ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
At Sentry, Finance plays a critical role in helping the company understand where we're investing, what we're getting in return, and where we can operate more effectively.
We are looking for an FP&A Manager who will help build Sentry's FP&A function while focusing on establishing best-in-class FinOps practices. You'll partner across the business on forecasting and financial analysis, with a significant focus on cloud infrastructure, AI costs, vendor spend, and other areas where better financial visibility can translate directly into better decisions.
You will be expected to understand the economics behind our infrastructure, build the financial models and reporting needed to manage it, identify meaningful opportunities, and work with Engineering and other partners to turn those insights into action.
You'll also operate as a generalist FP&A partner and play an important role in building the processes, models, and operating rhythms that Finance will use as Sentry grows.
You will report to the Director of FP&A.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for significant areas of Sentry's operations, with particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure, AI-related spend, software, vendors, and other major cost categories.
- Partner closely with Engineering and infrastructure leaders to understand the drivers of cloud and AI spend, translate technical consumption into financial forecasts, and identify opportunities to improve unit economics and gross margin.
- Develop reporting that makes cloud and infrastructure costs understandable and actionable, including trends, cost allocation, unit costs, utilization economics, commitments, and significant variances.
- Help evaluate cloud commitments, reserved capacity, vendor agreements, and other commercial decisions by modeling their financial implications and tradeoffs.
- Build and operate a scalable company-wide expense-management process that gives budget owners clear visibility into their spend, forecasts, and accountability.
- Partner with functional leaders on budgets, forecasts, business cases, and ongoing financial performance.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including budget-to-actual analysis, variance explanations, forecast updates, and accrual inputs in partnership with Accounting.
- Support company-wide planning, headcount forecasting, management reporting, and other corporate FP&A work alongside the Director of FP&A.
- Develop models and analyses to answer important business questions, particularly around efficiency, cost structure, gross margin, and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve source data, and replace manual or fragmented finance processes with scalable ones.
- Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Engineering, Procurement and business leaders to ensure financial information leads to action rather than simply producing another report.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU
- Are a self-starter who likes owning a problem from messy data through recommendation and implementation.
- Get genuinely interested in understanding why a cost moves rather than simply reporting that it moved.
- Enjoy working with technical partners and can translate infrastructure or product concepts into financial drivers.
- Like building processes, models, and reporting from scratch and making them simpler each time they run.
- Have strong financial instincts but aren't afraid to get into large or imperfect datasets to find the answer.
- Are comfortable moving between detailed cost analysis and broader company FP&A work.
- Know that good cost management is about helping teams make smarter tradeoffs—not simply telling them to spend less.
- Are comfortable with the pace, ambiguity, and ownership that comes with a growing company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, technology finance, or a related analytical finance role.
- Experience owning budgets, forecasts, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial partnership with business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience building or materially improving financial models, planning processes, cost-management processes, or business-partnering cadences.
- Experience analyzing cloud infrastructure, hosting, AI/LLM, or other usage-driven costs is strongly preferred. Direct FinOps experience is a plus but is not required.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with NetSuite and modern FP&A or spend-management platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with FinOps concepts including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, commitments, and cloud cost optimization is a plus; FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar training is welcome but not required.
- Strong communication and business-partnering skills, particularly the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences and turn analysis into action.
Not sure you meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply anyway. We're interested in people who are excited about the opportunity, have demonstrated an ability to learn quickly, drive change, and want to help us build a great finance function.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY
Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic.
🎯 NOTE IMPORTANTE : NOUS RECRUTONS DES PERSONNES, PAS DES RÔLES.
#LI-DNP

- Maintain and evolve Higgsfield's revenue recognition policies under ASC 606, including judgments around performance obligations, promotional and grace-period credits, variable consideration, and material rights.

- Evaluate complex revenue considerations including principal-versus-agent conclusions and other technical accounting matters.
Lead Order-to-Cash Operations
- Own the order-to-cash lifecycle end to end, including order capture, billing, invoicing, cash application, collections, disputes, and revenue reporting.

- Design, document, and continuously improve order-to-cash workflows, controls, and segregation of duties.
Build Scalable Revenue Systems
- Own the revenue automation and reconciliation environment, including HubiFi and the audit trail from financial reporting down to the underlying transaction.
- Own revenue-related Stripe processes, including payouts, fees, settlement timing, and reconciliation of gross transaction activity to cash received.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Data to ensure the completeness, quality, and reliability of usage and credit-consumption data supporting revenue recognition.
- Drive automation across the revenue close and systematically reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets.
Drive Close, Reconciliation, and Controls
- Own revenue and AR balance sheet reconciliations, including bookings-to-cash analysis and proof-of-cash processes.
- Own the revenue portion of the close calendar and identify opportunities to shorten close timelines while maintaining accuracy and control.
- Build revenue reporting and analytics for Finance leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Establish scalable controls and documentation to support a growing and increasingly complex business.
Support Audit Readiness
- Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for external auditors on revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes.
- Prepare audit support, walkthroughs, reconciliations, process narratives, and other PBC materials.
- Help strengthen revenue processes and controls as Higgsfield continues to scale and prepares for increasing audit and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of accounting experience with meaningful depth in revenue accounting.
- Strong practical knowledge of ASC 606, including complex judgment areas such as variable consideration, breakage, principal versus agent, and material rights.
- Hands-on experience owning revenue accounting in a high-volume environment involving usage-based, consumption-based, credit-based, or scaled subscription revenue.
- Demonstrated experience owning order-to-cash processes, including billing and accounts receivable.
- Experience working directly with payment platforms and reconciling transaction activity, fees, settlements, and payouts to cash; Stripe experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience configuring or administering revenue automation or subscription billing systems such as HubiFi, Zuora, NetSuite ARM, RevPro, Maxio, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with transaction-level data to independently investigate and validate financial activity.
- Advanced Excel skills; SQL experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth environment where processes and systems are still being built.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Engineering, Data, and other teams.
Nice to Have:
- CPA.
- Big 4 or national accounting firm experience.
- Experience supporting an IPO, audit-readiness process, or similarly scaled financial environment.
- NetSuite experience.
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, or intercompany revenue flows.
- Experience building accounting processes from the ground up in a startup or high-growth environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.
- Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $175,000 - $250,000 depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to own billing, contract review, and revenue recognition as Baseten scales. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants full ownership of the revenue cycle at a company where deal structures are getting more complex: usage-based pricing, committed capacity, credits, multi-year enterprise contracts, and new business models coming online.
You'll join Lauren, who built Baseten's quote-to-cash function from the ground up, to take on billing, contract review, and revenue recognition as deal volume and complexity grow. Having completed our first year-end audit, we're now focused on tightening contract review processes, close procedures, and reporting rigor to support the scale ahead. You'll partner closely with Lauren, FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Revenue Operations to make sure every deal is structured, billed, and recognized correctly from day one.
Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI-native companies, and we're scaling quickly - in deal volume, contract complexity, and customer size. If you want real ownership over a growing function on a lean team, this role offers real scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Recognition and Technical Accounting
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 across all contract types, including usage-based/consumption arrangements, committed capacity deals, credits, multi-year contracts, and new business models
- Serve as the go-to person on rev rec treatment for new deal structures, products, and pricing models
Billing Operations
- Own end-to-end billing: invoice generation, accuracy checks, and dispute resolution
- Identify and automate manual, error-prone steps in the billing-to-cash workflow
- Assist with strengthening our collections efforts and overall process
Contract Review and Deal Support
- Build and maintain a standardized contract review process for Sales and Legal, flagging non-standard terms that affect recognition before deals close
- Partner directly with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal as a proactive advisor on deal structuring
Sales and Indirect Tax
- Own the sales and indirect tax process, including reviewing and maintaining our tax automation tool (nexus tracking, exemption certificates, filings), and building the governance around it as we scale into new jurisdictions
Close and Reporting
- Own the revenue-related monthly close: deferred revenue rollforward, unbilled AR, credit memos, and revenue reserves
- Partner with FP&A to reconcile billed vs. recognized revenue and support ARR reporting and forecasting
- Own revenue-related audit deliverables, including technical memos and sample testing support
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years focused specifically on revenue accounting and recognition
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 606, including variable consideration, multiple performance obligations, and usage-based revenue models
- Hands-on experience reviewing and abstracting commercial contracts for accounting treatment
- Experience owning billing operations directly, not just reviewing output from a billing team
- Public company or audit-ready private company experience (Big 4 or industry, with audit exposure)
- Builder mentality with a bias toward execution; comfortable operating on a lean team relative to company scale
- Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and a modern billing platform
- Based in San Francisco or New York, with the ability to work in-person 3+ days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed infrastructure or cloud company with usage-based or hybrid pricing
- Experience with committed-use/capacity contracts
- Experience overseeing sales and indirect tax compliance through an automated tax tool across multiple jurisdictions
- CPA
- Exposure to SOX controls in a revenue cycle context
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp's Strategic Finance team sits at the center of how the company allocates its time and resources. We're hiring across three complementary tracks — and looking for people with sharp financial instincts, a builder's mindset, and the drive to take on a large scope quickly. - Use data to influence key strategic decisions across Product, GTM, and business leadership
- Lead planning analyses for cross-functional teams, evaluating tradeoffs across growth, efficiency, and resourcing
- Identify and develop KPIs; build dashboards to monitor performance and communicate insights to stakeholders
- Partner closely with business leaders to translate strategy into execution and drive accountability
- Help run bi-annual budgeting and headcount planning cycles
- Manage company performance against financial targets — identifying where to course-correct and where to accelerate
- Build and maintain internal tools that reduce manual work and improve data accuracy across the finance org
WHAT YOU NEED
- 4+ years in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, VC/PE, or Corporate Finance at a top-tier technology company
- Excellent financial modeling and quantitative / data analysis skills
- Extreme attention to detail with a high regard for precision
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Track record of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners
- A "get things done" mentality — you dissect complex problems, find solutions, and drive them to completion with a high degree of autonomy
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities
NICE TO HAVES
- Expertise with Looker, SQL, and/or Python
- Systems thinking — you design processes to be reliable, scalable, and maintainable
- Curiosity about AI tools — prior experience is a plus, but not required
