About Somnia:
SOMNIA is the Agentic Chain - a hyper-performance L1 operating at an order of magnitude faster than existing networks. We empower builders and traders to create real-time, autonomous, and fully decentralized products, powered by agents, that were previously impossible and cannot be built anywhere else. It’s where the future of Web3 protocols will be built, so we’re facilitating a new wave of on-chain applications from DEX to Prediction Protocols and much, much more.
Somnia is being developed by Somnia Foundation backed by Improbable https://www.improbable.io/, a British tech Unicorn +++ that has been at the forefront of building virtual worlds for over a decade. Somnia received initial funding from MSquared https://www.msquared.io/, which raised $150 million https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220407005101/en/Improbable-Raises-US150m-to-Establish-M%C2%B2-MSquared-a-Metaverse-Network-and-Ecosystem-Powered-by-Its-Morpheus-Technology from a16z crypto, SoftBank, Mirana Ventures, CMT Digital, and SIG.
About the Role:
DreamDEX makes a hard claim: CEX execution without DEX custody. A fully on-chain CLOB with sub-10ms, zero trading fees, self-custody and transparent rules, competing head-on with Hyperliquid, Lighter and the large centralised exchanges.
An exchange wins or dies on liquidity, and early liquidity comes from relationships. Market makers must sign and quote tight. Builders must route flow to us. Institutions must trust a new venue with size. You will own those relationships.
You'll run business development for dreamDEX and carry the wider Somnia story (the L1, Somnia Agents, Prophecy) into institutional conversations. You'll work directly with the GTM leads and core team, with a mandate to source, structure and close the deals that put depth on the book and volume through it. We measure every deal by the liquidity, volume and TVL it produces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the market maker pipeline: source, pitch, negotiate and onboard MMs, from DeFi-native firms early on to an anchor tier 1 relationship, structuring deals across CLOB rewards, fee arrangements and liquidity commitments
- Get DreamDEX integrated with the major spot and cross-chain aggregators, then manage those relationships so we keep winning flow on price
- Build and activate the institutional pipeline: trading firms, funds, family offices, OTC desks, prime brokers and custodians, with white-glove onboarding for qualified institutions
- Build an active Builder pipeline: Trading terminals, AI strategies and native apps to drive users and volume to the Dex.
- Close liquidity deals that grow TVL: institutional LPs, protocol and DAO treasuries, and vault operators
- Land distribution partnerships that feed the exchange: wallets, perp aggregators and bridges
- Support broader Somnia BD where your network applies: ecosystem projects, stablecoin partners and treasury deals on the L1
- Feed market intelligence back to product: you hear first what MMs and institutions need (RFQ flow, reporting, credit arrangements, API features) and help shape the roadmap
- Represent DreamDEX and Somnia at conferences and in the rooms where these deals get done
Requirements:
Must Have
- Business development experience at a crypto exchange (CEX, perp DEX or spot DEX) covering market makers, institutional clients or listings
- A real network across institutions in crypto and/or TradFi: trading firms, market makers, funds, prime brokers and OTC desks. You open doors on day one rather than building a list from scratch
- Closed deals with measurable impact on volume, liquidity or TVL, and the ability to walk us through the numbers
- A working understanding of exchange mechanics: order books, spreads and depth, perps and margin, liquidations, MM economics and incentive design
- Ability to run a full deal cycle alone, from sourcing through structuring and negotiation to post-signature relationship management
- Comfort operating early in a venue's life, when you are selling the roadmap as much as the product
Nice to Have
- TradFi background in prime brokerage, electronic trading or institutional sales
- Existing relationships with DEX aggregators, wallets, custodians or vault operators
- Experience taking a new venue through cold start; you have solved the empty order book problem before
- Experience structuring token or incentive-based deals
- Working knowledge of DeFi: CLOB DEXs, vaults, stablecoins and yield products
- Experience selling to DAOs and protocol treasuries
Why Join Somnia?
Design The Future: Join Somnia to work remotely with a global team, earn competitive compensation with token incentives, and help build the future of Web3 at a company where your impact truly matters.
First of its Kind: Make Somnia famous as the only hyperspeed L1 with native AI inference.
High Stakes: Influence a brand targeting a $1M+ launch budget in the 2026 peak-fragility market.
Incentives: Competitive salary + tokens.

An overview of this role
At GitLab, our mission is simple: to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world.
As a Senior Backend Engineer on
Tenant Controls
, you'll design, implement, and evolve backend capabilities for a global platform that millions use. You'll solve problems of high scope and complexity, influence technical and product direction, and improve system quality, reliability, and performance beyond assigned feature work. Working across product, frontend, infrastructure, data, and security, you'll make pragmatic architectural trade-offs and partner with product managers and designers to deliver value to users in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
What you’ll do
Design and ship moderate to complex backend features with minimal guidance, choosing between modular-monolith code, shared components, and independently operated services.
Influence team objectives, technical direction, and long-range goals, partnering with product managers and designers to shape requirements around user needs.
Define backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, application programming interfaces (APIs), and operational readiness, advocating for quality, security, availability, and performance.
Mentor associate and intermediate engineers, remove technical blockers, and improve delivery practices through code and design reviews.
Diagnose and prevent performance and reliability issues at scale, participate in incident response, and act as a technical owner where appropriate.
Experiment with and integrate agentic AI into production engineering workflows, evaluate its effectiveness, and coach others on responsible use and sound judgment.
What you’ll bring
Strong command of backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance tuning in a complex product or service environment.
Proficiency in modern backend languages and a deep understanding of systems programming, with the ability to learn and adapt rather than mastery of a single language.
Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.
Ability to lead through influence, technical judgment, and clear asynchronous written communication, connecting product needs with technical decisions and directing your own work.
Experience building or operating agentic AI systems in production, including loops, tool use, and error-handling strategies that support reliability at scale, beyond prompt engineering alone.
Helpful, but not required: experience with high-throughput distributed systems, concurrency or profiling; containerized production operations (such as Kubernetes); database performance (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, schema evolution or partitioning); large-scale modular monoliths or event-driven systems; public technical communication, open source maintenance or developer-focused software as a service (SaaS).

What you'll do
Run discovery with clients and prospects, on site and remotely, and work closely with the solutions consultants to set the agenda for what they learn in the field
Build and run a discovery channel of your own: a panel of compliance, risk and operations practitioners at banks, VASPs and regulators for structured (including paid) interviews, so requirements never depend on a single client
Convert client conversations and consultant findings into actionable, prioritized product and feature decisions, with the reason behind each request documented, and defend the ranking to leadership

Join Business Development and consultants on key client visits, primarily in the US, with occasional travel to Europe, the Middle East and other markets
Own the roadmap conversation with the CEO, Business Development and Engineering

Native or fully proficient English, with professional presentation skills to senior compliance, risk and regulatory audiences
Established prioritization framework and a record of turning customer input into shipped features
Sufficient technical fluency to challenge engineering decisions and hold a position under pushback
Directs discovery through others as well as first-hand: part of the customer input comes via consultants, and the role sets their agenda
Regular travel within the US and international travel as required
Bonus points
Prior product experience at a blockchain intelligence or crypto compliance platform
Familiarity with FATF, Travel Rule, sanctions or MiCA-type requirements as they apply to digital assets
Familiarity with US, UK or EU digital asset regulation
Experience working with regulators or on regulatory tenders

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a RevOps Systems Architect to help build a modern, AI-powered revenue operations stack. This isn't a traditional Salesforce admin role. We're building a GTM tech stack where AI is a first-class citizen, automations are genuinely intelligent, and our CRM is a living system that reflects how our business actually works.
You'll function as a Salesforce admin and backend developer in one. You'll own platform administration, build complex automations via Flows and Apex, and develop and maintain custom services and integrations, including Salesforce MCP servers and AI tooling that connect our CRM to the broader systems our team runs on. For larger engineering efforts, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our engineering team, scoping and shipping together.
In this role, you will:
- Administer our Salesforce org: object model, data architecture, user configuration, and platform health.
- Build and maintain automations via Salesforce Flows, Apex, and custom services that power our GTM processes end to end.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce MCP servers and AI tooling that extend CRM functionality into AI-powered workflows.
- Design and maintain SQL-based data pipelines that feed dashboards and revenue reporting across the org.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clean technical scope, from stakeholder conversation to implemented solution.
REQUIREMENTS
- Salesforce administration experience with deep familiarity across the object model, Flows, data loading tools, and platform configuration.
- Strong Apex development skills: you can build, debug, and maintain custom logic, triggers, and integrations without leaning on a separate engineering team.
- SQL proficiency: you can decompose ambiguous questions into answerable queries and are comfortable with complex joins, aggregations, and pipeline logic.
- Systems mindset: you can hold an end-to-end process in your head, trace a field from its origin through every downstream dependency, and anticipate what breaks when something changes.
- Excited by modern tooling: you're drawn to building AI-native systems and are curious about where Salesforce, MCP, and AI agents intersect.
Bonus:
- Familiarity with dbt or modern data transformation tooling.
- Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or Looker.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
Sierra’s Applied Research team advances the quality, speed, and cost efficiency of the models powering our agents across a wide range of tasks. Our work spans post-training open-weight models for specialized capabilities and pioneering new approaches to voice AI, turning research breakthroughs into reliable production systems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Tackle unsolved applied AI and ML problems. Pushing the boundaries of post-training, voice AI, and long-horizon task execution, building agents that can reason, adapt, and reliably carry out complex tasks for customers.
- Determine when to build specialized models and when to use externally provided frontier intelligence, balancing quality, speed, and cost to deliver customer value.
- Turn ambiguous product and customer problems into well-framed machine learning problems.
- Develop, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy models that improve Sierra’s customer-facing AI agents.
- Advance our post-training work, from supervised fine-tuning toward reinforcement learning and long-horizon optimization.
- Build rigorous evaluations that connect model performance to real-world agent quality.
- Work with large-scale, proprietary datasets spanning text and audio interactions.
- Collaborate across Sierra while taking ideas from experimentation through production deployment and customer impact.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong experience building and deploying production machine learning and AI systems. We welcome backgrounds across applied ML, including search, ranking, recommendations, advertising, language, and speech.
- Excellent judgment in framing product problems as ML tasks and selecting the simplest & most effective approach.
- Experience working deeply with data, experimentation, evaluation, and model iteration.
- A practical, evidence-driven approach to ML, with strong judgement around when a problem calls for modeling and when a simpler solution will deliver the best outcome.
- The ability to operate with high agency and work across the stack when needed to deliver an outcome.
- Alignment with Sierra’s values, including Craftsmanship, Customer Obsession, and Competitive Intensity.
- A degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
EVEN BETTER…
- Experience with supervised fine-tuning or reinforcement learning.
- Experience in search, ranking, recommendations, or advertising systems.
- Experience training and deploying language, speech, or multimodal models.
- Experience designing model evaluations tied to real-world product outcomes.
- Experience working with large-scale consumer datasets or high-volume ML products.

THE ADVENTURE AHEAD
This is a partner marketing role built for pipeline. You'll turn a small number of high-potential partnerships (think AWS, Deloitte, and Carahsoft) into real, measurable revenue channels. You'll also be our enterprise marketing lead for regulated industries, specifically life sciences and government, where trust, compliance, and the right partner relationships decide who wins.
The objective is clear, but the playbook is yours to define. Some weeks you'll build an account plan with an AWS demand gen partner. Other weeks you'll plan a field event for healthcare or federal buyers, or work with sales on a named account list. The goal is to leverage partner channels to generate Enterprise, public sector and life sciences pipeline.
🗓️ THE DAY-TO-DAY
Partner Marketing That Generates Pipeline (the core of the job)
- Run joint programs with a small number of select partners (AWS, Deloitte, Carahsoft, and others as we prove what works) that move Enterprise and Gov pipeline.
- Make AWS work harder. Partner with our AWS demand gen resource by supplying what's been missing: target account selection, strong assets, account intelligence, seller engagement, tracking, and a packaged pitch AWS sellers can use.
- Use partner relationships to open doors at named ABM accounts, through formal partner workflows and one-off introductions, and build a repeatable process around both.
- Work closely with the Partnerships team on joint planning, co-funded activity, and accountability on timelines and lead commitments.
- Own partner-sourced and partner-influenced attribution with RevOps so we know what's working and where to invest.
Field Events
- Plan and run field events that put us in front of enterprise buyers, including Supper Clubs and partner co-hosted dinners, roundtables, and executive gatherings.
- Work with partners to co-fund and co-host events, with registrant targets and clear roles agreed up front.
- Partner with AEs, BDRs, and partner managers before and after every event so meetings, follow-up, and pipeline actually happen.
- Support our presence at industry events (for example, HR Tech, Unleash, DevLearn, and GovLoop) and turn them into pipeline.
Regulated Industries: Healthcare and Government
- Own the enterprise marketing approach for healthcare and public-sector buyers, where long cycles, compliance requirements, and buying committees shape everything.
- Build account-based programs for healthcare systems and government agencies using intent data and buying signals.
- Support federal campaigns alongside product marketing and the gov sales team: content syndication, event execution, targeted account lists, and partner-led plays (such as Carahsoft).
- Develop messaging and programs that speak to the real concerns of regulated buyers, like security, compliance, procurement paths, and contract vehicles.
Account-Based Execution and Sales Partnership
- Build account-based programs that reach full buying committees, including expansion into new teams inside existing accounts.
- Partner with enterprise AMs, AEs, and BDRs through structured cadences on targeting, messaging, and pipeline reviews.
Measurement & Iteration
- Use AI to scale what works.
- Measure everything: pipeline created, influenced, and accelerated, with clear attribution across new business, expansion, and partner-sourced.
- If something isn't working, whether a channel, an event, or a partner, you say so and change course. No sunk-cost loyalty.
💪 YOUR SUPERPOWERS
- Pipeline-obsessed marketer: 4–6 years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with at least 1–2 years targeting enterprise buyers (5,000+ employees). You've driven measurable pipeline and revenue, not just lead volume.
- Partner builder: You've made partnerships produce pipeline, not just co-branded content. You know how to get a partner's sellers to care about your accounts.
- Field event operator: You've planned and executed events that turned into meetings and opportunities, and you know how to get sales and partners in the room.
- Buying-committee thinker: You're fluent in intent data, buying signals, and account engagement, and you use them to decide where to focus.
- Sales trust-builder: You win as a team with sales, through in-the-weeds collaboration and shared accountability.
- Ruthless about scope: You orient around what gets results and can stay focused on a few partners and programs without losing sight of the goal.
- "I can figure this out" mindset toward tools: UserGems, Influ2, ReachDesk, HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Claude. Bonus points if you've used some, but curiosity matters more than a checklist.
- Active AI practitioner: You're already applying AI anywhere and everywhere.
🎁 BONUS POINTS
- Experience marketing to healthcare, government, or other regulated or public-sector buyers.
- Experience with hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), co-sell, or global systems-integrator partnerships (Deloitte-style) where you made the relationship produce pipeline.
- Experience with government channel partners or reseller/contract vehicle models (Carahsoft-style).
- Familiarity with compliance and procurement considerations in healthcare or federal sales.
- Experience in learning, HR tech, or skills-focused technology.
