We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle
Runway is growing fast, and so is the surface area of what users need to learn. We're looking for an Education Content Specialist to keep our Help Center accurate, our Academy content well-produced, and our users set up for success from day one.
You'll sit within the Experience & Enterprise Enablement team, working closely with the Education & Enablement lead to execute against a content roadmap that spans written documentation, video scripts, and self-service resources. Every feature launch will have your fingerprints on it. You're the person who makes sure users don't have to guess.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Write, update, and maintain Help Center articles across product features, billing, policies, and troubleshooting — keeping documentation accurate as the product moves fast
- Coordinate with engineering and product at launch time to ensure articles are live before features ship
- Audit existing Help Center content for accuracy and discoverability; surface recommendations based on support ticket trends and user feedback
- Create and maintain self-service content — FAQs, quick-start guides, troubleshooting flows — that reduces ticket volume and helps users help themselves
- Draft scripts for Runway Academy video tutorials, walkthroughs, and course modules
- Support production of Academy content: create supporting assets, prepare materials for recording, and help get finished content published and organized
- Build and maintain a library of templates, prompt guides, and project starters across Runway's tools
- Support production and publishing of office hours, webinars, and live Q&A sessions
- Keep Help Center documentation and Academy content consistent and cross-referenced
- Track the performance of content you've produced — article engagement, search deflection, CSAT — and flag gaps to the Education & Enablement lead
- Work with legal to ensure usage policies and terms are accurately reflected in customer-facing content
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 2-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, education content, or a similar role at a software or SaaS company
- Ability to translate complex product features into clear, user-friendly language — across articles, scripts, and guides
- Experience shipping documentation on tight timelines with cross-functional dependencies
- Comfort with help center platforms (Zendesk, Intercom, or similar) and content management systems
- Familiarity with video content production and an instinct for how to structure and pace educational content
- Strong editorial judgment — you catch inconsistencies before they go live
- Organized and autonomous working style; you can manage a documentation backlog while staying responsive to urgent launch needs
- A bias toward action and a belief that no task is too small
- Familiarity building with LLMs to streamline and automate processes
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with AI or creative tools — with genuine curiosity about how they work
- Background in or passion for the creative space — video, design, animation, or related fields
- Experience using support data (ticket volume, search queries, CSAT, completion rates) to prioritize content work
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Open to hiring remote — we also have offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
Runway is hiring a Detection & Response Engineer to own how we find and stop attacks against our infrastructure, our research environment and our products.
Securing a company that trains and serves frontier video models is a different problem from securing a typical SaaS product. The environment includes research compute, large training datasets, a fast-moving build pipeline and engineers who work inside AI-assisted tooling every day. Each of those changes what an attack looks like and what you need to see to catch it.
You'll join the Security team and build our detection and response program the way an engineer would: detections as code, response as automation, evidence as something you can query. This is a role with real ownership: you'll own the detection program end to end, from what we log to how quickly we close an incident. You'll report to the head of security, partner with engineers across platform and research, and shape how this function grows from here.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own detection and response end to end: what we log, what we alert on, how we triage and how we recover
- Write and tune detections as code across multiple cloud environments, Kubernetes, identity systems, endpoints and SaaS, and measure them on coverage and precision rather than alert volume
- Lead incident response from the first alert through containment and forensics, then write the post-incident review people actually read
- Build automation that takes toil out of triage, including enrichment, correlation, containment actions and evidence collection, and use LLM-based tooling where it holds up under audit
- Monitor AI agents and developer tooling operating inside our environment, and turn that into concrete telemetry and controls
- Partner with platform and research engineers so new systems ship with logging and response playbooks in place on day one
- Run threat hunts and tabletop exercises against the parts of the environment that worry you most, and fix what you find
- Turn incident and detection metrics into evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001 and enterprise customer security reviews, working with our GRC team
- Participate in an on-call rotation for security incidents
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Hands-on incident response experience: you've triaged live alerts, led investigations and written up what happened afterward
- Experience building and tuning detections in a modern SIEM, ideally managed as code
- Working knowledge of how attackers move through cloud and Kubernetes environments (IAM abuse, container escape, credential theft, supply chain compromise) and what that leaves behind in logs
- Comfort writing Python, Typescript, Rust or another language to automate response work and connect security tools
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform and with Kubernetes at the level of audit logs, RBAC and workload identity
- Clear writing. Incident timelines, detection documentation and updates to leadership are all part of the job
- Judgment about what to alert on, what to automate and when to wake someone up
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
- Experience monitoring GPU or HPC-style infrastructure, or research environments with large datasets
- Experience building detections or guardrails for AI agents, LLM tooling or MCP servers
- Cloud forensics experience: disk and memory acquisition, cloud audit trail reconstruction, chain of custody
- Published open source detection content

ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote — we also have offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
Runway is hiring an Infrastructure Security Engineer to secure the platform our models are trained and served on. The role covers Kubernetes platform security, cloud identity and access, software supply chain, tenant isolation in the serving layer and the research infrastructure behind our models.
Securing a company that trains and serves frontier video models is a different problem from securing a typical SaaS product. The environment includes research compute, large training datasets, a fast-moving build pipeline, and engineers who work inside AI-assisted tooling every day. Each of those changes what an attack looks like and what the platform has to enforce to stop it.
This is a hands-on engineering role on the Security team. You'll write policy, tooling and infrastructure code, work in the platform team's repositories, and ship controls that hold up in production.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and ship security controls in our Kubernetes ecosystem: admission policy, RBAC, workload identity, network policy and runtime hardening across every cluster we run
- Harden the software supply chain from dependency intake through build and deploy, including package firewalling, artifact signing and provenance, and admission controls that block what doesn't pass
- Own cloud IAM and identity architecture: least-privilege roles, short-lived credentials and workload federation
- Secure research infrastructure and training pipelines, including access to model weights and datasets, without slowing down the people using them
- Threat model new platform components before they ship and turn the findings into concrete requirements the owning team can act on
- Build guardrails for AI agents and developer tooling operating inside our infrastructure
- Write infrastructure as code and policy as code, and treat security configuration with the same review and rollout discipline as any other change
- Give the incident response team what they need when infrastructure is involved: fast answers about how a system works and what to shut off
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes in production: you've written admission policies, debugged RBAC and workload identity problems and understand how a cluster gets compromised
- Working knowledge of cloud IAM and networking on at least one major cloud platform, including how identity federation and short-lived credentials actually work
- Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps-style deployment, and the habit of shipping security changes through the same pipeline as everything else
- Comfort writing Python, Typescript, Rust or another language to build tooling, not just scripts
- An understanding of software supply chain attacks and the controls that stop them: signing, provenance, SBOMs, admission enforcement
- Clear writing. Design docs, threat models and explanations to engineers who don't work in security are all part of the job
- Judgment about which controls to enforce, which to recommend and how to roll out a breaking change without breaking the company
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
- Experience securing GPU or HPC-style compute, training pipelines or research environments
- Experience with policy engines and admission controllers (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, Falco or similar)
- Multi-tenant isolation design in a cloud environment: ABAC, scoped credentials, per-tenant boundaries
- Experience producing security architecture evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001 or other audits and customer assessments
- Open source contributions or published work in cloud or Kubernetes security

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for someone to own Runway's SEO and AEO strategy, end to end. You’ll build out our library of SEO content at scale, run experiments to sharpen what's working, own technical SEO health and report on what’s working to drive organic growth.
This is a hybrid strategy-and-execution role. You won't just hand off a keyword list and wait. You'll be optimizing a piece of content one day and making a technical case to our development team the next.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own Runway's SEO and AEO strategy: Keyword cluster architecture (pillar-and-spoke), competitive SERP and content-gap analysis, understanding what stage of the buying journey a searcher is in so content matches what they actually need, as well as champion Runway's presence in AI-generated answers.
- Build out Runway's library of SEO content: Briefs, landing pages, articles and more, identifying and scoping high-opportunity content, without sacrificing quality or brand voice
- Design and run experiments on content formats, internal linking and page structure and use the results to sharpen the strategy
- Own technical SEO health: Indexing, sitemaps, structured data and schema markup, ongoing site monitoring and recommend site structure and information architecture changes (page templates, internal linking, URL structure) that improve crawlability and rankings
- Own measurement and reporting for organic growth: Track keyword rankings, organic traffic and AI citation trends against clear targets, and go beyond traffic volume to measure whether that traffic actually converts into product signups
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4+ years in SEO, with experience contributing to overall strategy
- Experience building or scaling an SEO function from a small base, moving fluidly between strategic and hands-on work
- Experience collaborating across teams, including managing freelancers and partnering with product, marketing and design teams
- Proficiency with GA4 and Google Search Console, plus keyword/competitive research tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs
- Experience in AEO / AI-search visibility, with the ability to bake it into a broader SEO strategy
- Experience using Profound, AirOps, or similar AEO tool is a plus
- Experience at an AI, product-led or consumer-facing tech company is a plus, where SEO has to coexist with a fast-moving roadmap

ABOUT THE ROLE
Open to hiring remote across North America and London — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
We're building a tool that makes content creation easy and accessible for all types of creatives. Our users love it. Runway has an actively engaged and growing community of passionate artists and creators worldwide. And we're scaling the systems behind our support team so we can keep delivering delightful experiences as that community grows.
We're looking for a Support Systems Engineer who ships production code, not tickets and specs: someone who takes a fix from proposal to merged PR themselves. This role reports directly to the Head of Customer Experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the AI support agent, our ticketing system and other Support tools end to end: authentication (JWT), response logic, routing, escalation paths and tone, tested in staging before it sees live traffic
- Ship daily product changes that remove ticket volume. Recent example: extending automatic refund eligibility to one-click credit purchases, accidental upgrades and month-based proration on annual terms
- Build and maintain internal CX tooling as real software, not one-offs: scripts, jobs, dashboards, admin surfaces
- Run QA and evals with real test suites and pass/fail rubrics, plus monitoring and alerts for outages, bugs and volume spikes
- Own releases: staged rollouts, a regression suite before every ship, clear rollback criteria, a writeup when something reaches production
- Build the CX reporting the org runs on: volume, deflection, CSAT, reply and resolution time, escalation accuracy, agent spend. You own the correctness and availability of the queries.
- Build and stage the guardrails on refunds, account changes and anything touching money or PII, including the audit trail
- Keep the knowledge base accurate and structured for the agent to parse, and manage the handoff into the ticketing system
- Keep the CX roadmap and the coverage model current, sequenced against priorities set by the Head of CX, so gaps show up before they bite
- Run the day-to-day with our AI platform vendor: weekly working session, joint roadmap, issues filed with reproductions
- Carry signal across teams: Product and Engineering on bugs and rollouts, Customer Education on self-serve, community on Discord and the forums, GTM and Analytics on routing and reporting
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years in Customer Experience, Support Engineering or Support Operations, with real time spent writing code
- You ship production code in codebases you didn't write: read TypeScript, trace logic through someone else's service, put up a PR that survives review. Our stack is TypeScript and Node.js on AWS
- Hands-on experience building and tuning AI or LLM-powered support workflows: prompt and context engineering, routing, escalation design, evals
- SQL experience. You own the reporting, so you shouldn't be waiting on Analytics for it
- Code-level experience with a billing or payments API: invoices, prorations, refunds. A large share of consumer tickets live here
- Git, PR review, CI, staging and feature flags as your default way of working
- Real QA and eval experience: you can define rubrics, build test suites and calibrate against what good looks like
- Judgment about where a fix belongs, in code, in the agent or in the knowledge base
- A track record carrying signal between support, product and other functions and turning it into action
- Comfort managing your own work in a fast-moving environment, high ownership and high autonomy
- Genuine interest in AI, creative tools or both
WHAT SETS YOU APART
The most successful person in this role treats the agent and the systems around it like a product they own. They watch where it fails, ship the fix and check whether it worked. They build reporting people actually use. And they show up with improvements no one asked for yet.
FOR YOUR APPLICATION
During our interview process, you'll have several chances to get acquainted with the Runway product and use all the features our team has built, and that starts now. As part of your application, instead of a cover letter, we ask that you try out the Runway product, specifically build a custom workflow.
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.

*Open to candidates based near our NYC office or those willing to relocate.
We're looking for a Workplace Lead to own Runway's offices: where they are, how they get built and how they feel to work in.
Today that means New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, & Tel Aviv. Over the next few years it means more room in those cities and new locations elsewhere. You'll handle the real estate and the buildouts, what it costs to run each site, and the events and visits that happen in these rooms. You'll work with cross functional partners including People and Finance on how much space we need and when, and with IT and Security on what it takes to make a site usable.
Expect to be close to the work itself, not only the strategy behind it. Things are always moving quickly at Runway, so this role calls for exceptional organization and the judgment to know what needs a plan and what just needs doing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Handle the daily operation of each office: cleaning, repairs, food, supplies, access control, and health and safety
- Own the workplace budget and the reporting behind it, from rent and capex through daily operating spend
- Run Runway's onsite programming, including all-hands, offsites, team events, screenings and visits from partners and press
- Decide how much space Runway needs in each city and by when, working from hiring forecasts with People and Finance
- Take new offices from shortlist to signed lease, working with brokers, Legal and Finance on terms
- Manage design, construction and furniture projects to move-in dates that hold
- Work with IT and Security on network, AV and physical access ahead of each opening
- Set up local vendors, services and compliance in markets where Runway hasn't operated before
- Travel occasionally to Runway's other offices, usually around an opening or a large onsite event
- Decide what good looks like for a Runway office, then keep checking each one against it, from the perspective of both the people working there and the people visiting
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 7+ years in corporate real estate, facilities or workplace operations
- Deep project management experience across construction schedules, permitting and short-notice logistics
- Hands-on lease and vendor contract experience, and a budget you personally signed off on
- Cross-functional experience with teams such as Finance, People, IT and Security
- At least one office you took from first site visit through opening day
- International real estate, employment or compliance experience is a plus
- Comfort writing the process docs, service standards and vendor scorecards a workplace function depends on
- Accountability for offices you don't sit in every day
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team.
WORKING AT RUNWAY

We’re committed to creating a space where our employees can bring their full selves to work and have equal opportunity to succeed. So regardless of race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, origin, ability, age, veteran status, if joining this mission speaks to you, we encourage you to apply.

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the transactional database market. The PlanetScale platform offers both Postgres and Vitess clusters. Vitess, an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL, enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience.
PlanetScale is backed with over $100M in venture financing from top-tier VCs including a16z, Kleiner Perkins, SignalFire, and Insight Venture Partners. And we serve some of the most innovative companies in the world such as Block, Anysphere (Cursor), MyFitnessPal, Etsy, Kick, and thousands more. Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn't be higher. We're looking for early members of our Sales team that can form deep partnerships with our prospects and customers to help them adopt and succeed on the next generation of database infrastructure.
We host the databases behind companies like Cash App, Intercom, and Cursor. In other words: important databases.
We’re hiring a dedicated outbound SDR. You won’t inherit a dusty playbook assembled in 2017 and be told to “just add personalization.” You’ll help us build an AI-native outbound motion from the ground up. You’ll work with modern tools, help create the playbook, and have input into how we build outbound from here. This role is for someone who wants to sell, experiment, automate repetitive work, and learn how great infrastructure companies go to market.
If that sounds exciting, and slightly intimidating, that’s probably a good sign!
What ‘s the job to be done?
Find promising companies that should be using PlanetScale, but aren’t yet.
Research their architecture, growth, and likely infrastructure problems.
Build creative outbound campaigns using tools like Claude and Clay.
Talk to engineers and technical leaders without immediately saying, “Let me bring in someone technical.”
Turn interest into real pipeline: a mapped buyer, an actual problem, and a reason to solve it now.
Help determine what works, what doesn’t, and what we should scale.
These attributes describe you.
You have 1+ year of quota-carrying SDR or BDR experience.
You’ve consistently hit your number.
You’re early in your career, ambitious, and learning quickly.
You already use AI to improve how you work—not just to rewrite emails with the word “delve.”
You can show us something you built with Claude, Clay, or another AI tool and explain how it made you better or faster.
When you encounter repetitive work, your first thought is, “Could a robot do this?”
You’re curious about databases, infrastructure, and how modern AI companies are built.
You actively seek feedback rather than treating it as a personal attack.
What you will need.
Not literal points. We do not have a leaderboard. But these will help:
You’ve sold to engineers, platform teams, or infrastructure buyers.
You’ve worked in developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
You’ve used Clay, Unify, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, or Salesforce.
You’ve worked somewhere with a real outbound playbook and know which parts are worth keeping.
You can explain what a database does without checking Wikipedia first.
Why PlanetScale
We're redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale—and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS.
PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work and thrive no matter the location. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. We strive to build an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued, whether they are a candidate or an employee. We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status, disability, pregnancy status, and veteran status.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there's any way we can make the interview process better for you; we're happy to accommodate!
Location
This role is based in San Francisco. You'll need to already live here
Total Compensation and Pay Transparency
An employee's total compensation consists of base salary + variable comp where appropriate + benefits + equity. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to answer any further questions when we engage with you to begin the interview process.

Location: New York, NY; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA
Workplace: Remote
Open to hiring remote across the US. We also have offices in NYC, San Francisco and Seattle.
This is the builder seat on the revenue team. You'll spend your time with sellers (BDRs, AEs and account managers), learning where the motion breaks. Then you'll fix it with software: signals, scoring, routing, agents and the CRM underneath. In practice you're also our RevOps lead, so you own the systems that turn product usage into pipeline and pipeline into closed-won.
At Runway, a GTM Engineer understands the rep's day as well as the stack. You know why a lead should be worked now, which account deserves an AE's afternoon, and what gets a rep to actually open a tool. Then you build it with Clay, SQL, APIs and agentic workflows, where a traditional ops hire would file a ticket or buy another tool. We care more about what you've shipped and the behavior it changed than about the title you held.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
SIGNAL, SCORING & PIPELINE
- Design our account and lead scoring model, with Fit, Intent and Engagement as separate inputs, and keep it honest against conversion data
- Build the PLG-to-Enterprise signal layer: product usage, web and third-party intent feeding a prioritized BDR/AE queue, with routing and SLAs reps trust
- Turn every signal into a reason to reach out (why this account, why now, why this person), packaged so a rep can act in minutes
- Own Clay enrichment and outbound data infrastructure, and raise BDR output at the systems level
- Spot patterns in what converts (segments, use cases, messaging, timing) and bring them to Sales, Marketing and Product
SELLER WORKFLOW & AGENTS
- Sit with frontline sellers to find where the motion breaks, then ship the fix within two weeks
- Build and run the GTM agent fleet (account research, pre-call briefs, follow-up drafts, CRM updates) from prototype to daily use, with reps reviewing and approving
- Surface the right account context at the right moment: before QBRs, ahead of renewals, when an expansion signal fires
- Build churn-risk and expansion detection with Deployment and CX so the post-sale motion runs on live signals
- Instrument every agent so decisions, failures, human edits and outcomes are visible, and own the loop of evals and iteration
REVENUE SYSTEMS & POLICY
- Own the commercial model in Salesforce (routing, territories, rules of engagement, approvals) as the source every system and agent reads from
- Connect the stack (Salesforce, Gong, Clay, product usage, the warehouse) so an account looks the same everywhere
- Automate deal desk work: quote workflows, discount approval routing, and pricing guardrails enforced in-system
- Partner with Sales leadership and Finance on comp plan and policy mechanics (crediting, CRM hygiene requirements, win/loss capture), and build systems that make the behavior we pay for the easy path
- Build the reporting under the CRO dashboard: pipeline coverage, conversion rates, ramp velocity, forecast accuracy
MEASUREMENT & ITERATION
- Own every build end to end: discovery, prototype, rollout, adoption, iteration
- Measure the adoption and revenue impact of everything you ship, and kill what nobody uses
- Bring the VP build-vs-buy recommendations backed by working prototypes
- Feed field evidence to Product so enterprise signals reach roadmap decisions
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 5+ years in GTM roles (RevOps, sales ops, GTM engineering, sales development or sales), with at least 2 spent building systems for revenue teams
- Real time close to the number: you've carried a quota, run an SDR team, or worked alongside sellers long enough to know their day and what they'll actually use
- A scoring or routing system you designed, and the conversion change it drove
- Builds you can demo: enrichment pipelines, routing logic, agent workflows in production, and the adoption numbers behind them
- Hands-on Clay skills (or show us you can get dangerous in it during the process), working SQL, and enough Python or JavaScript to call APIs and ship automations
- Familiarity with enterprise sales motions at $100K to $2M ACV
- Experience shaping comp plans, rules of engagement or sales policy is a plus
- Salesforce admin depth, data warehouse or analytics engineering experience is a plus. We'll take an operator who builds over an engineer who's never sat with a rep.
