Who we are Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk. Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders, including Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, OpenAI, Snap Inc., and Snowflake. Chainguard is venture-backed by leading investors, including Amplify, IVP, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mantis VC, Redpoint Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Spark Capital. Include the term "DiscoTech" on the resume The role, in a nutshell Chainguard Containers is our core product, and this team builds it. As Principal Software Engineer in Container Product Engineering you will be the most senior individual contributor on a team of about fifteen engineers, setting the technical direction for the product and leading its largest, most consequential projects from idea to customer. Chainguard is growing explosively. Every line of code is now written with AI in the loop, which means the foundation it runs on has to be secure by default. You will shape that foundation: the hardened container images, the registry that serves them, and the tooling that lets engineers and AI agents adopt them. This is a technical leadership role, not a management role. You will work directly with engineering and product leaders to form the roadmap, then lead engineers across sub-teams to execute it. You will stay hands-on: you write and review code every week, and the hardest problems land on your desk first. What the team owns Product features for Chainguard Containers. Letting customers push their own images to our registry, Custom Assembly (customers compose images from our hardened packages), Helm charts, notifications, and compliance views such as STIG dashboards (STIG is the US government's hardening standard). The image build pipeline. The systems that turn packages from Wolfi, our Linux distribution, into signed and attested container images at scale, including moving image builds onto our own runner infrastructure. Registry performance and distribution. Work such as lazy loading, so a container starts before its whole image has downloaded, and image signing with Sigstore. Adoption tooling for engineers and AI agents. Migration tools that convert existing Dockerfiles to Chainguard Containers, and MCP servers (Model Context Protocol, the standard that lets AI agents call tools) so agents can discover and pull our images directly. What you'll do Set the technical direction for Chainguard Containers: the architecture of the build pipeline, the registry, and the adoption tooling over the next one to three years, written down and defended in the open. Form the roadmap with engineering and product leaders, then execute it. Turn ambiguous business goals into sequenced, staffed technical plans, and own the delivery of the largest multi-team projects from concept through production and adoption. Make and own the trade-offs that shape the product: build versus buy, when to re-platform and when not to, what to cut to hit a date. Write the decision down and bring dissenting engineers along. Lead through other engineers. Set the design bar, review the designs and code that matter most, and grow the Staff and Senior engineers around you into the next generation of technical leaders. Work with AI coding agents as part of how you build, review, and operate, and set the standard for how the whole team uses them safely as volume grows. Follow a problem wherever it goes: another team's service, a customer escalation, a support ticket, or go-to-market data, and work across team and company boundaries to get ahead of planning cycles. Represent Chainguard in the container and open source ecosystem: upstream work, standards conversations, talks, and the customer conversations where credibility is the product. Keep the systems you own healthy: observability, on-call, and the structural fixes that stop whole classes of incidents. What we're looking for 10+ years building and operating software that paying customers use, including several years as the technical lead of large, multi-team projects at a startup or a company in hyper-growth. Closely relevant experience in what we do: container images, container registries and the OCI image format (Open Container Initiative, the standard for container images and registries), Linux distributions or package management, build systems, or software supply chain security. Known in the field. Your work is visible outside your employer: open source you maintain, standards you helped shape, talks or writing that other engineers cite, or systems the industry knows you built. A track record of technical leadership without authority: you have set direction for a team you did not manage, and the team delivered. Experience forming and executing roadmaps with engineering and product leaders, including saying no, re-sequencing, and holding a date. Judgment on trade-offs at the product level. You have made calls that moved a company's roadmap, and you can show what you gave up and why. A systems thinker who designs for the whole path, from upstream source through build, signing, distribution, and the customer's runtime, and who sees second-order effects before they land. High agency and urgency. You find a way, you do not wait to be unblocked, and you unblock others. AI-native in how you build and lead. You use agentic coding tools daily and you have changed how a team works because of them. Architectural depth in Go: you can design a Go service from scratch, plus strong API design, databases and caching, and cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS. Low ego. You do what you say and say what you do, and you communicate early when the news is bad. Excellent written English and experience leading on a distributed, remote-first team. Nice to haves Deep software supply chain security background: SBOMs (software bill of materials), Sigstore signing, or SLSA (Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts, a framework for build integrity). Maintainer of, or significant contributor to, Chainguard's open-source tools (Wolfi, apko, melange) or neighboring projects such as containerd, Kubernetes, or OCI specifications. Experience taking a product from early customers to broad adoption. Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience. A non-traditional path into engineering. Location: San Francisco; London; Seattle; New York City; Toronto ABOUT THE ROLE The Enterprise Trust & Governance team builds the control plane that lets the world’s largest organizations deploy Perplexity broadly and with confidence. Computer and our agents work across a growing share of our customers’ environments, tools, and models. For administrators, that makes precise, enforceable control essential: who can do what, with which data, through which agents, and within what usage limits. This team makes those controls easy to manage, reliable and consistent across every product, and transparent to the people accountable for them. This is a product and platform engineering role with end-to-end ownership, from shaping the architecture and policy models to shipping the experiences our customers’ administrators and security teams use every day. You’ll work across product and infrastructure teams to turn complex enterprise requirements into reusable primitives and intuitive controls. The scope spans identity and provisioning, fine-grained role-based access across connectors, tool actions, and models, customer-managed encryption keys, admin APIs, audit logs, and policy and usage controls. Strong governance helps enterprises move from pilots to company-wide rollouts and gives them the confidence to entrust agents with greater responsibility over time. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Own enterprise identity and provisioning, including SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM, WorkOS integrations, and support for identity providers such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. - Build the permissions platform, with fine-grained roles and permissions for connectors, tool actions, models, and model effort levels, enforced consistently across products and agent workflows. - Design and ship secure, well-documented admin APIs for audit logs, members, groups, roles, and settings. - Build policy controls for model and feature availability, staged rollouts, model deprecations, usage and spend limits, alerts, and cost-center allocation. - Build admin-facing analytics for adoption, usage, spend, and policy enforcement, helping organizations measure value and manage their deployments. - Deliver audit logs and change notifications that help administrators investigate activity, track configuration changes, and support compliance. - Set the technical bar for authorization correctness and reliability, with fast, consistent, explainable permission checks, well-defined failure behavior, and strong tenant isolation. - Partner with Product, Design, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to translate complex enterprise requirements into reusable platform capabilities and intuitive admin experiences. QUALIFICATIONS - 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex backend systems from design through production operation. - Strong system design skills, including building reliable, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platforms with clear security and isolation boundaries. - Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes. - Deep expertise in at least one of the following: - Enterprise identity and provisioning, including OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM. - Permissions platforms, fine-grained authorization, and policy enforcement. - Encryption, customer-managed keys, and key lifecycle management. - Enterprise admin platforms, audit infrastructure, or usage and spend analytics. - Experience building or integrating enterprise identity and access systems, including platforms such as WorkOS, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID. - Sound technical judgment in security-sensitive systems, balancing threat models, authorization correctness, and failure behavior with usability and delivery speed. - A track record of leading ambiguous, cross-team initiatives from architecture through adoption, setting technical direction for shared platforms, and raising engineering quality through mentorship. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification. We value demonstrated impact, deep ownership, and the initiative to turn ambiguity into results.

Location: Poland; Brazil; Peru; Sweden; Argentina; Romania; Cyprus; Czech Republic; Hungary; Mexico; Chile; Bulgaria Workplace: Remote BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. THE TEAM xStocks brings real-world assets on-chain as tokenized securities that are regulated, fully-backed, and tradable across multiple blockchains. Built within Payward, the xStocks team runs the infrastructure that issues, custodies, and settles these instruments across EVM, Solana, TON, Tron, and more. The platform moves real value, so security is not a feature bolted on at the end. It is a property of everything the team ships. This is a hybrid engineering and security seat built for someone who is genuinely both: you ship products alongside the engineering team when the security queue is quiet, and you own security work end to end when it lands. You report into engineering and partner closely with the Payward security, CISO, and compliance functions. THE OPPORTUNITY - Own security deliverables end to end. Coordinate and review smart-contract audits, respond to security questionnaires and due-diligence requests, support CISO and compliance initiatives, and turn findings into tracked, closed-out fixes. - Run offensive assessments against our own platforms. Pentest the web apps, APIs, backend services, and on-chain components, and build the tooling to do it repeatedly rather than once. - Continuously assess posture. Threat-model new and existing systems, review architecture and key-management flows, and maintain a living view of the risks and their mitigations. - Review code for security. Be a default reviewer on changes touching auth, cryptography, custody, signing, and fund movement across our chains. - Harden the platform. Improve secrets handling, IAM and least-privilege, dependency and supply-chain hygiene, and detection and logging for security-relevant events. - Secure custody and signing workflows. Review and harden transaction signing flows, MPC and HSM integrations, signer permissions, admin roles, approval policies, and break-glass procedures. - Contribute to product engineering. Pick up regular backlog work in TypeScript so you stay close to the codebase you are defending. - Support incidents. Help with detection, triage, response, and post-mortems, and feed the lessons back into the program. WHAT YOU BRING - An engineer first. You write and review production code comfortably, TypeScript and Node.js in our stack, and you understand systems deeply enough to break them. - Strong application and infrastructure security fundamentals. The OWASP-class vulnerability landscape, authn and authz, injection, SSRF, supply-chain risk, and secure design. You have done real offensive work in pentesting, vuln research, or red-team. - Applied cryptography and blockchain security. Symmetric and asymmetric primitives, hashing, signatures, and key management, plus the security model of EVM, Solana, and ideally TON or Tron. You can read a smart contract and reason about how it fails. - Ownership. You can take an ambiguous security item, an audit, a questionnaire, or an incident, and drive it to closure without being managed through it. - Clear communication. You can explain a risk to engineers, to a CISO, and to an auditor, and tailor the message to each. - An automation instinct. You do not want to catch the same issue manually twice, so you turn findings into tests, alerts, controls, documentation, or platform improvements. - Risk judgment. You can tell a theoretical issue from a material one, and communicate severity, likelihood, impact, and remediation tradeoffs clearly. NICE TO HAVE - Experience commissioning or remediating third-party smart-contract audits. - Familiarity with custody and signing infrastructure such as HSMs, MPC, and ForDefi-style providers, and with on-chain transaction security. - Cloud security depth in GCP or AWS, IAM, and container and runtime hardening. - Detection engineering and security observability, including SIEM and log-based detections. - Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, or GWAPT. - Prior work in a regulated fintech or tokenization/DeFi environment. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision. As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password. If you require an accommodation, please speak to your talent acquisition partner or email us at nextbit@agilebits.com and we’ll work to meet your needs. Remote work is a part of our DNA. Given that our company was founded remotely in 2005, we can safely say we're experts at building remote culture. That said, remote work at 1Password does mean working from your home country. If you've got questions or concerns about this, your talent partner would be happy to address them with you. Successful applicants will be required to complete a background check that may consist of prior employment verification, reference checks, education confirmation, criminal background, publicly available social media, credit history, or other information, as permitted by local law. 1Password uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, including natural language processing and predictive analytics, to assist in the initial screening of employment applications and improve our recruitment process. Location: San Francisco; New York City Workplace: Hybrid In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people now use Perplexity to transform knowledge into action, and a growing share of them meet us first on their phone. The Growth team owns the product loops that help people discover, adopt, and build lasting habits around our most important AI experiences — and on mobile that means owning everything from the App Store listing to the first task a user finishes to the moment they upgrade. As an Android growth engineer at Perplexity, you'll work across the full mobile funnel — install, activation, onboarding, push and lifecycle messaging, conversion, retention, and in-app purchase moments — for Perplexity, Comet, and Computer on Android. Engineers are responsible for end-to-end projects: rebuilding onboarding as a series of experiments, wiring in-app purchase and paywall surfaces to our billing systems, shipping notification experiences people actually keep enabled, and turning ASO and deep-link work into measurable adoption. Growth at Perplexity goes beyond incremental funnel optimization. The team sits close to the core product — we translate behavioral signals, model outputs, and fast experimentation into durable product surfaces used across consumer and enterprise workflows. You'll move fast, run many experiments in parallel, and own the outcome end-to-end, while respecting the constraints mobile brings: release cycles, store review, and version fragmentation. WHY PERPLEXITY IS DIFFERENT - Craftsmanship. We build high quality, tasteful products targeting both the AI native and AI curious. - Ownership. You identify the problem, design the solution and ship it. - Entrepreneurship. We think like founders, act with urgency, and hustle to deliver for each other and our users. - Scholarship. Work among highly talented peers, pursuing knowledge and truth, upleveling ourselves, our teams, and our products. - Partnership. We amplify each others' strengths, break down silos, and give selflessly to help our colleagues deliver excellence. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, build, and own growth surfaces across the mobile funnel — install, activation, onboarding, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments — on Android. - Lead experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis and instrumentation through implementation, analysis, and rollout, shipping many in parallel despite app release cadence. Build the flag-driven and server-driven patterns that let us test without waiting on a store release. - Own in-app purchase and paywall surfaces: billing integrations, subscription and credit purchase flows, entitlement correctness, and pricing and packaging experiments. - Build push and lifecycle notification experiences that earn their opt-in — permission prompts, targeting, timing, deep links back into the right task, and the instrumentation to prove they drive retention rather than churn. - Make cross-platform surfaces feel native. Partner with web and design engineers so onboarding, upsells, and in-task nudges are consistent across web, iOS, and Android - Partner with rest of Growth to optimize app store performance and attribution - Hill-climb on the metrics that matter: install-to-activation, D1/D7/D30 retention, notification opt-in and engagement, paid conversion, and habit formation, instrumented with clean data and trustworthy experiment readouts. - Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Monetization, Marketing, and the core Mobile team to translate behavioral signals into durable product surfaces. QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience shipping consumer apps at meaningful scale on Android. - Strong native skills — Kotlin/Jetpack Compose — and the willingness to flex into other parts of the stack to unblock yourself and others. - Experience owning a full release cycle: build and release tooling, phased rollouts, store review, crash and regression monitoring, and rolling back safely. - Strong execution: you ship many experiments and product improvements in parallel and drive them to a clear outcome. - Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation platforms (Eppo, Statsig, Optimizely, or in-house equivalents) especially inside a versioned app. - Comfort data-informed decision-making — you can pull, segment, and interpret your own funnel data. - Strong product judgment; you translate user behavior and growth opportunities into simple, effective technical solutions. - Self-motivated with strong ownership instincts; you propose experiments, ship features ahead of schedule, and drive improvements without asking for permission. - Genuine interest and adoption of AI products and willingness to learn quickly. NICE TO HAVE - Direct experience on a growth or experimentation-heavy team - Deep experience with in-app payments - Experience with mobile attribution and measurement stacks (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and paid mobile acquisition. - ASO experience, including store listing experiments and localized metadata. - Comfort reaching into the backend or web stack to unblock yourself end-to-end. - Time spent at a fast-growing startup or on a high-ownership engineering team.

Location: San Francisco, California Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT SENTRY Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. ABOUT THE ROLE Sentry helps developers identify and resolve issues in their applications. Behind our products is a complex foundation of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and services that must perform reliably at scale. Our Platform and Infrastructure Engineering teams build and operate the systems that power Sentry. From cloud infrastructure, distributed storage, and real-time event processing to service reliability, scalability, and developer productivity, these teams provide the technical foundation that enables our products and engineering organization to grow. We're looking for Staff Software Engineers to tackle some of Sentry's most challenging infrastructure and distributed systems problems. Depending on your experience and interests, you might work on scaling our real-time event processing systems, improving the reliability and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, or designing and building foundational services that support our products. In this role, you'll have the autonomy to identify important technical problems, lead solutions from design through production, and influence engineering decisions beyond your immediate team. We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems, remain hands-on with the systems they build, and take pride in delivering meaningful technical impact. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL - Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable distributed systems that support Sentry's products and engineering teams. - Own technically complex projects from identifying problems and defining solutions through implementation, deployment, and production operations. - Solve challenging engineering problems involving system architecture, performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. - Make thoughtful architectural decisions, evaluating tradeoffs between performance, complexity, maintainability, and long-term scalability. - Proactively identify technical challenges and opportunities for improvement, including problems without clearly defined requirements or established solutions. - Stay hands-on with engineering, contributing production-quality code, reviewing designs, and helping resolve complex technical issues. - Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders across teams to influence technical direction, establish engineering standards, and drive improvements. - Share technical knowledge, mentor other engineers, and help strengthen engineering practices across the organization. YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU - Enjoy solving difficult technical problems where the solution isn't immediately obvious. - Like designing and building systems that operate reliably at scale. - Thrive on taking ownership of complex engineering challenges, from initial design through production. - Balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership and enjoy influencing decisions without formal authority. - Think critically about architectural tradeoffs and favor pragmatic, maintainable solutions over unnecessary complexity. - Take initiative in identifying important problems rather than waiting for projects to be assigned. - Enjoy collaborating with talented engineers, sharing knowledge, and raising the bar for engineering quality. - Find satisfaction in shipping meaningful improvements and seeing the impact of your work in production. QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in designing, building, and operating distributed systems or infrastructure. - Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, or a comparable language. - Experience designing and implementing technically complex systems, with a track record of delivering meaningful engineering outcomes. - Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Demonstrated ability to independently own complex technical projects, navigate ambiguity, and drive solutions from design through production. - Deep technical experience in one or more of the following areas: - Cloud Infrastructure: Kubernetes, container orchestration, Terraform, infrastructure as code, networking, or service discovery. - Distributed Systems: Distributed architectures, fault tolerance, consistency, replication, or high-availability systems. - Data Infrastructure: Kafka, real-time streaming, distributed storage, OLAP/OLTP databases, or large-scale data processing. - Infrastructure Reliability: Observability, performance optimization, capacity planning, incident response, or production operations. - Developer Infrastructure: CI/CD systems, build and deployment infrastructure, developer environments, or internal developer platforms. - Strong architectural judgment, with the ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and design systems for reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability. - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, collaborate effectively, and influence technical decisions across engineering teams. - Experience improving engineering practices, sharing technical knowledge, or helping other engineers grow. We recognize that strong engineers come from different backgrounds. You don't need experience in every technology or domain listed above. We're interested in candidates who bring meaningful technical depth, strong engineering judgment, and a track record of solving challenging problems. The base salary range that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $240,000 to $400,000, plus an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits https://sentry.io/careers/ for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic.
