Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Engineering Team Lead (Geospatial Analytics)
- Location: Espoo, Finland. Relocation to Finland required
- Department: Product Engineering, Solutions
- Reports to: Engineering Manager, Geospatial Product Engineering
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
As Engineering Team Lead (Geospatial Analytics), you'll own a product engineering team that turns remote sensing and auxiliary data into fast, reliable insight when natural catastrophes happen. The team currently supports our Wind, Earthquake and Landslide products and brings together analytics (SAR, Machine learning / Data Science) and software engineers.
You will work in tandem with the Product Manager to decide what to build and why, and closely with Operations to make sure the products perform during live events.Your decisions shape how several products work, so you'll own the product’s engineering domain end to end: analytics that serve several products at once, built to the level the problem needs and no further. You will be hands-on, which keeps your technical judgement credible and your feedback specific.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and own the product engineering team: hiring, growth, performance and wellbeing of the team members
- Own the team's technical direction across analytics and engineering, taking work from research prototype to production systems that run reliably against customer commitments.
- Work in tandem with the Product Manager on roadmap and priorities, turning customer needs into analytics capability.
- Design shared change detection analytics that serve multiple products in the team’s portfolio
- Collaborate closely with Operations on event response, so that delivery workflows, latency and quality hold up when it matters.
- Contribute directly to analytical development (SAR, geospatial data science / ML), validation and code.
- Set and maintain scientific and engineering standards across the team, including review practice, validation rigour, testing and documentation.
- Stakeholder management - including Product Engineering leadership and different product stakeholders
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- Master’s or PhD in Remote Sensing, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Geoscience, Physics, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in hands-on leadership as a line manager or tech lead, with a track record of delivery and examples of people who grew under your leadership.
- Experience working closely with product and operations teams in a flow-based, outcome-focused way, including giving direct feedback constructively and explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- A record of taking analytics from prototype to reliable production against latency, accuracy and uptime targets, with sound judgement on when a solution is good enough.
- Experience building, validating and deploying ML models or analytical pipelines based on SAR or other remote sensing imagery for tasks such as damage assessment, change detection or object detection. This includes working with noisy or sparse labels, validating against ground truth such as field surveys or claims data, and monitoring model performance in production.
- A solid grasp of SAR principles, including how backscatter responds to structural change in built environments, and applied experience in change detection using amplitude, coherence or interferometric (InSAR) methods.
- Strong Python skills and experience applying modern engineering practice (Git, code review, testing, CI, documentation), deployed with Docker on AWS. Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Nice to haves:
- Experience fusing remote sensing imagery with auxiliary data, such as weather, terrain models or building attributes, to improve model performance.
- Experience using geospatial foundation models and embeddings (e.g. AlphaEarth Foundations) for tasks such as classification, similarity search or change detection.
- Experience with natural hazards, disaster response, insurance or emergency management use cases.
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools in your daily engineering work.
- A publication or patent record, or other evidence of sustained technical contribution.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

As Escalation Manager, you'll own complex, executive, and commercial escalations where customer trust and the relationship are at stake, alongside or independently of a technical issue.
In this functional role, you'll advocate for customers inside GitLab, coordinate teams toward resolution, and lead relationship repair after the event.
What you'll do
Own complex, executive, and commercial escalations end-to-end, as defined in GitLab's IM/EM engagement model.
Advocate for customers internally and coordinate Engineering, Support, Product, Customer Success, and Sales toward resolution, tracking commitments and holding owning teams accountable to agreed dates and deliverables.
Maintain a written, customer-facing resolution plan from engagement through confirmed resolution, updating it at each communication milestone.
Coordinate with Incident Managers during concurrent technical incidents to maintain a single, coherent narrative for the customer.
Own external escalation communications using GitLab's approved templates and cadence, and represent GitLab in high-stakes customer conversations where clarity and ownership influence retention.
Engage Sales, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders as needed, including executive-to-executive communication for Severity 1 and 2 events. Brief GitLab leadership with concise summaries that distinguish what's known, what's unknown, and next steps.
Lead post-escalation reviews and relationship repair plans, contribute corrective actions with named owners and due dates to postmortems, and hand the relationship back to the account's Customer Success Manager at resolution.
Partner with the Head of IM/EM to develop playbooks, communication templates, and process improvements based on patterns from escalations.
What you'll bring
Experience in enterprise technical support, customer success, or incident and escalation management at a business-to-business software-as-a-service or enterprise software company.
A track record of owning complex, multi-stakeholder escalations end-to-end, including executive customer engagements and structured resolution or account plans.
Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into plain-language updates for customers and GitLab leadership.
The ability to coordinate Engineering, Support, Product, Customer Success, and Sales under pressure without formal authority over those teams.
Calm, structured decision-making with incomplete information and the ability to provide a steadying presence in high-stress customer situations.
Proficiency with support and coordination tools such as Zendesk, Salesforce, Slack, and PagerDuty, or equivalent platforms.
Availability for on-call coverage supporting executive escalations as part of a globally distributed team.
Nice to have:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or equivalent certification; customer-facing experience with GitLab, development, security, and operations (DevSecOps), continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), or cloud-native products; experience with formal escalation or incident command frameworks; or AI-assisted support tools for triage, sentiment analysis, or resolution drafting.
About the team
The Incident & Escalation Management function sits within Support Engineering in GitLab's Enterprise Technology & AI (ETA) division. We operate a follow-the-sun model anchored in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, providing year-round, 24-hour coverage for enterprise customers. Our Escalation Managers work globally rather than within a single region, partnering with Incident Managers, Communications Leads, and regional Support Engineering leadership. You'll help shape our playbooks, templates, and standards as we scale.

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
The Opportunity
Our team owns Oyster’s APIs, connected architecture (including Model Context Protocol services) and identity and access management systems. In this role you’ll build and maintain the Ruby on Rails APIs that help our internal teams get work done more effectively.
You’ll partner directly with colleagues across the business to understand how they work, find where an API can remove manual effort, clarify requirements and deliver real productivity improvements. You’ll take well-scoped projects from design through release, with the team’s support on design choices and on unfamiliar or higher-risk areas. Along the way, you’ll grow your ownership of projects within the team.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN
- Internal API use cases, from discovery to delivery. Work with internal stakeholders to understand their workflow, define acceptance criteria and break the work into manageable increments.
- Production Rails APIs. Design, implement, test, review and release changes within established architecture and security practices, raising dependencies and risks early.
- Secure, careful code. Handle authentication, authorization and sensitive data carefully, and seek review for unfamiliar access-control or integration changes.
- Reliable, maintainable systems. Troubleshoot defects and API failures using evidence, add regression coverage and contribute to maintainability improvements.
- Measurable impact. Evaluate delivered workflows with stakeholders to confirm adoption and productivity gains.
- A strong team culture. Contribute to domain modeling and design discussions with Product and senior engineers. Give constructive code reviews, document API behavior and decisions for async collaboration, support less-experienced colleagues and help simplify unnecessary process.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Essential
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Ruby.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications. You can explain your API implementation choices and use Git effectively.
- The ability to refine straightforward stakeholder requirements into well-scoped work, and to ask for support when risk or dependencies exceed the agreed scope.
- Strong code quality habits: readable code, automated tests (TDD where appropriate), continuous integration, meaningful reviews and secure coding awareness.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development, including independent verification of generated code, tests and assumptions.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration in an agile, remote team. You adapt as priorities change and document decisions so others can work asynchronously.
Nice to have
- Front-end experience with React and TypeScript.
- Exposure to internal developer-facing APIs, identity and access management, or Model Context Protocol services. This is not required.
WHY JOIN US
- Direct, visible impact. Your users are your colleagues, so you’ll see how your work changes their day.
- Growing ownership with real support. You’ll own scoped projects end to end, with experienced teammates backing you on the unfamiliar parts.
- A meaningful technical domain. You’ll work across APIs, connected architecture and access management, areas where careful engineering really matters.
- Thoughtful remote culture. You’ll join a globally inclusive, async-friendly team that values documentation and sustainable working boundaries.

Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Customer Success Operations Specialist
- Location: Espoo, Finland
- Department: Customer Success, Missions Line of Business
- Reports to: Director, Customer Success, Missions
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
As a Customer Success Operations Specialist, you’ll run the operating rhythm behind ICEYE’s Missions Customer Success model. Missions delivers sovereign SAR satellite programs to governments worldwide, and Customer Success stays with these customers from go-live through operations, renewal and expansion. Program Managers and Customer Success Managers in each market own the relationships; you own what keeps them running smoothly: the governance calendar, pre-reads, meeting minutes, action registers and follow-up.
You’ll make sure every internal review and customer meeting happens on time, is well prepared, ends with clear decisions, and that every action is closed. Within six months, you will independently drive the cadence across all target accounts. This ensures our customers stay satisfied, building the baseline for a long-lasting relationship.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space.
- Own the governance calendar for all Missions customer accounts, planned a quarter ahead and sized by account tier. Trigger extra reviews when something material changes, such as a major incident, a procurement shift or a renewal risk.
- Prepare, run and document the recurring forums: the monthly Customer Pulse review and Operational and Service Reviews, and the quarterly Internal Account Reviews, Executive Reviews (QBRs), Portfolio Reviews and Voice of Customer syncs with Product. Run the full QBR cycle end to end for strategic accounts.
- Feed Customer Success input into existing forums (PMO Steering Group, sales pipeline, go-live working groups and LoB leadership) and track the follow-ups.
- Coordinate customer reviews with local Program Managers, Customer Success Managers, local ICEYE CEOs and functional experts, covering agendas, invitations, pre-reads, logistics and customer visits to Espoo, including community formats.
- Own the action, risk and decision registers. Chase open actions, escalate overdue items early and close the loop with customers on every commitment.
- Keep the Customer Dashboard, one-page Account Briefs and portfolio reporting current.
- Support running CSAT pulses after major interactions and NPS around QBRs, track recovery plans for detractors, and capture and quantify customer requirements for the product roadmap.
- Turn the operating model into playbooks and templates, and automate reminders, reporting and dashboards in Jira, Slack and Salesforce, using AI tools where they save time.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- Hands-on experience in business operations, PMO, customer success operations or program coordination, ideally in B2B or B2G technology
- Proven experience running a governance or operating rhythm across many stakeholders, functions and time zones
- Strong follow-through: you track actions to closure without being prompted, while keeping strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent written English for agendas, pre-reads, minutes and executive summaries
- Confidence building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Google Sheets or Excel, Jira, Salesforce or similar tools
- Discretion with sensitive customer information
- A structured, calm way of working when priorities shift and several reviews run in parallel
- Hands-on use of automation or AI tools to cut manual reporting and follow-up
Nice to haves:
- Experience in space, defence, government or other regulated programs
- Familiarity with customer success practice: QBRs, health scores, CSAT and NPS, Voice of Customer
- Finnish or other languages

- Be curious: Go deep, ask questions, listen carefully, and think critically. Understand the “why” behind decisions.
- See the big picture: Stay close to what’s happening across the company so you can make better decisions. Consider how your work affects others.
- Drive effective teamwork: Create psychological safety, invite different perspectives, and build inclusive teams. There are no bad questions.
- Act as one team: We win together. We match tasks to the right owner and stay agile as priorities shift.
- Have fun: What we do matters—and it should be enjoyable. Celebrate progress, take pride in results, and share the wins.
