We’re looking for a
Senior Android Engineer
to join our SDUI team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our server-driven UI (
SDUI
) platform, enabling teams to build a UI once and have it deploy seamlessly to iOS, Android, and Web without redeploying a new app — performantly and consistently. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SDUI team. We own the Android rendering layer of our server-driven UI platform, and the backend services that drive it, ensuring every consumer surface built on it is fast, correct, and visually indistinguishable from native.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution
by designing, building, and evolving the Android SDUI renderer — and the backend services (Kotlin, Golang, Protobuf) that feed it — to handle complex, real-time UI updates at scale.
Lead architectural improvements
and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the renderer as more teams build on top of it.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines
(iOS and Web renderer engineers, product and design teams) to plan rollouts, align on platform decisions, and influence the roadmap.
Own large-scale initiatives
from design to delivery — including the push to bring SDUI motion and interaction quality to native-equivalent, and the ongoing migration off legacy rendering systems.
Support the growth of others
by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
5+ years building Android applications at scale
, with a deep understanding of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Backend development experience
, specifically with Golang, Kotlin, and Protobuf, and the comfort to move between client and server code as the work demands.
Experience building or maintaining a server-driven / declarative UI system
, with a keen interest in pushing what's possible with declarative rendering — bonus points if that included Litho or another DSL-based renderer.
A product mindset
, and the instinct to apply it to how you design platform services for the teams that build on top of them.
Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design for a platform other teams build on.
Strong communication skills
, working across time zones with iOS, Web, and Backend counterparts, plus PMs and multiple product teams.
A pride in software craft
, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
Bonus points for exposure to Figma-to-code tooling, design-token/theming systems, or accessibility work in mobile rendering.

WHY PRODUCT ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Everything you build is open source (MIT-licensed) and immediately visible. Langfuse has 35,000+ GitHub stars and our SDKs are downloaded more than a hundred million times per month. When you ship a new feature the community notices in GitHub issues, on X, and in our community channels.
Product engineers at Langfuse are the people who deliver new features end-to-end to our users. You own the product thinking from understanding the user problem to deciding what to build to shipping the solution.
You will also have direct exposure to how cutting-edge LLM applications are built. The users you serve are some of the best and most ambitious software engineers leveraging Langfuse to improve their applications. Deeply understanding the problems they solve will help you design the best possible product and along the way makes you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own features end-to-end: from talking to users, to writing the spec, to shipping the code and docs, to writing the changelog post https://langfuse.com/changelog with your name on it. To give you a sense: recent features a single engineer owned include the Langfuse for Agents https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-11-05-langfuse-for-agents release (new trace views, agent graphs, semantic span labels), the TypeScript SDK v4 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-08-28-typescript-sdk-v4-ga rewrite on OpenTelemetry, and managing dashboards via API/CLI/MCP https://langfuse.com/changelog/2026-07-17-dashboard-and-widget-operations-in-api.
- Work across the full stack: and we mean full. Our surface area is wide: React frontend, Next.js backend, ClickHouse analytics, Python and TypeScript SDKs, public docs, Terraform modules, and more. You'll touch whatever the feature needs. One week you might be writing a new ClickHouse query for cost analytics, the next you're designing an SDK API, the next you're building a new rust worker for faster data processing.
- Talk to users constantly: jump on calls, respond in community channels, and route support requests. At Langfuse, support is how we build conviction about what to build next. Our handbook says it best: support by engineers is a core value proposition.
- Write public documentation about the features you own. At Langfuse, docs are product.
- Ship publicly during Launch Weeks: we've run four Launch Weeks https://langfuse.com/blog/2025-10-29-launch-week-4 so far, dropping a new feature every day for a week. Engineers present the features they built to the community.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who has built features or even entire products from scratch end-to-end
- Experience building and shipping user-facing products end-to-end, ideally in TypeScript/React and with exposure to data-intensive backends
- Someone who can manage projects themselves. You know how to develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it.
- Taste for great developer experience: you care about API design, UI details, and clear documentation
- Interest in open source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their problems
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or building complex data visualizations
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Contributions to popular open source projects
- ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem
No candidate checks all boxes. If you feel you are a good fit for this role, please go ahead and apply.

WHY BACKEND ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day. When a Fortune 50 company instruments their application with Langfuse, they hit the infrastructure you built. Everything you ship is open source and immediately visible.
The core of your role is making Langfuse fast and affordable at scale: owning the ingestion pipeline, optimizing ClickHouse data models and queries so dashboards load instantly, and building the backend abstractions that let product engineers ship data-heavy features without reinventing the plumbing each time.
You will also make sure Langfuse runs everywhere. You’ll operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments, and make self-hosting effortless. You will support a single Docker Compose setup to enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.
You won’t be solving these problems alone. Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, which means the people who built the database you’re optimizing are one channel away. Few backend roles give you that kind of access to the internals of your core datastore.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline: Langfuse ingests massive volumes of tracing data through a pipeline that flows from our API to ClickHouse. You'll work on throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency at every stage of this pipeline.
- Make ClickHouse fast: our tracing data lives in ClickHouse. You'll design schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, write and review analytical queries that power dashboards and the UI. You'll become an expert on ClickHouse internals — and you'll have the ClickHouse database engineering team one channel away.
- Build new infrastructure-heavy features: things like LLM-as-a-Judge (where we post-process large volumes of ingested data asynchronously), alerting at scale, client-code execution, or batch dataset operations. Build the foundation and, if you like, dip your toes into the frontend for those.
- Test with real data in production: when evaluating a new ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimization, you'll run load tests against production data to validate that changes actually improve things. We don't guess at performance. We prototype new table designs, run them in parallel on real traffic, and compare before committing.
- Scale for what's next: we're growing fast and new product directions like complex long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation push the infrastructure in new ways. You'll be thinking ahead about what breaks at 10x scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
- You get excited when working with a ton of data
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing. ClickHouse experience is a big plus but not required
- You organize yourself. You have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (our backend) and SQL
- Interest in open source software and genuine enjoyment talking to users about their scaling challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, other OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure
- Former founder
- Background in building data-intensive systems at scale

Ten years in, our D2C brands reach millions and generate over $20M annually. Our focus stays simple: create products customers love and a team that actually enjoys building them.
If you love to learn, experiment, think boldly, make decisions, and build things that matter - you’ll feel at home with us.

What You'll Do
We create premium AI short films and series that make people feel something. You'll be a key part of building this, producing daily episodes of dark romance, horror, thriller, and fantasy micro-dramas for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Each episode is 60-90 seconds of polished, character-driven storytelling that lives on someone's phone, often watched without sound.
You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI tools and deliberate creative craft. This means:
- Striking visuals that stop the scroll and draw the eye
- Believable characters who feel real, episode to episode
- Natural-sounding voices and carefully placed audio that works whether the sound is on or off
- Purposeful editing where every cut serves the story and the viewer's emotional journey
- Style in service of story—the look and feel should match the world and tone of the series
You'll move fast, but never at the expense of craft. Every frame should feel intentional
What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of professional experience working with AI tools for video, image, or audio generation
- Solid understanding of editing fundamentals: frame composition, pacing, visual flow, and how cuts guide audience attention
- Prompt engineering skills -ability to write precise, iterative prompts that yield the exact creative output you need
- Portfolio demonstrating completed AI-generated video work or traditional video edited to a high standard
- Ability to work independently and ship fast without constant creative direction
- Familiarity with vertical video format requirements and platform-specific best practices
It will be a plus:
- Experience in classic video production (films, TV series, shows)
- Understanding of dramaturgy and story construction
- The full cycle of AI video creation - from idea to final
- Experience working with short drama or creating AI content for TikTok / YouTube
THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS
1. Apply - A simple form that helps us know who’s stepping into our world.
2. Text Task - A small real-world challenge so we can see how you approach problems in action.
3. Hire - if we align, we'll invite you to join our team for a test trial period.
FIXED SERVICE FEE
Up to 2500 euros per month after taxes (depending on your skills, competencies, and experience, we'd be happy to negotiate your salary).
PERKS & BENEFITS
- Full flexibility with your schedule in a fully remote setting, while Hubstaff ensures transparency and fairness.
- Complimentary gym memberships and company-sponsored outdoor adventures for your strength and to keep your physical well-being in check.

- Generous paid time off, including parental leave and vacation days, to recharge and rejuvenate and ensure you’re well-rested.
