ABOUT ELEVENLABS
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.

CloudLinux is transforming the Linux infrastructure market by ensuring security and stability for over 500,000 servers worldwide. Our products - CloudLinux OS and Imunify360 - are the de facto standard in the hosting industry and Enterprise segment.
We are seeking a visionary engineer to lead the evolution of our data platform. In 2025, we are shifting from classic database administration to an Internal Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) model. We need a specialist who doesn’t just "configure backups," but designs resilient distributed systems, writes code to automate infrastructure, and transforms databases into a reliable service for product teams.
If you are tired of endless tickets and want to build platforms capable of processing petabytes of data, this role is for you.
Your Challenges & Responsibilities:
DBaaS Architecture:
Design and implement a self-service platform based on
Terraform
and
Ansible
, enabling the deployment of HA clusters (PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis) in a heterogeneous environment (Bare Metal + OpenNebula + Kubernetes + Public Clouds). You will turn infrastructure into a product.
Scaling ClickHouse:
Manage exponentially growing analytics clusters (12+ clusters, tens of terabytes of data). You will tackle sharding, table engine optimization (ReplicatedMergeTree), and building reliable S3 backup pipelines under high load.
Data Platform & Analytics Support:
Maintain and scale the infrastructure for Apache Airflow and Redash. You will ensure the reliability of ETL pipelines and visualization tools, bridging the gap between raw infrastructure and the data analytics team.
Reliability as Code:
Implement SRE practices in data management. Replace manual incident response with automated self-healing mechanisms. Define and implement SLO/SLI for all databases.
Stack Modernization:
Lead the migration process from legacy solutions to modern cloud patterns. Participate in decision-making regarding the implementation of Kubernetes operators for stateful workloads.
Expertise & Mentorship:
Serve as the technical authority for product teams, helping them optimize data schemas and SQL queries for high-load systems.
Our Tech Stack:
Databases
: PostgreSQL 15+ (Patroni, PgBouncer), ClickHouse (Sharded/Replicated), MongoDB, Redis, Kafka
Data & Analytics:
Apache Airflow, Redash (Infrastructure & Integration).
Infrastructure:
Own 3+DC colocation (OpenNebula, Kubernetes, Bare Metal), AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DO – Hybrid Cloud.
Automation & IaC:
Terraform, Ansible, Python/Go, GitLab, Jenkins, Gerrit.
Observability
: VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Loki.
Why CloudLinux?
Culture:
A Remote-first company with an "Employees First" principle. We value results, not hours in the office.
Impact:
Your architectural decisions will determine the stability of services used by thousands of companies around the world.
Growth:
We support professional development and pay for training and conferences.
Requirements
What We Expect From You:
AI-Augmented Engineering:
You don't view AI as a replacement for deep technical fundamentals, but as a high-leverage tool. We actively use AI agents (Claude, Codex, Gemini, etc.) to automate boilerplate, analyze complex logs, and speed up research. We expect you to be open to modern workflows and integrate AI into your day-to-day operations, allowing you to focus your brainpower on the true architectural challenges.
Deep PostgreSQL Expertise (5+ years):
You know MVCC internals, understand locking mechanics, can configure Patroni and PgBouncer "with your eyes closed," and have experience with seamless major version upgrades under load.
ClickHouse Mastery:
Experience operating large clusters, understanding ZooKeeper/ClickHouse Keeper, sharding, replication internals, and the ability to diagnose performance issues at the data-part level.
Engineering Mindset (SRE/DevOps):
You hate doing the same task twice by hand. Experience writing complex Terraform modules and Ansible roles is mandatory. Programming skills in
Python
or
Go
for automation are a huge plus.
Hybrid Environment Experience:
You understand the differences between running DBs on Bare Metal vs. Kubernetes vs. Cloud and know how to optimize TCO and disk subsystem performance (NVMe, Network Storage).
Systems Approach:
You see the big picture - from the network packet to the application business logic. You understand the importance of security (FIPS, Audit logs) and Disaster Recovery.
English:
upper-intermediate or higher - to ensure clear communication of progress within the teams
Nice to Have:
Experience building an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
Experience operating databases in Kubernetes (CloudNativePG, Altinity Operator).
Experience working in Cloud and Hosting providers on similar services.
Benefits
What's in it for you?

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer at Sierra, and a founding member of this function, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer deployments, while helping define how Sierra’s AI platform is deployed and operated across enterprise environments. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to architect, deploy, upgrade, and manage Sierra's AI platform infrastructure — ensuring every deployment meets their security, compliance, and operational requirements. In addition, you’ll establish the standards, tooling, and processes that make deployments scalable and repeatable, and partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success. This role will define how Sierra scales some of its most complex customer engagements.
- Own deployment architecture conversations and execution — designing and implementing deployment strategies across customer environments, including VPC configuration, permissioning, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage the full infrastructure lifecycle for some of Sierra’s most critical customers: initial deployment, ongoing upgrades, scaling, and incident support.
- Develop and maintain deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling to make operations repeatable and reliable.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure Sierra's platform is deployable and operable across diverse customer requirements.
- Work with customers' platform engineering, security, and DevOps teams to navigate their infrastructure constraints and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to scope infrastructure requirements during pre-sales and onboarding, translating customer needs into concrete deployment plans.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architecture roles — with significant time spent on customer-facing deployment work.
- Deep experience with AWS services, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking (VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancing).
- Track record of managing deployments in customer-owned cloud environments, including navigating security reviews, compliance requirements, and change management processes.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with enterprise stakeholders — from platform engineers to CISOs — and turn infrastructure conversations into actionable deployment plans.
- Strong operational instincts: you think about upgrades, rollbacks, monitoring, and failure modes from the start, not as an afterthought.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and collaborating across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
EVEN BETTER…
- Hands-on experience with Go services, GraphQL APIs, or LLM infrastructure in production environments.
- Past experience at an early-stage company where you built deployment operations, playbooks, and tooling.
- Familiarity with observability and incident management in distributed systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design, deployment automation, or infrastructure self-service tooling for enterprise customers.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
We're building AI-native development practices into how this team works at a foundational level. That means infrastructure design needs to account for a new kind of collaborator: AI agents that generate, deploy, and operate software. The Senior Software Engineer, Billing on this team will keep systems running, help define what safe, observable, AI-assisted infrastructure operations look like in practice, and model that standard for the rest of the team.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
The Billing Platform Engineering team owns the systems that make Docker's commercial model real. You'll work on problems like:
- How do we design infrastructure that makes AI-generated deployments safe to ship and easy to roll back?
- How do we instrument billing systems so that failures — billing miscalculations, entitlement gaps, payment errors — are detected immediately and unambiguously?
- How do we build infrastructure that scales with usage-based billing workloads without manual intervention?
- How do we make the developer experience on this team faster and more reliable — local environments, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and evolve the infrastructure supporting Billing Platform services: compute, storage, networking, CI/CD, and observability
- Design and maintain IaC (Terraform) for billing system infrastructure on AWS; contribute to module patterns and standards for the team
- Build and own observability systems — metrics, logging, alerting — with a focus on billing accuracy and payment reliability
- Implement deployment patterns and runbooks that work well in an AI-agent-assisted development workflow: clear rollback procedures, safe promotion gates, automated validation
- Partner with software engineers on service design — bringing infrastructure constraints and operational requirements into the conversation before code is written
- Identify systemic risks in the team's systems and drive improvements, including work that reaches into adjacent teams or services
- Participate in incident response for billing system issues. This role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Mentor engineers on the team; your technical judgment should help raise the bar for how the team builds and operates
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles supporting production SaaS systems at scale
- Strong AWS expertise: ECS or EKS, RDS (Postgres preferred), networking, IAM, cost management — you've operated these systems under real load and real incidents
- Strong Terraform skills; you've built reusable module patterns and can improve the ones a team relies on
- Experience building and owning observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, or similar) for production services — not just using them
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD systems — Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent — including pipeline design and developer experience
- Kubernetes at an operational and architectural level
- A track record of identifying systemic risks and driving improvements within your team and adjacent systems
- Security-first mindset: threat modeling, blast radius analysis, least-privilege by default, audit trails as a design requirement
- Strong written English; clear written communication is how you scale your work across the team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
ON-CALL
Operational ownership is part of the job. You’ll join the rotation after onboarding and shadowing, and help improve on-call itself: better alerts, stronger runbooks, less toil, and blameless postmortems aimed at prevention.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
You don't wait for problems to be handed to you — you find them, frame them, and drive the solution. You've operated at a scope where your decisions affected the systems your team owns, and you know how to build alignment and move work forward without direct authority. You've thought seriously about what infrastructure needs to look like when AI agents are generating and shipping code — safe deployment patterns, strong observability, clean rollback — and you want to help define that standard here. Experience with billing, payments, or financial systems infrastructure is a meaningful plus.
WHAT TO EXPECT
First 30 days
You will ship code in your first week. We run an agent-first development workflow — infrastructure changes start with a plan, specifications are written before generation, and every change is reviewed before it merges — and onboarding is no exception. You will get hands-on with the infrastructure supporting Billing Platform services early, shadow on-call, and build a clear picture of the system before you start making bigger changes. By the end of 30 days you will have shipped real work and know where the most important problems are.
First 90 days
You will have taken ownership of one or more infrastructure components and delivered an improvement from design to production with measurable impact. You will be an active participant in deployment and reliability discussions, bringing infrastructure constraints and operational requirements into the conversation early — before code is written. You will be a full participant in the on-call rotation and will be contributing to the team's technical direction.
One year outlook
You will be one of the team's go-to engineers on billing infrastructure. You will have driven meaningful improvements to observability, deployment safety, or platform reliability — and your work will be directly visible in the resilience and correctness of systems that handle real financial transactions for millions of Docker users. You will have helped define what AI-agent-assisted infrastructure operations look like done right.

Metabase is the easiest way for people to get insights from their data, from tiny startups who get up and running quickly to major corporations with tens of thousands of users. That's why people love us.
We bring data tools with the elegance and simplicity of consumer products to the crufty world of enterprise business intelligence. We provide an opinionated open source starting point for how companies should measure, analyze and share their data, which is used by tens of thousands of companies.
Our engineering team of ~70 people is fully distributed across the globe, and we work hard to build an async-friendly, shipping-focused engineering culture.
About the Role
We're seeking CI Engineers to join our engineering team and help keep our testing and release infrastructure healthy, fast, and reliable. This is a critical role — our CI and testing systems are complex, deeply relied upon, and continuously evolving.
You won't be writing product features, and you won't be expected to author new test coverage. Instead, your job is to own the health and reliability of our CI systems end to end. That means supporting the engineers who are writing tests, but it also means taking initiative — spotting problems before they become outages, identifying patterns in flakiness before they erode confidence in the test suite, and proactively improving the release process rather than waiting for things to break. We want someone who feels a genuine sense of ownership over these systems and acts accordingly.
This is a great role for a self-directed engineer who takes pride in the reliability of the infrastructure others depend on, and who can both identify problems as well as solve them.
What You'll Do
Own and proactively improve our GitHub Actions-based CI pipelines
— not just fixing what breaks, but anticipating bottlenecks and reliability issues before they impact the team
Triage and resolve flaky tests
across a large, multi-layered test suite spanning unit, integration, and end-to-end tests — identifying systemic patterns, not just one-off fixes
Support ongoing releases
and take ownership of improving the release process over time
Act as a first responder to emergent CI infrastructure issues,
diagnosing and resolving them quickly and independently
Support product engineers
who are writing tests using Cypress, Jest, and our home-grown Clojure-based test frameworks
Manage test infrastructure
across a wide matrix of databases — we test against nearly all major transactional and analytical cloud databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and more
Document and communicate
clearly and asynchronously across a globally distributed team — and keep the broader engineering team informed about the state of CI health without being asked, as well as communicating and demonstrating best practices.
What We're Looking For
Demonstrated experience working with CI/CD systems in a professional engineering environment — you don't need to be a 10-year veteran, but you need to have done this work, done it well, and owned it
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset — you notice things that are heading in the wrong direction and fix them without waiting to be asked
The independence to manage your own priorities and operate effectively without close supervision across a globally distributed team
Solid understanding of GitHub Actions or comparable CI platforms
Experience with JavaScript testing tools, particularly Cypress and/or Jest
Comfort with containerization (Docker) — our database test matrix depends on it
Solid shell scripting skills (Bash)
Experience diagnosing and fixing flaky tests in large test suites
Strong async written communication skills — this is a remote-first, globally distributed team
Curiosity and a systematic approach to debugging unfamiliar systems
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Clojure and TypeScript
Experience testing against or operating cloud data warehouses or analytical databases
Experience building and supporting software release pipelines
Why This Role
You'll have real ownership over systems that directly affect the productivity of a 70-person engineering team
You'll work on infrastructure that supports widely used open source software
Fully remote, any timezone — we're serious about async-first culture
You'll have the autonomy to identify and drive improvements rather than just work a ticket queue
Compensation
The US base salary range for this role is $116K–$213K annually, plus equity and benefits.
Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, and scope of responsibility. Pay may vary by geographic location and other job-related factors.
Benefits
We offer meaningful equity and a comprehensive US benefits package, including fully employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 75% coverage for dependents), a 401(k) with employer match available to enroll after the first 30 days, flexible and unlimited paid time off including sick time, and an asynchronous, remote-first environment.
We're a global team (50% outside the US), fully distributed (from Thailand to California), who get things done asynchronously, with plenty of uninterrupted time, supporting each other to do the best work of our careers. We offer flexibility (define your own schedule and work from wherever you want), autonomy, and an environment that fosters growth, learning, and development. We're relentlessly user-focused and believe in building long-term value, not short-term hacks. And we raised a $30M Series B to take our approach to the next level for years to come.

Strong expertise in Go and React (JavaScript/TypeScript), along with deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns and event-driven system design, is essential, along with experience in building and delivering commercial applications from concept to launch. The ability to design scalable service architectures, implement robust testing strategies (including integration and E2E), optimize performance across the full stack, and mentor other developers while collaborating across cross-functional teams will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about building high-quality, resilient systems that scale and love designing seamless platform experiences powered by event-driven workflows, cloud infrastructure, and modern web interfaces that drive gaming, virtual currency, and digital commerce experiences, we would love to hear from you!
