WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
ABOUT COHERE AND NORTH
Cohere is revolutionizing enterprise AI with North, an agentic AI platform designed to securely deploy AI agents and automations within organizations' infrastructure. North empowers employees to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and unlock actionable insights while ensuring data privacy and compliance. North combines cutting-edge generative and search models with customizable integrations to drive productivity and innovation at scale.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Agent Harness Product Manager to own the execution layer that makes North agents reliable, capable, and production-ready. This is a role that sits at the intersection of three domains:
Agent Loop and Execution.
Own the core agent runtime: tool orchestration, parallel execution, sub-agent delegation, sandbox code execution, and failure recovery. You will define how North agents plan and act across long, multi-step workflows and ensure the execution environment is robust enough for the most demanding enterprise tasks. You are expected to engage at the implementation level, contributing to architecture decisions alongside engineering rather than simply handing off requirements.
Context Engineering.
Own how our Agents manage the context window as a deliberately controlled resource. This includes progressive disclosure of tools and skills, context compaction and summarization, offloading of large payloads to a persistent filesystem, and the instrumentation that keeps agents oriented across extended trajectories.
Model-Scaffolding Co-evolution.
Own the feedback loop between North's harness and the Modeling Team. This PM is the connective tissue that makes that possible: ensuring harness design decisions are validated by Modeling before they are built, that evals are the shared bridge between both teams, and that as the harness evolves the model evolves with it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and own the roadmap for North's agent harness, including the agent loop, context engineering layer, tool orchestration, sandbox execution, and sub-agent delegation
- Serve as the primary interface between North engineering and Cohere's Modeling team, ensuring new harness capabilities are validated before being built and that neither team paints itself into a corner
- Own North's agentic evaluation framework, ensuring evals are compatible with both the North harness and Modeling's training infrastructure, and that they serve as a reliable bridge between product and research
- Engage enterprise customers to surface real-world agentic failures and translate findings into concrete product and model requirements
- Partner with the agentic expert modeling team to define goals that maximize the impact of our models and prioritize model capabilities and evals most critical for delivering on those goals. Establish a clear roadmap for our agentic modeling capabilities.
- Stay current with the open-source and commercial agent ecosystem and drive adoption decisions that keep North's architecture aligned with emerging standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of product management experience as a research PM, in agentic AI systems,, or applied ML products
- Deep understanding of agentic harnesses, including the latest paid and open source offerings.
- Deep understanding of modern LLM agent architectures, including multi-agent systems, tool-augmented reasoning, memory and retrieval, programmatic orchestration, RAG, and long-horizon execution
- Strong grasp of agentic evaluation design, including how to measure task completion, failure recovery, and long-horizon reliability, and how to diagnose model vs. scaffolding gaps
- Technically deep enough to contribute to architecture decisions at the implementation level: comfortable reviewing and shaping design docs, reasoning about async execution patterns, sandboxed environments, filesystem design, and the tradeoffs that come with building harness capabilities into a production platform
- Ability to flex between ML research conversations and engineering architecture discussions with equal fluency
- Track record of shipping platform-layer products with demonstrated impact on reliability, performance, or capability.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Direct experience in developing and shipping leading agentic harnesses.
- An active practitioner of agent frameworks who regularly builds with and follows the latest developments in open-source harnesses, coding agents, and orchestration tools in both professional and personal work
- Hands-on experience with enterprise agentic deployments: multi-tenant orchestration, tool permissioning, audit trails, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with infrastructure constraints relevant to enterprise deployments: on-premises environments, scalability challenges, and the operational tradeoffs of running complex agent workloads in restricted or air-gapped settings
- Prior work at the intersection of research and product, translating nascent model capabilities into shipped product features
- Background working within or closely alongside an ML research or post-training team.
WHY JOIN COHERE?
- Impact: Shape how Canada's most important public institutions adopt and deploy frontier AI.
- Innovation: Work alongside leading researchers and engineers solving complex ML challenges.
- Growth: Competitive compensation, equity options, and opportunities for professional development.
- Flexibility: Hybrid work model with offices in key global locations (Toronto, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, and Korea)
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.
If any of the above doesn’t line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
We strive to create an inclusive work environment for all; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.
We may use AI-enabled tools to screen and assess applicants against the criteria for this position. This helps our recruiters identify potentially qualified candidates, but it doesn't limit the applications our recruiters may review or consider.

RESPONSIBILITES
- Own Perplexity’s end-to-end demand generation strategy with direct accountability for enterprise top of funnel growth and downstream conversion to revenue.
- Architect and operate a modern demand engine using AI-native tooling—programmatic outbound, AI-personalized sequences, intent-based targeting, and automated workflows—that generates qualified pipeline at scale. We don’t buy, we build.
- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns across paid, organic, ABM, events, partnerships, and emerging channels, continuously testing new motions, killing what doesn’t work, and doubling down on incremental impact.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
This role sits at the frontier of our research agenda. You will pursue open problems at the intersection of post-training methodology and performant inference, and then collaborate with research engineering to translate findings into production systems.
A meaningful portion of your time will be dedicated to research that deepens our understanding of how models learn, alignment, and architectural efficiency — questions that may not have immediate product application. The remainder will be directed toward research that solves concrete problems for Baseten's platform and customers, who are the fastest growing AI companies in the world like Cursor, Lovable, and Notion.
We are looking for someone with sharp research taste and genuine creative instinct for problem selection. Someone who can identify questions that matter, design clean experiments to answer them, and push the state of the art. The environment here is not theoretical, but rather research that can be validated with eager customers who are serving billions of tokens a second.
The Manifesto: https://labs.baseten.co/manifesto
RECENT RESEARCH
- Towards infinite context windows: neural KV cache compaction https://www.baseten.co/research/towards-infinite-context-windows-neural-kv-cache-compaction/
- Dense, on-policy or both? https://www.baseten.co/research/dense-on-policy-or-both/
- Repeated kv cache for long-running agents https://www.baseten.co/research/repeated-kv-cache-for-long-running-agents/
- Distillation without the dark – replicating black-box on-policy distillation on Baseten https://www.baseten.co/research/distillation-without-the-dark/
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and pursue a research agenda spanning both foundational and applied work, with the applied component connected to Baseten's platform and customer needs.
- Design and execute rigorous experiments, frequently at meaningful scale (multi-node, trillion parameter models).
- Work with customers to translate domain-specific requirements into research problems, where relevant to your agenda.
- Publish at top venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) and establish Baseten's research presence.
- Collaborate with model performance and training infrastructure teams to bridge research findings and inference production systems.
- Mentor junior researchers and shape the technical direction of the research organization as it grows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or PhD research depth in machine learning, with first-author publications at top venues
- Demonstrated ability to move from theory through implementation to empirical results — not exclusively theoretical or exclusively engineering work
- Judgment about problem selection, the ability to distinguish research that advances a metric from research that changes how systems are built
- Willingness to operate in a startup environment where the majority of research informs product decisions, with timelines measured in months rather than years
- Background spanning multiple research areas (e.g., both interpretability and RL, or both systems and training methodology)
- Track record of open-source contributions or community building in ML research
OUR VIEW ON TALENT
Many of the labs that exist today run a credentialist talent model. Concentrate the most already-legible researchers, and assume the concentration compounds. The best researchers in this field are very often not yet legible. Research engineers who have spent years inside a production stack and developed insights no PhD program teaches; PhDs working on the wrong-shaped problem at the right-shaped lab; operators who have been close to real systems long enough to see things credentialed researchers have never had to see. If you don’t have the traditional qualifications and are doing exceptional work, we’d love to chat.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.

We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Act as a primary point of accountability for customer trust enablement, including participation in customer meetings, security reviews and AI governance.
- Contribute to AI Governance including building guardrails to align with AI regulations (EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF and local EU laws).

- Own and evolve customer-facing trust materials and narratives related to AI, privacy, and security.
- Represent Sierra in customer audits and formal assessments, clearly explaining security posture, governance decisions, and risk management approaches.
- Support resilience and response expectations as part of broader governance, with an emphasis on learning and continuous improvement.
- Continuously improve trust by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, increase automation, and improve signal quality, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy and quality.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 16M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Reports To: VP of Product
Location: Remote US
Compensation: $230,000 to $250,000
base plus bonus and equity
About the Role:
We are building a product management organization to own and drive our product strategy and are looking for an experienced product manager to join this growing team. As a Staff Product Manager at Huntress, you will assist the CTO in driving the success and expansion of our SIEM product launched in October 2024. We are not building yet another SIEM that intends to replicate what every other SIEM already does. We are building a SIEM that focuses on what really matters to our Small Enterprise and SMB partners. They don’t need a SIEM with all the advanced features and the costs that come with that; they need a SIEM that keeps the relevant data, reduces the noise, makes it easy to find what they need, doesn’t require full-time employees to manage, and works at a cost that fits their budget. This is an opportunity to upend the existing SIEM market for everyone who wants or needs a SIEM but whose current solutions don’t work.
This position offers the chance to help scale the vision of an already wildly successful company past $200M and beyond, sustaining and building on a remarkable existing growth rate. You will make an impact on the vision, goals, and, in partnership with other functions, execution of a SaaS offering (like other Huntress products) that keeps SMB and mid-market customers safe and secure with cutting-edge capabilities currently only found in the largest enterprises. You will work very closely with the company founders, product leaders, engineering leaders, support, sales, and marketing teams, as well as other Product Managers.
To be successful in this position, you must possess a combination of strong business acumen and technical skills to bridge customer business requirements with trends in the threat landscape. You’ll be asked to frequently interact with customers, prospects, and industry analysts to articulate our value proposition.
What You’ll Do:
Work with the Portfolio Leader and relevant stakeholders to assist in setting the SIEM product vision and strategy, and clearly articulate the business value so that everyone understands where we are headed
Analyze market trends and perform competitor analysis and research in order to drive strategy as well as pricing and the product roadmap
Demonstrate an ability to decipher and articulate potentially ambiguous client needs and mold them into successful, innovative solutions that surprise and delight the customer
Work with designers, engineers, and architects to create detailed business requirements, epics, and user stories that will be used to shape product specifications and architecture
Prioritize features by assessing their alignment with the broader product strategy and initiatives, as well as unmet market needs
Participate as a key contributor in all phases of product development, from discovery to launch
Drive and manage product roadmap and go-to-market strategy by working closely with marketing, sales, and executive leadership teams
Collaborate with marketing and other key stakeholders to drive and execute product launches to market
Derive feedback and insights from customers through face-to-face interaction and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle
Serve as the intermediary between engineering and senior management and other non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to break down and translate highly technical information into layman's terms and vice versa
Drive high-level strategic initiatives and execution while possessing a willingness to dig into the weeds
Work with design and engineering teams to produce mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to assess the validity and strength of a new product or feature idea.
Manage and drive results from user experience testing and gain crucial insights into how customers use (or don’t use) the platform
In partnership with product operations, provide product metrics, including conversion rate, churn rate, and monthly recurring revenue, etc., to track and evaluate the success of the product strategy
What You Bring To The Team:
7+ years of experience in a product management role with past responsibility for SIEM products; bonus for SOAR Products
Demonstrated success driving longer-term vision and strategy that resulted in outperformance
Experience leading product innovation, feature ideation, delivery, and launch
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering products utilizing artificial intelligence tools and technologies, such as Claude or similar
Experience working in an agile development environment using agile development tools
Leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to create epics and stories for engineering that align engineers with intended outcomes
Experience with products delivered from AWS or other cloud environments
Strong creative and critical thinking abilities
Experience building products for the SMB is a significant benefit
What We Offer:
100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
12 weeks of paid parental leave
Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution

Stock options for
all
full-time employees
One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
$75 USD/month digital reimbursement
Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth
Huntress is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where every single member of our team is valued, has a voice, and is empowered to come to work every day just as they are.
We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.
