🎯 NOTE IMPORTANTE : NOUS RECRUTONS DES PERSONNES, PAS DES RÔLES. #LI-DNP

Location: Dakar, Senegal Workplace: Hybrid LA SANTÉ N'ATTEND PAS. Location: Oakland, California, United States From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven. About Us Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead our corporate accounting function and help shape the next generation of our Finance organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the day-to-day General Ledger (GL) accounting function while also serving as a key transformation leader across Accounting and Finance. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with a builder's mindset. You will ensure an accurate, timely, and well-controlled close while rethinking how accounting work gets done—simplifying processes, improving systems and data, expanding automation, and driving practical adoption of AI across the accounting organization. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and detailed levels, from defining the future-state accounting operating model to solving complex accounting, process, and systems challenges. What You'll Do Lead Corporate Accounting Own corporate accounting operations, including the General Ledger, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and related activities. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring financial results are accurate, well-supported, controlled, and delivered on time. Maintain a strong internal control environment and build processes that scale with the growth and complexity of the business. Partner closely with Technical Accounting, Revenue, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, IT, and other teams on accounting and business matters. Support external audits and financial reporting requirements. Drive Transformation & AI Adoption Serve as a transformation leader for Accounting, developing and executing a roadmap for a more automated, scalable, and data-driven organization. Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes. Lead cross-functional initiatives involving accounting systems, financial data, integrations, workflow automation, and process redesign. Champion the responsible adoption of AI across Accounting, identifying and implementing high-value use cases that improve productivity, quality, and employee experience. Build AI capabilities across the team through training, experimentation, and best-practice sharing while establishing appropriate governance and human oversight. Establish metrics to measure improvements in close performance, automation, productivity, and quality. Build and Lead a High-Performing Team Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team capable of operating effectively in a fast-growing SaaS/Data environment. Develop future leaders by increasing ownership and building stronger accounting, technology, and business capabilities across the team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement where the team challenges existing processes and embraces technology, automation, and new ways of working. Balance operational excellence with transformation, ensuring the organization executes reliably while continuously improving how work gets done. What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of corporate or GL accounting functions within a public company or similarly complex environment. 4+ years of people leadership experience; experience managing managers preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, internal controls, and accounting operations. Experience within a SaaS, software, technology, or data business strongly preferred. Demonstrated success leading meaningful Accounting or Finance transformation initiatives. Strong systems orientation with experience improving ERP, close management, reconciliation, workflow, or other Finance technology platforms. Strong understanding of AI and automation and an ability to translate emerging capabilities into practical accounting applications. Excellent project management, change leadership, and executive communication skills. Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution and influence stakeholders across Finance and the broader organization. What Success Looks Like Success in this role goes beyond delivering an accurate close. You will help build an accounting organization that is increasingly automated, intelligent, scalable, and forward-looking. You will create a more efficient and predictable close, reduce reliance on manual processes, embed AI and automation into how the team operates, and build a strong leadership bench. Location: EMEA; Romania; Hungary; Netherlands; Portugal; Slovakia; Spain; Poland ✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere. We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing: - Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time - Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek - A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance - The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023 Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one. And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply. Location: To create the best experience for this employee and to meet the business needs, this role requires you to be based within the EMEA region. ROLE SUMMARY This is an exciting time to join Oyster. The Netherlands is one of our most important markets and this role will give you real ownership over how payroll runs, with the scope to help us achieve best-in-class payroll standards at scale. You'll be our lead in-house payroll expert: the person we trust to own Dutch payroll end-to-end, build scalable workflows in AFAS, Nmbrs by Visma and / or Loket.nl http://Loket.nl, and set the standard for how payroll should run. If you've run native Dutch payroll from the ground up, know AFAS Nmbrs by Visma and/or Loket.nl http://Loket.nl inside out, have strong opinions on doing payroll right, and have helped build or transform a payroll function before, this role is built for you. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Run payroll end-to-end. Own the full Dutch payroll cycle in-house; accurate, compliant, and on time. - Master data ownership. Oversee the validation of employee payroll master data; new hires, terminations, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, absences, and garnishments (loonbeslag), ensuring every change is processed accurately and within payroll deadlines. - Payroll controls & quality. Run rigorous pre- and post-payroll validations each cycle, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to keep payroll accurate before issues reach team members, customers or Finance. - Handle all statutory filings & accesses. Loonaangifte (monthly payroll tax) and Jaaropgave (annual statement) — you own the Belastingdienst submissions. You will also be responsible for setting up and managing required government accesses (Belastingdienst, UWV). - Own the payroll system. Configure and maintain the in-house payroll system, test legislative updates before they go live, troubleshoot issues, and partner with our Product team to improve automation and scalability. - Be the subject matter expert. Advise the business on Loonheffing (payroll tax), Sociale verzekeringen (social insurance), Dutch arbeidsrecht (labour law), 30% ruling applications and CAO (collective labour agreement) interpretation. - Own the numbers. Oversee payroll journals, GL mappings, reconciliations with Finance, and full data integrity. - Own complex escalations. Be the key point of contact for our most complex client payroll issues. Pair your deep technical expertise with a customer-first mindset to turn hard problems into a best-in-class experience. - Reporting. Maintain and prepare statutory and ad-hoc reports to meet regulatory requirements, including EU Pay Transparency Directive obligations, AVG/GDPR compliance across payroll data, WKR and Ondernemingsraad (works council)-facing pay assessment documentation. - Audits. Provide structured data and documentation to support internal and external audits. - Level the team up. Improve processes, coach junior specialists through complex problems rather than solving issues for them, and back up Regional Managers when needed. Maintain a living knowledge base e.g. playbooks and SOPs. so legal updates and process knowledge stay documented and shared, never siloed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years running the complete native (in-house) payroll process for the Netherlands, comfortable independently handling a high volume of payslips per month. - Advanced, hands-on AFAS and / or Nmbrs by Visma and / or Loket.nl http://Loket.nl experience is non-negotiable. - PDL (Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie) and/or VPS (Vakopleiding Payroll Services) certification and/or NIRPA Register Salarisadministrateur (RSa) registration; HBO (Bachelor) in Business Admin or Finance highly valued. - Deep, current working knowledge of Dutch wage tax, social insurance, and labor law, and the confidence to advise stakeholders directly, not just execute. - Dutch at C1/C2 for interaction with local authorities and fluent English for collaborating with our async global team. - Comfortable owning complex, sensitive client escalations; balancing technical precision with a genuine customer-first mindset. - An analytical, productivity-obsessed mindset. You're not a corporate "just follow the process" type; you thrive working from a blank canvas to build and set up processes, with an automation mindset that keeps improving how the work gets done. - Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving cross-functional change, even without an established playbook. - Some experience coaching or mentoring less experienced colleagues; you like building others up, not just solving problems yourself. - Comfortable working largely asynchronously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. DESIRABLE SKILLS - A broader accounting background or qualification (e.g. RA/AA accountancy qualification); particularly useful for the GL mapping and reconciliation side of the role. - Proven experience working on and delivering cross-functional HR/Payroll projects. - Hands-on capability working with AI tools to optimize payroll or operations workflows. - Strong data transformation skills and practical experience with data analytics platforms. HOW WE WORK TOGETHER AT OYSTER Our values guide the work we do, the decisions we make, and the culture that makes Oyster what it is. We make it happen—progress is our default setting. Location: Netherlands; Romania; Portugal; Belgium; Slovakia; Spain; Poland Workplace: Remote ✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. Location: To create the best experience for this employee and meet business needs, this role requires you to be based within the EMEA region. ROLE SUMMARY This is an exciting time to join Oyster. The Netherlands is one of our most important markets—this role will give you real ownership over how payroll runs, with the scope to help us achieve best-in-class payroll standards at scale. You'll be a valued member of our in-house payroll team: someone we trust to accurately produce your assigned stream of Dutch payroll each cycle, follow our AFAS processes closely, and flag anything that doesn't look right. If you have hands-on native Dutch payroll experience, are comfortable executing structured processes with care, and want to build your skills within a payroll function that's still taking shape, this role is for you. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Process payroll accurately. Produce your assigned stream of the native Dutch payroll cycle in-house each period; accurate, compliant, and on time. - Master data accuracy. Process and check employee payroll master data — new hires, terminations, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, absences, and garnishments (loonbeslag) — following defined procedures and flagging anything unclear or that looks off. - Payroll controls & quality. Run pre- and post-payroll validations each cycle; check your own work carefully, and flag anything that doesn't look right before issues reach team members, customers, or Finance. - Handle all statutory filings & accesses. monthly loonaangifte filings to the Belastingdienst, UWV wage declarations, and the annual jaarloonopgaaf, filing of Ziektewet and WAZO reimbursement claims with UWV, owning the retrieval and maintenance of employee loonheffingskorting data: you follow established procedures for these activities and flag anything that looks off. You'll support the setup and maintenance of required government accesses as directed. - Follow the payroll system procedures. Follow defined steps to help maintain the in-house payroll system, test legislative updates before they go live as directed, and flag issues or ideas to your team lead or our Product team. - Build your subject matter knowledge. Learn and follow Loonheffingenrecht, Socialezekerheidsrecht, Arbeidsrecht, and CAO (Collectieve Arbeidsovereenkomst) as they apply to your work, and ask questions when something is unclear. - Check your numbers. Check payroll journals and GL mappings against your outputs, and flag any data integrity issues you notice. - Handle assigned tickets. Handle assigned client payroll tickets well, and escalate anything that exceeds your frame to senior team members. Pair careful, accurate work with a customer-first mindset. - Reporting. Help prepare statutory and ad-hoc reports to meet regulatory requirements, including EU Pay Transparency Directive obligations, Ondernemingsraad (OR)-facing pay assessment documentation, and AVG/GDPR compliance across payroll data. - Audits. Provide structured data and documentation to support internal and external audits. - Support the team. Follow SOPs closely and flag gaps when you spot them. Share knowledge when asked and support your peers informally, helping keep our living knowledge base — playbooks and SOPs — documented and shared. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - 1–3 years running native (in-house) payroll processes for the Netherlands, comfortable independently handling a defined volume of payslips per month. - Hands-on AFAS and / or Nmbrs by Visma and / or Loket.nl http://Loket.nl processing experience. - Completed the Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie (PDL) and/or NIRPA Register Salarisadministrateur (RSa) registration. - Working knowledge of Dutch wage tax, social insurance, and labor law, with a willingness to build deeper expertise over time. - Dutch at C1/C2 for interaction with local authorities and fluent English for collaborating with our async global team. - Comfortable handling assigned client queries and escalating anything beyond your scope with clear context; balancing careful, accurate work with a genuine customer-first mindset. - A careful, detail-oriented mindset. You check your own work thoroughly and flag patterns or issues as you notice them. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity within your own workstream, and know when to escalate something that falls outside your frame. - You're happy to share knowledge when asked and support your peers informally.
