This role requires attention to detail, dependability, and proactive communication.
This role will work a hybrid schedule in our San Francisco, California or New York, New York Office. We offer generous in-office food and commuter benefits. Both offices have state of the art gym facilities available to employees.

DAILY AP OPERATIONS

- Review, enter, classify, and code vendor invoices in Zip and NetSuite, ensuring complete documentation, appropriate approvals, and purchase order matching where applicable.
- Prepare payment batches for review and approval, monitor payment deadlines, and follow up on outstanding approvals or missing information.
- Support vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records, including tax forms, addresses, payment terms, and verified banking information.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate charges, missing credits, and payment issues; escalate exceptions when needed.
- Review employee expenses and corporate card transactions in Ramp for accurate coding, receipts, approvals, and policy compliance.
CLOSE SUPPORT & SPECIAL PROJECTS
- Reconcile AP activity and balances with the general ledger, investigate differences, and ensure invoices, credits, and payments are properly recorded.
- Support month-end close by identifying unrecorded invoices and potential accruals and preparing supporting schedules for Accounting.
- Maintain vendor tax documentation, including W-9s, and support annual 1099 preparation.
- Follow established approval and payment controls, including verification procedures for vendor banking changes.
- Maintain organized records and provide AP documentation for internal reviews and external audits.
- Support system updates, workflow improvements, and other projects affecting procurement, expenses, accounts payable, and FP&A.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting operations role, with hands-on responsibility for invoice processing and vendor support.
- Curiosity about how processes work and initiative to make them better.
- A solid understanding of invoice coding, purchase orders, payment terms, reconciliations, and basic accrual accounting.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems and the ability to learn new P2P, payment, and AI tools.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciling data across reports.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a habit of checking your work.
- The ability to manage recurring deadlines, prioritize competing requests, and follow through independently.
- Clear, practical communication and a collaborative approach to working with vendors and colleagues.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with NetSuite, Zip, or Ramp.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is building the connected AI workspace where teams and agents think together, bringing knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools into one place. Joining Corporate Accounting means helping build the financial foundation for a business shaping how work gets done in the AI era.
As a Senior Accountant on Corporate Accounting, you’ll own key areas of general ledger accounting and the month-end close, helping ensure accurate, timely reporting. You’ll partner closely with FP&A and cross-functional stakeholders to explain fluctuations, surface issues, and support accurate reporting at Notion’s scale.
This role is based in San Francisco. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own assigned areas across monthly, quarterly, and annual close: Prepare accurate journal entries and adjustments with clear supporting documentation, and complete close work on time.
- By your 90th day, independently manage your assigned close areas, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve outstanding items with a clear rhythm for identifying and escalating issues.
- By your 90th day, analyze financial results and explain variance drivers in management reporting, partnering with FP&A and other stakeholders to make the numbers clear and actionable.
- By your 90th day, use AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline analysis, reconciliations, and recurring workflows—freeing time for higher-judgment accounting work.
- By the end of your first year, strengthen controls and accounting processes across your areas, supporting accurate financial statements.
- By the end of your first year, drive scalable improvements across Corporate Accounting, collaborating with FP&A, AP, Legal, and other teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting, applied to produce accurate and well-supported accounting outcomes.
- Progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years with hands-on ownership of month-end close processes.

For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

About the role
We're a crypto-native group of companies spanning market making, liquidity provision, on-chain trading infrastructure, and software development. We're expanding our accounting and nance team, and this person will work directly with the Head of Finance as a core part of that build out. You'll own the monthly close across multiple entities, keep our crypto subledgers accurate, handle billing and revenue tracking, and support compliance, tax and legal.
What you'll do
• Run the monthly close for several entities in QuickBooks Online, including bank and exchange reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany due to/due from tie-outs, and eliminations for the consolidated package.
• Maintain our crypto subledgers, including importing and validating exchange and on-chain transaction data and reconciling balances back to source.
• Reconcile trading and liquidity activity across CEX accounts, perp venues like Hyperliquid, and DeFi LP positions on Solana and EVM chains, and produce P&L and rollforward schedules.
• Set up and maintain charts of accounts for new entities and business lines as they launch.
• Prepare monthly retainer and revenue share invoices, and maintain the Excel trackers behind them (tiered fee logic, per-client billing bases).
• Support entity structuring work across the group, including intercompany loans, capital contributions and distributions, and the accounting for related party transactions.
• Help prepare annual filings and tax workpapers (BVI financial returns, federal tax memos, and supporting schedules for our outside CPA firm).
• Assemble KYB packages, member and manager registers, and other documentation for banks, brokers and institutional partners.
• Help maintain AML/OFAC program documentation and coordinate responses to regulatory and law enforcement records requests.
• Support HR and payroll ops in Rippling, including deduction setups, payroll corrections and contractor tracking.
• Build and maintain Excel and Google Sheets models: amortization schedules, loan workbooks, portfolio trackers and deal models.
What we're looking for
• Ideally 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in crypto or digital assets.
• CPA, or actively working toward it.
• Real familiarity with digital asset accounting. You understand wallets, token transfers, swaps and perps, and you know how they should be accounted for.
• A working understanding of DeFi, including liquidity pools, AMMs, lending protocols and staking, and how to account for each of them. • Hands-on experience with QBO and at least one crypto subledger.
• Strong Excel skills. INDEX/MATCH, dropdown-driven models and clean reconciliation skills.
• Comfort with multi-entity and intercompany accounting, including related party considerations under GAAP.
• Good judgment on when an issue needs to be escalated and the ability to communicate it clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
Nice to have
• Experience with crypto subledger platforms (TRES, Koinly and Breezing).
• Experience with entity structuring, including multi-entity setups, intercompany arrangements and offshore entities.
• Exposure to BVI or other offshore entity reporting.
• Some scripting ability (Python, Apps Script) for cleaning and transforming transaction exports.
• Experience with Rippling or another EOR/payroll platform.
Why join
You'll work directly with leadership and the Head of Finance, with real ownership over the processes you run. Our processes are established, and you'll be trusted to own them, improve them where it makes sense, and take on challenging problems across a fast-moving group of companies.

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
THE ROLE
Location: While this position is posted in a specific location, all of Oyster's positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever. To create the best experience for our new hire, this role requires you to be based within -5 / +3 UTC.
As Senior Director of Product for our Employer of Record offering, you will own the product vision, strategy and execution across the full EOR employment lifecycle, from onboarding and documentation through time off, benefits, pay and offboarding. That spans the workflows our customers use, the internal tooling our operations teams rely on, and the experience of the employees we employ on our customers' behalf.
This is the core of Oyster's business and it is operationally and legally complex. A payroll delay, a contract issue or a compliance gap becomes a customer escalation, a legal question and an operations fire on the same day. We want someone who treats the whole journey as one experience, for our customers and for the people who have to run it.
As a part of the senior leadership team at Oyster, you will be shaping strategy well beyond your own teams, setting direction across multiple product development teams and trusted to make the calls that define where this part of the business goes. You will be leading through real change: we are raising the bar on performance, moving toward direct feedback and radical candour, and reshaping how we build with AI.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for EOR, and connect team-level work to company outcomes.
- Be accountable for the end-to-end performance of the platform, including the downstream operational reality, not only what ships.
- Turn highly localised, complex regulation into scalable, automated workflows rather than manual workarounds held together by our operations teams.
- Prioritise across new capability, regulatory requirements, technical debt and operational improvement, across several teams at once.
- Coach and grow a team of product managers and group product managers, moving them from delivering features to owning problems and outcomes.
- Partner with Engineering and Design leadership as a real counterpart, holding proper tension on trade-offs without dominating or giving in too easily.
- Partner with Operations, Legal and Finance to shape where this business goes, including the margin and risk picture.
- Build an AI-first way of working in the product organisation: how we discover, prototype and learn, not just what we ship.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years in product management, including 5 to 7 years leading other product managers, with measurable business and customer outcomes behind you.
- Experience in operationally or legally complex B2B or Fintech. HR tech, EOR, payroll or compliance is ideal, though the complexity matters more to us than the sector.
- A systems thinker who starts from first principles and diagnoses before proposing.
- Hands-on experience using AI to change how your team works, not only what it ships. We will ask what decision changed because of something you learned.
- Able to set product vision at business-unit level and generate real buy-in when priorities shift.
- Proven people leadership: coaching product managers into leaders, holding a clear bar, having the difficult conversation early.
- Experience leading through structural change, and comfort with ambiguity as an opportunity rather than a risk.
- Communication strong enough to influence senior stakeholders, backed by a mechanism that turns agreement into delivery.
You'll also need
- A reliable home internet connection, or be able to get one.
- Fluent English language skills.

About the Role:
We’re building a Finance function that can scale with a fast-growing company, and we’re looking for a Financial Analyst who wants to help build it with us. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on accounts payable, expense coding, payment operations, and financial reporting. You’ll help make sure invoices are coded correctly, vendors are paid on time, payment information is accurate, and the Finance team has clear visibility into upcoming cash requirements and company spending.

- Partner across the company. Work with teams across the business to make invoice approvals, expense coding, and purchasing processes easier and more efficient.
- Support the close. Help with month-end AP reconciliations, accruals, expense analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Turn transactions into insights. Prepare reporting around company spending, vendors, payments, outstanding liabilities, and expense trends.
- Automate the boring stuff. Identify repetitive manual work and help implement better workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Grow beyond AP. As you develop, take on projects across cash forecasting, budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and finance systems.
What You’ll Bring:
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related analytical role.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including AP, GL coding and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, plus confidence working with financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail—you notice when something doesn’t look right and investigate why.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with people across different teams.
- A high degree of ownership. If something lands with you, you see it through.
- Curiosity about systems, automation, and how technology can make Finance better.
- Comfort operating in an environment where processes are still evolving.
Compensation:
