You'll work directly with Perplexity's senior leadership to spearhead a broad portfolio of strategic technology initiatives across policy, law, operations, and corporate affairs.
As a Member of Technical Staff in the Policy & Strategic Initiatives group, you'll occupy a front-row seat to the foremost policy issues animating the AI ecosystem. You'll also get a panoptic view of how leading AI companies operate, make decisions, and engage with broader society.
Those seeking to marry technical expertise and broader interests in law, policy, and corporate affairs will find a home in this role. You'll make contributions to Perplexity that defy traditional boundaries, with a bench of mentors who will push you to learn and grow day after day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Your work will be both highly interdisciplinary and firmly grounded in engineering rigor. On any given day, you might:
- Harness AI agents to research high-stakes policy and regulatory issues pertaining to Perplexity.
- Build automated platforms for harvesting, prioritizing, and patenting Perplexity's inventions, in collaboration with our AI researchers and intellectual property attorneys.
- Work hands-on with our Legal team and outside counsel in support of high-tech litigation matters in U.S. federal court.
- Engineer privacy and compliance systems that efficiently scale with our growing portfolio of frontier AI products (such as Comet https://www.perplexity.ai/comet and Computer https://www.perplexity.ai/products/computer).
- Contribute to regulatory filings and responses that require impeccable command of AI technology, Perplexity's own systems, and the broader policy landscape.
- Embed with our People team to implement first-party software solutions for recruiting, labor compliance, and performance management.
- Participate in meetings with Capitol Hill, executive branch officials, international partners, and civil society as a subject-matter expert on both AI technology and policy.
The above is a small sampling of activities; no two days will be the same, and your work will take you to all corners of our company. You'll interact each day with Perplexity's senior leaders, who will come to rely on you as a creative problem solver for simple and complex matters alike.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
No single profile defines our ideal candidate for this role. Here are some examples of people who might thrive here:
- Exceptionally talented early-career engineers (new grads welcome) who are (1) well-read in law, tech policy, or economics, and (2) wish to grow in both technical and non-technical disciplines.
- We welcome candidates who plan to attend law school or PhD programs in the future; we ask for a minimum 2-year commitment (i.e., you would apply for the entering class of 2028 or later).
- Experienced engineers at top tech companies who wish to develop policy, business, and operations chops.
- Lawyers or economists (new JD or PhD grads welcome) who've kept their engineering skills sharp and are excited to reimagine their fields in the age of AI.
- This is a non-exhaustive list; other profiles may also be great fits.
No matter which profile describes you, we'll also be looking for:
- Evidence of exceptional ability and 99th-percentile work ethic.
- Strong technical skills at or above Perplexity's hiring bar for software engineers.
- Fluency with frontier intelligence tools (such as Perplexity Computer https://www.perplexity.ai/products/computer).

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America. We have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle.
We’re looking for an AI-Native Social Media Creative, a creative generalist who works natively with AI tools to produce exceptional short-form work for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X. Your background might be in editing, directing, design, animation, art direction or writing. What matters is that you’re already deeply embedded in AI-assisted creative workflows and are pushing the boundaries of what these tools can do. Editing is the core of the role, and you know how to cut short-form video that holds attention from the first frame to the last.
This is a making role. You’ll create work across formats, from short-form video and motion to design and editorial, using Runway’s products and the broader landscape of generative AI tools. Some days you’ll be cutting a launch-day Reel from generated footage. Other days you’ll be jumping on a trend the moment it breaks, building out tutorial content or exploring a creative application of a product feature no one’s tried yet. The output varies; the throughput and quality standard don’t.
Much of your work will sit at the top of the funnel, often as someone’s first encounter with Runway. It needs to stop the scroll, perform with the algorithm and feel native to each platform. You’ll also work in real time, turning model releases, trends and cultural moments into fast, reactive content while they’re still peaking.
You’ll sit within the creative department and report to the Social Media Lead. But the nature of the role means you’ll also work across product, research and marketing, often as the person who translates a product capability into a compelling creative artifact that’s geared to social audiences.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create high-quality short-form video, motion, design and animation for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X using AI tools, primarily Runway’s own products
- Edit short-form content built to hold attention, from the opening hook through the final frame
- Develop concepts and execute finished work, not just prototypes, from initial idea through final output
- Create top-of-funnel content that stops the scroll and performs with each platform’s algorithm
- Respond to trends, news and cultural moments with fast, real-time content
- Explore and push the creative boundaries of generative AI tools, finding new techniques, workflows and visual languages
- Produce content across brand campaigns, product marketing, social, tutorials and internal demos
- Partner with product and research teams to translate new features and model capabilities into creative work that showcases what’s possible
- Contribute to the team’s evolving creative process by sharing workflows, techniques and best practices as the tools themselves evolve
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 4 to 8 years of professional creative experience in social, in editing, directing, design, animation, art direction, writing or a combination
- Exceptional short-form editing skills, with a strong instinct for hooks, pacing and sound
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional creative output made with AI tools, not just traditional work, and not just experimentation, but polished, intentional creative work
- Deep, hands-on fluency with generative AI creative tools: you use them daily and understand their capabilities and constraints at a practitioner level
- Strong visual and conceptual taste: you know what good looks like regardless of the medium or how it was made
- Proven understanding of social media across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, with a strong handle on trends, formats, strategies and what each algorithm rewards
- Real-time instincts: you spot trends early and turn quality work around fast
- Self-direction and creative initiative: you don’t wait for a brief to start making
- Curiosity about the technology itself: you follow model releases, experiment with new tools and understand the trajectory of generative AI
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the tools, workflows and possibilities are changing constantly
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.

- You'll work directly with Founders, Public Affair as well as Public Sector and Enterprise leadership.
- Real ownership from day one, in one of the fastest-growing tech unicorns in Europe.
⭐️ YOUR ROLE
Relationships & Presence
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with the organizations that represent employees and members across the sectors that matter to Alan (unions, federations, and the structures that convene them).
- Map the ecosystem, prioritize interlocutors, and design the engagement strategy at confederal, federal and branch level.
- Represent Alan in federations, working groups, congrès and paritariste institutions where our sector’s future is discussed.

Partnership with Alan's Enterprise & Public Sector work

Sector Engagement & Anticipation
- Follow the dialogue at branch level and across the paritariste ecosystem and turn that understanding into internal clarity.
- Represent Alan in the federations and working groups where our sector's future is discussed, contributing a constructive and recognizable voice.

⭐ IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
You’ll be a great fit for the Union Relations Lead role at Alan if you:

- Have legitimate credibility at federation level: ability to engage federation leadership as a peer, built through a personal representative past or years of substantive engagement at federation level on employer side.

Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ YOUR MISSION
Brokers play a structural role in how large and very large employers select, negotiate, and manage their health and prévoyance coverage. We're looking for a Broker Partnerships Lead to build and animate Alan's relationships with the brokers who operate in the Enterprise segment, turning Alan into a trusted, credible, and commercially compelling partner for those actors, and supporting our Enterprise Sales and Key Account Management teams.
⭐ LOCATION
On-site in Paris, Île-de-France.
What makes this role genuinely unique
- You'll shape how one of Europe's fastest-growing health insurance companies builds its relationships with the brokers operating in the large and very large employer segment across France, and beyond.
- You'll have real ownership from day one and operate at the highest levels of the broker market.
- You'll shape Alan’s broker strategy and execute it. Alan is at an early stage of building this capability. The playbook is yours to define and scale.
- You'll work directly with Alan's Enterprise Sales, Key Account Management, Insurance, and Executive Leadership.
⭐ YOUR ROLE
Relationships & Presence
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with the brokers that sit between us and the largest employers in our markets (whether private or public), at senior and managing director level.
- Map the ecosystem, prioritize interlocutors, and design Alan's engagement strategy.
- Be the consistent Alan voice that brokers recognize: someone who shows up, follows through, and is known as easy to deal with without giving away what shouldn't be given.
Partnership with Alan's Enterprise & Commercial work
- Be a partner to our Enterprise Sales and KAM teams on every broker situation: drive strategic decisions deal by deal and turn ecosystem knowledge into commercial leverage.
- Introduce the right broker contacts at the right moment in the commercial cycle, transforming relationship capital into pipeline access on large and very large accounts.
- Share Alan's value and positioning with broker partners to help them understand, represent, and actively promote Alan within their client portfolios.
- Hold the line on our non-negotiables while finding creative ways to make the collaboration work for both sides.
Sector Engagement & Anticipation
- Follow the broker market at deal level and ecosystem level: who is growing, who is consolidating, where portfolio shifts are happening, and what it means for Alan's pipeline and positioning.
- Be a sharp, early internal voice on where the broker market is heading and on the implications for Alan's strategy, including on consolidation, regulation, and competitive dynamics.
Build & Scale
- Knowledge base: Build and maintain a knowledge library on broker positions, portfolio footprints, engagement history, and contractual frameworks shared with Enterprise Sales and KAM teams to increase win rates.
- Framework & tools: Implement processes and AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of our broker engagement and contract documentation (conventions de courtage, commission tracking, data sharing agreements).
- Collaboration: Share best practices with the broader Enterprise & Commercial team and contribute proven methodologies to their scaled commercial operations.
- Market intelligence: Provide competitive intelligence on how brokers position Alan vs. incumbents, how they advise clients on insurer selection, and where we are perceived as "difficult to work with" — and feed that back into product, pricing, and GTM strategy.
⭐ IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
You’ll be a great fit for this opportunity if you:
- Have at least 8 years of total experience working with or inside the broker ecosystem: at a broker or in an external partnership or distribution role at a health insurer or mutuelle
- Have legitimate credibility at senior broker level: ability to engage managing director and senior leadership at major brokers as a peer, built through a personal representative past or years of substantive deal-level engagement on the insurer or employer side
- Have deep knowledge of the broker ecosystem in the large and very large employer segment: how brokers operate, how they are compensated, how they advise clients, and how they influence insurer selection at this scale
- Have deep understanding of health and prévoyance insurance: the technical dimension (garanties, gestion, régimes, prévoyance) must be native, not learned on the job
- Have proven ability to build trust with broker counterparts from the insurer or employer side: long-game, trustworthy, discreet, commercially disciplined
- Demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management: calm, ego-free, able to represent Alan substantively without making it about yourself and equally able to hold firm positions internally when sales pressure pushes toward broker accommodation beyond our framework
- Demonstrate commercial impact from prior broker-related work: broker relationships that translated into material deal flow, pipeline access, or portfolio migration
- Are a self-starter: comfortable building from scratch in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with limited process and real autonomy
- Are ego-free and lever-minded: you accelerate others, you don't seek the spotlight
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the F-H level range https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity.
