participate in technical discussions, trade-off analysis, and system design reviews;
Occasionally lead initiatives or own a domain end-to-end.
You are a perfect match if you have:
4+ years of real production experience as a Full Stack Engineer;
Strong backend expertise with Go (3+ years), not just syntax, but concurrency, performance, and system design;
Solid frontend experience with React + TypeScript (2+ years);
Experience building or maintaining distributed systems / microservices;
Good understanding of data modeling (SQL + NoSQL) and when to use each;
Ability to debug complex issues across services (not limited to your own code);
Comfortable working in an environment where requirements evolve and not everything is predefined.
Will be a plus:
Experience with real-time systems, messaging, or telecom domains;
Familiarity with event streaming (Kafka or similar);
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred);
Exposure to billing systems or high-throughput APIs.
What you get:
Work on systems that actually operate at scale and have real business impact;
A team where senior engineers are expected to influence architecture, not just execute;
Remote work.
Benefits
Why do talents choose and stay at MMDSmart?
Embrace the opportunity to work in a company that cares about:
Your Wellness:
Access to mental health programs, comprehensive medical insurance, and a sports card*.
Your Happiness:
Enjoy the company of cool teammates, a friendly atmosphere, a strong mentorship, and a variety of bonuses & corporate gifts.
Your Development:
Benefit from free educational events & courses, and English classes with native speakers.

Focus on your professional development in a supportive environment.

Choose your working format - remote, office-based, or hybrid and engage in team-building activities.

About the team
The Technical Success team ensures safe and effective deployment of ChatGPT and OpenAI API applications for developers and enterprises, acting as trusted advisors to maximize value from models and products. The Ecosystem team builds and scales third-party integrations around ChatGPT and Codex, working across product, engineering, partnerships, safety, legal, policy, and go-to-market to create useful, trustworthy, and technically sound integrations.
About the role
The Applied Deployment Engineer will build and deepen ChatGPT integrations with third-party messaging platforms, focusing initially on partner work and future opportunities with other messaging apps globally. This hands-on, partner-facing engineering role involves working closely with external product and engineering teams to improve integrations, expand capabilities like image generation, increase retention, and translate partner needs into OpenAI’s product and engineering roadmap. The role requires daily coding, making changes across platform or monorepo surfaces, and balancing technical discovery, product tradeoffs, prototyping, debugging, and executive communication. It suits a product-minded engineer with excellent communication skills, sound technical judgment, and ability to work across cultures, time zones, and organizations. The role is based in the San Francisco office with a hybrid work model (3 days in office per week) and relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
— Partner with messenger app product and engineering teams to design ChatGPT-powered experiences fitting chat, group, contact, and app-tab surfaces.
— Deepen existing partner integrations focusing on user experience, retention, reliability, and features.
— Build prototypes, integration guides, reference flows, and launch checklists to help partners move from concept to production.
— Debug API, latency, authentication, quota, quality, and user-experience issues across partner and OpenAI systems.
— Translate privacy, trust, login, and data-handling requirements into clear technical constraints and implementation plans.
— Collaborate with product, engineering, design, partnerships, legal, policy, and support teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable partner launches.
— Capture repeatable patterns from messenger integrations and create reusable playbooks for future partners.
— Travel periodically to meet international partners during key integration, launch, and post-launch milestones.
Requirements
— Strong software engineering background with daily coding enjoyment.
— Experience building or deploying API integrations with external partners, understanding client, backend, auth, privacy, reliability, and UX constraints.
— Strong product sense and design judgment for consumer-facing experiences.
— Ability to concretize ambiguous product ideas without over-specifying partner internals.
— Clear communication with engineers, product leaders, executives, and business stakeholders.
— Comfortable debugging distributed systems and narrowing performance or reliability issues into actionable hypotheses.
— Deep care about user trust, privacy, and product quality, especially in sensitive communication contexts.
— Ability to balance urgency with judgment and maintain launch momentum without skipping important details.
Preferred qualifications
— Experience with B2C consumer, social, or messaging products.
— Experience working with international partners or in cross-cultural product and engineering environments.
— Familiarity with OAuth/login flows, API rate limits, webviews, mobile release cycles, and partner launch operations.
— Experience with AI product launches, developer platforms, or API-first products.
— Prior customer-facing or partner-facing engineering experience, especially in startups or smaller companies.
— Ability to collaborate across APAC time zones and travel internationally quarterly, sometimes for up to two weeks around major launch milestones.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents https://sierra.ai/blog/meet-the-ai-agent-engineer: You'll build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central, mission-critical and drive revenue directly to Sierra's growth. These aren't prototypes—they are powerful, scalable systems running in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle (ADLC): You'll have complete ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration. You'll be responsible for building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production environments, defining the standard for ADLC best practices along the way.
- Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: You’ll work directly with leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to understand their most pressing business challenges, and build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale. You'll also partner with the most cutting-edge startups in Silicon Valley, embedding AI agents across their entire business stack to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Build the future of the platform: Your direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform. You'll surface unmet needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate with research, product, and platform to shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are some examples of projects that engineers on our team have worked on recently:
- Design and build AI agents for large telecommunications and media companies that consistently outperform human agents in managing subscription churn
- Develop and refine AI agents capable of navigating complex customer interactions, like troubleshooting a broken device and personalizing product recommendations
- Create generalizable AI agent frameworks tailored for industry-specific use cases. See some examples in our financial services blog https://sierra.ai/blog/five-ways-to-use-ai-agents-financial-services!
- Facilitate design partnerships for new product initiatives, such as new agent architectures, self-service capabilities, and generative agent development
- Experiment with the latest voice models and figure out how to integrate them at scale to enterprise-grade customers
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Language fluency - professional fluency in both Brazilian Portuguese and English
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
- A builder and tinkerer’s mindset with high agency - you find creative ways to overcome obstacles and ship
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems
- Excellent communication skills - clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production
- Have been a founder or founding engineer - you know what it means to balance craft, ownership, and speed
- Familiarity with tools that power today's AI agents: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
- Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go
- Previous roles where you interfaced with customers or led technical projects with external stakeholders
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
