ABOUT ELEVENLABS
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.
We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Lithic is the modern card issuing and processing platform empowering ambitious financial companies to build the future of payments.
Our infrastructure powers card programs for 100+ innovative clients, from fintechs reimagining credit and digital banking to platforms transforming disbursements and spend management. Companies like Mercury, Flex, and Novo rely on Lithic's developer-friendly APIs, direct network connections, and flawless reconciliation to launch and scale card programs in weeks, not years.
We're building a future where access to better financial products materially improves people's lives, free from the constraints of 30-year-old mainframes and legacy processors. We're proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Stripes, and Mastercard, along with many others.
We're a team of 170+ across 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City.
We are hiring a Support Engineer to join our
API Support
team. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role. You'll own customer issues end-to-end: triaging incoming tickets, debugging production behavior across our authorizer and API surface, reasoning through configuration and data flow, and driving problems to resolution, often without needing to hand anything off. You'll work across card lifecycle, authorization decisioning, webhooks, account holder KYC, disputes, and the other configurable layers of our platform, using internal tools, Snowflake, Grafana/Loki, and AI-assisted workflows to move fast.
When issues reveal deeper product gaps, you'll partner with Engineering and Product to surface patterns and get problems resolved upstream. You will also partner with Solutions and Product Delivery to ensure that we deliver clear, timely, and charming customer communications. Your judgment directly shapes customer trust, product reliability, and our ability to scale the Support function without scaling headcount linearly with ticket volume.
Lithic is the card-issuing and payments platform powering some of the most ambitious fintechs and embedded-finance programs in the market. Our customers build on our APIs to issue cards, move money, and run card programs at scale, which means the questions that reach us are rarely "where's the button?" They're "why did this authorization decline at 3:42am ET?", "why is this webhook firing twice?", "is this dispute eligible under Reg E?", "what's the latency on our tokenization endpoint right now?" Customers don't remember when things work. They remember when things break, how fast we fix them, and whether we took the time to set things right. As a Support Engineer at Lithic, you're the person who makes that moment go well.
What you'll do:
Own support tickets from first response through confirmed resolution. No tossing them over the fence.
Debug independently by tracing system state, API logs, authorizer decisions, webhook delivery, and data flow across production.
Diagnose issues spanning card issuance, authorization decisioning, transactions and settlement, webhooks, account holder KYC, disputes, and other configurable behaviors of the Lithic platform. A typical investigation might involve querying Snowflake to trace a transaction's lifecycle, checking Grafana dashboards for latency anomalies, pulling up the customer's integration in Retool, and documenting the resolution in The Vault
Use internal tooling, Snowflake/dbt marts, Grafana/Loki, and AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, internal agents) to investigate and resolve issues efficiently.
Maintain high operational rigor in triage, prioritization, SLA adherence, and customer communication.
Surface recurring failure patterns that inform product and engineering improvements. Drive permanent fixes, not just one-off resolutions.
Contribute to The Vault (our Notion KCS knowledge base). Write the article you wished existed when you picked up the ticket.
Create and update internal tooling using Metabase, Retool, Grafana, and Snowflake.
What you'll bring:
3+ years in a technical, execution-heavy role: Support Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, TAM, or similar. Ideally in fintech, payments, or developer-platform B2B SaaS.
Strong debugging instincts and comfort operating in production environments where you won't always have a playbook.
Comfortable with using and debugging REST API calls, webhooks, and configuration-driven systems. You are familiar with OpenAPI specs, JSON payloads, and can work through issues with HTTP calls fluently.
SQL chops. You can independently write a query against a data warehouse (we use Snowflake + dbt) to answer a customer question without needing to ping a data analyst.
Ability to reason through complex system behavior from first principles, not just follow runbooks.
Clear, direct written communication internally and customer facing. You explain what happened, why, and what you did about it, without hedging or jargon.
A strong bias toward ownership. You'd rather solve the problem than route the ticket.
Comfortable using AI tools like (LLMs and coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor) as a part of your daily workflow.
Experience working in ticketing systems (Zendesk, Jira, or equivalent)
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in a remote environment
The annual US salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
This is a remote position. However, candidates must be located in the United States, Canada (Ontario or British Columbia), Netherlands, Poland, or Czech Republic. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Our mission is to empower data practitioners to create and disseminate organizational knowledge. dbt Core is the open-source engine at the heart of this mission, used by tens of thousands of analysts and engineers to transform data with the rigor of software engineering. We are looking for a systems-oriented engineer to join the small, expert team that builds and maintains this foundational piece of the modern data stack. About The Team
The dbt Core team are the stewards of the open-source engine that powers the modern data stack for tens of thousands of practitioners. This small, high-trust group of systems engineers tackles the most fundamental challenges in dbt: ensuring the performance, reliability, and architectural integrity of
dbt
itself. They not only own the core execution engine but also architect the crucial adapter framework that connects dbt to a growing ecosystem of databases and data platforms.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Core & Adapters team, you will be a steward of the performance, reliability, and architectural integrity of dbt. You will tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems and take ownership of critical systems.
What You’ll Do
Dive deep into the dbt-core execution engine, using your systems expertise to identify, debug, and eliminate performance bottlenecks in our Python codebase.
Architect and implement improvements to our adapter interface, the crucial layer that connects dbt to a growing ecosystem of databases and data platforms, enabling the community to build more powerful and efficient integrations.
Debug complex, system-level issues that span from Linux process management and concurrency models to database query planning and network protocols.
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to the long-term architectural roadmap for dbt Core, making key decisions about what, how, and when we build to ensure its scalability and reliability for years to come.
Mentor other engineers and review contributions from our vibrant open-source community, upholding our high standards for code quality, testing, and design while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Take strong ownership of our distributed systems, troubleshoot complex production issues, and participate in an on-call rotation to maintain high availability and deliver a resilient platform experience.
Skills We’re Looking For
We are looking for an engineer with a strong performance and debugging mindset, excellent mental models for complex systems, and a deep curiosity for infrastructure and open-source software.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building and operating backend systems in a production environment.
Deep backend engineering experience and proficiency in Python.
A systematic, first-principles approach to problem-solving, with comfort navigating and debugging in Linux environments (e.g., understanding process scheduling, memory management, file systems).
Solid grasp of database internals, such as query execution engines, storage layers, indexing strategies, and transaction management.
Excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership, with the ability to balance technical depth with fast, iterative delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
A background in data warehousing, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
Professional experience writing production code in Go or Rust.
Experience contributing to or maintaining a popular open-source project.
Experience building compilers, interpreters, or developer tooling.
Familiarity with performance analysis tools like
perf
or
strace
.
The Team & Our Culture
You will join a small, high-trust team of senior and staff-level engineers who are passionate about building robust, well-crafted, and reliable software. We operate in a remote-first, asynchronous-friendly environment that values deep work, clear written communication, and a high degree of autonomy. We are deeply connected to our users and the open-source community, and we believe that the best solutions come from a rigorous, collaborative, and empathetic engineering process.

Perplexity is an AI-powered answer engine founded in December 2022 and growing rapidly as one of the world's leading AI platforms. Perplexity has raised over $1B in venture investment from some of the world's most visionary and successful leaders, including Elad Gil, Daniel Gross, Jeff Bezos, Accel, IVP, NEA, NVIDIA, Samsung, and many more. Our objective is to build accurate, trustworthy AI that powers decision-making for people and assistive AI wherever decisions are being made.
Throughout human history, change and innovation have always been driven by curious people. Today, curious people use Perplexity to answer more than 780 million queries every month—a number that's growing rapidly for one simple reason: everyone can be curious.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Perplexity is building the AI platform for professional finance: Perplexity Computer, our agentic platform that navigates tools, completes multi-step workflows, and connects to the market data, filings, transcripts, and research that investment professionals already rely on, and our API Platform, which powers search, retrieval, and automation across structured and unstructured financial data.
At the center of this is our Applied AI / Forward Deployed motion: we work closely with buyside firms—hedge funds, private equity, and asset managers—to distill their core investment processes and embed them into bespoke solutions built on our platform. That means sitting with analysts and PMs to understand how they screen, diligence, monitor, and decide, then translating those workflows into custom skills, agents, and connector configurations that run inside their daily process—and feeding what we learn back into the product so it compounds across customers.
As an AI Strategist on our Applied AI team focused on financial services, you are the subject matter expert who makes this real for investment professionals. This is a commercial and sales engineering role: you will own strategic customer engagements end to end—leading discovery, defining what to build, demonstrating frontier capabilities against real investment workflows, and driving deployments from first conversation through production and expansion. You are part customer owner, part product strategist, part sales engineer—fluent in both the language of the deal team and the language of the platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
OWN STRATEGIC FINANCIAL-SERVICES ENGAGEMENTS
- Lead discovery with banks, PE firms, hedge funds, and asset managers: what matters to the investment team, what problems they are solving, and which workflows are worth automating
- Define scope—what is the right thing to build—and own success metrics, pilot design, and commercial structure
- Drive deployment and rollout across front-office teams, with real revenue responsibility alongside Sales
BE THE DEMO AND TECHNICAL PROOF ENGINE
- Build and deliver compelling, workflow-specific demonstrations: screening, comps, diligence, earnings analysis, research synthesis, portfolio monitoring
- Prototype workflows, skills, and connector configurations hands-on in Perplexity Computer and the API Platform to prove value in the customer's own use cases
- Run pilots and evaluations that hold up to scrutiny from skeptical analysts and PMs
BRING DOMAIN JUDGMENT TO THE PRODUCT
- Translate how deal teams, research desks, and portfolio managers actually work into product, connector, and data-partnership priorities
- Assess whether we have the right market data, filings, transcripts, and research integrations to serve each finance sub-vertical—and drive the roadmap where we do not
- Codify repeatable engagement patterns: discovery templates, finance-specific reference workflows, demo libraries, and deployment playbooks
OPERATE AS THE COMMERCIAL LEAD
- Own senior relationships with investment professionals and technology leaders; move engagements through qualification, scoping, proposal, pricing, legal, and close
- Create urgency, write crisp follow-ups, and know when to push and when to wait
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of direct experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, equity research, or institutional asset management—you have built models, written memos, and lived the workflows you will now automate
- 6+ years of total experience spanning finance and some combination of technical GTM, sales engineering, solutions architecture, AI product strategy, or applied AI with customer exposure
- Deep fluency in front-office workflows: screening, comps, diligence, earnings, research synthesis, portfolio construction and monitoring
- Strong intuition for AI products, agents, and workflows, with the ability to understand technical systems without needing every detail pre-digested
- Comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with Forward Deployed Engineers and technical teams: scoping builds together, pairing on prototypes, and translating customer requirements into engineering-ready specs
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into scoped, executable deployment plans with clear success metrics
- Strong commercial instincts and comfort operating with MDs, partners, PMs, CIOs, and CTOs
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write proposals, customer memos, technical scopes, and launch narratives
- High agency and low ego, with the ability to run multiple complex customer workstreams in parallel and make progress before the playbook exists
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Hands-on experience building with agentic systems, tool-use workflows, MCP, or LLM APIs
- Working knowledge of institutional data platforms: FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, PitchBook, Morningstar, or similar
- Experience selling or deploying technology into regulated financial institutions, including security and compliance review
- Founder or early-startup operating experience
- Strong network across buy-side and sell-side institutions
If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every qualification listed above.

You will be empowered to shape our data infrastructure, define performance metrics, and drive change across a global ecosystem of vendors and partners.

- Own operational metrics, ensuring clarity, alignment, and regular review across stakeholders; bridge operations and finance on forecasting, spend tracking, and variance analysis to ensure operational data and financial reporting tell the same story.
- Lead analytics for quarterly cost reduction initiatives, including fulfillment COGS, freight costs, and cost per contact. Partner with Finance on total cost reporting and gross margin analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience in analytics, operations, supply chain, fulfillment, or logistics in a consumer business (eCommerce, hardware, CPG, or retail preferred).
- Experience managing or mentoring analysts. You should enjoy coaching and have a perspective on how to grow early-career analysts into workstream owners.
- Strong business judgment and ability to connect operational data to cost, experience, and strategic priorities.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels and context-switch between them without dropping quality.
- Comfort representing analytics in cross-functional settings and demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders on strategic direction based on data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with dbt, Snowflake, or similar ELT/data warehouse platforms.
