.
Your main tasks will be:
Run the infrastructure end-to-end: VPS, dedicated servers, virtual machines, VPN, MFA, firewall, remote access — plus the monitoring, logging, and backups that keep it honest.
Administer Google Workspace completely — accounts, groups, aliases, security policy, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and any migrations that come with it.
Own Slack, OpenAI, and every other SaaS platform we run — including version and system migrations when they happen.
Be the actual IT support for a distributed team — L1/L2 on Mac and Windows, onboarding and offboarding, remote laptop setup, device lifecycle.
Negotiate with vendors, manage procurement, and control payment on cloud resources, licenses, and invoices — the part most sysadmins never touch, but you will.
Show up occasionally when we run an offline "station" and physically set up the room — laptops, mics, sound.
We expect from you:
You've spent 5+ years as a sysadmin or in IT ops, and you've actually run Google Workspace top to bottom — including a domain migration, not just user management.
You know Slack, Confluence, Jira, and SSO/2FA (Okta, Google, Azure AD or similar) from hands-on use, not a course.
You've got working knowledge of at least one public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and the on-prem basics — DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, firewall.
You've built and tested backups, not just scheduled them, and you understand mail security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) well enough to fix it when it breaks.
You've dealt with vendors and procurement directly — contracts, invoices, renewals — this isn't a nice-to-have here, it's half the job.
Scripting (bash/Python/PowerShell) is a plus, not a requirement.
Your English and Russian are both solid enough — B1+ — to run a call with a vendor without a script.

This role requires someone who can context-switch across multiple finance domains, establish lightweight but effective program management practices, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly. You will be instrumental in helping Anthropic scale its international footprint so that every new entity is ready to operate and meet its obligations from day one.
Responsibilities
Program Management:
Manage a portfolio of international entity set-ups, ensuring clear prioritization, resource alignment, and delivery accountability across the Finance teams that own the deliverables

Status Tracking & Reporting:
Provide clear, consistent visibility into project health, milestones, dependencies, and risks through structured reporting to the Head of International Accounting, functional leads, and Finance leadership, and maintain the inventory of entities and the infrastructure expansion pipeline
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Lead cross-functional coordination across Finance Operations, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Finance Systems, Legal and People Operations teams to drive alignment and remove blockers

Compliance Coordination:
Partner with the Tax, Payroll and Accounting teams and local advisers to support the registrations, filings and compliance calendar of each new entity
Change Management:
Drive user adoption for new entity processes and controls through structured change management, including training, communication plans, and post-go-live support
Vendor Management:
Track and manage vendor delivery timelines, SOW commitments, and partner accountability across the banks and the payroll, tax and accounting providers in each country
AI Initiative Tracking:
Coordinate AI automation initiatives within the international expansion portfolio, tracking progress on Claude-powered use cases and ensuring integration with broader Finance roadmap
Minimum Qualifications
Have 10+ years of experience in program management, project management, or PMO roles, with at least 3 years working in finance or accounting
Have hands-on experience managing complex entity set-ups, international expansion programs or multi-country roll-outs
Can manage multiple concurrent workstreams across different finance domains without losing sight of the details or the big picture
Are skilled at building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal and People Operations teams
Have experience designing and implementing governance frameworks that provide accountability without excessive overhead, particularly in fast-paced, agile environments
Possess strong analytical skills and can synthesize complex project data into clear, executive-ready reporting
Are proficient with modern project management tools (Asana, Jira, or similar) and entity management tools and can quickly establish portfolio-level visibility and dashboards
Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex project information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and can navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on delivery and deadlines

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
