About the company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
About the Role
We're looking for a Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our monitoring and investigations program across both fiat and on-chain activity. You'll own transaction monitoring, secondary market and trade surveillance, investigations, and regulatory reporting, and you'll be a key partner to Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations as we scale.
This role suits a hands-on investigator who's equally comfortable tracing funds through a blockchain explorer, analyzing trading patterns for manipulation, and writing a SAR narrative that holds up to regulatory scrutiny.
Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day transaction monitoring program for fiat and digital asset flows, including alert review, escalation, and disposition.
Design, tune, and document monitoring rules and scenarios based on the firm's risk assessment, typologies, and emerging threats.
Use blockchain analytics tools to assess wallet exposure, counterparty risk, and illicit-finance indicators such as sanctions, mixers, darknet markets, scams, and ransomware.
Track alert volumes, false-positive rates, and SLAs, and drive improvements in efficiency and coverage.
Build and run surveillance for trading activity on primary and secondary markets, including on-chain transfers, DEX/CEX activity, and OTC flows.
Detect and investigate potential market abuse, including wash trading, spoofing, layering, front-running, pump-and-dump schemes, and insider trading.
Work with Engineering and Data teams on surveillance tooling, data pipelines, and alert logic.
Maintain reporting procedures, quality control checks, and audit-ready documentation.
Support regulatory exams, independent audits, and responses to regulator inquiries.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in financial crimes compliance, with significant hands-on work in investigations, AML/BSA, and transaction monitoring.
Demonstrated experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis (Reactor, KYT), TRM Labs, or Elliptic, and the ability to trace funds independently on-chain.
Strong working knowledge of the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN guidance, and OFAC sanctions requirements.
A track record of writing high-quality SAR narratives and investigation reports.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and spot anomalous patterns.
Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Nice to Have
Experience with trade surveillance or market abuse detection at a broker-dealer, exchange, ATS, or digital asset trading venue.
Familiarity with securities regulations (SEC, FINRA) and how they apply to tokenized assets or digital securities.
Experience building or scaling a monitoring program at a high-growth fintech or crypto company.
Experience managing or mentoring analysts.
Certifications such as CAMS, CCAS, CFE, or CCI.
What we offer
Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
Remote-first team across many countries — You will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices.
A+ colleagues — Our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap.

BUILD SOMETHING PEOPLE LOVE
Wealthsimple is Canada’s leading financial innovator. The company offers a full suite of simple, sophisticated financial products across managed investing, do-it-yourself trading, cryptocurrency, tax filing, spending and saving. Wealthsimple currently serves more than 4 million Canadians and holds over $155 billion in assets under administration. The company was founded in 2014 by a team of financial experts and technology entrepreneurs, and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
At Wealthsimple, we take our clients' security seriously. The Fraud Investigations team is the front line of defense within our Security & Risk group. We are looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Fraud Investigator to specialize in Card Fraud and Disputes. You will be the detective protecting our clients' everyday spending, navigating complex card network rules, and ensuring our platform remains a safe place to build and spend wealth.
This is a 9-month initial engagement with the possibility of extensions and conversions based on performance and business needs.
What you will do:
- Investigate & Resolve: Dive into the weeds of card disputes and unauthorized transaction claims. You will evaluate transaction data, authentication methods (like 3DS, Apple Pay, or Chip & PIN), and digital footprints to confidently distinguish true fraud from friendly fraud or commercial disputes.
- Execute Chargebacks: Take decisive action to recover funds by navigating Visa/Mastercard dispute rules, filing accurate chargebacks, and understanding exactly when and how liability shifts apply.
- Guide the Client: Communicate directly with clients who are stressed about missing money. You will guide them through the dispute lifecycle, manage expectations regarding strict card network timelines, and provide updates with absolute empathy and clarity.
- Manage the Queue: Act as a master multi-tasker, managing multiple ongoing card disputes at once while strictly adhering to internal and regulatory case-closure Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Connect the Dots: Participate in weekly calibration sessions with your peers to share findings, spot new card testing (BIN) attacks or merchant scams, and help the team stay one step ahead of the fraudsters.
Who you are:
- The Transaction Detective: You have incredibly high attention to detail. You love looking at authorization data, spotting anomalies, and solving the puzzle of how and where a card was compromised.
- Objective & Analytical: You balance deep empathy with strict risk protocols. You rely on hard data (IP addresses, device IDs, entry modes) to make fair, evidence-based decisions rather than just taking claims at face value.
- An Empathetic Communicator: You know that behind every dispute ticket is a real person. You excel at taking complex payment network rules (like why a chargeback was won or lost) and explaining them clearly and calmly to our clients.
The Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct fraud or disputes experience (experience specifically touching card chargebacks, Visa/Mastercard network rules, or transaction monitoring is a massive asset!).
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of fraud management frameworks, controls, and prevention systems within the financial services and payments space.
- Analytical Chops: The ability to collect, organize, and analyze datasets with precision and accuracy.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Product Owner
to build the products behind our new Financial Investigation Unit as we expand into new financial products and markets.
You will own the roadmap for investigation case management and customer offboarding. You’ll use AI to give investigators a complete picture of each case faster, and turn approved decisions into workflows that run reliably. You’ll work closely with investigators, Compliance, Operations and Engineering. Because this is a new capability, you’ll shape it from the ground up and, over time, build the team that runs it.

Bring relevant information together across systems, with clear sources and appropriate access controls. Enable complete, auditable case records that preserve evidence and reasoning through reviews and handovers.
Translate approved offboarding procedures into reliable workflows with operational and control owners. Define approvals, dependencies, sequencing and exception handling, with clear confirmation that required actions have been completed.
Deliver changes with Engineering through testing, staged rollout and monitoring. Test interrupted processes, duplicate requests and unavailable dependencies, with recovery routes and records of completed and outstanding actions.
Measure investigation quality, case rework, avoidable delays and offboarding failures alongside user feedback. Use the findings to improve performance without treating faster case closure as proof of quality.
Prepare Operations and Compliance for product changes, support adoption and resolve issues after launch. Feed quality reviews, audit findings and recurring operational problems into the roadmap.
Requirements:
5+ years in product ownership or product management, including end-to-end ownership of a product roadmap at a senior level.

Experience shipping AI or automation that cut manual work while keeping people in charge of key decisions.
Ability to write precise requirements and work closely with engineers on complex, failure-tolerant workflows.
Strong analytical skills, with experience defining metrics and using data to set priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management, including working with Compliance and control owners on regulatory requirements.
Experience building or growing a product team is desirable.
