Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo Our Global Structure Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team. Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Product team defines how millions of people experience Deliveroo, turning complex marketplace challenges into simple, high-impact solutions. Working at the intersection of data, design and engineering, we set direction, prioritise what matters most, and deliver outcomes that move the business forward. We're looking for a Staff Conversation Designer to join in London and set the design direction for AI-powered support across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt. You'll bring a strong AI fluency, technical practice, and editorial point of view to build and shape conversations powered by our LLM models: deciding what a conversation needs to say, what to leave out and how to make each exchange clear, useful, and worthy of people's trust. You'll shape the personality, voice, tone and experience principles that express our brands, local language and support philosophy. You will craft conversation specs, prompts, and evals, annotate data, and co-build the tools and harness that drives our experience. Success means fewer avoidable problems, better resolutions when help is needed, and stronger design practices that help teams deliver those outcomes consistently. What You’ll Be Doing Set support conversation strategy across support journeys, connecting what people need in the moment, what the business can promise, and what operations can actually do. Influence roadmaps with Product, Engineering and Operations, deciding where to invest, what to sequence first and how to balance quality, speed and impact. Design and maintain conversation flows . Lead proactive guidance, chat and voice experiences from definition through launch, anticipating needs to prevent or resolve problems before people ask for help. Create and maintain multi-turn conversation specs covering context, interruptions, changing intent, clarification, error recovery, fallback paths and human handoffs without repetition. Prototype new conversational experiences . Invent and test new conversational patterns, interaction paradigms, personas, and support experiences. Use LLMs and code to explore how people could ask for help, act on options and move between chat, voice and other interfaces. Work with Engineering to shape the information, actions, and human judgement these experiences need, using working prototypes and user feedback to decide what to pursue. Shape voice, tone and behaviour . Set the editorial direction for support conversations across brands, markets and modalities. Write and iterate on system prompts and persona definitions that express this direction through model behaviour. Make deliberate choices about wording, pacing and tone, adapting to local voices, policies and access needs while keeping conversations useful and promises accurate. Build evaluation datasets and testing plans . Establish how teams evaluate conversation quality before and after launch. Create evaluation datasets, testing plans and scoring rubrics to test conversation flows and model behaviour. Define annotation guidelines and annotate conversations for evaluation and model training, calibrating judgments so teams assess quality consistently. Combine these evaluations with research, performance data and reviews of hundreds of transcripts to improve accuracy, resolution quality and customer effort, and influence what the team prioritises. Design conversational safeguards . Identify conversational risks and define, implement and test guardrails. Address hallucinations, harmful or biased responses, and requests outside the service’s scope. Define how conversations protect sensitive information, stay within the system’s authority to act, and acknowledge uncertainty or seek human judgement. Raise conversation design capability . Help the wider Studio develop technical fluency and conversational judgement through mentorship, education and shared tools. Build reusable prompt guidance, evaluation tools and working practices with design and cross-functional peers, and lead their adoption across teams to improve conversation quality and inform product priorities. What You’ll Need to Thrive Work samples . Work samples showing strong editorial and conversational judgement, whether through conversational systems, content programmes or shipped products. Show your personal contribution, the direction you set, alternatives you explored and evidence of improved outcomes. We welcome different formats that make your thinking, execution and influence clear. Strategic leadership . Experience setting direction across teams and influencing product priorities, with examples of resolving ambiguity and making trade-offs between user needs, commercial goals and technical constraints. Editorial judgement . A strong editorial point of view, backed by excellent writing and editing. You can explain why a conversation needs a particular message, sequence or tone, cut what gets in the way and give others specific feedback that improves the work. Your background may be in editorial, content design, linguistics, product design or another discipline; what matters is how you apply that judgement to interactive experiences. Hands-on AI practice . Practical fluency with LLMs and code, demonstrated through working AI prototypes and direct investigation of model behaviour. You can distinguish conversational problems from limitations in data, tools or the wider system. Service design judgement . The ability to connect individual conversations to the wider service, including user intent, context, available actions and agent workflows. Your decisions account for accessibility, localisation, privacy and situations that need human intervention. Evaluation and training experience . Experience developing conversation evaluations and annotating model-training data, with evidence of how qualitative and quantitative findings improved model behaviour and informed product decisions. Impact beyond your own work . A track record of improving other teams’ design quality through mentorship, critique and shared tools or practices they’ve adopted. Why Join Us? Location: Romania; North Macedonia; Bulgaria; Serbia; Croatia; Bosnia and Herzegovina About Huzzle At Huzzle, we connect exceptional talent with top opportunities at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Our clients include fast-growing startups, digital agencies, SaaS companies, and tech-enabled businesses across industries such as MarTech, FinTech, EdTech, and eCommerce. Unlike traditional outsourcing agencies, we place you directly with innovative companies where you become a valued member of the team. About the Company Our client operates and scales multiple e-commerce brands while also growing a dedicated Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) agency serving established e-commerce businesses. As CRO is brought fully in-house, they are looking for an experienced Head of E-commerce Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) to take ownership of the optimisation function. This is a high-impact leadership role combining hands-on e-commerce optimisation with strategy, client advisory, experimentation, and team building. You’ll initially work across three in-house brands alongside a select portfolio of agency clients, with the opportunity to shape the company’s CRO methodology and build the function as the business grows. Job Summary As Head of E-commerce Conversion Rate Optimisation, you will own the optimisation strategy across both in-house e-commerce brands and agency client accounts. Your goal will be to identify and prioritise the highest-value opportunities to improve conversion rates, Average Order Value (AOV), revenue, and profit per visitor. You’ll combine quantitative analytics with customer research and behavioural insights to develop commercially focused experimentation roadmaps. You’ll determine what should be A/B tested, what should be implemented directly, and ensure designers and developers are focused on initiatives capable of delivering measurable commercial impact. Beyond execution, you’ll play a key role in developing the company's CRO framework, maintaining the quality of client strategy, presenting findings to stakeholders, and eventually hiring and mentoring additional CRO strategists. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end CRO and e-commerce optimisation strategy across three in-house brands and selected agency clients. Audit new client websites, funnels, analytics setups, and customer journeys to identify growth opportunities. Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, AOV, revenue, and profit per visitor. Analyse GA4, Shopify, e-commerce, and behavioural data to uncover friction points and opportunities. Use heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, customer feedback, and qualitative research to understand customer behaviour. Determine when optimisation opportunities should be A/B tested versus implemented directly. Brief designers and developers on CRO initiatives, ensuring execution remains aligned with the commercial objective. Review experiment results and assess statistical validity before making recommendations. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders. Present CRO strategies, experiment findings, and recommendations directly to clients. Quantify incremental revenue, profit, and commercial impact generated through optimisation initiatives. Maintain a consistently high standard of CRO strategy across all accounts. Develop and continuously improve the company's CRO framework and methodology. Establish scalable processes for experimentation, reporting, customer research, and prioritisation. Hire, mentor, and develop future CRO strategists as the function grows. Requirements 5–8+ years of professional experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation, experimentation, e-commerce optimisation, or a closely related discipline. Strong track record of delivering measurable CRO improvements for e-commerce businesses. Experience working with established e-commerce brands, ideally generating approximately £1m–£50m in revenue. Advanced knowledge of Shopify or other major e-commerce platforms. Strong proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and e-commerce analytics. Hands-on experience with A/B and multivariate testing platforms. Strong understanding of experimentation methodology, statistical significance, and test validity. Experience conducting customer research using surveys, behavioural analysis, heatmaps, session recordings, and other qualitative methods. Strong knowledge of e-commerce UX, customer journeys, landing pages, product pages, checkout flows, and funnel optimisation. Ability to connect CRO activity to commercial outcomes such as revenue, AOV, margin, and profit per visitor. Experience creating and prioritising experimentation roadmaps based on expected commercial impact. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills. Ability to confidently brief and collaborate with designers, developers, marketers, and senior stakeholders. Location: Remote Workplace: Remote WHO WE ARE Help Scout started in 2011 with a simple premise: support software should treat customers like people, not tickets. 3+ billion conversations later, more than 10,000 companies use Help Scout to grow relationships with customers of all types, from clients to patients and beyond. Now we’re in a new chapter: not only building AI that gives teams more space to focus on the customer experience, but also reimagining how we operate in an AI-native world. That means shipping and learning faster, without compromising on craft. Great work here carries a strong opinion and sweats the details, regardless of the tools we use to drive it. We’ve been a fully remote team https://articles.helpscout.com/blog/remote-culture/ since day one, with 120+ teammates now all over the world. It’s a culture where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, stay curious, and raise the quality of work around you. It comes with clear expectations and a team that will push you to do some of the best work of your career. If that kind of challenge gives you energy, we’d love to meet you. YOUR IMPACT Help Scout has earned something most software companies never get: genuine trust. 10,000+ businesses use us because we've always believed that customer relationships are the business, and that every interaction should feel like it came from someone who cares. That trust took a decade to build, and now it's the foundation for something bigger. The support industry is changing shape. AI will take on more of the tedious work so humans can lean into the relationship part. At Help Scout, the place where that relationship actually happens is the Conversations product group, which spans two product lines. Inbox is the workspace: every channel and every conversation in one place, built for the people who spend their whole day inside it. Copilot is AI working alongside them: drafts ready to review, context at their fingertips, and the tedious parts handled so every reply is faster and better. Conversations is the most-used surface we have. This is where every user spends most of their day, so speed, reliability, and craft are the product. It's also where the rest of the platform becomes real: Agent hands conversations to humans at the right moment, customer context shows up right where the work happens, and every one of those moments either builds trust or spends it. You'll be accountable for bringing it all to life with clarity and impact. ABOUT THE ROLE You'll own the Conversations product group end to end: vision, roadmap, monetization, and results for the Inbox and Copilot product lines. You'll report to Scott Rocher, our Chief Product Officer, and you'll be accountable for the revenue growth of the group. This is a player/coach role. Inbox and Copilot are the surfaces our customers touch most, the core of the business today and the front door to everything we build next. You'll do the strategic product work on them yourself: deciding what needs to get built next, how the workspace and its AI evolve together, and where investment in craft pays off. As the group grows, you'll hire and manage a team of PMs. Note: This role is open to US-based applicants only. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Set the vision and strategy for the Conversations group, and decide how Inbox and Copilot evolve together as one experience where AI makes every support pro faster without breaking their flow. - Drive the Inbox roadmap hands-on: the workspace where every channel comes together and where our users spend their time in the product. This surface is held to a bar where speed, reliability, and polish are a differentiator. - Drive the Copilot roadmap hands-on: integrations, contextual summaries, suggestions, and in-the-moment assistance that make each person on a support team meaningfully better at their job. - Own how your products are monetized. Conversations spans seats and AI usage, and you'll design the packaging that makes each seat more valuable as Copilot does more. You'll collaborate with partners across Help Scout to model the impact of the products you ship. - Partner deeply with the Autonomy group. Significant parts of Copilot run on the agent platform, and likewise, Agent hands conversations to humans in your workspace. The seams between the two groups are owned jointly, and making them invisible to customers is part of the job. - Spend real time with customers, understanding how support pros and their leaders actually work, where AI helps, and where it gets in the way - Partner with GTM and CS so the Conversations story is clear, the adoption motion is tight, and customer feedback loops back into the roadmap - Build and manage the Conversations PM team as it grows, coaching for judgment and raising the bar for product craft across the group WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You've owned a core product at scale, the kind people spend their whole workday in, and you're as fluent in the commercial side of product as you are in features and user experience - You've shipped AI-powered products and you understand how they succeed and fail - You collaborate well across ownership lines. Copilot ships on technology the Autonomy group builds, and you know how to co-own a product surface with a peer and keep the seams invisible to customers - You think in outcomes. Time to resolution, drafts accepted, teams that get more efficient as they use more of Help Scout . - You care about craft. You notice the details that make daily-use software feel fast, calm, and reliable, and you hold a roadmap accountable to them - You have strong monetization instincts. You can package a product line that spans seats and outcomes, and explain the tradeoffs. - You've managed product managers before and still love doing the work yourself. You know how to coach without taking over, and you know when a decision is yours to make - You're data self-sufficient. You pull your own data, run your own analyses, and use numbers to pressure-test direction - You're technically fluent enough to build genuine trust with engineers. You can hold a meaningful conversation about system architecture and make better decisions because of it - You're fluent with AI tools and treat them as part of your craft, for research synthesis, strategy testing, rapid prototyping, and customer signal analysis. You have a point of view on where these tools are heading and how they're changing the shape of product work - You understand that when execution is cheap, judgment is the bottleneck. Your highest-leverage hours go to strategy and prioritization, defining what's next and what's not - You're an excellent writer. Help Scout runs on writing, and you make your thinking visible in one-pagers, briefs, and narratives that move decisions forward - You've worked in B2B SaaS and understand the difference between building for support teams and building for end consumers COMPANY VALUES HAPPY TO HELP Help is in our first name! We show up for each other — not out of obligation, but because we’re invested in the team’s collective success. We share knowledge freely, lead with generosity, and practice empathy with our teammates, customers, and community. OWN THE OUTCOME Own the outcome means taking full responsibility for the results of your work, decisions, and contributions. It reflects a mindset of accountability, proactiveness, and follow-through. If you “own the outcome,” you don’t just complete tasks, you ensure your work leads to meaningful results, and take initiative to solve problems rather than passing them along.
