ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Product Engineer to join as an early member of our new Enterprise team. This role requires both technical expertise and a deep understanding of user needs to deliver features that make an impact. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: - Build and own features across the full stack that serve enterprise customers, from backend services to user-facing interfaces - Design and implement scalable solutions for teams and organizations. This includes enterprise-readiness features like authentication, permissions, security, and compliance, as well as tools that improve team collaboration and drive adoption within an organization. - Work directly with customers to understand their needs and iterate on solutions - Contribute to technical decisions and architecture for the Enterprise platform - Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences - Mentor other engineers and raise the bar for engineering excellence - Ship quickly and iterate based on customer feedback and usage data REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Strong full stack engineering skills with experience shipping production code - Experience building B2B or enterprise software products - Comfort working across the stack - from databases and APIs to frontend frameworks - Strong product sense and ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions - Experience with modern web technologies (React, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar) - Track record of shipping high-impact features and taking ownership of projects - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams - Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and domains NICE TO HAVE: - Experience with enterprise authentication and authorization systems (SSO, SAML, SCIM) - Experience with AI/LLM integration in applications - Understanding of developer tools, internal tools, and workflows - Previous experience in a high-growth startup environment - Contributions to open-source projects TOOLS + TECH STACK FOR THIS ROLE: - React, TypeScript, CSS, GraphQL, Node.js, and Postgres THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE A FIT IF: - You prefer working exclusively on backend systems without user interaction - You're uncomfortable with the pace and changing priorities of a startup environment - You require highly structured requirements and aren't comfortable with ambiguity This is a full-time role that is held from our Foster City, CA office. Обязанности: — Составлять понимание задачи и согласовывать его с командой. — Определять свой план работы, дедлайны и нести за это ответственность. — Задавать вопросы в процессе работы: «Зачем я это делаю?», «Какая от этого польза бизнесу заказчика?». — Проектировать и реализовывать бизнес-логику, учитывая доменную модель (DDD). — Писать тесты на свою работу: проверять бизнес-правила, граничные кейсы и критичные сценарии. — Проверять свою работу и сдавать результат команде и заказчику. Требования: — Опыт разработки от 5 лет. — Уверенное владение Node.js, TypeScript. — Понимание принципов DDD (Domain-Driven Design). — Опыт написания тестов и понимание их роли в продукте (критически важно). — Способность погружаться в бизнес-логику, а не просто "делать по ТЗ". Location: Baku Workplace: hybrid RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for key components of the Xsolla platform . Architect and evolve microservices-based systems to support large-scale, high-performance operations. Implement and optimize database structures and queries for maximum efficiency and reliability. Ensure high availability, performance, and fault tolerance across distributed services. Lead efforts to improve CI/CD pipelines , deployment processes, and system observability. Conduct code reviews , mentor team members, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and innovative solutions. Drive continuous improvement through automation, testing, and proactive system monitoring. Stay ahead of industry trends, adopting emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities. REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of professional experience in in backend development (with Go ). Proven experience in designing and maintaining microservices architectures . Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases , with hands-on experience in query optimization . In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs , event-driven systems , and asynchronous communication patterns . Practical experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD automation . Solid understanding of software design principles , OOP , and clean architecture . Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, or similar) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation. Nice to Have Experience with Go frameworks such as Gin , Echo , or Fiber . Familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC . Background in distributed systems , caching layers , or message queues (e.g., Kafka , RabbitMQ ). Exposure to gaming , fintech , or digital asset platforms.
