PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. The PlanetScale platform offers both Postgres and Vitess clusters. Vitess, an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL, enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience.
Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn’t be higher. We’re looking for a Customer Support Engineer to help developers and businesses get the most out of PlanetScale, resolve issues quickly, and build the support function that helps us scale.
What’s the job to be done?
You will advise and handle support requests from customers and developers on the PlanetScale platform.
You will respond to, debug, and resolve customer support issues through support tickets, customer Slack channels, public discussions, and other support channels.
You will help customers understand how to use PlanetScale effectively, including how to reason about queries, schema changes, application behavior, database connectivity, and production workflows.
You will create and improve internal and external documentation, support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing materials.
You will identify product gaps and recurring sources of customer friction, then work with Engineering to prioritize improvements.
You will contribute to the systems, processes, and practices that help PlanetScale deliver excellent developer-focused support at scale.
These attributes best describe you.
You are customer-focused, empathetic, and clear in how you communicate, while knowing when to push back in ways that help customers become successful on their own.
You have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the curiosity and persistence to follow issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and product behavior.
You are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone. Whether that means reading unfamiliar application code, digging into database behavior, testing a new framework, or learning a connector you haven’t used before, you’re willing to go where the problem leads.
You are a self-starting, enthusiastic individual who takes responsibility for outcomes and wants to make a meaningful impact on the business.
You can operate independently, but you know when to ask for help and how to bring the right people into an issue.
You are highly organized and able to operate in ambiguous or changing situations.
You are data-driven, team-oriented, and comfortable communicating across many audiences.
You enjoy working cross-functionally and translating customer pain into actionable product, documentation, and process improvements.
What you will need.
Experience supporting production applications, databases, developer tools, infrastructure, or other technical products.
Working knowledge of SQL, preferably with experience in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
Strong debugging skills and the ability to reason through application and database behavior.
Programming experience. You will not be programming full-time, but you should be comfortable reading and navigating unfamiliar code to understand customer issues.
Experience with common application frameworks, ORMs, database connectors, or application deployment patterns.
Willingness to explore new languages, frameworks, tools, and customer environments as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong empathy for customers, developers, and teammates, with the ability to advocate for customer needs clearly and constructively.
What else will help you be successful.
Experience working in a remote organization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and debugging tools.
Experience helping build support processes, documentation systems, or teams from an early stage.
Why PlanetScale.
We’re redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale — and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS. As a Customer Support Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines helping developers and businesses solve real production problems, while also shaping the product, documentation, and support systems that make PlanetScale better for every customer.
PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work and thrive no matter the location. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. We strive to build an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued, whether they are a candidate or an employee. We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status, disability, pregnancy status, and veteran status.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there’s any way we can make the interview process better for you; we’re happy to accommodate!
Total Compensation and Pay Transparency
An employee’s total compensation consists of base salary + variable comp where appropriate + benefits + equity. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to answer any further questions when we engage with you to begin the interview process.
Base salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD
Location: San Francisco
NOTE ON ELIGIBILITY: this role is for industry candidates already working in software engineering for the past 1+ years. New grads and current students should NOT apply to this role (instead, visit pplx.ai/newgrads https://pplx.ai/newgrads).
ABOUT THE ROLE
In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people now use Perplexity to transform knowledge into action, through Search, Comet, and Computer. Product Engineering owns those experiences end to end, from the interface a user touches to the search and model calls behind it, on top of roughly 200M queries a day and a 200B+ URL index.
This is a full stack role in the truest sense. There are no frontend or backend lanes here, and no one waits for a ticket before starting. It suits people who love to build and want the room to do it. What you have shipped and how quickly you learn tell us far more than years on a resume or where you went to school.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own a user-facing surface end to end, from the interaction, design, and frontend through the application logic, APIs, data models, and the search or model calls behind them.
- Ship to production continuously. New engineers typically have code in front of users in their first week.
- Build with AI as a primary tool, not a novelty. We expect you to use agents and coding models aggressively to move faster, and to have sound judgment about when their output is wrong.
- Turn ambiguous product ideas into working prototypes, then use real usage data and evals to decide what survives.
- Raise the quality bar on reliability, latency, and craft for the surfaces you own.
- Work directly with designers, PMs, and research engineers, without unnecessary process in between.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience, or a track record of strong internships where you shipped production code at scale.
- Strong in at least one backend language, such as Python or Go, with real experience across services, APIs, and relational data modeling. Comfortable working in React and TypeScript on the frontend.
- Real evidence of building: production work you understand in depth, shipped side projects with actual users, meaningful open-source contributions, hackathon wins, or research you turned into working software.
- Comfort with ambiguity and an instinct to start building incrementally rather than wait for a spec.
- Hands-on experience with AI products, with opinions about their rough edges and what that means for the product you are building.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with our stack: React or Next.js, Python, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS. You will not be expected to know all of it on day one.
- Experience building on top of LLMs: AI orchestration, RAG, evals, agents, tool use.
- Product taste. You can tell a good interface from a bad one and explain how to improve it.
- A public track record we can read, such as GitHub, a technical blog, or a demo we can try.

Mysten Labs’ mission is to advance the internet through step-function improvements in what technology makes possible. We build foundational infrastructure and products that give people, businesses, and developers new ways to interact, transact, and create value.
Our work spans on-chain finance and the emerging agent economy. Through Sui, Move, and our broader technology stack, we’re building the systems that make these experiences possible - from secure, scalable blockchain infrastructure to new ways for businesses and AI agents to interact.
We’re looking for a Senior Security Engineer to help protect the Sui ecosystem. You’ll uncover vulnerabilities, build monitoring tools, and assess economic risk across DeFi protocols. Working closely with external protocol teams and Mysten’s own DeFi products, including DeepBook, you’ll help address risks before they become incidents and strengthen security across the ecosystem
Responsibilities
- Build and run continuous monitoring of the Sui DeFi ecosystem for security and economic risk: oracle issues, misconfigurations/bad economic parameters, solvency and bad-debt exposure under price shocks, liquidation capacity against on-chain liquidity depth, accounting-versus-positions reconciliation, invariants.
- Extend security team tooling, both precise static analysis tooling and proprietary agent skills.
- Measure and drive compliance with the DeFi security recommendations across supported protocols: run the recurring compliance cycle, fill the protocol report card, validate security claims (audits, custody, upgrade governance, oracle dependencies) against on-chain reality, track remediation commitments, and escalate when a protocol regresses or fails to disclose an incident. Partner with the ecosystem and finance owners of the process.
- Hunt for critical vulnerabilities in the highest-TVL Sui protocols and get them fixed before they are exploited: full-package audits, variant analysis across forks, pre-execution review of multisig upgrade payloads, and forensics after incidents anywhere in the ecosystem.
- Be the security team's point of contact for external DeFi teams and for Mysten's own DeFi products such as DeepBook: due diligence, incident coordination, and post-mortems that feed back into the recommendations and the monitors.
- Write it down: findings, reports, and runbooks that a protocol engineer can act on and a non-technical stakeholder can understand, with every claim traceable to bytecode, chain state, or data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, smart contract security, or DeFi risk engineering, with a track record of building tools that ran in production and of finding real vulnerabilities (audit findings, bug bounty reports, published research, or incident work).
- Strong understanding of DeFi mechanics and their failure modes: lending markets (LTV, liquidation thresholds and bonuses, close factors, bad debt), AMMs and concentrated liquidity, perpetuals, liquid staking, oracles (staleness, confidence, TWAP, multi-source aggregation), flash loans, and MEV.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, and comfort with Rust. Ability to write SQL over large datasets and to work with blockchain indexers and data warehouses.
- Experience reading smart contract code at source or the bytecode or disassembly level, or evident ability to learn it quickly. Move experience is a plus, not a requirement; Solidity or Rust smart contract experience transfers.
- Rigor: you verify claims against bytecode and chain state, build known-clean checks into your tools, and say what you did not verify.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to influence external teams you have no formal authority over
- Interest in the web3 space is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sui and Move experience: the object and capability model, package upgrades and version gates, programmable transaction blocks, the Sui GraphQL and gRPC APIs.
- Knowledge of the recent DeFi exploit history on Sui and other chains: named incidents, oracle compromises, and the defect classes behind them.
- Experience building analysis or monitoring tools with LLM agents (Claude Code skills or comparable), and a clear sense of where models help and where deterministic tooling must do the work.
- Static or dynamic program analysis experience: taint analysis, call graphs, symbolic execution, fuzzing, formal verification.
- Quantitative or economic modeling experience: stress testing, liquidity modeling, risk parameters for lending markets.
- Publications, conference talks, CVEs, or bug bounty rankings.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Open to hiring remote across North America and London — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
We're building a tool that makes content creation easy and accessible for all types of creatives. Our users love it. Runway has an actively engaged and growing community of passionate artists and creators worldwide. And we're scaling the systems behind our support team so we can keep delivering delightful experiences as that community grows.
We're looking for a Support Systems Engineer who ships production code, not tickets and specs: someone who takes a fix from proposal to merged PR themselves. This role reports directly to the Head of Customer Experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the AI support agent, our ticketing system and other Support tools end to end: authentication (JWT), response logic, routing, escalation paths and tone, tested in staging before it sees live traffic
- Ship daily product changes that remove ticket volume. Recent example: extending automatic refund eligibility to one-click credit purchases, accidental upgrades and month-based proration on annual terms
- Build and maintain internal CX tooling as real software, not one-offs: scripts, jobs, dashboards, admin surfaces
- Run QA and evals with real test suites and pass/fail rubrics, plus monitoring and alerts for outages, bugs and volume spikes
- Own releases: staged rollouts, a regression suite before every ship, clear rollback criteria, a writeup when something reaches production
- Build the CX reporting the org runs on: volume, deflection, CSAT, reply and resolution time, escalation accuracy, agent spend. You own the correctness and availability of the queries.
- Build and stage the guardrails on refunds, account changes and anything touching money or PII, including the audit trail
- Keep the knowledge base accurate and structured for the agent to parse, and manage the handoff into the ticketing system
- Keep the CX roadmap and the coverage model current, sequenced against priorities set by the Head of CX, so gaps show up before they bite
- Run the day-to-day with our AI platform vendor: weekly working session, joint roadmap, issues filed with reproductions
- Carry signal across teams: Product and Engineering on bugs and rollouts, Customer Education on self-serve, community on Discord and the forums, GTM and Analytics on routing and reporting
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years in Customer Experience, Support Engineering or Support Operations, with real time spent writing code
- You ship production code in codebases you didn't write: read TypeScript, trace logic through someone else's service, put up a PR that survives review. Our stack is TypeScript and Node.js on AWS
- Hands-on experience building and tuning AI or LLM-powered support workflows: prompt and context engineering, routing, escalation design, evals
- SQL experience. You own the reporting, so you shouldn't be waiting on Analytics for it
- Code-level experience with a billing or payments API: invoices, prorations, refunds. A large share of consumer tickets live here
- Git, PR review, CI, staging and feature flags as your default way of working
- Real QA and eval experience: you can define rubrics, build test suites and calibrate against what good looks like
- Judgment about where a fix belongs, in code, in the agent or in the knowledge base
- A track record carrying signal between support, product and other functions and turning it into action
- Comfort managing your own work in a fast-moving environment, high ownership and high autonomy
- Genuine interest in AI, creative tools or both
WHAT SETS YOU APART
The most successful person in this role treats the agent and the systems around it like a product they own. They watch where it fails, ship the fix and check whether it worked. They build reporting people actually use. And they show up with improvements no one asked for yet.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Developer Advocate at GitLab, you'll help technical audiences understand and use our intelligent orchestration platform where teams and their AI agents ship secure software faster. You'll go deep on the product, especially GitLab Duo Agent Platform and our newer capabilities, and continuously discover real-world workflows that teams care about. You'll turn that hands-on knowledge into demos, blog posts, videos, and presentations, and bring what you learn from customers and the developer community back to GitLab.
This role focuses on showing the product in action and building relationships with customers and the community. You'll help cover events and work across U.S. and Canadian time zones.
What you'll do
Deeply understand GitLab's platform, especially our AI agent capabilities, and continuously find productive, real-world use cases worth showing.
Create product content, including videos, blog posts, presentations, and social clips that show key use cases for GitLab in the user interface and terminal.
Produce video content end to end: script, record, and edit product walkthroughs and demos, and collaborate with GitLab's video team on longer or higher-production pieces.
Deliver product demos and participate in analyst briefings.
Engage with customers through webinars, customer meetings, and other conversations.
Participate in the developer community by engaging on the GitLab forum and Discord, following the conversations happening on social platforms, in newsletters, and at events, and making sure GitLab has a voice in the ones that matter.
Answer technical questions that come through the sales team, and partner with support, sales, and product on developer-facing educational content.
Use hands-on product experience to share feedback with product teams and test new features.
Contribute to technical research and analysis of the developer tools landscape.
Travel requirement up to 20% for events and customer meetings.
What you'll bring
Hands-on technical experience. You understand how software gets built, with a focus on everything that happens after code is written, and can talk about it credibly with engineers.
Understanding of artificial intelligence and its use in software development, from coding all the way to production. You have built and operated agentic systems and infrastructure.
The ability to explain technical products clearly. You can demo a product, record a walkthrough, or speak at a conference without it feeling forced.
Fluency in developer social platforms. You know what's interesting to the people we're trying to reach and can participate in the conversation with credibility.
Curiosity and self-direction. You're already finding the next thing worth talking about, following the right people, and noticing opportunities.
Experience engaging with customers, developers, or technical communities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across sales, engineering, product, and other teams.
About the team
The Developer Advocacy team creates content that shows GitLab in use, engages with customers and the developer community, and brings hands-on product feedback to GitLab teams. The team also contributes technical research and analysis, while partnering with other groups to share its findings.

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?
Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Role overview
We're looking for a Staff Network Systems Engineer to help drive the transition of our global network infrastructure from manually managed and inconsistent configurations to a standardised, version-controlled and increasingly automated operating model.
This hands-on staff-level individual contributor will establish Infrastructure as Code practices, reusable automation, automated validation and safe delivery pipelines. The role will reduce configuration drift, make changes repeatable and auditable, and help the wider team adopt modern software-engineering practices.
Working across network engineering, security, architecture and platform teams, you'll help frame and influence technical direction, create practical standards and guardrails, and remain actively involved in enterprise network engineering and operational delivery.
What you'll be doing:
Assess the network estate, toolchain and operational workflows; identify sources of configuration variance, manual effort and change risk; and help define a phased modernisation roadmap.
Establish the Infrastructure as Code operating model, including the authoritative source of truth, configuration standards, source control, peer review, testing, release governance and secure handling of credentials.
Build reusable automation using object-oriented or comparable programming languages such as Python and Go (Golang), together with Terraform, Ansible, APIs and configuration-management tooling.
Develop CI/CD pipelines with automated linting, testing, intended-state validation, drift detection, policy checks, approvals, controlled rollout and reliable rollback patterns.
Partner with engineering, architecture and security teams to translate network intent into version-controlled implementations and influence reference architectures, standards, lifecycle plans and service roadmaps.
Lead the safe migration of existing services into the automated model while remaining hands-on during complex delivery, business-as-usual operations, critical changes, troubleshooting and major incidents.
Participate in technical authority and design-review forums, mentor engineers, and ensure automation becomes a sustainable team capability rather than knowledge held by a single specialist.
What we are looking for:
A strong track record of modernising network infrastructure through automation or Infrastructure as Code in a large, complex production environment.
Strong software-engineering skills in object-oriented or comparable programming languages such as Python and Go (Golang), including maintainable code, structured data, API integration, testing, error handling and documentation.
Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible or comparable tooling, including reusable, idempotent automation components and controlled infrastructure delivery.
Strong working knowledge of Git, pull-request workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release controls, policy enforcement and secrets management.
Deep enterprise networking knowledge across routing, switching, wireless, resilient design, network access control and secure remote connectivity, together with advanced Juniper Mist, EX Series and Junos experience or equivalent platform expertise.
Expert troubleshooting and engineering judgement, with experience supporting operational delivery, complex changes, major incidents and root-cause improvement.
Staff-level influence and communication skills, including shaping technical direction across teams, building consensus, contributing to governance forums and developing other engineers.
Desirable Experience
Network APIs and data models, including REST, NETCONF, RESTCONF, JSON, YAML and YANG-based workflows.
GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, automated policy enforcement, artefact management and developer enablement.
Azure or AWS networking, enterprise authentication, Zero Trust principles and network observability platforms.
Architecture governance, technical authority panels, strategic vendor engagement and globally delivered service operations.
High-availability gaming, digital-media, creative or similarly demanding production environments.
Work Expectations and Measures of Success
This is a staff-level role combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership across a global network environment. You'll build production automation, guide others and remain engaged with operational delivery. The objective is to establish an engineering system the team can operate and improve over time while maintaining secure, resilient and supportable network services.
Success will be demonstrated through:
Increased coverage of network infrastructure managed through version-controlled automation.
Reduced configuration drift, manual intervention, operational toil and dependency on individual subject-matter experts.
Shorter and more predictable change lead times, with improved auditability, validation and rollback confidence.
Lower change-failure rates, maintained service reliability and faster recovery from configuration-related incidents.
Sustained adoption of automation standards, modules and delivery practices across the wider engineering team.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. This role also may be eligible for a bonus package. Click

Base $109,400 - $164,000 + Bonus & Benefits.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience Operations, you will be a strategic and hands-on partner to PS leadership. You will help move the organization from manual, disjointed processes to connected, reliable, and increasingly automated ways of working. Your work will give leaders better visibility into pipeline, capacity, staffing, delivery economics, and growth and will ensure our teams have what they need to successfully deliver.

Establish connected capacity, utilization, and resource management practices across billable and non-billable roles, including skill-based staffing and hiring planning.
Improve visibility and deliver insights into project economics, including rate cards, fully loaded costs, burden rates, project margin, fixed-fee budgets, utilization, and revenue recognition.
Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, CX Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and Delivery to improve PSA, time-tracking, CRM, reporting, and related tooling.
Define requirements and lead process improvements, automations, and efficiency drivers across Professional Services, Operations, and newly integrated services teams.
Improve go-to-market alignment by tracking PS attach, connecting PS planning to account and renewal timelines, and enabling earlier PS involvement in deal strategy and account planning.
Partner cross functionally to deliver improvements in service catalog, pricing and packaging, SKU governance, and partner or channel delivery models.
Document processes, clarify roles and decision rights, and partner with Analytics to build self-service reporting that reduces dependencies of PS leadership for day-to-day execution.
What you’ll bring
10+ years’ experience in Professional Services Operations, Services Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related function in a technology or subscription business.
Deep understanding of PS business models, including time and materials, fixed-fee, and blended engagements.
Experience owning and developing forecasting and planning processes that connect sales pipeline to delivery capacity, staffing, bookings, and revenue.
Experience with resource management, utilization, project margin, delivery operations, PSA systems, or services go-to-market operations.
Experience leading process and systems improvements across evolving organizations.
Strong analytical, business judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving ambiguous operational problems.
Hands-on experience with Kantata or a comparable Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform.
Ability to translate business requirements into system workflows, data definitions, reporting requirements, and automation opportunities.
Deep familiarity with revenue recognition processes and the systems partnership required between Professional Services and Finance.
Nice to have
Experience integrating two or more services organizations, operating models, or systems or driving operations transformation and maturity.
Experience improving PS attach, deal structuring, account planning, or services participation in the sales cycle.
Experience with partner, channel, or customer-funded delivery models.
Experience working in a distributed or all-remote organization.

Global Trade Compliance Manager
Operations · Full-time · Remote (United States) · Hours 9am - 5pm EST
About Nysonian:
Nysonian is one of the fastest-growing consumer portfolios, behind NOBL and Flo Pilates. We grew over 8x in 2025 and are building the next phase of the business across physical products, software, and subscription experiences.
NOBL is a functional travel brand built around a simple idea. Travel products should solve real problems, not just look better. Every feature is designed to eliminate friction from the travel experience, from seamless organization and easy access to tracking, connectivity, and protection.
Flo Pilates brings studio-quality Pilates into the home through connected fitness hardware, content, and subscription experiences.
Across both brands, we are building product ecosystems that deepen the customer relationship beyond the initial purchase and create recurring value over time. We are looking for builders who want ownership, speed, and the ability to shape products at scale.
The Opportunity:
Nysonian is hiring a Global Trade Compliance Manager to to own the company's end-to-end import/export compliance program across all origin and destination markets. This role is responsible for export documentation and compliance out of China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia, and for import/customs clearance compliance into the UAE, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, the USA, and Mexico — including HS/HTS classification, importer- of-record (or equivalent) obligations, and duty/tariff management in each jurisdiction, to a standard of 100% compliance. The role works closely with the China/Southeast Asia buying and sourcing teams, the Mexico manufacturing facility, customs brokers and freight forwarders in each market, and surety/bond providers, to keep shipments compliant and identify and resolve compliance risk before it becomes a liability.
What You'll Own:
Own end-to-end export documentation and compliance for shipments originating from China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and each origin country's export licensing/permit requirements.
Own end-to-end import and customs clearance compliance for shipments into the UAE (Dubai Customs / GCC), UK (post-Brexit customs, EORI), EU (EU customs union, EORI), Australia (Australian Border Force), Canada (CBSA), the USA (CBP), and Mexico (SAT/Aduana).
Manage and maintain HS/HTS code classifications across the full product catalog for NOBL Travel, Flo Pilates, and other Nysonian brands, mapping classifications correctly to each destination market's tariff schedule.
Act as the primary point of contact for the customs clearance process in each market, coordinating directly with local customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs authorities to resolve entry issues, holds, and requests for information.
Manage Importer of Record (or equivalent, e.g., EORI holder) responsibilities and obligations in every import market, maintaining 100% compliance with each jurisdiction's customs regulations, bonded entry requirements, and recordkeeping standards.
Monitor and manage customs surety bonds and guarantees where applicable (e.g., the U.S. bond program with Avalon Risk Management), including bond sufficiency, claims, and provider relationships, and lead resolution of any bond or liquidated damages matters.
Lead the response to customs compliance actions and enforcement notices from any origin or destination authority (e.g., CBP liquidated damages notices, requests for information), coordinating internally and with outside counsel or brokers as needed.
Identify and apply free trade agreement and preference programs to reduce duty exposure (e.g., USMCA, EU/UK- Vietnam FTA, ASEAN trade agreements, GCC arrangements, AANZFTA), and assess rules-of-origin risk — particularly for products manufactured in Mexico with components sourced from China, where dual-origin
exposure exists.
Monitor changes in tariff policy, trade agreements, and trade remedy actions (e.g., U.S. Section 301/232, EU CBAM, safeguard duties) across all markets, and translate them into landed-cost impact and mitigation recommendations for leadership.
Partner with the China/Southeast Asia buying teams and the Mexico manufacturing facility to ensure sourcing, bill-of-materials, and country-of-origin documentation support accurate classification and compliant entries in every market.
Build and maintain internal SOPs, recordkeeping systems, and training materials to standardize export and import compliance practices across all origin and destination countries.
Prepare compliance reporting and risk summaries for leadership, flagging open exposures by country (e.g., open enforcement cases, bond claims) and recommended next steps.
Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in international trade compliance spanning both export (Asia-origin) and import compliance across multiple destination markets, ideally supporting a consumer goods or e-commerce company.
Hands-on experience with HS/HTS classification and customs entry processes across more than one jurisdiction (e.g., US, UK/EU, Canada, Australia, or GCC).
Working knowledge of Importer of Record / EORI-equivalent obligations, customs bonds/guarantees, and customs enforcement actions (e.g., CBP liquidated damages, CF-28/CF-29 notices).
Familiarity with rules of origin under USMCA and other applicable free trade agreements, including multi-country manufacturing scenarios (e.g., China-origin components assembled in Mexico).
Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders across multiple countries, and coordinating export procedures with factories/sourcing offices in China, Vietnam, Thailand, or Cambodia.
Strong attention to detail and comfort owning compliance outcomes independently across jurisdictions, with a track record of driving issues to resolution.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and time zones in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), CCS/CBIP, or an equivalent international trade compliance certification is a plus but not required.

About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
ABOUT THE SECURITY PLATFORM TEAM
The Infrastructure Security team provides and supports the primitives that enable engineering to securely build applications and meet compliance obligations, while abstracting away the underlying complexity for the best possible developer experience.
Our work centers on workload identity and authorization: how internal applications authenticate to each other and to the services they depend on, and how that access is granted and enforced. We're replacing static secrets with short-lived identity credentials, bringing identity-based authentication to the services engineers use every day, and unifying how authorization is managed across the company.
We're a platform engineering team with a security mission. We measure success by the security outcomes we enable and by how much engineers enjoy building on what we ship — the secure path should be the easiest path.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A platform builder. You love building infrastructure that other engineers rely on every day, and you sweat the developer experience details that make adoption effortless.
- Fluent in service-to-service auth. You know authentication and authorization deeply: JWTs, X.509 certificates, and when to reach for each.
- A systems thinker. You reason carefully about bootstrapping, circular dependencies, availability, and failure modes, especially for infrastructure that everything else depends on.
- A pragmatic migrator. You know that shipping the primitive is half the job. You can drive adoption across many teams, meet them where they are, and retire the legacy path.
- A strong partner to engineering. You build trust with engineers by understanding their priorities and making security frictionless.
- Excited about AI. You're embracing AI and automation to scale platform work and reduce toil.
- Curious and humble. You ask the basic questions, enjoy untangling complex systems, and bring others along with you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build workload identity infrastructure. Make short-lived identity credentials a default part of every application's runtime environment, in partnership with application platform owners.
- Bring identity-based authentication to internal services. Work with the owners of major internal dependencies to support identity certificates, make them the golden path for newly onboarding applications, and drive migration of existing ones.
- Eliminate static secrets. Replace all static passwords and service tokens with short-lived identity credentials, and build identity-authenticated egress proxies and API abstractions that inject and automatically rotate managed secrets for the external dependencies that still require them.
- Unify authorization. Build a single interface and framework through which authorization policies are centrally managed and enforced.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on security-related platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Strong working knowledge of secrets management, fine-grained authorization, and workload identity systems.
- Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and authentication/authorization technologies such as JWTs, X.509 certificates, PKI, cert-manager, SPIFFE/SPIRE, and OPA.
- Experience building and operating production infrastructure that other teams depend on, with attention to availability and failure modes.
- Proven ability to drive cross-team adoption of platform capabilities or lead large-scale migrations.
Benefits and Perks (US Only) 💖
At WorkOS, we offer resources that emphasize personal and familial well-being. We offer healthcare coverage for you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision. We offer parental leave, paid-time off and fully remote working arrangements.

About the team
We’re the AI & Automation Engineering team. Our mission is to make life easier for every internal team through automation, from standalone tools to Operational Hub, the unified platform we’re building to house all the automation tools each department needs. We work directly with Growth, Strategy & Planning, Client Service, Operations, and Data & Solutions (among others), so most of what you build is used by the people you work with every day.
The team today is small: a Product Manager, a Full-Stack Engineer, and an AI Implementation Engineer. But the company is growing very fast, and so is our team.
About the role
We’re looking for AI Implementation Engineer who thrives at the intersection of automation, AI-assisted development, and practical tool-building. You’ll work alongside our existing engineers to design, build, and maintain the internal tools and automated workflows that power day-to-day operations across the company.
The work is hands-on and fast-moving: you’ll turn business needs into working solutions using n8n, LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI), and AI-assisted development tools like Replit and Claude Code.
If you build with AI, want real ownership over features, and want to work closely with the people who use what you build, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows that automate internal business processes.
Troubleshoot and improve existing automations to keep them reliable, efficient, and easy to maintain.
Develop and launch lightweight internal tools using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Replit.
Integrate systems and services through APIs and webhooks, including LLM APIs such as Claude and OpenAI.
Work directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical solutions.
Test tools and workflows, gather user feedback, and deliver improvements as business needs evolve.
Contribute new features to the team’s Operational Hub and collaborate with engineers on technical decisions.
Take ownership of assigned projects, from requirements gathering through launch and ongoing support.
2+ years of professional experience in QA (preferred), analytics, or project management. Hands-on programming skills are also welcome.
Hands-on experience building, debugging, and maintaining workflows in n8n or Make.com.
Ability to build and ship functional applications using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Replit, Cursor, or similar.
A working understanding of APIs, webhooks, and data flows, with the ability to troubleshoot integration issues.
Basic proficiency in SQL, ideally BigQuery, including reading and working with structured data.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to understand business processes, clarify requirements, and translate them into practical tools and automations.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, willingness to learn, and ownership of your work.
Nice to have
Experience with Google APIs, particularly Sheets, Drive, and Calendar.
Familiarity with Clerk or similar authentication and authorization tools.
Knowledge of React or basic frontend development.
Experience integrating Slack, Asana, HubSpot, or similar business tools.
Experience in AdTech or MarTech.
Portfolio
If we move forward after the initial HR interview, we’ll ask you to share a portfolio of tools or automations you’ve delivered. Please highlight their measurable business impact and explain your personal contribution to each project.
