We are a kind, curious, approachable, and customer-focused team on a mission to drive the vision of 1Password forward.
As a Sales Engineer for the SMB segment, you will be a trusted technical advisor, driving revenue growth, improving win rates, and accelerating deal velocity through strategic technical guidance. Partnering closely with Account Executives, you will demonstrate and position Enterprise Password Management (EPM), 1Password Privileged access, Software as a service (SaaS) Manager and device trust as an integrated solution that helps reduce risk across users, applications and devices.
You will navigate high-volume, fast-paced SMB sales cycles, uncovering opportunities to position the full product suite and applying frameworks like MEDDPICC to qualify opportunities, address requirements, and influence decision-makers. You will also support customers with compliance needs by responding to security questionnaires, RFPs/RFIs, and vendor registration requirements.
You will bring credibility with both security and technical buyers, including those evaluating or transitioning from developer-centric secrets management tools. As 1Password's portfolio evolves toward Unified Access, your ability to bridge human identity (EPM), application access (SaaS Manager), and endpoint trust (Device Trust) with the emerging machine identity and secrets automation narrative will be a differentiator in every deal.
As a subject matter expert across all 1Password products, you will collaborate with Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience to create resources, enablement materials, and customer-facing content that drive adoption, improve close rates, and deliver measurable business impact.

Expectations of this role
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from 1Password's London office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from the office up to 5 days based on business needs.
Note: All go-to-market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
What we're looking for:
- At least 4 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (B2B SaaS, preferably in the SMB segment or similar).
- Ability to communicate in French fluently
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently to a wide range of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, making complex information sound simple and relevant.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality, even in high-volume environments.
- Enthusiasm for learning, testing, and problem-solving. You are curious and dig in when a customer has a challenge.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first team.
- Open to learning and able to adapt quickly, working across multiple products and shifting priorities with a flexible and proactive mindset.
- Experience in or strong familiarity with the security and identity space, including credential management, privileged access, or secrets management. Prior exposure to tools such as HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or similar PAM and secrets platforms is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable navigating developer-centric conversations, including how teams manage secrets in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI), container environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). You don't need to write the code, but you should understand the workflow and the risks.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and how engineering teams embed security into their development lifecycle. Able to engage confidently with DevOps leads, platform engineers, and CISOs on the risks of secrets sprawl, hardcoded credentials, and over-privileged service accounts.
- Working knowledge of identity concepts including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and OAuth/OIDC, and how SaaS application access is managed across growing teams. Familiarity with MDM or endpoint management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, CrowdStrike) is a bonus.
- Awareness of the growing challenge of non-human identity: service accounts, API tokens, bot credentials, and the security risks they introduce as teams scale AI and automation workflows. Ability to position this as a near-term customer pain, even in SMB accounts.
- Working knowledge of modern sales qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC) is preferred. Training and enablement will be provided as part of ongoing development.
- A growth mindset and a genuine curiosity about the evolving identity and security landscape.
- Bonus: hands-on experience integrating 1Password or a secrets manager with a developer workflow, CI/CD tool, or automation platform (e.g., GitHub Actions, Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar).
What you can expect:
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for SMB sales opportunities within the Go-to-Market team.
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver scalable, impactful technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Confidently position and demo all three core products, EPM, SaaS Manager, and Device Trust, as an integrated solution, articulating how they work together to reduce risk across users, apps, and devices. Connect these to the broader Unified Access vision for forward-looking customers.
- Support fast-paced, high-volume sales cycles with concise, effective technical guidance.
- Recommend and position tailored product solutions that align with SMB customer needs, goals, and common use cases.
- Run technical discovery with a range of stakeholders, from IT admins and security leads to developers and DevOps engineers, uncovering use cases around privileged access, SaaS shadow IT, unmanaged endpoints, and secrets for automation and AI workflows.
- Handle competitive situations involving PAM vendors (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust), secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and SaaS security platforms. Articulate 1Password's differentiated value for SMB teams who need enterprise-grade capabilities without enterprise-grade complexity.
- Partner with SMB reps to build their confidence in discussing product capabilities and navigating technical conversations.
- Proactively identify potential technical risks in deals and collaborate with Product and Support teams to resolve them.
- Uncover and qualify AI-related use cases during discovery, including how customers are managing secrets for developer tooling, automation workflows, and emerging AI agent infrastructure.
- Support proof-of-concept engagements that validate Secrets Automation use cases, including scenarios where customers are securing credentials for AI pipelines, developer environments, or cloud-native workloads.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product Marketing to create and improve internal resources such as objection handling guides, demo frameworks, and playbooks.
- Deliver product education to customers focusing on accessibility for non-technical or resource-constrained teams.
- Respond to vendor/risk assessments, RFPs/RFIs, security questionnaires, and other technical documentation requests as needed.

Our systems regularly process more than 12 billion emails during peak events like Black Friday, and our throughput requirements continue to scale rapidly. As an L3 engineer, you will act as a key driver of execution within our core services. You will be heavily involved in modernizing our backend systems, optimizing our extensive Go-based microservices, and contributing to the design and reliability of our dual-cloud infrastructure span across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities

Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring junior engineers, leading technical sprint planning, and sharing expertise across distributed engineering nodes.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
Required:
Experience:
4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating resilient backend services at scale.
Modern Development Workflow:
Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code) to accelerate code generation, automate testing, and streamline debugging workflows.
Language Proficiency:
Strong, hands-on production experience writing clean, idiomatic, and highly concurrent
Go (Golang), Java or Python
.

AWS
core services (such as EC2, S3, Aurora, or DynamoDB) AND
Microsoft Azure
equivalents (such as Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB).
Infrastructure as Code:
Proficiency with
Terraform
for provision-level automation and maintaining environment parity.
Distributed Systems:
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, and asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka or similar queuing ecosystems).
Systems Mindset:
Strong foundational background in computer science fundamentals, data structures, and building self-healing cloud architectures.
Desired:
Prior experience managing high-throughput applications running inside containerized infrastructure (
Docker, Kubernetes
).
Familiarity with database migration pathways (e.g., transitioning traditional on-prem/relational datastores to managed instances like
AWS Aurora
).
Experience implementing
OpenTelemetry
or distributed tracing systems across decoupled microservice platforms.
Direct experience handling constraints related to network topology, proxy layers, or
mail transfer agent (MTA)
protocols.

The Platform Auth team’s goal is to support our ‘one customer identity’ vision by providing tools, processes, and expertise for our engineering teams to create a unified access management experience while simplifying and standardizing engineering patterns in the space. We are looking for engineers to join our growing team!
What you will be doing:
- Design and build the platform services that power authentication, authorization, and audit across ClickHouse Cloud. This includes a unified RBAC/ReBAC service, token issuance and session handling, and the SDKs that product teams embed to make authorization decision.
- Model permissions and access control primitives (resources, roles, relationships, policies) that work across ClickHouse, SQL Console, ClickPipes, and HyperDX. Ship the libraries and APIs that other engineers build against.
- Implement protocol-level support for SAML, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth2, and MFA/passwordless flows. Own the integrations that make enterprise SSO and provisioning work end to end.
- Build the audit and authorization-decision telemetry pipeline so every access decision is observable, queryable, and surfaceable to customers.
- Partner with product engineering teams to migrate bespoke per-product auth implementations onto the shared platform, and design APIs that make adoption straightforward.
- Carry the platform on-call rotation and own production reliability for systems on the critical path of every customer request.
What you bring along:
- Minimum 4+ years building production backend systems at scale. Comfort with at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C++) and one application language (TypeScript, Python).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing an authentication or authorization service. Examples include building a token issuer, an OIDC or OAuth2 provider, a policy engine, a permissions model, or an FGA/ReBAC system in the style of Zanzibar, OpenFGA, SpiceDB, or Cedar.
- Working knowledge of SAML, SCIM, OIDC, and OAuth2 at the protocol level and are able to implement them.
- Experience designing APIs and SDKs that other engineers depend on, with strong opinions on what makes them adoptable.
- Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including caching strategies, consistency tradeoffs, and multi-region concerns.
- Familiarity with identity vendors (Auth0, WorkOS, AWS/GCP/Azure IAM) as building blocks you've extended or integrated into a larger platform.
- Strong production debugging instincts and a high bar for systems that are easy to develop against.
Bonus:
- You've built or contributed to a Zanzibar-style authorization system, or run an OpenFGA or SpiceDB deployment beyond the demo.
- You've designed a multi-tenant permission model that survived real customer requirements like custom roles, hierarchies, delegation, and ABAC attributes.
- You've shipped an SDK that product teams across an org actually adopted, and have opinions about why most internal SDKs fail.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams across Supabase. Teams range from developer-facing surfaces, core backend services, Platform, EngOps, and Databases.
This is a single pipeline for engineering management. As we get to know your background, we'll match you to the team where your experience and interests overlap most strongly. The Engineering Manager is a people, delivery, and technical role. Although we don’t expect managers to contribute to code directly, we do expect you to participate in design discussions and to be involved in setting the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
This is a new role at Supabase. We've historically optimised for technical excellence on every axis, including leadership. As our engineering org grows, people leadership has become just as critical, and the Engineering Manager role exists to reflect that. You'll be shaping what this role looks like from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Team & People
- Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
- Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for your direct reports.
- Handle people admin (leave, time off, etc.) for your team.
Hiring
- Own the hiring plan for your team and act as Hiring Manager. First round of interviewer for all roles on the team.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close strong candidates.
- Contribute to headcount planning, org design, and the evolution of engineering leadership at Supabase.
Delivery & Roadmap
- Own the team's roadmap and project management (Linear), driving accountability and clear milestones.
- Manage workflow intake and Slack triage. These are the team’s primary inboxes for cross-team requests. You decide what gets routed where, prioritized, or pushed back on.
- Own the team's weekly updates and keep stakeholders aligned without creating overhead.
- Organize effort against support tickets and maintain the team's SLO.
- Surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early and clearly to leadership.
Incident Commander
- Train as an Incident Commander. Drive coordination, resolution, and post-incident follow-up.
- Lead blameless post-incident reviews
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have 5+ years of engineering background, with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
- Have 3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
- Have managed engineering teams at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company. Experience with developer tools or databases is a strong preference, but we'll consider any sufficiently technical background where you can demonstrate the ability to ramp on a new domain.
- Have managed remote, globally distributed teams that work asynchronously across disparate time zones.
- Are technical enough to be credible with strong engineers, but genuinely passionate about people management. This is the work you want to do, not a track you're settling for.
- Build psychological safety and a feedback culture: you give feedback often and in the moment, ask for it back, and create space for the team to do the same.
- Operate as a multiplier. Focused on helping individuals achieve more than they could alone, not on being the best technical voice in the room.
- Coach rather than direct. Remove blockers, connect people to context and resources, and trust your engineers to own how the work gets done.
- Have a real track record of performance management and can speak to specific examples of difficult conversations and how you navigated them.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure where there isn't much.
- Communicate clearly and write well. You're default async, default written, set context proactively, and surface risks early.
- Are collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable. You thrive working with high-autonomy, senior ICs who have strong technical opinions and don't need to be the smartest person in the room.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members
We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.
