OUR HIRING PROCESS:
We will review your application against our job requirements. We do not employ machine learning technologies during this phase as we believe every human deserves attention from another human. We do not think machines can evaluate your application quite like our seasoned recruiting professionals—every person is unique. We promise to give your candidacy a fair and detailed assessment.

📍 Manila, Philippines | Relocation required
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines. In three years, we’ve grown to 7M+ app downloads, 2M+ monthly active users, 7,000+ partner stores, and US$310M+ raised from top-tier investors.
You get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You’ll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge with experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch.
About the role:
Salmon operates across the Philippines, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi (ADGM), and our tax position has to hold up in all three at once. You’ll own that.
You report to the Head of Group Tax and work independently across corporate income tax, withholding and indirect taxes, international taxation, structuring, and transfer pricing. Transfer pricing is a core part of the mandate, but not the whole job — you’re the Group’s go-to technical voice on tax, full stop.
This is a hands-on seat for someone who can take a complex tax question, work it through alone, and land on a position the business can act on. You’ll work directly with the Head of Group Tax on live, cross-border problems that shape how Salmon expands — not theoretical tax exercises — with real autonomy and a direct line to the decisions your work informs, across finance, product, and tech.
What you’ll do:
- Research and resolve complex tax questions independently, and translate them into clear positions finance, product, tech, and commercial teams can act on.
- Own tax compliance across corporate income tax, withholding, and indirect taxes — partnering with local teams and external advisors to hit deadlines and document positions properly.
- Evaluate tax implications of new-market expansion, holding structure and capital optimization, profit repatriation, and any future M&A.
- Advise on permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes, indirect tax exposure, and treaty applications, including RMC No. 5-2024 on services performed by non-residents.
- Coordinate with external consultants to build a global transfer pricing framework covering intercompany service agreements, IP/tech licensing, and financial transactions.
- Lead preparation of Local Files, Master Files, and Country-by-Country Reporting, and keep them audit-ready.
- Manage benchmarking studies run by external consultants and confirm they’re applied correctly and kept current.
- Partner with Tech and Product on the tax implications of new launches and geographic expansion.
- Lead technically during BIR or other tax authority audits, including transfer pricing, and build the defense file.
- Monitor intercompany transactions monthly and quarterly against transfer pricing policy, and confirm they’re properly invoiced and documented.
What you’ll own:
- The Group’s technical tax position across three jurisdictions — nothing routes around you on tax.
- Transfer pricing documentation and defense, end to end.
- Tax input on every new market, structure, or product decision that touches tax.
- The BIR audit relationship and defense when it comes.
What makes you a strong fit:
- 6–10 years of broad tax experience spanning corporate income tax, international tax, structuring, and transfer pricing, with a track record of owning complex matters end to end.
- Big 4 tax practice at Manager level, or in-house tax at a fintech, is the ideal path here.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law; a professional certification is a strong plus.
- Deep working knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and BEPS 2.0, plus BIR and IRAS regulations.
- Can turn dense tax concepts into a straight answer a non-tax stakeholder can act on.
- Comfortable owning ambiguous, competing priorities with minimal oversight.
- Thrives founder-led and high-pressure, and builds process from scratch rather than waiting for one to exist.
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year
- Hybrid-first work environment
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines’ growing tech scene
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
- 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila
Relocation and family support
- Relocation support for you and your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics
- Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses
- USD 2,500 per year for flights home
- Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000 per month for each child under two and USD 500 per month for each child aged two to 18
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This role is available for candidates located in the United States or Canada.
The Opportunity:
Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, traces, and profiles with Grafana. It allows our customers to leverage the best open source observability software – including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope – without the overhead of installing, maintaining and scaling their own observability stack.
The Databases team owns the telemetry databases that are
Mimir for metrics
,
Loki for logs
,
Tempo for traces
, and
Pyroscope for profiles
. Our databases are OSS projects that we also offer as a Cloud service supporting Grafana Cloud, and as an on-premise solution. They are multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes across all major Cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, AWS). We also have engineers working on
Prometheus
,
Grafana Alloy
,
Mimir proxies
, and OpenTelemetry.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a new perspective to the software. Our tech stack is mostly made up of services written in Go, running on multiple Kubernetes clusters that leverage Cloud object storage.
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction.
We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always paired with strong code review and quality standards.
You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability.
Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives.
Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve.
Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers.
Embrace our open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope.
Be a part of your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you’re running.
Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team.
Learn new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and our customers and getting to know the codebase of a large distributed system.
As we are remote-first and our engineering organisation is largely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude and good communication skills are a must.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
You are a motivated self starter with a bias towards action.
You are customer focused. We build everything with our users in mind. You have a passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs .
Pragmatism: You are able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and then progress iteratively.
Collaboration and communication: The smallest unit we have is a team. You’ll be working with your teammates in a fully remote setup. Good communication skills are a must.
Requirements:
Solid experience with at least one programming language. We use Go, but if you have familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust or similar then that translates well.
Some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements and brainstorming ideas, all the way to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way.
Some experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud
or
some experience with systems engineering.
Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others.
Bonus Points For:
Experience writing low level code for databases, storage layers, or query engines.
Experience working with Kubernetes.
Been a user of Grafana and/or Prometheus in operational roles (including on-call for your team at a previous employer or just using these tools in hobby/homelab projects).
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or a desire to learn.
Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks or with the concept of infrastructure as code.
Compensation & Rewards:
In Canada, the Base compensation range for this role is CAD 186,500 to AUD 223,500. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed
here
.
*Compensation ranges are country specific. If you are applying for this role from a different location than listed above, your recruiter will discuss your specific market’s defined pay range & benefits at the beginning of the process.

Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a small, cross-functional engineering team modernizing a data platform for a global financial services client. You’ll be working hands-on with Snowflake and dbt — designing data models, migrating legacy Oracle-based ETL processes, and contributing to architectural decisions alongside client stakeholders.
This is a delivery-oriented role with real ownership. You’ll take responsibility for assigned components end to end, participate in client-facing technical discussions, and work directly with both engineering and business teams to define and implement solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, develop, and optimize data models and transformation workflows using Snowflake and dbt.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data architecture covering raw through semantic data layers.
- Support modernization of existing Oracle-based ETL and reporting processes.
- Investigate and address data performance, consistency, and reconciliation challenges.
- Develop and maintain data processing, transformation, and automation solutions using Python.
- Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Support DevOps-related activities including deployment, configuration, and operational aspects of the data platform.
- Take ownership of assigned technical components and deliverables within the team.
- Participate actively in client-facing technical discussions and project meetings.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake — data transformation, modeling, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, data architecture, and scalable data solution design.
- Practical experience with dbt for developing and maintaining data transformation workflows.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting, and automation.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipeline development.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerized environments including Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills around data quality, performance, and reconciliation.
- Good communication skills — able to collaborate directly with client stakeholders and participate in regular technical discussions with US-based teams.
- English proficiency sufficient for regular technical discussions with US-based teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Oracle databases, Oracle ETL, and legacy reporting environments.
- Prior involvement in data platform modernization or migration from Oracle to Snowflake.
- Experience with Power BI and semantic reporting models.
- Snowflake professional certification.
- Experience designing and optimizing analytical data models for enterprise reporting.
- Experience working with distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
- Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
- Availability for occasional business trips to St. Louis, USA — approximately once every three weeks for one to two days.
When you join Solvd, you'll…
- Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.
- Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.
- Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.
Ready to make an impact?
If you're excited to build things that matter, champion responsible AI, and grow with some of the industry’s sharpest minds. Apply today and let’s innovate together.
Solvd is an equal opportunity employer.

Provectus is a Premier AWS partner and an Anthropic Preferred Partner at the forefront of applied AI, helping enterprises turn Claude, agentic systems, and their own data into measurable business outcomes.
With offices in North America, LATAM, and EMEA, we partner with clients worldwide. Our work centers on two verticals — Financial Services & Insurance and Healthcare & Life Sciences — where we deploy five pre-built AI Blueprints: Submission Flow, Portfolio Lens, Asset Flow, Revenue Flow, and Evidence Lens. Each rebuilds a critical business process front to back, shipped from working code. You'll learn the customer's job before you automate it. Most AI projects fail the same way: someone gathers requirements, someone writes a spec, and a team ships a workflow nobody uses. We think the requirements step is the bug. So we remove it.
As an Associate Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll join each engagement paired with a Senior FDE. Together you'll spend time alongside the client to understand their workflow and business needs. Then you'll help rebuild that work from first principles, and write real production code for it. You won't start from zero: every engagement begins from a Blueprint that has already shipped for a customer in that industry, and what you learn in the field goes back into it.
This role is for early-career engineers who want to learn how AI gets deployed in the real world — and who'd rather learn by building than by watching.
What You'll Need:
A degree in computer science, engineering or another STEM field
0–2 years of experience; internships, co-ops and research
You built projects, where you integrated AI as a part of your SDLC (internship, research or hackathon entry) that you can walk us through in depth: what worked, what broke, and what you'd change
Hands-on Claude Code basics
Strong programming fundamentals in Python or TypeScript
Curiosity and speed of learning — you pick up unfamiliar subjects quickly and ask good questions, especially about how real businesses work
Good commication skills - ability to explain complex technical subjects to non-engineers
Willingness to spend real time learning a client's job before you write code. It's the most unusual part of this role, and the most valuable
Location & Work Arrangement: This role requires
working on-site from our New York office 3 days per week
Great If You Have:
Cloud basics: AWS/Azure/GCP, containers, CI/CD AI/ML coursework or foundations
Comfort with ambiguity — our engagements start open-ended by design Interest or coursework in financial services, insurance, healthcare or asset management
Data pipelines or SQL; classical ML or MLOps (PyTorch, SageMaker, MLflow); infrastructure-as-code
Open-source contributions, hackathon projects or public writing on applied AI
Claude certification or AWS certification
What You'll Learn:
How to deploy LLM and agentic systems into regulated production — banks, insurers, health systems
How to build evaluation harnesses: defining what "working" means, then measuring it
Cloud delivery on AWS Claude Code in production, working toward Claude certification
A real business domain — insurance underwriting, healthcare revenue cycle, asset management
How to work with clients: their operators, engineers and executives
Your first 90 days:
Foundations — onboarding into our Blueprints, our delivery stack (Claude Code, AWS) and how we build evals, plus a primer on your first client's industry
The seat — join an engagement with your senior FDE. Shadow the operator, then do the work yourself
Your first piece — own a scoped part of a production system, with code review and your senior FDE beside you
What You'll Do
Take the seat — learn a client's function from the inside, and help redesign it alongside your senior FDE and the Forward Deployed Executive
Build — ship production code for LLM applications, agentic workflows, and retrieval and extraction pipelines
Build the evaluation harness before the feature — define what working means, then measure it
Take systems to production on AWS, and feed what you learn back into the Blueprint
Grow into ownership — your team is measured by the client's business results, not by hours. Drive adoption, because a system nobody uses hasn't shipped — and build credibility with the client's engineers and operators
What you'll get:
A senior FDE paired with you on every engagement, a named mentor accountable for your growth
Regular feedback and a clear path to Forward Deployed Engineer
Frontier delivery work across Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC and Blueprint Activations in Financial Services and Healthcare
Real production experience in regulated industries most early-career engineers never see
Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and cloud solutions
Full-time model
Unlimited Vacation policy
Generous health, vision, and dental insurance
401(K) matching plan
Salary base range: $120-145k. The salary range is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, and alignment with market data.
How We Hire
Technical task
— Complete a practical engineering task to demonstrate your programming fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with AI-powered solutions.
Intro conversation
— Discuss your background, projects, and what you're looking for in your next role.
Task discussion
— Join a discussion about your approach to the task, what you'd build next, and how you'd evaluate whether it works. No LLMs are permitted during this session.
Why we ask for a task
We're growing and want to find the right fit. The task is a small investment of your time that gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your engineering skills, AI maturity, and ability to think independently. About us
At Provectus, you don’t prototype in a sandbox and hand a client a slide deck. You embed inside a bank, an insurer, or a health system, learn the work, and ship a Claude + AWS system into their real, regulated production — then you watch the business number move. We’re an Anthropic and AWS Partner with 150+ certified architects. That means the newest models, real budgets, and problems that matter — without the layers, politics, and years-to-impact of a hundred-thousand-person firm. 350+ builders, 100+ customers in production, founder-led since 2010, offices across North America, LATAM, and EMEA.
Why Provectus
Frontier access
— Anthropic Preferred Partner: newest Claude models, real budgets, real problems.
Real tasks (not scope), real deployment.
You go where the operating problem is and ship production code to real users, not slide decks that sit in a drive.
Embedded, not engaged.
You are part of the customer’s team and inside their process — not a vendor running a project alongside it. Embedded is not staff-augmented.
Autonomous.
You own the work from framing through to production, visible to clients and founders. You own the method; nobody hands you a ticket.
Your experience stays portable.
Every engagement is a new problem, often in a new industry, so your skills compound instead of narrowing to one product. No legacy-maintenance grind, not a single stack.
Craft & growth
— build beside senior FDEs on a Claude-certified team; a real platform (talks, OSS) to grow your name.
We give you a stage:
Claude certification, conference talks, open-source contributions, published work under your own name.
What you’ll do
Spend the first weeks of each engagement in the operator’s seat, learning the constraints from the inside, then rebuild the function from first principles alongside the client and a Forward Deployed Executive — and you are the one who builds it.
Be part of the customer’s team, inside their process; work on real tasks, not scoped deliverables, and own the method autonomously.
You won’t start from zero. Provectus builds industry Blueprints — working systems that have already shipped for a customer in your industry. Your engagement starts from that baseline, and what you learn in the field goes back into it.
Deliver across Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC, and Blueprint Activations in Financial Services and Healthcare.
Help shape how leading enterprises adopt AI, from strategy through first deployment; help build the tooling and frameworks of a growing AI delivery practice.
What we look for
Typically 7+ years building software, a substantial share of it writing production code you were accountable for. You are hands-on today and intend to stay that way.
Genuinely willing to spend time understanding someone else’s job before writing code; demonstrated ability to become conversant in an unfamiliar business function quickly.
Shipped GenAI/LLM systems to production — not demos, not notebooks. You’ve handled the parts that get hard after the prototype works.
You evaluate. You have built or owned an eval suite for a non-deterministic system, and you can explain what you measured and why.
Strong engineering fundamentals — dropped into an unfamiliar codebase or language, you’re productive. Python and/or TypeScript proficiency; depth matters more than stack.
Cloud-native delivery on AWS (GCP/Azure a plus), including the operational reality of a system someone else inherits.
Pre-sales experience. Credible with senior stakeholders — you can hold a redesign conversation with a BU head and a scoping conversation with a CTO without losing either room.
Comfort with ambiguity and ownership. Engagements start underspecified by design. Closing that gap is the job.
Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork (skills, workflows, MCP, integrations, connectors, custom harnesses).
Nice to have
Containers and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS) and CI/CD in production.
IaC depth: AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform.
Open-source contributions or public writing on applied AI.
What we offer
Full-time.
On-site visits to client’s facilities and our office in NYC 1/week
Unlimited Vacation policy.

How we hire
Recruitment interview.
Tech interview with our FDE (30 min).
A live engineering building session (1.5 hours). We hand you a business function and the constraints. You have to understand the job and rebuild it — then say what you’d build and how you’d know it worked.
Use AI the way you normally would; we expect AI-generated code. What we look at is how you used AI, the judgment behind your choices, and what you researched beyond what any LLM already knows.
Soft skills interview.
Offer discussion.
We’re real
