BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
The Dev Platform team builds the internal platform that Kraken's engineers use to build, ship and run software. Within Dev Platform, the AI Gateway is Kraken's company-wide LLM gateway: a single, governed entry point that gives teams self-service access to leading models from providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, with visibility into usage and cost, configurable budgets and rate limits, and routing across models and providers for efficiency and resilience.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own the reliability, availability and performance of the AI Gateway as a production-critical service used across the company, including SLOs, error budgets and on-call practices
- Design the gateway's resilience: multi-provider routing, failover, retries, rate limiting and graceful degradation when an upstream model provider is slow or unavailable
- Set the technical direction for gateway architecture, capacity planning and scaling as LLM traffic grows and more workloads move onto the gateway
- Build observability for LLM traffic, covering latency, errors, token usage and cost, attributed by team and use case
- Partner with Security, Finance and AI governance stakeholders to put access controls, budgets, audit logging and data-handling requirements into the platform
- Lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews, and turn what you learn into lasting reliability improvements
- Automate operations through infrastructure as code, safe deployments and progressive rollouts
- Mentor engineers and raise the operating standard across Dev Platform
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HODL
- Extensive experience in site reliability, infrastructure or platform engineering, with a track record of owning high-traffic, business-critical services in production
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, a major cloud provider and infrastructure as code (for example Terraform)
- Strong command of SLOs, observability and incident management, and the judgment to know which reliability work matters most
- Proficiency in a language such as Rust or Python, and comfort reading and contributing to a production service's codebase
- Experience with API gateways, reverse proxies or traffic management: load balancing, rate limiting, failover and caching
- Experience with Consul and Vault for service discovery, configuration and secrets management
- Working knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms for internal platforms and APIs, such as OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, mTLS and API keys, and how to apply them to a multi-tenant service
- Experience with model evaluations: building or operating eval pipelines to compare models, prompts and agents, and to catch quality regressions before and after rollout
- Familiarity with coding agents and agent harnesses (for example OpenHands, Claude Code or similar), including running them safely in sandboxed environments for engineering teams
- Experience with agent memory systems and the databases behind them (vector stores, search, relational and key-value stores), and operating them reliably
- Staff-level influence: you set direction across teams, write clear design documents and bring others with you
- Good judgment balancing reliability, cost and developer velocity for internal customers
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience operating LLM gateways or integrating LLM provider APIs at scale (streaming, token-based rate limiting, model routing, caching)
- Experience hosting and serving models yourself, including vLLM, and running distributed inference or training workloads with Ray (GPU scheduling, batching, autoscaling, cost per token)
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining Kubernetes controllers and operators (for example with controller-runtime or kubebuilder), including CRDs, reconciliation loops and safe upgrades
- Experience with cost attribution, budgeting or FinOps for usage-based services
- Background in security-sensitive or regulated environments such as financial services or crypto
- Contributions to open-source gateway, proxy or observability projects
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. THE OPPORTUNITY
- Build and extend the AI Gateway: new model and provider integrations, routing policies, budgets, rate limits, and usage and cost reporting
- Design the APIs, SDKs and self-service tooling that let engineers across Kraken onboard to the gateway quickly and safely
- Help teams migrate their LLM workloads onto the gateway with minimal disruption
- Implement access control, key management and audit logging in partnership with Security

- Support internal users with clear documentation, debugging help and a tight feedback loop that shapes the roadmap
- Contribute to code review, design documents and engineering practices across Dev Platform
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HODL
- Solid experience as a backend or platform software engineer building and operating APIs and distributed services in production
- Strong skills in a backend language such as Rust, Python or TypeScript, with a habit of writing well-tested, maintainable code
- Working knowledge of how LLM APIs behave: authentication, streaming responses, token accounting, rate limits and provider failure modes
- Experience with observability, CI/CD and containers, and comfort with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider
- Ability to design clean, well-documented APIs for internal customers and to weigh their feedback
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the ownership to carry work from idea to production
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with API gateways, proxies or traffic management
- Experience building LLM-powered systems, including routing, caching, evaluation or cost controls
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth, OIDC, RBAC)
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure or developer-platform projects

At Adapty, we make it easy for mobile apps to manage in-app purchases and paywalls. We power 20K+ apps, process $3B+ in subscriptions every year, and have been growing fast for the last four years. Our mission is simple: make apps rich.
We are a team of 210+ passionate, product-driven people who love solving big challenges. Backed by top investors like 500 Startups and Surface Ventures, we are building one of mobile's fastest-growing SaaS companies and aiming for number one worldwide.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
In 2025 we doubled, from 95 to 200 people. Today we hire fewer roles, but more senior ones, and every single hire moves the needle. We have built a hiring system we believe in: a clear profile for every role, structured interviews, real-life cases and culture fit assessment on every final. Now we need recruiters who make it run every day, go out and find people who raise the bar, and close them fast.
You will own a portfolio of roles across Adapty, from engineering and product to marketing and sales, working directly with hiring managers and founders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own your vacancies end to end: from intake with the hiring manager to an accepted offer. Every search starts with a clear profile and ends with the right hire.
- Hire the best people, fast. Run a tight process and keep Time to Offer low without lowering the bar.
- Proactively bring top talent to Adapty. Map the market, run direct outreach and build pipelines instead of waiting for inbound.
- Partner with hiring managers and drive alignment. Challenge the brief when it's wrong, keep feedback loops short, and push back when the data says so.
- Run structured interviews and assess candidates against our values and the role's competencies.
- Keep ATS clean and data-driven: scorecards, rejection reasons and pipeline updates.
- Help improve how we hire: share what works, fix what doesn't, and make the process faster and better.
ABOUT YOU
- You have 3+ years of full-cycle in-house recruiting, ideally at a fast-growing tech or SaaS company.
- You have closed Senior and Lead roles through direct sourcing, not only inbound or agencies.
- You think in numbers: hires, Time to Offer, funnel conversion and trial retention. You know your own and can explain what you did to move them.
- You are a strong stakeholder partner. You can run an intake, challenge a hiring manager and drive alignment.
- You move fast and own your results. When a role gets stuck, you are the first to know and you come with a plan.
- You write and speak fluent English and Russian.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience hiring for mobile, app economy, fintech or dev tools.
- Hands-on experience with Ashby or another modern ATS, and with AI tools for sourcing and screening.
- Experience hiring across Europe and other remote markets.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- Strong product with industry-best metrics. Adapty is among the top 5% fastest-growing SaaS companies.
- Exceptional compensation directly tied to your results.
- Direct communication and ownership. No bureaucracy, no politics, just impact.
- Flexible remote work. Join us from anywhere or work onsite in our Belgrade or London offices.
- Professional support. Language learning, sports, health insurance, laptop coverage, and more.

We are looking for an Engineering Director to own the technology platform behind the GoMining ecosystem.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep engineering expertise with strong product and business thinking.
You will own the Platform end-to-end — technology strategy, architecture, engineering organization, roadmap, reliability, delivery, and its impact on the wider business.
The Platform powers multiple GoMining products and includes core application infrastructure, authentication and authorization, integrations, shared services, analytics infrastructure, user restrictions, native applications, reliability, and other foundational capabilities.
This is not a role where success is measured simply by uptime, delivery, or engineering output.
We expect the Engineering Director to understand where technology creates or limits business value, make trade-offs between long-term architecture and immediate commercial priorities, and build a platform that allows the entire company to move faster.
Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Architecture
Own the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the GoMining Platform.
Build scalable shared infrastructure used across multiple products and engineering teams.
Define which capabilities should be centralized at Platform level and which should remain within individual product teams.
Drive major architectural and technical decisions.
Identify scalability and architectural bottlenecks before they become business-critical.
Balance long-term platform investments with immediate product and commercial priorities.
Reliability & Engineering Excellence
Own platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, and operational performance.
Define and improve SLAs, DORA metrics, engineering performance, and incident-management practices.
Improve release stability, engineering velocity, and system resilience.
Lead post-incident improvements and eliminate systemic reliability issues.
Maintain a high engineering bar without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Core Platform Capabilities
Own shared authentication, authorization, registration, and 2FA infrastructure.
Develop common account controls, user restrictions, and security mechanisms.
Own integrations and shared backend capabilities required across GoMining products.
Develop shared analytics and event infrastructure.
Support common infrastructure across web and native applications.
Partner with Product, Design, Security, and engineering teams on cross-company capabilities.
Product & Business Impact
Platform at GoMining is not an isolated infrastructure function.
You will work directly with product leaders, General Managers, and C-level stakeholders to understand where technology can unlock growth and where platform limitations are holding the business back.
Prioritize engineering initiatives based on technical risk and business impact.
Understand how platform decisions affect revenue, conversion, customer experience, and product velocity.
Identify technical changes that can unlock meaningful business results.
Balance competing priorities across multiple product teams.
Make clear trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, security, and business value.
Measure Platform not only through technical metrics, but through how effectively it accelerates the company.
Engineering Leadership
Lead and develop the Platform engineering organization.
Own team structure, hiring, performance, priorities, and execution.
Build a culture of strong engineering ownership and accountability.
Stay close enough to architecture and technology to challenge decisions and make informed trade-offs.
Develop strong technical leaders within the team.
Raise the technical and execution bar across the organization.
AI-First Engineering
Actively use AI tools and agents in your own work.
Introduce AI-assisted workflows across engineering, specifications, QA, analytics, and operations.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work.
Use AI to increase engineering velocity and quality.
Build a team where AI becomes part of the engineering operating model.
Requirements
Experience as an Engineering Director, Head of Engineering, Head of Platform, VP Engineering, CTO, or in a comparable senior engineering leadership role.
Strong technical background and the ability to engage deeply in architecture and engineering decisions.
Experience building or operating complex platforms, shared services, or infrastructure used by multiple products or engineering teams.
Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, high-load environments, reliability, scalability, incidents, and security.
Experience with authentication, authorization, integrations, identity, payments infrastructure, or other shared platform capabilities.
Strong product and business mindset — you understand not only how something should be built, but why it matters.
Ability to prioritize based on business impact rather than technical complexity alone.
Experience working directly with senior product, business, and executive stakeholders.
Strong data-driven approach to engineering and decision-making.
Hands-on experience with modern AI tools and agents.
Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, marketplaces, gaming, or another high-scale technology environment is a strong advantage.
Benefits
Professional growth: support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
Paid leave: up to 20 vacation days + 8 company holidays + 5 personal days per year
Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company apartments in Cyprus).
Location: New York, NY

Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.

Reporting to our Procurement Manager, you’ll partner with Accounting and teams across Alchemy to keep our procure-to-pay process running smoothly across Zip, NetSuite, and Ramp. You’ll help strengthen existing processes, troubleshoot issues independently, and identify opportunities to improve how we work. This role requires attention to detail, dependability, and proactive communication.
While this role is remote we do get together as a team on occasion so a willingness to travel a couple times a year will be needed. Some time during your onboarding period you will be invited to our headquarters in San Francisco, California.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
DAILY AP OPERATIONS
- Manage the AP inbox, promptly process incoming invoices and requests, and serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal teams.
- Review, enter, classify, and code vendor invoices in Zip and NetSuite, ensuring complete documentation, appropriate approvals, and purchase order matching where applicable.
- Prepare payment batches for review and approval, monitor payment deadlines, and follow up on outstanding approvals or missing information.
- Support vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records, including tax forms, addresses, payment terms, and verified banking information.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate charges, missing credits, and payment issues; escalate exceptions when needed.
- Review employee expenses and corporate card transactions in Ramp for accurate coding, receipts, approvals, and policy compliance.
CLOSE SUPPORT & SPECIAL PROJECTS
- Reconcile AP activity and balances with the general ledger, investigate differences, and ensure invoices, credits, and payments are properly recorded.
- Support month-end close by identifying unrecorded invoices and potential accruals and preparing supporting schedules for Accounting.
- Maintain vendor tax documentation, including W-9s, and support annual 1099 preparation.
- Follow established approval and payment controls, including verification procedures for vendor banking changes.
- Maintain organized records and provide AP documentation for internal reviews and external audits.
- Support system updates, workflow improvements, and other projects affecting procurement, expenses, accounts payable, and FP&A.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting operations role, with hands-on responsibility for invoice processing and vendor support.
- Curiosity about how processes work and initiative to make them better.
- A solid understanding of invoice coding, purchase orders, payment terms, reconciliations, and basic accrual accounting.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems and the ability to learn new P2P, payment, and AI tools.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciling data across reports.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a habit of checking your work.
- The ability to manage recurring deadlines, prioritize competing requests, and follow through independently.
- Clear, practical communication and a collaborative approach to working with vendors and colleagues.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with NetSuite, Zip, or Ramp.
- Experience at a growing technology company or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience improving AP workflows or using automation to reduce repetitive work.

Associate Director, Biostatistics
with strong expertise in
oncology drug development and clinical trial strategy
. The individual will provide strategic statistical leadership across development programs and work closely with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical, Commercial, and Portfolio teams.
The ideal candidate should have experience in:
Selecting Trial Types: decide if a trial should be superiority, non-inferiority, or equivalence-based depending on what regulators and payers need to prove the drug beats a placebo or standard of care.
Endpoint Selection: define and validate primary and secondary endpoints (e.g., overall survival, biomarker response rates, quality-of-life scores) to ensure they are measurable, clinically meaningful, and statistically robust.
Innovative Designs: statisticians frequently design
adaptive trials
(e.g., seamless Phase II/III designs, group sequential designs, or biomarker-driven basket/umbrella trials) to save time and patients.
Sample Size & Power Calculations
Balancing Risk and Resources: use power calculations to ensure a trial has a high probability of detecting a true clinical effect without enrolling excess patients, which drives up costs and exposes unnecessary individuals to experimental risks.
Subgroup Powering: They determine if the study is large enough to analyze specific patient subsets (e.g., biomarker-positive patients or specific age groups).
Establishing
Go/No-Go Decision Gates
Proof-of-Concept Criteria: establish quantitative thresholds for Phase II trials (e.g., "If the hazard ratio is below 0.70 with a p-value , we proceed to Phase III").
Futility Stopping Rules: Experience in build rules into trial protocols to stop a failing trial early, preventing sunk costs on a drug that is unlikely to succeed.
Regulatory Strategy and Health Authority Negotiations : experience in preparing and reviewing data packages and attending meetings with regulatory bodies (like the FDA or EMA) to defend trial designs, proposed endpoints, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
Mitigating Regulatory Risk: Experience in anticipating and addressing statistical objections from health authorities regarding missing data handling, multiplicity adjustments (controlling for false positives when looking at multiple endpoints), and bias.
At the macro–Strategic Drug Development level, statisticians should have experience working with
commercial and portfolio management teams
.
Quantifying Uncertainty: Experience in using historical benchmark data and simulation models to estimate the Probability of Technical Success (PoS) for an asset at each development phase.
Pipeline Prioritization: Using risk models to help executive leadership in deciding whether to advance, partner, or kill an asset based on its statistical likelihood of clearing regulatory and market hurdles.
