NeoCloud BD Pursuit Specialist / Account Executive
Backblaze (Nasdaq: BLZE)
| Reports to the Head of NeoCloud Sales
How We Got Here
We started by building storage servers from scratch in a Palo Alto apartment to save 90% on hardware. Turns out hard constraints make for pretty good engineering. That discipline forged a platform that performs as well or better than competitors, scales to multi-exabyte workloads, and costs a fraction of what AWS or Google charge. AI infrastructure runs on data. Storage gets hard at scale. We've been breaking, rebuilding, and improving that storage layer for 20 years.
Today, the world's leading AI infrastructure providers, neoclouds, and data-intensive businesses run on Backblaze. Our platform includes:
B2 Overdrive
- high-throughput object storage engineered for AI infrastructure, GPU workloads, and massive-scale data pipelines
B2 Neo
- white-label enterprise cloud storage powering neocloud platforms for AI, HPC, and media
B2 Cloud Storage
- S3-compatible object storage with predictable pricing, free egress, and no lock-in
Computer Backup
- automatic, continuous endpoint backup for Macs and PCs
500,000+ customers. 175 countries. Nasdaq: BLZE. backblaze.com
The Role
NeoClouds are GPU-rich, AI-native infrastructure providers, and they need fast, affordable, S3-compatible storage at scale. Backblaze is the high-performance capacity storage layer for AI. You will win these accounts.
This is a new-logo role. You will own a named set of NeoClouds from the top 80 worldwide and pursue them from first meeting to signed contract.
This is not an inbound role. If you want a defined territory and a queue of warm leads, it isn't the right fit. If your instinct is to pick an account, find the engineer who feels the storage cost first, and work up to the CXO, keep reading.
What You Will Do
Pursue named accounts.
Build a pursuit plan for each account. Map the buying group from infrastructure engineers to the CXO, and build relationships across it.
Run discovery.
Learn how each NeoCloud runs its stack, where storage costs and performance limit it, and how Backblaze fits. Work with the Sales Engineer and Field CTO on technical validation and proof-of-concept testing.
Choose the route.
Your motion is Sell-To. Decide with your manager when an account also calls for Sell-With, which Strategic Partnerships runs with the Head of NeoCloud Sales. When a partner such as NVIDIA, Super Micro, Weka, VAST, or AMD helps win the account, bring in Strategic Partnerships.
Shape the deal.
Work with your manager and legal on multi-year commitments, SLAs, and revenue share when Backblaze runs behind a NeoCloud's storage service.
Sell inside Backblaze.
Pull Cloud Operations and Engineering into the integration early. Their time is as scarce as your buyer's, and you will earn it.
Line up executive sponsors.
Secure a Backblaze executive sponsor and a customer executive sponsor on every priority account.
Hand off and expand.
Bring in the strategic account manager in Customer Success as customers go live, and stay in the account as it grows.
Keep the forecast honest.
Maintain accurate pipeline, next steps, and close dates in the CRM.
What We Are Looking For
Infrastructure sales expertise
, with a record of closing complex, multi-year deals in storage, cloud, compute, networking, or data center infrastructure
Technical fluency.
You run most technical conversations with infrastructure engineers and architects about GPU clusters, networking, and storage yourself, and earn their trust. The Sales Engineer owns deeper validation and proofs of concept
Executive presence.
You have built VP, SVP, and CTO relationships and can lead those meetings
Hunter drive.
You open doors in accounts that do not know you yet, and you stay with a long pursuit
Seller of record.
You have carried a quota and closed deals with your name on them
Deal structure experience.
You have negotiated SLA, IP, and revenue-share terms on deals you closed, not just understood them
Team play.
You work well with sales engineers, partner teams, and operations teams to land one account
Also True of the Right Person
Existing relationships with NeoCloud technical or executive leaders
Experience with OEM, ISV, or co-sell motions
Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage, data egress economics, and AI/ML data pipelines
This Is Not the Role for You If
You want a defined territory or an inbound queue rather than named accounts you have to open
You prefer a short sales cycle to a long pursuit
You hand technical questions to someone else and wait for the answer
You want to bring a SaaS motion here unchanged
You work accounts alone rather than with sales engineering, partners, and operations
How We Will Interview
We will ask you to walk us through a pursuit you ran from first meeting to signed contract, including a long one that stalled and how you kept it moving. We will ask how you earned an infrastructure engineer's trust. We will ask for your own view of how you would approach this role. You will hold cross-functional conversations with the Sales Engineer and the Field CTO, because you will pursue accounts with them. And you will go through a panel, so we can see how you work.
At Backblaze, we value being fair and good to our customers, partners, and employees. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values. We are committed to fostering a workforce where all employees feel a sense of belonging regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, socio-economic status, ability, veteran status, and education. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The Role
NeoClouds are GPU-rich, AI-native infrastructure providers, and they need fast, affordable, S3-compatible storage at scale. Backblaze is the high-performance capacity storage layer for AI. We have mapped the top 80 NeoClouds and Frontier Labs worldwide, about 70% in the US and 30% in EMEA, and we already have traction in the US, UK, and France.
You will build and run this segment as its own business inside the CRO organization: your own quota, your own team, and the mandate to decide how Backblaze wins each account. These deals look more like telecom or federal sales than SaaS. Cycles are long, buyers sit at the CXO level, and contracts run three to five years. Often Backblaze sits behind the NeoCloud's own storage service, so the work continues after signature, in SLAs, support, and integration.
This is not a territory to inherit. If your instinct is to wait for a playbook, or to hand the CXO calls to someone more senior, this isn't the right fit. If your instinct is to pick the first five accounts, write the pursuit plan, and take the call yourself, keep reading.
What You Will Own & Build
Own
Logos.
Land and grow five of the Top 25 NeoClouds as meaningful customers, and land 25 more from the rest of the list.
TCV.
Deliver $20M in total contract value across the base. We measure on TCV because these customers sign multi-year commitments.
Expansion.
Grow the existing NeoCloud base outside committed contracts such as CoreWeave.
Pipeline and forecast.
Own both for the whole segment, and carry a named-account number yourself.
Your team.
Hire, onboard, and coach a growing team of BD Pursuit Specialists / AEs. Set the KPIs and ARR-conversion targets they are paid against.
Build
You build this with the Field CTO, Strategic Partnerships, an SE and Cloud Operations beside you, and with your AEs as they join.
Route to market.
Own the Sell-To motion for the segment, with its own plays for each type of NeoCloud. No two NeoClouds behave alike, so you choose the play for each account. Write the pursuit plan for the Top 25 NeoClouds: the order we go after them, the buying group in each, and the play for each.
Sell-With.
This is Strategic Partnerships' motion, and you work it in tandem with them, not underneath them, on OEM and ISV flywheels with partners such as NVIDIA, Super Micro, Weka, VAST, and AMD. When a NeoCloud wants help selling Backblaze storage to its own customers, you and Strategic Partnerships decide together how to staff it.
Deal structure.
Negotiate SLAs, IP, revenue share, and infrastructure-as-a-service terms when Backblaze runs behind a NeoCloud's service.
Internal selling.
Bring our Executives (including the CEO), Cloud Operations and Engineering into each integration, and keep them engaged after signature. This is as much internal selling as external.
Executive sponsorship.
Secure a Backblaze executive sponsor and a customer executive sponsor for every priority account, then run CXO conversations without senior leadership in the room.
Transition.
Take over open NeoCloud opportunities and existing coverage from the current BD owners by the end of Q1. Exceptions are handled case by case.
What We Are Looking For
Infrastructure fluency.
You know or can get fluent in the NeoCloud infrastructure stack: GPU compute, networking, storage, and orchestration. You can spar with our Field CTO on architecture without needing drive-level detail. Storage experience is a plus.
Executive presence.
You have built SVP, CTO, and CXO relationships and can run those meetings alone. You have landed and expanded multi-year committed contracts.
Product depth.
You can work with senior product and development teams at a NeoCloud and hold a strategic conversation, not only a commercial one.
OEM and ISV deal experience.
You have negotiated service integration, SLAs, IP, revenue share, and infrastructure-as-a-service structures. You have done these deals, not watched them.
Seller of record.
You have carried a quota and closed deals with your name on them.
Leadership.
You have led a small, senior, quota-carrying team and still carry a number yourself. A Specialist team in a large organization, esp in early days a plus.
Executive sponsorship.
You win sponsors on both sides of the table.
A Plus (though not essential)
Experience selling to NeoClouds, GPU clouds, hyperscalers, cloud providers, or AI infrastructure companies
Experience building a new segment or coverage model from scratch
Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage, data egress economics, and AI/ML data pipelines
This Is Not the Role for You If
You want to run an established territory rather than build a new segment
You no longer carry a number yourself
You need senior leadership in the room to open or close CXO conversations
You see SLA, IP, and revenue-share terms as legal's problem, not yours
You treat partners and Cloud Operations as a handoff rather than as part of the deal
How We Will Interview
We will ask you to bring a plan on how you'd build the market for NeoCloud, and tell us what you would do differently. We will ask about how you worked on building executive relationships . We will ask for your own view of how you would approach this role. You will hold cross-functional conversations with the Field CTO/ VP of our SE Team and Strategic Partnerships, because you will work beside them every day. And you may go through a panel, so we can see how you work.

About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
ABOUT THE ROLE 💭
We're looking for a frontend-leaning Product Engineer with strong product sense, judgment, and taste to help shape and build Passport https://workos.com/passport. With Passport, accessing your work apps is as simple as unlocking your device, instead of battling one sign-in prompt after another. You’ll build the experiences that make that seamless, while giving administrators clear control over access.
You'll help decide what gets built and carry it through to production. Working directly with customers, you'll turn complex identity and device workflows into clear employee and administrator experiences, with hands-on engineering across the stack.
You’ll work in an AI-native engineering environment, using AI tools to prototype, build, and iterate while maintaining a high bar for product quality and technical correctness.
RESPONSIBILITIES ✔️
- Work directly with customers, solutions engineering, and go-to-market teammates to understand their identity and device setups, identify friction, and prioritize focused improvements.
- Build onboarding and access-management experiences that help employees get started and administrators confidently manage access.
- Own features from implementation through release and iteration, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs that balance maintainability with momentum.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and security engineers to make complex access workflows simple and secure.
- Help shape how AI agents access company tools, working with adjacent product teams to make connections and configuration understandable.
QUALIFICATIONS 🌟
- 5+ years of industry software development experience, including shipping user-facing products.
- Strong frontend engineering: accessible interfaces, well-structured application state, fast interactions, and thoughtful loading, empty, error, and recovery states.
- Full-stack capability: design useful APIs, reason about data models and queries, implement authorization behavior, and debug production issues. Your deepest expertise may be frontend; you can own work across layers and collaborate with specialists when needed.
- Strong product sense and judgment: understand customer needs, identify the right problems, and make thoughtful tradeoffs about priorities, scope, quality, and speed, including knowing what not to build.
- Strong product taste: you shape how a product works, not just how it looks. You can rethink complex workflows, choose sensible defaults, and make the right actions feel obvious.
- Clear communication and independent judgment through ambiguity, with the curiosity to learn unfamiliar systems and collaborate across disciplines.
- Bonus: Identity, authentication, authorization, or enterprise integrations, including SAML, OIDC, or SCIM.
- Bonus: Experience building desktop applications or device-management workflows.
- Bonus: B2B SaaS, developer tools, or employee and administrator products, especially experience building an early-stage product with its first customers.
Benefits and Perks (US Only) 💖
At WorkOS, we offer resources that emphasize personal and familial well-being. We offer healthcare coverage for you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision. We offer parental leave, paid-time off and fully remote working arrangements.
- 401k matching
- Competitive Equity
- Healthcare, dental and vision coverage
- FSA, ST/LT Disability, Voluntary Life
- Carrot fertility benefits
- 20 days paid vacation + 10 holidays + unlimited sick leave
- 12 weeks fully paid parental leave
- Fitness: Monthly stipend for gyms, yoga classes, race registrations or whatever keeps you active
- Wellness: Monthly stipend for a massage, meditations class, therapy, or activities that enhance your well-being
- Commuter benefits for hybrid employees in SF/NYC
- Unlimited token usage!
Please inquire directly with our recruiting team for benefits available to those working outside the US.
Equal Opportunity Employer
WorkOS is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusiveness. We will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, nationality, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability or age.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We’re hiring a Commercial Counsel to be a core member of Sierra’s legal team. We are looking for someone who has deep expertise in commercial contracts, but also someone who is eager to broaden their scope across IP, regulatory, and product. You will thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy tackling challenges beyond your comfort zone, and be excited to contribute across the business. In return, we’ll provide the support and opportunities you need to grow and excel as a lawyer. You’ll be part of a legal team that is highly respected within both the company and the broader legal industry—committed to excellence, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact.
- Commercial Contracting: Structure, negotiate, and advise on all commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements, technology licenses, professional services agreements, channel partner agreements, vendor agreements, and NDAs. Commercial privacy and security contracting experience (e.g., DPAs, BAAs, security agreements) is a plus.
- Operational Excellence: Help build out our commercial function to be best-in-class. We aim to be the fastest and strongest, where the legal team is the differentiator in the contract lifecycle. You will be developing templates, playbooks, and workflows to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of practice areas that underpin the commercial practice, including contract law, IP and privacy. You will also want to work in AI and understand the nuances of law as it relates to AI, including the evolving regulatory frameworks. You will be expected to advise broadly on all contractual issues and be comfortable doing so.
- Teamwork: A team player first and foremost. Sierra is a unique place to work, with a strong sense of togetherness, and the legal team is no exception. You will look out for your colleagues and be accustomed to sharing and helping the team succeed.
- Judgment: Understand risk in the context of a hyperscaling business, have sound judgment, and be strategic in your decision-making. You will not be afraid to make judgment calls, and you will be empowered to do so.
- Approach: A strong work ethic with an eye for detail. You will strive for perfection and expect that of others.
- Collaborate: Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Agent Development teams to support revenue growth and strategic business initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 2-6 years of legal experience, with a combination of both large law firm and in-house experience at a tech company.
- A strong background in negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, preferably in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to partner with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
EVEN BETTER…
- Experience of privacy/regulatory frameworks and can advise on data processing agreements and security-related contract provisions.
- Non-English languages, especially Spanish, German and French.
- A passion for AI, with a deep understanding of AI products, LLMs and the related legal issues.
- Law firm experience at a top-tier, internationally recognized law firm.
- Experience working at a high-growth startup and operating with a sense of ownership.
- Industry specific knowledge in any of the following: Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecoms, Insurance and/or Consumer.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
WHAT WE OFFER
We want our benefits to reflect our values and offer the following to full-time employees:
- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave
- Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot
- Lunch, as well as delicious snacks and coffee to keep you energized
- Discretionary benefit stipend giving people the ability to spend where it matters most
- Free alphorn lessons
These benefits are further detailed in Sierra's policies, may vary by region, and are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefits plans. Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. - Keep international employee data accurate in Rippling and Deel, and support audits and reporting
What we're looking for
- Must be located in the Austin metro area
- 5+ years of HRBP experience, including employee relations, with meaningful UK and/or international exposure

- Hands-on experience with Rippling and/or Deel
- Comfort working independently across time zones, with early UK-hours overlap and occasional UK travel

- Extremely collaborative, working closely with a US- and London-based team
Bonus tacos if you have
(Tacos? Ask us how we say thanks by giving tacos!)

ClickHouse has a lot worth saying. The database has become a platform for real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. Many of the most interesting AI and software companies of the last few years run on it. Our founders and leaders hold clear, well-formed views on where data and AI are heading. And every week the customer base produces proof points most companies would build a campaign around. What we have not yet built is the function whose job it is to turn all of that into one story the market hears consistently, and from us.
We are looking for a Head of Story & Communications to build that function from the ground up. You'll own the company narrative: what ClickHouse should be known for, how the platform story gets told above the level of features, and how the proof we generate adds up to a thesis. And you'll build the machine that carries it into the world: the announcement calendar, press and media relationships across technology and business media, and executive platforms for our founders and leaders. This is a build role and a player-coach role. You won't inherit a team; you'll hire one as the function grows, directing our agency partners in the meantime and staying in the work yourself. You'll report to the VP of Global Marketing and work closely with the executive team, product marketing, and the people closest to our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Define what ClickHouse should be known for and turn it into a rolling narrative and communications strategy that the marketing and executive teams work from
- Build the communications machine: announcement calendar and tiering, press materials, holding statements, a reporter cadence, and launch amplification, directing agency partners and holding them to outcomes
- Own press and media relations across technology and business media, taking the ClickHouse story beyond the tech press and re-educating the market on the full platform
- Build executive platforms for our founders and leaders: the themes each owns, the moments and formats worth their time, and a clear way to evaluate inbound podcast, mainstage, and sponsored event opportunities
- Shape quarterly release moments and major launches so they earn attention and show up consistently across press, social, community, and the field
- Set the standard for how ClickHouse sounds in public: voice, quality bar, and the discipline that every published claim, number, and proof point is approved, current, and consistent
- Hire and lead the team as the function grows, and build the planning and review rhythm that keeps narrative, communications, and social aligned
What You Bring Along
- Experience building or rebuilding a communications function at a growth-stage infrastructure, developer, or data company
- A record of landing stories in tier-one business media as well as technology press, with the relationships and news judgment to do it again
- Experience working directly with a CEO and executive team: shaping their points of view, preparing them, and declining opportunities not worth their time
- Media-company operator instincts: you think in themes, arcs, and audiences
- Player-coach approach: you write and edit yourself, give useful feedback, and set the bar by example
- Comfort with a technical product and a technical audience, including credibility with engineers and developers
- Experience directing agencies to outcomes, with judgment about what belongs in-house
- Analytical grounding: you track what is landing, form a view on why, and use it to decide where to focus
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.
- Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries.

At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.
WHOOP is hiring a Embedded Engineering Manager to build and lead a new embedded team for a next-generation wearable. The team owns the firmware that members interact with directly on the device: how it responds to them, how it presents their data, and how it feels to use every day. It takes that firmware from early prototypes through new product introduction and into production.
This role combines technical leadership with people management. You will lead a team of full-time and contract firmware engineers and grow it as the program scales. You will take part in architecture decisions with the program's technical leads, review the team's code, and own its delivery schedule. You won't be the team's primary developer, but you will be close enough to the code to step in when it helps. You will work closely with Product, Design, Hardware, and Quality, and with the firmware teams building sensors, connectivity, and power on the same device.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of embedded engineers through hiring, onboarding, feedback, performance management, and career development.
- Direct the work of contract engineers alongside full-time staff, holding both to the same design and code quality bar.
- Lead the team's delivery of the member's on-device experience firmware, from prototype through production release.
- Partner with the program's technical lead and senior engineers on architecture for responsive, power-efficient firmware on resource-constrained multi-core hardware.
- Serve as a player-coach who reviews code and shapes designs, contributing directly when the team needs it.
- Own the team's planning and delivery cadence, keeping scope, dependencies, and risk visible to partners and leadership.
- Partner with Product and Design to turn member experience goals into firmware requirements that fit the hardware's memory, compute, and power budgets.
- Set engineering practices for testing, hardware-in-the-loop validation, release readiness, and field diagnostics.
- Foster a culture of high standards, direct feedback, accountability, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of embedded firmware development in C or C++, including experience as an engineering manager or team lead responsible for mentorship, feedback, and career development.
- Experience shipping firmware in a consumer electronics product, from early hardware bring-up through production.
- Hands-on experience with an RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or similar) on microcontrollers or embedded SoCs.
- Experience optimizing firmware for performance, memory, and power on constrained hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver in ambiguous environments, including early-stage hardware programs where requirements are still forming.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to Product, Design, and leadership.
- Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work meets the same quality bar as personal contributions.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! At WHOOP, we believe there is much more to a candidate than what is written on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.
WHOOP is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-verify https://www.e-verify.gov/ to determine employment eligibility. It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.
The WHOOP compensation philosophy is designed to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional talent by offering competitive base salaries, meaningful equity, and consistent pay practices that reflect our mission and core values.
At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$215,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

POWER A WORLD OF TRUST
Incode is the leading provider of world-class identity solutions that is reinventing the way humans authenticate and verify their identities online to power a world of digital trust.
Through our revolutionary identity solutions, we are unleashing the business potential of universal industries including finance, government, retail, hospitality, gaming, and more, by reducing fraud and transforming human interactions with data, products, and services.
We’re in the process of rapidly scaling our diverse global team and we’re looking for entrepreneurial individuals and leaders who are curious, driven, and excited by ownership to join a Unicorn-status scale-up!
About Incode
Incode is a Series B unicorn ($2 B valuation) rewriting how the world proves identity. Our AI-powered platform lets leading banks, fintechs, marketplaces, and governments deliver friction-free experiences while defeating fraud and safeguarding privacy. Customers such as Citi, AirBnB, Block, Chime, Sixt, and TikTok rely on Incode to power their identity verification and security. Recently named a leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Identity Verification, we’re scaling fast.
The Impact You’ll Make
Growth at Incode owns the top of funnel - the pipeline that feeds every region's revenue number. This role exists to build the systems that generate it.
You'll ship AI agents, automations, and workflows across the full top-of-funnel surface: outbound, inbound, lead qualification and routing, event and conference motions, account and competitive research. The work is grounded in live Salesforce, Supabase, and Outreach data and supports revenue teams across NAM, LATAM, and EMEA. The Growth AI Office - our multi-agent GTM operating system - is where it lives, and a fleet of these agents is already in daily production use.
Today that fleet is built and maintained by a single engineer. You are the second builder.
You'll design and ship new agents, harden the ones already running, and own the integration layer that connects them to the systems revenue actually runs on. This is not an internal-tools ticket queue and it is not research. It is applied engineering where the output is measured in qualified pipeline, meetings held, and hours returned to a 24-person revenue team.
A note on the title:
"Growth Engineer" means different things at different companies. Here it does not mean product-led growth or experimentation infrastructure - Incode sells to banks, fintechs, marketplaces, and governments, and there is no self-serve funnel to optimize. It means engineering applied to pipeline generation. You will write and deploy production Python and Node services, stand up MCP servers, and own your own CI/CD - not configure a no-code platform. If your strongest work is A/B test infrastructure and activation metrics, or enrichment waterfalls inside a vendor UI, this is the wrong role. If you are an engineer who chose revenue systems as your problem space, keep reading.
What You’ll Own & Drive
Top-of-Funnel Agent Development
- Design, build, and ship production LLM agents that generate and qualify pipeline: scoped skills, explicit guardrails, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and clean multi-agent handoffs. Take agents from concept to daily use by non-technical operators across outbound, inbound, and event motions.
MCP & Integration Infrastructure
- Build and operate the Model Context Protocol servers and clients that connect agents to Salesforce, Outreach, Supabase, ZoomInfo, Notion, and Slack. Own authentication, token scoping, pagination, rate limiting, and graceful failure - including for systems with no native integration path.
Grounding & Evaluation
- Keep agent output tied to real records, not plausible-sounding invention. Build schema-aware retrieval, reconciliation checks, eval harnesses, and regression tests so a prompt change never silently degrades a production agent.
Workflow & Decision Automation
- Implement routing, scoring, and trigger logic across automation platforms (n8n, Tines-class) and custom services: webhooks, scheduled jobs, event-driven pipelines.
Internal Tooling & Reporting
- Build the web apps, dashboards, and interactive reporting that put agent output in front of BDRs and leadership in a form they'll actually use.
Documentation & Durability
- Write the runbooks, skill specifications, and architecture docs that make the agent fleet maintainable by more than one person. Enable GTM operators to extend what you build without filing a ticket.
The Qualities That Set You Apart
Agent-Native Builder
- You've shipped LLM-powered systems that real people depend on, and you know the difference between a demo and something that survives contact with messy production data.
Integration Instinct
- You default to connecting systems rather than replacing them, and you're comfortable building the middleware that vendors didn't.
Evaluation Discipline
- You treat prompts and agent skills as code: versioned, tested, measured. You can tell someone whether a change made an agent better, with evidence.
Data Integrity First
- Before you automate on top of a number, you check whether the number is trustworthy. You've been burned by a bad join and you don't intend to be again.
GTM Fluency
- You can read a pipeline report, hold a conversation about conversion rates, and design for how a seller actually behaves rather than how the org chart says they should.
Ownership Under Ambiguity
- You scope your own work from a business problem, ship something usable fast, and iterate. You operate like a founder with a unicorn's resources behind you.
Handoff Mindset
- You write so that the next person can run it. You measure success partly by how little you're needed for maintenance.
Your Background
Engineering foundation
4+ years professional software engineering
1+ year building and shipping LLM-powered applications or agents to production - used daily by people who are not engineers
Strong Python and Node.js/TypeScript in production; React sufficient to build internal UI end to end
At least one internal application you built start to finish: data model, backend, interface, auth, deployment, and the maintenance afterward
CRM and revenue systems - required
Hands-on experience with both Salesforce and HubSpot. We run both, and this role writes against both. We are not asking for admin certification - we are asking for working fluency: standard and custom objects, field-level behavior and validation, record ownership and sharing, REST and bulk APIs, and a clear sense of what breaks downstream when you change something upstream
Sales engagement platform experience - Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo: sequence and step models, prospect and mailing data structures, and API access patterns
A realistic view of how revenue data degrades in practice: duplicates, stale ownership, unenforced picklists, half-migrated fields - and what that means for anything automated on top of it
Bonus: enrichment and contact data providers (ZoomInfo, Clay, Lusha-class) at the API level rather than the UI level
Databases and data work
Production experience with Postgres or Supabase: schema design, migrations, indexing, query tuning, row-level security
SQL fluency against a warehouse - Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery-class - including window functions and incremental models
You have reconciled the same metric across two systems, found the delta, and explained it to a non-technical stakeholder
Automation, end to end
You have designed, built, deployed, monitored, and maintained automations in production - not just built them. You own the alerting and the failure modes for your own work
Webhooks, queues, scheduled jobs, retries, idempotency, and backfills. You have debugged a job that silently stopped firing
Automation platform experience (n8n, Tines, Zapier-class) and the judgment to know when to abandon the platform and write the service instead. We care more about the second half of that sentence
Routing, scoring, and decision logic implemented as code with test coverage, not as a chain of conditional blocks nobody can read
AI and agents
Hands-on with MCP - servers, clients, custom endpoints - or an equivalent tool-calling and agent framework
Production LLM API integration (Anthropic-class): structured output, tool definitions, context management, cost and latency tradeoffs
Prompt and skill design treated as versioned artifacts, with some method for evaluating whether a change helped
Deployment, integration, and security
Cloud deployment ownership: AWS, containerized hosting, CI/CD (GitHub Actions); Terraform or another IaC tool a plus
OAuth flows, token lifecycle and refresh, credential vaults, header auth, and least-privilege scope review on the integrations you build
Nice to have
Experience supporting a multi-region revenue team (NAM, LATAM, EMEA) and the data-residency questions that come with it
Event and conference lead-capture tooling
Notion and Slack API work
Experience enabling non-technical teams on AI tooling - documentation, training, internal adoption
The Work You've Done Before
Come ready to walk us through two or three things you have built. The strongest candidates we have seen have shipped work like:
An internal application a non-technical team now uses every day, where you owned it from data model to deployment
A two-way integration between two systems that had no native connector, including how you handled auth, rate limits, and partial failure
An agent or automation that replaced a recurring manual process, with a before-and-after number attached to it
A data reconciliation between a CRM and a warehouse where the two disagreed and you determined which one was right
Something you built, documented, and handed off - that someone else now runs without you
We care more about what you shipped and what broke than about which tools were on the sticker. If your strongest work used a stack we did not list, tell us about it anyway.

How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• Experience in developer marketing, technical social media, community growth, or developer relations.
• A track record of growing a developer or technical audience, with a clear understanding of your contribution and results.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to turn technical ideas into clear, engaging content.
• Technical fluency, including the ability to follow developer documentation, try tools or integrations, and collaborate comfortably with engineers.
• Experience coordinating creator partnerships or marketing campaigns involving multiple contributors, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Preferred: Experience marketing developer tools, security products, infrastructure, or artificial intelligence (AI) tools; an existing network of developer creators and community builders; or experience with employee advocacy, paid social experiments, or campaign attribution.
What you can expect:
• Grow 1Password’s developer audience through campaigns and ongoing engagement across X, Reddit, and other relevant channels.
• Create posts, threads, and short-form content about developer workflows, product capabilities, security, and AI agents, partnering with engineers and developer advocates to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and build relationships with technical creators, coordinate campaign briefs and deliverables, manage approved budgets, and track performance.
• Support product launches with creator partnerships and social content that help developers understand new capabilities and get started.
• Build an employee ambassador program that helps engineers share technical insights, projects, and lessons learned in their own voices.
• Participate in developer communities by contributing useful answers, identifying relevant conversations, and bringing developer feedback back to the team.
• Amplify developer events, experiment with new formats and messaging, and use engagement, qualified traffic, and attributable signups to improve the program and connect campaigns to product adoption.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
