ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for Engineering Managers to lead engineering effort on Supabase Spark. Supabase Spark is an initiative to build the next frontier of agentic databases, supporting billions of databases, with millions of databases created every day.
Although we don’t require managers to contribute to code directly, we do expect you to participate in design discussions and to be involved in setting the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Team & People
- Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
- Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for your direct reports.
- Handle people admin (leave, time off, etc.) for your team.
Hiring
- Own the hiring plan for your team and act as Hiring Manager. First round of interviewer for all roles on the team.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close strong candidates.
- Contribute to headcount planning, org design, and the evolution of engineering leadership at Supabase.
Delivery & Roadmap
- Own the team's roadmap and project management (Linear), driving accountability and clear milestones.
- Manage workflow intake and Slack triage. These are the team’s primary inboxes for cross-team requests. You decide what gets routed where, prioritized, or pushed back on.
- Own the team's weekly updates and keep stakeholders aligned without creating overhead.
- Organize effort against support tickets and maintain the team's SLO.
- Surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early and clearly to leadership.
Incident Commander
- Train as an Incident Commander. Drive coordination, resolution, and post-incident follow-up.
- Lead blameless post-incident reviews
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have 5+ years of engineering background, with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
- Have 3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
- Have managed engineering teams at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company.
- Experience with developer tools or databases, plus if that includes both SQLite and Postgres ecosystems.
- Strong technical credibility in backend and database systems: APIs, auth, and Postgres access control (roles, grants, RLS) etc.
- Has led a team shipping a developer facing API or platform product from early stage to production.
- Have managed remote, globally distributed teams that work asynchronously across disparate time zones.
- Are technical enough to be credible with strong engineers, but genuinely passionate about people management. This is the work you want to do, not a track you're settling for.
- Build psychological safety and a feedback culture: you give feedback often and in the moment, ask for it back, and create space for the team to do the same.
- Operate as a multiplier. Focused on helping individuals achieve more than they could alone, not on being the best technical voice in the room.
- Coach rather than direct. Remove blockers, connect people to context and resources, and trust your engineers to own how the work gets done.
- Have a real track record of performance management and can speak to specific examples of difficult conversations and how you navigated them.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure where there isn't much.
- Communicate clearly and write well. You're default async, default written, set context proactively, and surface risks early.
- Are collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable. You thrive working with high-autonomy, senior ICs who have strong technical opinions and don't need to be the smartest person in the room.
- Are comfortable with aggressive scoping and eval driven development.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits

- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken

The team and its impact
Accounting Core builds the foundations behind Xero’s accounting records, helping ensure that when a business records invoices, payments and other activity, its accounting stays accurate and dependable. You’ll help evolve a mature platform by decoupling key accounting capabilities from the mature architecture and creating safer, more scalable paths for change across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own significant end-to-end initiatives from technical design through to production, helping decide how accounting capabilities can be separated from the monolith and evolved safely. You’ll stay hands-on in production code, work through trade-offs where accounting-data integrity and scalability matter, and collaborate closely with partner teams to ensure changes to the accounting engine support other Xero teams built on Accounting Core. You’ll also help raise engineering practices and quality standards as the Vancouver Accounting Core team continues to grow.
Technical Challenges:
- Decoupling a mature accounting platform: Help separate accounting capabilities from a monolith, creating clearer domain ownership and safer paths for change without compromising the integrity of the accounting record.
- Accounting correctness at scale: Design and evolve reliable services for critical financial data across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
- Shared foundations for product teams: Build capabilities and outputs that other Xero teams can rely on confidently, so they can deliver customer experiences without rebuilding core accounting foundations.
- Modernisation alongside delivery: Make incremental architectural improvements while continuing to deliver value for small businesses and their advisors.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
- Proven track record of delivering highly available, distributed systems and high-throughput services on cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of significant work, from design through to rollout and production validation, including the technical decisions that come with it.
- You think carefully about architecture and trade-offs, from API design to choosing the right data store, and you balance speed, quality and long-term maintainability.
- Proficiency in a modern backend stack, such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Ruby or C++, and you are keen to learn C# and .NET, where existing experience is a bonus.
- Passion for staying hands-on, contributing to production code and technical deep dives, and using AI tools with good judgement to move faster and raise the quality bar.
- A commitment to Go Together by mentoring peers, sharing technical knowledge and helping teammates grow through code reviews, pairing and documentation.
Where and how you can work
This role is based in our Vancouver office, where we embrace a hybrid working model. You will have the flexibility to work from home while joining the team in the office for "boost days" (1-2 days a week) to collaborate, socialize, and solve complex problems in person.
Our Hiring Process
1. TX phone screen: a conversation with your Talent Specialist about your background, motivations and the role.
2. Technical assessments: a coding assessment and systems design assessment, conducted virtually with real engineers, and based on real-world scenarios.
3. Technical deep dive: walk through a past project you owned end-to-end, covering how you thought about it, executed it and led through its complexity.
4. Values / Future Proof Xero: how you show up day to day, aligned with Xero's values and capabilities such as adaptability, ownership, customer thinking and AI fluency.
Compensation & Total Rewards
At Xero, we value the impact and skills you bring to the team. We believe in a Total Package philosophy - ensuring your value is recognized through a holistic lens that includes base salary, performance incentives, and world-class benefits.
The expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $205,000 CAD.
Individual pay is determined by various factors, including geography, level of experience, and the specific skills you bring to the role.
In addition to base pay, Xero’s roles are eligible for the following forms of variable compensation:
- Variable Pay: Permanent employees are eligible to participate in our annual bonus and equity (RSU) programs. You may also be eligible for performance-based cash or equity (RSUs) incentives depending on your role level, and company performance.
- Comprehensive Benefits: World-class health, wellness, and retirement programs. Xero Perks https://careers.xero.com/inside-xero/benefits-wellbeing/ including Wellbeing days, generous leave, and dedicated professional development budgets.
This is a posting for an existing vacancy.
Xero uses AI to help screen applications based on job-related qualifications. These tools assist our recruiters but do not make automated hiring decisions. A human recruiter reviews all candidates before any hiring action is taken.

The role and its impact
Payments Platform is one of Xero’s biggest areas of investment and growth - directly affecting how small businesses pay their people, buy supplies and take on their next opportunity. Here, we build the foundations for collecting and paying money through Xero, helping make payments simple, accurate and secure for customers while supporting multiple products, payment methods, providers and regions. You’ll help evolve a growing platform by building reusable, provider-agnostic capabilities across areas such as payment orchestration, provider integrations, onboarding, risk and compliance, reconciliation and bill payments.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own significant end-to-end initiatives from technical design through to production, helping decide how payment capabilities are designed, integrated and operated as the platform scales. You’ll stay hands-on in production code, work through trade-offs where customer simplicity, financial control, reliability and scalability matter, and collaborate closely with product and engineering partners to deliver payment experiences that are secure, trusted and easy to use. You’ll also help shape engineering practices and quality standards as the Vancouver Payments Platform team continues to grow.
Technical Challenges:
- A shared payments platform: Own a capability within the platform, such as orchestration, risk and fraud, or multi-provider support, and deliver it end-to-end. You'll be helping teams launch new payment products faster without rebuilding the same foundations.
- Global bill payments: Make a complex financial process feel simple for small businesses while keeping it accurate, secure and connected to the accounting record.
- High throughput at scale: Design and deliver reliable, secure distributed services that remain dependable under real-world production constraints, with the monitoring and operational readiness to support them.
- Customer impact alongside architectural progress: Improve existing systems in steps, delivering customer value quickly while contributing to a coherent long-term architecture.
- AI capabilities customers can trust: Apply AI to challenging product problems while protecting customer trust, and help evaluate those capabilities with the same discipline as the rest of your work.
Here are some of the things we are looking for

How we’re using AI today
On the Strategic Operations team, we’re using AI to cut through complexity, stay aligned, and move quickly. We expect every team member to build at least one AI-powered workflow, and we’re committed to growing together through shared best practices, regular learning sessions, and team resources as we scale and collaborate across 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 7–9+ years of experience in strategic operations, business operations, program management, or a related field, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs and influencing senior or executive stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong ability to translate broad objectives into practical plans, roadmaps, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Sound judgment and confidence working through ambiguity, resolving dependencies, and constructively challenging assumptions when needed.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to turn data into clear recommendations and concise status updates.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities while maintaining accountability from planning through delivery.
• Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS), cybersecurity, technology, product operations, or a similarly fast-moving environment, along with experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or workflow automation to improve operational efficiency.
What you can expect:
• Build and manage programs that improve service and outcomes for high-priority customer accounts.
• Support company planning, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), objective tracking, and other operating rhythms that help leaders make informed decisions.
• Create clear roadmaps, status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations that improve visibility and accelerate decision-making.
• Bring teams together to resolve blockers, align priorities, manage change, and deliver shared outcomes.
• Use modern tools, including AI-assisted analysis and workflow automation, to generate insights, identify risks and dependencies, and scale program execution.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. Senior Data Engineer
to join our Data Engineering team in Berlin. In this role, you won't just build pipelines—you will architect the data foundation that powers our next generation of casual games and advanced analytics, and AI-driven workflows. You will be in an environment where you can take full ownership of business outcomes, bridge technical execution with strategy, and proactively identify opportunities to optimize and scale our data transformation journey.
About the job

Data Warehousing & Lakehouse:
Architect clean, cost-efficient, and highly performance schemes across our cloud data warehouse platform on Snowflake.
AI-Enabled Engineering & Agentic Workflows:
Use AI as a daily force multiplier, not only for writing code but across the data lifecycle, from design and documentation to testing, debugging, and incident triage. Design, build, and operate agentic workflows (for example, agents that monitor pipelines, investigate data quality issues, generate and validate dbt models, or answer analysts’ questions against governed data), with proper guardrails, evaluation, and observability.
Quality, Reliability & Governance:
Implement automated testing, observability, and monitoring frameworks to guarantee high data reliability and low latency.
Engineering Excellence & Best Practices:
Follow rigorous CI/CD practices, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), version control, and clear documentation across all data assets.
Cross-Functional Enablement:
Collaborate closely with marketing managers, game teams, product managers, and data analysts to turn ambiguous business needs into high-impact data solutions.
About you
Relevant Experience:
In-depth professional experience as a software engineer or data engineer.

AI & Agentic Experience:
Hands-on experience applying AI tools in your engineering work and building agentic workflows, including tool use or MCP integrations, orchestration, and evaluation. You know where agents add real value, where human review is essential, and how to keep them reliable, secure, and cost-aware.
Software Engineering Mindset:
Deep familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
Proactive & Impact-Driven:
Autonomous problem solver who evaluates technical decisions based on speed-to-market, business value, and ROI rather than theoretical complexity.
Collaborative Communicator:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical architecture to both engineering peers and business stakeholders.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not think that you tick all the boxes - thinking outside of such boxes and embracing the diversity of mindsets and backgrounds is what we believe makes our teams thrive.
Our Promise
Shape the future! Challenge the status quo and team up with a diverse group of experts (over 50 nationalities!) working on crafting the world’s best games.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced English into Bosnian (Cyrillic) Review Lead to serve as the language quality owner and primary client-facing linguistic expert for a leading global technology client.
You will own the locale’s interpretation of the client’s quality standards and make sure that the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers all work to the same shared understanding of “good”. You will be the main point of contact for the client’s Language Manager on quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations, and you will drive consistency, quality governance, and continuous improvement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
Project Details
- Location: Remote (based in one of the approved countries below)
- Expected volume: Approximately 24 hours per month
- Employment type: Freelance / Independent Contract
- Task type: Language Lead Support
- Content types: UI, Marketing, Informational, Legal, Product, Support
- Language pair: English into Bosnian (Cyrillic)
What You Will Do
-Analyse requirements: Review every style guide and glossary update, assess which quality categories and content types it affects, and record the changes. Track what the client’s Language Manager actually corrects and says in calibration and quality calls, not only what is written down.
-Relay expectations: Run regular alignment roundtables with the language community and publish a structured monthly quality digest covering performance, priority improvement areas, style guide updates, and notable errors and arbitration outcomes.
-Manage review quality actively: Coach Reviewers one-to-one using specific examples, run shadowing sessions, and deliver training built from real alignment data.
-Improve the standard: Turn recurring justification patterns into well-reasoned style guide proposals, and share cross-locale patterns with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
-Maintain alignment with the client: Treat Language Manager decisions as the standard, raise concerns with evidence at the right forum, and aim for fewer surprises over time.
What You Will Own
-The locale’s review service score, including RQE audit and alignment performance
-The community’s shared understanding of quality
-The integrity of the arbitration record, ensuring that every arbitration sent to the client is valid and well-evidenced
-The working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, including clarifications, escalations, and expectation tracking
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles
- Client and stakeholder management: Direct experience as the primary point of contact for client Language Managers, managing formal arbitration or escalation processes, and facilitating conflict resolution
- Quality audit frameworks: Deep, practical experience with localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping
- Style guide and expectation analysis: Ability to analyse style guide changes, identify implicit client expectations, and map tolerance by content type (for example, Marketing vs. Legal vs. UI)
- Meeting facilitation: Hands-on experience with one-to-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting
- Analytical approach: Skill in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores, and in converting justification patterns into style guide improvements
- Language: Native-level Bosnian (Cyrillic) and professional-level English
- Preferred: Prior experience supporting major technology localization programs and working with calibration or alignment tools
Additional Key Information
- Successful candidates will be provided with a dedicated device for project work.
- A background check is required as part of onboarding.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE TEAM
Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe. Our customers in finance, healthcare, and the public sector run frontier models on European-jurisdiction infrastructure, and the Cloud Platform team builds the systems that make that possible — compute orchestration, Kubernetes, bare metal, storage, networking, and the datacenter fleet that runs it all.
We run it all on our own metal, our own network, our own datacenters — which means when something breaks, the fix is ours to write.
European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on.
THE ROLE
You will build storage on our cloud.
Block, filesystem, and object storage for training runs, sandboxed workloads, and general compute: you help decide what we build, what we buy, and how it adds up to storage our customers can bet a business on. Some layers we deploy and harden from best-in-class vendors. The ones that matter most we write ourselves in Go — S3-compatible object storage, tiering, backup and recovery, caching layers that put cold data on cheap spinning disks.
Storage is a strategic bet for this org: the systems you build will define how a gigawatt of European compute stores its data.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build the storage stack — block, file, object — for training, sandbox, and general compute workloads.
- Design and write our own services in Go: S3-compatible APIs, tiering, backup and recovery, caching layers.
- Own the data plane: allocation, duplication, tiering, backup and recovery.
- Plan capacity across datacenters and across failure domains — petabytes, not terabytes.
- Partner with Product Managers to shape the storage roadmap and make the technical and business tradeoffs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have built storage systems — object, block, or distributed filesystems — not just operated them. You know what happens when a disk dies mid-write and when a rebalance collides with a backup window.
- Deep distributed-systems fundamentals: durability, consistency, replication, erasure coding, failure domains.
- You have shipped production systems in Go. Systems engineers coming from C++ or Rust who are ready to write Go daily should still talk to us.
- You are comfortable with hardware reality: HDD, SSD, and NVMe tiers, and the economics of each.
- 5+ years building backend or infrastructure systems.
- You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users.
- A low-ego, team-first mindset. We care less about your exact domain and more about whether you are the kind of technical force other engineers want to work alongside.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks.

European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on.
THE ROLE
You will build our Kubernetes product end to end: a metal-to-on-demand platform built on in-house infrastructure, with GPU support for training, inference, and general-purpose compute.
Kubernetes is our product, not just our platform — we run it on infrastructure we own end to end. You will decide how the control plane scales, how GPUs get scheduled, and how quickly a rack of bare metal becomes an on-demand cluster a customer can use. The decisions you make here shape how our infrastructure scales from today's footprint to a gigawatt, and how we turn frontier AI research into production systems used by millions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and ship the control plane. You own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions — scheduling, operators, provisioning, node lifecycle.
- Own the reliability of the Kubernetes control plane. It is the team's headline KPI. You make the calls when it breaks at 3am.
- Shrink the distance from metal to on-demand. Provisioning a cluster should be minutes of automation, not weeks of tickets.
- Partner with Product Managers to set priorities, scope initiatives, and make the technical and business tradeoffs.
- Raise the engineering bar through code review and knowledge sharing across the Cloud Platform org.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped.
- You have run Kubernetes in anger — and ideally built parts of it: operators, schedulers, controllers. You understand what happens underneath it, and you have worked on Linux directly, not just on managed services that sit on top of it.
- You have run GPU workloads on Kubernetes, or you are confident you can own that domain fast.
- You think like a developer who happens to build infrastructure, not an operator who manages it. You write code other engineers depend on.
- Extensive experience building backend or infrastructure systems.
- You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users.
- A low-ego, team-first mindset. We care less about your exact domain and more about whether you are the kind of technical force other engineers want to work alongside.

Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: VP Operations
Reports to: CEO / Founder
Working model: On-site, London
Working Hours 9am-6pm
Role snapshot
Mission: turn OneDome’s acquisition-led strategy into predictable, high-quality execution across platform, operations and partners.
Primary focus: operating-model design (post-acquisition), completion certainty, and operational efficiency in a regulated environment.
You are the ‘programme manager on steroids’: you hold the whole machine in your head, zoom in/out fast, and relentlessly drive delivery.
Key partners: CEO, Chief of Staff, Product/Tech/Data leaders, Commercial/Partnerships, Risk/Compliance, and heads of acquired businesses.
Success is measured in completions, time-to-complete, cost-to-serve, partner performance, and operational risk outcomes—not activity.
The opportunity
This is a pivotal hire - OneDome has scaled quickly through acquisition and now needs a VP of Operations who can industrialise execution: remove duplicated legacy ways of working, create clarity of ownership, and build an operating cadence that makes performance repeatable.
Key responsibilities
Build and run the operating model: forums, governance, decision rights, OKRs/KPIs and cross-functional rituals that connect strategy to day-to-day delivery.
Lead post-acquisition integration: align processes, tooling, handoffs and incentives across acquired entities and the ‘mothership’ while protecting business continuity.
Own end-to-end completion performance: reduce friction and time-to-complete across mortgage, conveyancing and ancillary services; improve customer certainty and unit economics.
Drive partner operations at scale: set standards, SLAs and performance management across lenders, brokers, conveyancers, surveyors and other third parties.
Partner with Product/Tech/Data to prioritise automation and workflow tooling that de-risks operations, increases transparency, and surfaces issues early.
Strengthen operational risk: embed controls and auditability into operational processes, working closely with specialist risk/compliance functions to protect brand trust.
Build a high-performing operations organisation: structure teams, hire/coach leaders, create playbooks, and establish a culture of pace, detail and accountability.
Create a continuous improvement engine: instrument processes, diagnose failure points with data, and run systematic improvement cycles.
What success looks like
First
90 days
Complete a diagnostic of the current operating model, integration backlog, operational metrics and partner performance.
Agree a clear 100-day plan with the CEO/Chief of Staff: integration priorities, quick wins, and the next operating cadence.
Implement a visible governance rhythm (weekly/bi-weekly) with clean OKRs/KPIs and owners; remove ambiguity on decision rights.
Deliver early improvements in at least one high-friction area of the completion journey to build momentum.
12 months
A repeatable integration playbook that reduces time-to-integrate and avoids ‘legacy sprawl’.
Material improvement in completion rate and time-to-completion, with clear attribution to operational changes.
A stable, scalable operating cadence with reliable forecasting of delivery, partner performance and operational risk hotspots.
An operations team with strong middle leadership and clear accountability across the group.
Person specification
Essential experience
3-5 years of demonstrable operations leadership (COO/VP Ops/Head of Operations) in a fintech start-up/scale-up; marketplace and regulated delivery experience strongly valued.
Proven post-acquisition integration leadership: simplifying multi-entity operating models, harmonising processes and improving execution metrics.
Deep experience running multi-party delivery models reliant on external partners, with rigorous performance management.
Strong data fluency: uses funnel, operational and financial metrics to prioritise work, diagnose issues and make trade-offs.
Demonstrated ability to build cadence, accountability and pace in fast-moving, ambiguous scale-up environments.
Desirable
Formal programme delivery training (e.g., PRINCE2 / MSP / PgMP) or equivalent ‘battle-tested’ experience.
Experience in FCA-influenced or similarly regulated environments; comfort embedding controls without slowing the business to a crawl.
Exposure to mortgage, conveyancing, insurance, or other high-stakes customer journeys.
Behaviours and motivations
Structured and detail-obsessed: enjoys making messy, inherited processes clean and scalable.
High ownership, low ego: will get into the weeds, fix problems, then systematise and delegate.
Fast, clear thinker: can hold complexity and still communicate simply to drive decisions.
Bias for action with sound judgement: knows when to move fast and when to slow down for risk and reputation.

THE ROLE
You will build our serverless containers product: the way developers run AI apps, MCP servers, APIs, and managed workers on our cloud without thinking about servers. Push a container, get an endpoint, scale from zero to thousands of instances and back down — across CPU and GPU.
On a hyperscaler, the serverless layer is a product someone else built. Here you build it end to end: the scheduler that decides where a container lands, the routing path a request takes, the machinery that turns a scaled-to-zero service into a warm instance before a customer notices. All of it runs on metal, network, and datacenters we own.
That tension is the product: scale-to-zero economics with cold starts in milliseconds, autoscaling that absorbs a launch spike without a config change, GPUs scheduled onto containers the way other platforms schedule CPU. The customers betting on this layer are the developers building the next generation of AI software on European infrastructure.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build the container platform end to end: image delivery, placement, request routing, scale-up, scale-to-zero — across CPU and GPU.
- Make cold starts a solved problem: snapshotting, prewarming, image-layer caching, whatever it takes for scale-from-zero to feel instant.
- Treat AI workloads as the normal case: GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, long-lived connections, MCP servers that cost almost nothing while idle.
- Write Go and own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers to turn platform decisions into a product developers want to deploy on.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped.
- You have built container or workload platforms — orchestration, scheduling, isolation, request routing — not just deployed onto someone else's serverless platform.
- Deep Linux: namespaces, cgroups, image layers, page cache — comfortable well below the application layer.
- Multi-tenancy instincts: density, isolation, and fairness when hundreds of customers share one fleet.
- Significant experience building complex backend or infrastructure systems.
- You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users.
- A low-ego, team-first mindset. We care less about your exact domain and more about whether you are the kind of technical force other engineers want to work alongside.
