About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it.
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Teleport Cloud takes our traditionally open-source and enterprise access plane and provides a SaaS option for our customers to adopt.
As such, our team is building our production and software as a service infrastructure from scratch. We tackle the hard problems that allow our customers to trust us for secure and reliable access to their infrastructure.
Excellent security is table stakes; a security breach can compromise our customers' infrastructure. We must also balance security with maintaining productivity and building a compelling product offering for our customers.
Most of the code you will write will be written in Go. We strongly encourage you to explore our GitHub Repo https://github.com/gravitational to get a taste of what we are building.
Important information
- We require to be in-person in our Oakland, CA, office for the onboarding week.
- We conduct background checks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Re-engineer the core teleport product to scale globally and optimize routing latency for teams distributed around the world
- Re-write portions of the core Teleport product to enable our goals for the cloud product
- Build out our monitoring and observability stack to alert us to production issues and minimize false positives so we can all get a good sleep at night
- Work on automation to tackle and eliminate the highest toil activities
- Execute on traditional operation challenges, such as patching, scaling, backup and restore, disaster recovery, and more
- Investigate the outages and incidents our customers experience with our product
- Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7/365 system uptime.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Willingness to collaboratively work with Teleports’ engineers on coding challenge in Go https://github.com/gravitational/careers/blob/main/challenges/sre/challenge.md as part of the interview process.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering and/or SRE/DevOps roles.
- Strong experience in Linux systems, networking, containers, and troubleshooting.
- Have solid Go and Kubernetes development experience.
- Strong experience developing scripts, automation, or lightweight programs, submitting patches to the product codebase, or building tooling that incorporates AI agents into operational workflows.
- AWS Cloud experience is preferred, GCP experience is acceptable.
- Systems Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki etc.
- Operate and support the observability platform to maintain visibility and reliability.
- Experience operate in a team where sound security choices are critical, and where reasoning about correctness and system invariants (e.g. formal or property-based methods) is valued.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
- Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.
- Excellent communication skills.
HOW WE HIRE
Our process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. We skip performative rounds and focus on what matters: understanding how you think and what you can do.
For this role, we use a take-home challenge that mirrors real work at Teleport — on your time, your way. You'll have support from the team throughout.
1. Zoom meeting with a Teleport recruiter. You’ll learn about the company, our products, compensation philosophy, interview process, and key requirements.
2. Zoom meeting with the Hiring Manager or a Lead Engineer. They will walk you through the coding challenge and answer your questions.
3. Coding challenge collaboration. The day after your meeting with the Hiring Manager or Lead Engineer, you join a Slack channel and complete a coding challenge in Go https://github.com/gravitational/careers/blob/main/challenges/sre/challenge.md using GitHub. The challenge usually takes about 2 weeks and ends with a Zoom meeting with the Hiring Manager and a member of the interview team to review your solution.
4. If your challenge solution meets our bar, you'll receive an offer to join Teleport.
Why Teleport
You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work shows up directly in the product. We're not a big company, you won't get lost in a crowd. You'll have the freedom and autonomy to do what you're great at, alongside teammates who care about doing it right and want to see you succeed. The work is collaborative, there's real room to grow, and the mission is one worth showing up for.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we're genuinely passionate about what we're building.
The Benefits
At Teleport, we believe your career is more important than a list of perks. That's why we focus on making your day-to-day the best it can be — giving you the autonomy, access, and support to do the best work of your career.
- Extensive health coverage
- Annual expense budget
- Rest and recovery policies that maximize your ability to recharge

Senior Software Engineer - AI & Agentic Architecture
This is a senior individual-contributor role combining deep hands-on engineering with multiple agentic frameworks & SDKs, harnesses, MCP, and APIs, technical leadership, and close collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams. You'll design and ship agentic systems, developer tooling, and reusable platform capabilities that improve productivity across SIE.
What you'll do:
Agentic & AI Engineering
Design, build, and operate production-quality agentic applications using agentic SDKs/harnesses — including multi-agent orchestration, subagent delegation, tool integration, and lifecycle hooks.
Design Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool and resource interfaces that give coding agents/harnesses safe, reliable access to backend systems and enterprise data.
Engineer prompts for reliable structured output (JSON schemas, few-shot examples, validation/retry loops) and build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve output quality.
Manage context effectively across long documents, multi-turn conversations, and multi-agent handoffs; design escalation and human-in-the-loop patterns for production reliability.
Developer Productivity
Configure and extend Codex/Claude Code for team-wide use:
AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md
hierarchies, custom slash commands, Agent Skills, path-specific rules, and plan mode.
Integrate agentic development into CI/CD pipelines for automated code review, test generation, and PR feedback, tuned to minimize false positives and duplicate findings.
Build and maintain MCP server integrations (project- and user-scoped) that extend agent-native development capabilities across engineering workflows.
Identify high-value opportunities for AI-assisted development and design reusable capabilities that multiple teams can adopt, not just one-off solutions.
Discovery, Prototyping & Production Delivery
Partner directly with engineering teams to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities through hands-on discovery.
Rapidly prototype and validate new AI capabilities with real users, then take successful prototypes into secure, observable, maintainable production systems.
Own the full lifecycle: implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
Technical Leadership
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, and troubleshooting of agentic systems.
Mentor engineers on agentic design patterns, prompt engineering, and agent-native development practices.
Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and documentation that help other teams build effectively with agentic development tools.
Requirements
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on work building and operating AI/LLM-powered or agentic applications.
Strong programming skills (Java, Python, Go, Rust, or C++) and solid engineering fundamentals — API design, testing, debugging, code review, maintainable code.
Practical, production-grade experience with agentic SDKs/harnesses, MCP, and LLMs — tool use, orchestration, RAG, context management, structured output, and evaluation.
Experience designing MCP tool/resource interfaces and reasoning about tool selection, error handling, and reliability in multi-agent systems.
Demonstrated experience integrating AI into CI/CD and developer workflows.
Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces, evaluate tradeoffs, and make pragmatic engineering decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience mentoring and leading through influence.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise across agentic architecture, MCP integration, Codex/Claude Code configuration, prompt engineering, and context management.
Experience building multi-agent research or customer support systems, or structured data extraction pipelines.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps in support of AI/agentic infrastructure.
Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and AI evaluation frameworks.
Contributions to open-source projects involving AI, agentic systems, or developer tooling.
Strong systems thinking — understands how models, agents, tools, context, APIs, data, and infrastructure fit together as production systems, and can reason about dependencies and tradeoffs across the stack.
A track record of adapting quickly to new AI tools, models, and frameworks as the space evolves.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Learn about the product, SparkLoop, Subscriber Signals, and how creators get value from our connected ecosystem of apps and tools. Meet key internal stakeholders and our external counsel. Review our most common legal agreements, privacy questions, and customer security requests to assess where we have risk, opportunity, ambiguity, or recurring work that can be handled more efficiently.
- First month: Get your arms around active data processing, privacy, AI, and other legal initiatives, and build a "what's on deck" view of upcoming legal needs. Map the recurring privacy support questions arising across Kit—particularly around Subscriber Signals, and begin designing a scalable intake, guidance, and escalation system. Partner with Sales, Sponsorships, Security, Product, and Engineering to move faster without cutting corners. Take ownership of GDPR and data compliance vetting and establish a clear process for responding to customer security questionnaires.
- First six months: You’re the go-to partner for legal considerations across the business, particularly for our product, engineering, security, and GTM teams. Build scalable systems—such as playbooks, templates, intake processes, and self-service guidance—for answering recurring privacy, data-use, and compliance questions. Partner throughout the product lifecycle on initiatives and feature releases, with particular attention to Subscriber Signals and our connected ecosystem of products. Prioritize our biggest legal risks, reduce unnecessary reliance on outside counsel, and streamline legal workflows to increase speed, confidence, and self-service.
- First year: Help Kit operate at a higher level of legal maturity across privacy, compliance, product counsel, commercial contracts, and security support. Establish durable systems that allow teams to answer common questions independently while escalating higher-risk matters appropriately. Help us treat privacy, data, and compliance as strategic enablers—not just boxes to check—and significantly reduce our reliance on outside counsel for work we can handle effectively in-house.
WHAT WILL S.E.T. YOU UP FOR SUCCESS
Skills
- Deep expertise in data, compliance, and product—this is where you'll spend most of your time.
- Strong ability to navigate U.S. and European data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including familiarity with data controller vs. processor distinctions and how they shape vendor and product decisions.
- Ability to translate privacy and compliance requirements into scalable playbooks, templates, intake processes, and self-service guidance
- Experience supporting customer security questionnaires and partnering effectively with security, sales, product, and engineering teams
- Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and the legal, privacy, and customer requirements associated with it, even if you haven't directly owned a certification process
- Understanding of intellectual property law, especially related to brand, content, and software
- Understanding of commercial contracts—you'll become the go-to person for these at Kit.
- Clear communicator and trusted advisor—able to simplify complexity and help others make informed decisions
Experiences
- Experience as in-house counsel at a tech company or serving a tech portfolio at a top-tier firm that's well-known for their work with startups (e.g., Fenwick & West, Cooley)
- J.D. from an accredited law school in the United States
- Active member in good standing of a State Bar Association
Traits
- Strategic thinker who sees legal as a lever, not a blocker
- Deeply curious and business-oriented—you start by understanding the goals, then explore the smartest paths to get there.
- Collaborative partner who can navigate conflict productively
- Deep belief that creator success is our success—you consider both Kit and our customers in every recommendation
- A "how might we" problem-solver who finds creative, business-aligned paths through legal challenges
WHAT WON'T SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS
- Needing a team of in-house peers or co-counsel to pressure-test every decision—you'll be our sole in-house legal expert, with outside counsel available as needed
- A strongly risk-averse or "no-before-yes" mindset—we need you to help us move, not just stop us from tripping
- Thinking in a legal vacuum—if you're not factoring in our goals, numbers, or creators, your advice won't land
- Struggling with speed or ownership—if you prefer long timelines or wait to be told what to do, this won't be the right environment. We move quickly and expect people to take initiative, spot problems, and drive solutions.

Kit https://kit.com/ is the email marketing platform experts choose to grow their audience, deepen their relationships, and build a business around the work they love. For coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, there isn't a better marketing hub to rely on to grow audiences, automate email marketing, and sell digital products — all within one platform.
More importantly, there isn't a team more committed to helping creators earn a living. We're on a mission to help creators earn $1 billion using our creator marketing platform. We have always been 100% independent and 100% remote.
We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we look for people who have enthusiasm and belief in our mission, vision, and values to join our team. We're also embracing AI thoughtfully — both in how we build and how we hire to ensure our team is adaptable, innovative, and ready for what's next.
THE ROLE
Kit is growing, and so are the legal complexities of our business. We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to help us navigate them with clarity, speed, and commercial savvy. You'll serve as in-house legal subject matter expert, partnering closely with the executive team to lead product legal strategy and execution—especially around privacy, data, AI and compliance, commercial contracts, customer security requirements, and scalable legal support for our teams. A key focus will be helping Kit respond to a growing volume of privacy questions—particularly as one of our newer products, Subscriber Signals https://kit.com/features/signals, evolves by building practical, repeatable systems that provide timely and consistent guidance at scale.
You'll help shape the legal backbone of a fast-moving tech company with multiple revenue streams—including SaaS, digital commerce, paid reccomendations, and advertising—and a rapidly growing platform for creators. To advise the business effectively, you'll develop a deep understanding of Kit, SparkLoop https://sparkloop.app/, Subscriber Signals, and how creators get value from our connected ecosystem of apps and tools. You'll be at the center of complex, cross-functional problems where product, business, and legal strategy meet—all in service of helping creators build more valuable businesses.
YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM
You'll report to our Chief Operating Officer, Brian Bevel https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-bevel-92895ba/, and partner regularly with leaders across product, sales, finance, and people operations. You'll own our core legal work in-house, reduce the need for outside counsel, and know when specialized outside counsel is truly needed.

Location: Home based - EMEA
We are hiring a
General Counsel
, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role leads Canonical’s global Legal and Compliance function.
This is a unique opportunity for an
exceptional and commercially-minded senior lawyer
to lead the legal and compliance function of a profitable, fast-growing technology company that is privately held with the intention to list on a public exchange. We’re looking for someone with genuine fluency in the software industry and in open source dynamics, who can translate that insight into clear positions on licensing, commercial contracts and risk, and hands-on execution.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will
own Canonical's legal, regulatory and governance posture
and lead a distributed team across EMEA and the Americas. Your primary challenge will be to continue building both the team and the architecture: a management layer across two regions, and the governance, contracting and controls a public company needs, in an environment that regularly does things the industry has not done before. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams on licensing and IP questions, with the security function on customer assurance, and you will advise the Board and its committees directly.
In our selection process, we
prioritize intellect and judgement
alongside depth of practice. We are looking for someone with a strong academic background, an active licence to practice, and demonstrable exposure to a multilayered global operational environment.
Location:
This role will be based remotely in EMEA time zones.
The role entails
Leading the global Legal and Compliance function: setting it's structure, standards and priorities across EMEA and the Americas.
Building and managing a management capability: hire and develop managers, set objectives, review performance against a clear bar, and address under-performance directly.
Setting the operating cadence of the function: intake and prioritization of legal work, service expectations with internal clients, and reporting on workload and risk to the leadership team.
Owning public-market readiness on the legal side: corporate governance, group and entity structure, delegated authority, policies, disclosure controls and records, in partnership with Finance.
Advising the CEO, COO, CFO and the Board, and supporting in Board and committee meetings.
Owning the commercial contracting framework: standard templates, negotiating positions, and a deviation and escalation process that makes commitments visible before they are signed.
Leading intellectual property and open source licensing strategy, including copyleft, trademark and the terms on which Ubuntu and our products are distributed.
Owning the global compliance programme: data protection and privacy, export controls and trade compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, competition and AI regulation.
Managing litigation, disputes and regulatory engagement, together with the external counsel panel, its budget and its quality.
Advising on M&A, partnerships, strategic alliances and financing as the company grows.
What we are looking for in you
An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
A degree in law, or equivalent, and an active licence to practice in an EMEA or Americas jurisdiction.
Substantial senior in-house experience in a global technology or software business.
Proven experience leading a distributed legal team, including managing managers across regions and time zones.
A track record of setting and holding a high performance bar: hiring well, developing people, and dealing with under performance directly rather than waiting it out.
Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function, including deciding what is retained, delegated and sent to external counsel.
Technology related experience of:
negotiating and owning commercial technology contracts, including enterprise software and subscriptions, channel and reseller agreements, hardware manufacturer agreements, cloud and services
advising on open source licensing, including permissive and copyleft licences, and familiarity with how open source communities operate.
Experience of, or demonstrable readiness for, public company governance: listing preparation, board and committee support, disclosure and controls.
Depth in at least two of: data protection and privacy, IP and trademark, export controls and trade, competition, or disputes.
Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, hold colleagues accountable, and share ideas without hesitation.
Professional written and spoken English with excellent drafting and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.

Nice-to-have skills
Experience taking a company through an IPO, or practicing as counsel inside a listed company.
A technical or engineering background, or fluency in how software is built and shipped.
Experience of a subscription or recurring-revenue business model.
Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function.
A qualification in more than one jurisdiction.

About GDFT
Gaming, Developer, and Future Technology (GDFT) are the technology specialists at PlayStation. We build the underlying systems that power core platform capabilities and developer tools. Our mission is to enable world-class gaming experiences by delivering low-level, high-performance technology for PlayStation platforms.
The Role
We are looking for an engineer to join the GDFT department, working on the design and optimisation of PlayStation’s real-time game streaming technologies.
You will contribute to the development of low-latency video streaming systems across current and future PlayStation platforms, working on performance-critical areas spanning frame capture, media pipelines, codec configuration, system services and streaming transport.
The role is particularly suited to engineers with a strong C/C++ background and experience working with native video or media systems, including embedded devices, TV firmware, set-top boxes, consoles, or similar.
Our work sits at the intersection of product engineering and R&D. Alongside delivering production technology, engineers are encouraged to investigate new approaches to reducing end-to-end latency, improving visual quality and reducing bitrate, using measurement and experimentation to determine where meaningful improvements can be made.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop, optimise and maintain low-level C and C++ components within PlayStation’s game streaming stack.
Investigate opportunities to reduce end-to-end streaming latency across frame capture, buffering, encoding, transport, decoding and presentation.
Optimise the use and configuration of hardware video encoders, applying knowledge of codec behaviour and low-latency encoding techniques.
Analyse existing media pipelines to identify unnecessary buffering, memory copies, synchronisation delays and other sources of latency.
Use software and hardware instrumentation to measure system behaviour, validate hypotheses and quantify the impact of performance changes.
Investigate and debug issues across user-space applications, system services and daemon-level components.
Prototype and evaluate new approaches to improving streaming quality, latency and bandwidth efficiency.
Work with engineers and researchers across the wider organisation on areas such as codec development, rate control, Forward Error Correction and emerging media technologies.
Contribute technical findings and recommendations to design discussions, working with senior engineers to determine appropriate production solutions.
Collaborate across teams to integrate and validate streaming technologies within PlayStation platform software.
Attend periodic in-person workshops or team events, with travel possible a few times per year.
What We Are Looking For
This is a mid-level opportunity. You should bring some of the following skills and experience:
Strong proficiency in C and C++.
Experience developing native, performance-sensitive software rather than primarily web or managed application stacks.
Experience working with real-time video, media pipelines, codecs or embedded multimedia systems.
Practical understanding of video compression and media formats, including concepts such as chroma subsampling, bit depth and colour representation, with familiarity of codecs such as AVC, HEVC or AV1.
Understanding of concepts relevant to low-latency video encoding, which may include GOP structures, reference frames, rate control, VBV, quantisation parameters, slices, tiles or hardware codec APIs.
Strong debugging, profiling and performance-analysis skills.
An ability to investigate complex technical problems, identify likely causes and use evidence and instrumentation to support conclusions.
Comfortable working in unfamiliar parts of a large system and developing an understanding of how multiple components interact.
An experimental mindset, with an interest in prototyping, measuring and evaluating alternative technical approaches.
Ability to contribute to technical discussions and work with senior engineers when deciding how findings should be taken forward.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous; we do not expect candidates to have experience across all of them:
Familiarity with techniques for evaluating video codec performance, including bitrate/quality/latency trade-offs and objective or perceptual video quality metrics (such as PSNR and VMAF).
Familiarity with compressed video bitstreams and codec signalling, such as NAL units/OBUs, parameter sets, profiles/levels and supplemental enhancement information.
Experience developing native video players, media frameworks or codec pipelines on TVs, set-top boxes, consoles, mobile devices or other embedded platforms.
Experience configuring or integrating hardware video encoders or decoders.
Deeper knowledge of H.264, HEVC, AV1 or other current and emerging video codecs, beyond high-level API configuration, such as reference structures, rate-control behaviour, bitstream structure or encoder-specific optimisation.
Experience optimising real-time video for low latency, visual quality or bitrate efficiency.
Familiarity with frame capture, graphics presentation pipelines, framebuffers or GPU/CPU synchronisation.
Experience identifying and reducing memory copies, queueing delays, memory-bandwidth limitations or other system-level performance bottlenecks.
Experience working with system services, daemons, firmware interfaces or other low-level platform components.
Familiarity with techniques such as content-aware encoding, region-of-interest encoding, adaptive resolution or frame rate, alternative reference-frame strategies or similar streaming optimisations.
Experience with Forward Error Correction or other techniques for improving the resilience of real-time media.
Experience with SIMD, vectorisation, cache optimisation or multithreaded performance tuning with instrumentation.
Experience with console or embedded systems development environments.
Experience with Git, Jenkins or similar CI/CD workflows.
