An overview of this role
As an Senior AI Engineer at GitLab, you'll help build the foundation for GitLab's transformation into an AI-first company. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise AI, you'll be a hands-on technical leader responsible for delivering internal AI-powered solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Building fast matters, but it's not enough on its own. This role starts with understanding the real problem: mapping how work moves across teams, tools, and handoffs, identifying the true constraint, and validating whether AI is the right solution before you begin development. From there, you'll take ownership from discovery through deployment, combining strong engineering skills with systems thinking and business understanding.
Your initial focus will span Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support, where you will embed AI solutions into key systems and workflows. This role offers the opportunity to shape how GitLab team members work, improve flow across the organization, and help advance our mission in a remote, asynchronous, and values-driven environment.
What you'll do
Diagnose business problems before building solutions. Map workflows, identify constraints, and confirm whether AI is the right intervention. Be prepared to say "this doesn't need AI" when that's the honest answer.
Own AI initiatives end-to-end, from stakeholder discovery and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
Design, develop, and ship AI-powered solutions quickly, delivering working prototypes in days, not months, with a focus on practical outcomes and measurable business value.
Improve organizational flow by building solutions that reduce bottlenecks, shorten lead times, and increase throughput. Measure success using flow metrics alongside adoption and ROI.
Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows using APIs, orchestration tools, and modern AI platforms, including GitLab Duo Agent Platform, where appropriate. The right tool wins, whether that's custom code, a platform, or a well-crafted prompt.
Be Customer Zero: leverage and showcase GitLab's AI offerings wherever possible, feeding real-world usage insights back to R&D.
Partner closely with stakeholders across functions to understand the real constraints. Ask the right questions, bridge technical and non-technical perspectives, and align on outcomes before jumping to solutions.
Define and track success through business metrics, flow metrics, and feedback loops that make performance visible and actionable.
Contribute to technical direction by evaluating tools, documenting patterns, and creating reusable foundations that help the team scale its impact.
What you'll bring
A Technologist at Heart -
Genuinely invested in technology, the foundational and the cutting-edge in equal measure. You're as energised by a well-designed API integration as you are by the latest foundation model release. You reach for the simplest solution that solves the problem well, rather than forcing new technology when proven approaches would do. AI is a powerful part of your toolkit, but it sits on top of solid engineering fundamentals, not in place of them.
Competent, Confident Coding Skills -
You can build working solutions end-to-end, write clean and maintainable code, and debug effectively. Whether your skills were honed in a traditional engineering role, through building automations, or shipping side projects, what matters is that you can deliver production-quality work independently.
AI
& LLM
Technical Depth -
Strong proficiency in at least one modern scripting language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) and a solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and integration patterns. Deep, practical experience with modern AI technologies, specifically: Prompt engineering as a core discipline: designing effective system prompts, managing context windows, structuring multi-turn interactions, evaluating output quality, and iterating systematically on prompt design.
Model selection and cost-performance trade-offs:
understanding when a smaller fine-tuned model outperforms a general-purpose large one, when RAG is the right architecture versus expanding the context window, and how to make principled decisions about capability versus cost.
Agentic architecture patterns:
tool use, multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop designs, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and production-grade reliability patterns.Practical fluency across the LLM ecosystem: hands-on experience with models from Anthropic, OpenAI, open-source alternatives, and the judgment to know which to reach for and when.
AI Safety & Risk Awareness -
You think critically about how the solutions you build could be exploited, misused, or produce unintended consequences. You know how to design appropriate guardrails (input validation, output filtering, access controls, prompt injection defences, and data leakage prevention) and you treat these as first-class engineering concerns.
Systems Thinking & Diagnostic Rigour -
The ability to look at a complex process and see the constraint. Comfortable mapping how work flows end-to-end, identifying bottlenecks, and tracing problems to root causes before proposing solutions. You instinctively ask "what's actually blocking flow here?" before asking "what model should I use?"
Business System Expertise -
Familiarity with the landscape of enterprise business systems, CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo), support platforms (Zendesk), integration and orchestration tools (Workato), AI platforms (Relevance AI), and enterprise search and knowledge tools (Glean). You don't need deep experience with all of these, but to understand what they do, how they fit together, and be willing to build with and across them. A strong understanding of enterprise data models and workflows is essential.
Broad Functional Understanding -
Ability to have meaningful conversations with stakeholders across diverse domains and quickly understand their unique needs.
End-to-End Ownership -
Track record of owning complex initiatives from discovery through delivery. Comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving to measurable outcomes independently.
Product Mindset -
Ability to scope MVPs, prioritise ruthlessly, and deliver iteratively. In addition, consider adoption, user experience, and business outcomes.
Preferred requirements
Experience with GitLab platform and CI/CD workflows
Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
Familiarity with value stream mapping, flow metrics, or Theory of Constraints thinking
Experience with low-code/no-code orchestration tools (n8n, Make, Workato) alongside custom development
Previous startup or high-growth company experience
Experience mentoring or leading technical projects with junior engineers
About the team
You will join the Enterprise Technology & AI team. We're the backbone of the organisation, driving transformation in how GitLab team members make decisions, operate at scale, and deliver results for our customers.
We believe the best AI solutions start with understanding the system, not the technology. We value people who think in constraints and flow, who build with conviction, and who never stop learning. We work in an all-remote, asynchronous setting, guided by GitLab's values of collaboration, results, efficiency, diversity, inclusion and belonging, iteration, and transparency.

Our clients include startups, digital agencies, and tech platforms in industries such as SaaS, MarTech, FinTech, and EdTech. Unlike an outsourcing agency, we place you directly with a client where you’re hired in-house as a valued member of their team.
Role Type: Full-time
Engagement: Independent Contractor
About the company
Our client is an innovative AI-driven media agency at the forefront of the creator economy and digital marketing space. Specializing in cutting-edge generative technology, the team develops sophisticated AI digital twins for high-level business owners, coaches, and consultants. Their proprietary systems automate the entire content lifecycle—from video production to multi-channel distribution—enabling global leaders to scale their online presence and lead generation without the need for constant filming.
With over 1,000 successful implementations, this fast-growing company is redefining how professional expertise is packaged and delivered across social platforms and digital education. The team is driven by a mission to eliminate the friction of content creation through advanced automation and realistic synthetic media. Candidates will join a results-oriented, forward-thinking environment that thrives on innovation, technical excellence, and high-impact digital transformation for a diverse range of international industries.
Job Summary
We are looking for a high-caliber Client Success Manager to become the operational heartbeat of a rapidly growing creative agency. Our team is at the forefront of the AI revolution, producing hyper-realistic digital clones for high-profile business owners to scale their social media presence. As we expand, we need a seasoned professional to take full ownership of the client journey. This isn’t a support role; it is a leadership position where you will bridge the gap between clients and our production team, and build the processes that will define our future. If you are an experienced CSM who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led environments and is excited by AI-driven content, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary, proactive point of contact for all clients via WhatsApp, Slack, and email, ensuring no query goes unanswered.
Own the end-to-end client onboarding process, setting clear expectations and establishing trust from day one.
Manage high-volume content delivery schedules, coordinating between internal virtual assistants, editors, and copywriters to meet deadlines.
Perform rigorous quality control on all AI-generated video outputs to ensure brand consistency and technical excellence before delivery.
Oversee social media scheduling across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Identify operational bottlenecks and create SOPs to move the business toward a more mature, scalable infrastructure.
Proactively monitor account health, identifying and resolving potential retention risks before they escalate.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Client Success Manager, Account Manager, or Delivery Manager, specifically within a marketing or creative agency.
Exceptional professional English (written and spoken) with the ability to manage client expectations with authority and empathy.
High-level organizational skills with the ability to track multiple deliverables across 20+ active accounts simultaneously.
Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to a full-time, dedicated role; we are looking for a long-term partner, not a freelancer with multiple projects.
Technical comfort and curiosity; you must be willing to dive into AI tools like HeyGen and ChatGPT as part of your daily workflow.
A "builder" mindset—the ability to take ownership of an operationally immature business and implement structure without constant direction.
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and de-escalate client concerns independently.
Direct experience with AI video generation tools or short-form video content agencies.
Proficiency in Notion for project tracking and documentation.
Experience working directly with founders in early-stage, fast-moving companies.
Background in personal branding or social media strategy for professional sectors (e.g., Real Estate, Medical, Finance).
Benefits

🚀 Opportunity to lead in the cutting-edge AI content space

At Ramp, people are the single biggest lever on our trajectory, and the bar for who joins this team gets higher every quarter, not lower. We're hiring a Recruiter who treats recruiting as a research discipline as much as a relationship one: someone who can map a market, identify the operators who'll outperform their peers, and run a full-cycle process that wins them.
You'll own end-to-end hiring across Sales and GTM functions, from first conversation through offer close, and partner with GTM leadership to translate ambitious hiring plans into real teams. The recruiters who do this best at Ramp combine craft on the front end (research, identification, calibration) with execution on the back end (closing, candidate experience, pipeline discipline). We're looking for both.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Use AI and research to find top talent. You'll build target lists of high performers at peer and aspirational companies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Sales Navigator, Gong signals, internal data, and AI tools like Claude. We expect AI to be part of your daily workflow, not a novelty, but a core part of how you identify, qualify, and reach candidates.
- Calibrate quickly and map the market. For every new search, you'll develop a clear point of view on what "great" looks like, who fits the profile, and where to find them, then share that POV with hiring managers as a written artifact rather than just a slate of resumes.
- Run thoughtful, personalized outreach. The best replies come from outbound that's grounded in real research, a candidate's territory, deal motion, or recent move. We care more about reply rate and onsite conversion than send volume.
- Own the full cycle, from first outreach through offer close, including pipeline hygiene in Ashby, stakeholder updates, and offer construction.
- Close candidates with competing offers. Many of our strongest GTM hires are weighing multiple options, and you'll partner with hiring managers and leadership to build conviction, sequence references, and run a closing motion that wins on substance.
- Be a strategic partner to GTM leaders. Push back when a search is mis-scoped, surface compensation reality early, and translate hiring-manager wishlists into a concrete profile within days.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience that's fair, transparent, and fast. Feedback is honest; offers move in days, not weeks.
- Improve how we hire by contributing to process changes, comp benchmarking, employer brand, and how Ramp evaluates GTM talent.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of full-cycle GTM/Sales or G&A recruiting, ideally in a high-growth or top-tier startup environment where the bar was non-negotiable.
- A real track record of identifying strong talent, not just running searches that closed. Bring examples of candidates you found, ran a process for, and who became top performers.
- Comfort using AI in your day-to-day workflow. You already use LLMs to research candidates, draft personalized outreach, summarize calls, or surface signals from messy data, or you're eager to. We see AI fluency as core to how recruiting works going forward.
- Research instincts. You can articulate why a given candidate is in the top decile of their cohort, not just that they have the right title at the right company.
- Closing skill. You've personally closed senior hires against competing offers from top-tier companies.
- Data literacy. You're comfortable in Ashby (or equivalent ATS) and with funnel metrics, and willing to challenge a hiring manager with the numbers when needed.
- High urgency operating mode. You book next steps on the call, not after, and you own the candidate's experience through to signature.
- Excellent written communication. Your outbound and your candidate updates are the work product, and they should be specific, sharp, and not template-driven.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Direct experience recruiting AEs, Sales Managers, RevOps, or Sales Leadership at a high-growth fintech, SaaS, or infra company.
- Experience building or contributing to an AI-augmented research workflow.
- Familiarity with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Sales Navigator, and Gong.

About the Role
As adjoe enters its next critical phase of global expansion, with a strategic priority of building a scalable and predictable revenue engine. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Manager to advance our GTM strategy and drive global execution with our teams in Europe, North America, and APAC. This is not a maintenance role; it is a creation role at the heart of our commercial strategy.
Your mission is to shape and refine our global GTM strategy and take strategic priorities through execution to achieve results. You will define and implement the operations that will ensure we can continue to scale efficiently across all markets.
Reporting directly to our Managing Director (GTM) and working closely with regional VPs of Revenue, the wider adjoe leadership team, and our Product and Tech departments, you will act as a strategic partner and operational bridge across teams. You’ll help translate strategic goals into execution, ensuring alignment from planning to delivery. This role blends analytical and strategic thinking with hands-on collaboration—supporting high-impact initiatives, guiding teams through complex deals, and driving seamless execution from partner engagement to integration.
What You Will Do:
- GTM Strategy: Partner with our Managing Director (GTM) and regional VPs of Revenue (Europe, North America, APAC) to design and implement a scalable global GTM strategy, defining the end-to-end sales processes and operational cadence.
- Business Development: Actively support our Sales teams on high-priority, strategic accounts across all stages (deal, onboarding, and scaling). Support our Growth teams in strategic account development (e.g. new product upsell strategy).
- Sales Enablement & Productivity: Act as the primary bridge between Product Marketing and the global Sales organization, developing a continuous enablement program to equip teams with the knowledge and assets to win.
- Reporting & Pipeline Management: Architect and build our global sales reporting framework to establish a single source of truth for pipeline health, forecasting, and performance KPIs.
- Sales Incentive Design & Execution: Design, model, and manage a motivating global sales commission plan, from initial hands-on creation to eventual strategic oversight as the team scales.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the operational bridge between Sales, Product, and Tech teams, driving clarity, alignment, and accountability across markets.
- Future Growth - Team Development: Build and lead the foundation of the Revenue Operations function, establishing processes and a structure that can grow with the company’s expansion.
Who You Are:
- Strategic & Analytical: 2–3 years of experience in Strategy Consulting (MBB), high-growth Start-ups or Scale-ups, or VC/PE, with a strong record in strategy development and execution, ideally GTM oriented.
- Business Acumen: Experienced in formulation (and ideally execution) of commercial strategy and GTM motions. Solid understanding or strong interest in AdTech, including the key performance metrics and sales cycles common in the space.
- Builder’s Mindset: You combine structure and pragmatism—equally comfortable architecting multi-year GTM plans and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Executive Presence & Partnership: Strong business acumen and the ability to work closely with senior leadership and external partners. You influence through insight, build trust across teams, and act as a reliable partner who turns strategy into execution.
- Problem-Solving & Ownership: You bring a structured, yet adaptive approach to challenges—leading high-impact initiatives from idea to outcome with a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit.
- Global Communicator: Excellent communication skills in English and German.
- Academic Foundation: Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or STEM from a top-tier university. An MBA is a plus but not required.
Our Commitment to Your Success:
- Invest in Your Future: You’ll join a high-performing, rapidly scaling global company with a clear vision, while directly influencing the company's trajectory and sharing in its success. We’re committed to your growth through regular feedback, mentoring, and our development programs, you’ll expand your skillset and build a long-term career at adjoe.
- Easy Arrival to adjoe: From signing to settling in Hamburg, we’ve got you and your family covered, including a relocation bonus, and personal support to help you build your life here, making your move smooth and stress-free.
- Live Your Best Life, at Work and Beyond: Flexible hours, remote Fridays and 30 vacation days. You’ll also have three weeks of remote work each year, access to an 24/7 in-house gym with classes, and mental health support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Thrive Where You Work: Our Hamburg HQ offers more than a view of the Alster lake. You’ll find a vibrant office with top-notch equipment, open collaboration spaces, and plenty of snacks and drinks to keep ideas (and energy) flowing.
We welcome applications from people who will contribute to the diversity of our company.
