Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Figma's AI Tools team builds the AI-powered workflows, platforms, and tooling that make every engineer at the company more productive. From agentic CI auto-fixing and AI-assisted code review to background cloud agents that turn a Slack message into a pull request, this team owns the systems that are transforming how Figma builds software. The team operates across a three-layer platform stack—sandbox runtime, cloud agents, and workflow orchestration—while shipping and maintaining a growing portfolio of org-wide developer workflows that compound across hundreds of engineers.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for building and operating Figma's AI developer workflows and the cloud agent platform that powers them
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for AI Developer Experience, spanning sandbox runtime infrastructure, cloud agent reliability, workflow orchestration, and org-wide agentic workflows
Hire and scale the team - establishing team culture, execution cadence, and operational processes from the ground up
Drive the reliability, observability, and scalability of our cloud agent platform, ensuring it meets production-grade standards as adoption grows across the engineering organization
Partner with product engineering, security, infrastructure, and DevEx teams to identify the highest-leverage opportunities for AI-assisted developer workflows and drive adoption
Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools, models, and agent frameworks, making strategic bets on which capabilities to build versus buy
Establish evaluation frameworks to measure the quality, cost, and impact of AI-generated code and agentic workflows across the organization
Coach and mentor engineers through career development, performance feedback, and technical leadership, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and high-quality execution
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
3+ years of experience managing infrastructure, platform, or developer experience engineering teams, with a track record of scaling teams and delivering high-performing systems
Strong software engineering background, with Staff-level or above technical depth before moving into management with deep understanding of distributed systems, platform architecture, and the operational challenges of running production infrastructure at scale
Demonstrated fluency with AI/ML systems, LLM-based workflows, or agent architectures - as a builder, not just a consumer - with the ability to reason about tradeoffs in nondeterministic systems
Experience hiring, onboarding, and growing engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Ability to set technical direction, drive cross-functional alignment, and make sound architectural decisions while balancing speed of execution with long-term sustainability
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Direct experience building AI developer tooling, agent platforms, or AI-assisted engineering workflows
Familiarity with agent frameworks such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar background agent systems, including MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations
Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, n8n, or Tines for multi-stage automation
Background in developer experience platforms including CI/CD systems, build tools (Bazel/Blaze), or large polyglot monorepo environments
Experience building evaluation and quality frameworks for AI-generated outputs

If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Backend Platform team is the backbone of Perplexity’s product reliability, scalability, and performance, enabling every product and AI team to build with confidence.
This high‑impact group builds and maintains critical infrastructure, including backend systems for authentication, authorization, real-time data flows, service orchestration, and sandboxing, to ensure fast, reliable, and secure user experiences. By setting rigorous standards for code quality, uptime and performance, the Platform team ensures everyone at Perplexity can innovate at speed on top of a robust, well-architected foundation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and implementation of our sandboxing platform to safely execute untrusted and user‑generated code while meeting strict performance and reliability requirements.
- Define and extend our RBAC and authorization primitives, ensuring they scale with new product capabilities and enterprise controls.
- Own key backend services involved in authentication and encryption flows (including BYOK‑related pieces), partnering with Security and Infra on defense‑in‑depth.
- Set the technical bar for backend platform design and operations, driving best practices in reliability, observability, and incident response for always‑on systems.
- Partner with product and AI teams to define clear platform interfaces, SLAs, and integration patterns so new features can reliably build on shared backend capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership across the backend platform area, mentoring other engineers and making long‑term architectural decisions that keep the foundation simple, secure, and evolvable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing and building backend systems that run in production (typically 4+ years for mid-level, more for senior and staff).
- Strong system design skills, with a track record of creating efficient, reliable, and scalable architectures.
- Hands-on experience with modern infrastructure (for example AWS, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies).
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-language environment.
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to solve challenging technical problems with other experienced engineers.
- Comfort working in security‑sensitive areas (auth, authorization, encryption) and making pragmatic trade-offs between safety, simplicity, and velocity.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Platform team owns the end-to-end data lifecycle at Perplexity, from ingestion through processing, storage, and serving, powering product features, analytics, experimentation, AI workloads, and the company’s data lake.
The team defines the architecture for batch and streaming systems, the orchestration and observability stack, and a self-serve data platform, while thoughtfully combining platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake with open-source technologies including Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, Dagster, dbt, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and ClickHouse.
In this senior/staff role, you will shape architecture, set standards, and drive the long-term technical direction of Perplexity’s data ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and operate large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines that directly power Perplexity product features, AI training and evaluation workflows, analytics, and experimentation.
- Build event-driven and streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, PubSub, or similar) for real-time ingestion, transformation, and delivery, alongside batch frameworks for backfills, aggregations, and offline computation.
- Lead the architecture of data orchestration using tools like Airflow or Dagster, owning scheduling, dependency management, retries, SLAs, and end-to-end observability for critical data flows.
- Set and enforce guarantees for data correctness, freshness, lineage, and recoverability, designing systems that handle rapid scale growth, partial failures, and evolving schemas without disrupting AI workloads or product experiences.
- Build self-serve data platforms that let engineers, data scientists, and analysts safely discover data, define contracts, and create and operate their own pipelines with minimal friction.
- Improve developer experience through better abstractions, opinionated paved paths, and standards for data modeling, testing, validation, and deployment, treating the data platform as a product used by many teams.
- Drive architectural decisions across storage, compute, orchestration, and data APIs, partnering closely with product engineering and data science to align the data ecosystem with Perplexity’s roadmap.
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and raise the technical bar for data infrastructure through thoughtful feedback, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff) of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building production data infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on experience with batch and/or streaming data processing at scale.
- Deep familiarity with data orchestration systems (Airflow, Dagster, or similar).
- Proficiency in Python and at least one additional backend language (Go, TypeScript, etc.).
- Strong systems thinking around reliability, latency, cost, and complexity tradeoffs.
- Experience supporting ML/AI workflows, training pipelines, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with data quality, lineage, observability, and governance tooling.
- Prior ownership of internal platforms used by many teams.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Web Designer to own the design of Perplexity's marketing and landing pages. You'll be the person who makes sure every page we ship looks and feels like it belongs to one of the most exciting AI products in the world — clear, beautiful, and fast.
You're a great designer first and foremost, with the visual taste to set the bar for our web presence. But you also understand how modern web pages get built and maintained. As page volume grows across consumer and enterprise, a big part of this role is making our landing page system more self-serve internally: you'll create and own the design side of our CMS so the rest of the company can spin up on-brand pages without a designer in the loop every time.
You'll report into the Brand/Creative Studio team and work closely with Growth, Product Marketing, Brand, and our front-end engineers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the design of marketing pages, landing pages, and growth surfaces end-to-end — you're the DRI for web craft
- Create and own the CMS design system: the templates, components, and patterns that let teams build on-brand pages themselves
- Partner with Growth and Product Marketing to translate business goals into compelling, high-converting page designs
- Work with Brand to keep visual consistency across every web touchpoint
- Collaborate directly with front-end engineers to ship pages quickly and at a high quality bar, including the ongoing migration off Framer
- Bring a strong point of view on layout, typography, motion, and interaction design for the web
- Raise the floor on self-serve page creation so the design team can focus on the highest-craft work
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A strong portfolio of web and marketing design work — landing pages, campaign pages, product marketing sites — that shows you're a designer first
- Excellent visual design skills with a clear sense of brand, typography, and composition
- Hands-on experience designing within and for CMS / templating systems, and an instinct for building scalable, self-serve page systems
- Experience at the intersection of brand and growth — you understand conversion without sacrificing craft
- Comfort working fast and iterating in real time alongside engineers
- Fluency in Figma and a solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and web performance
- A clear opinion on what makes a great web page, and the ability to articulate why
NICE TO HAVE
- Front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, and enough JS to prototype, tweak, and ship)
- Background in brand or marketing design at a consumer tech company
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and how design decisions affect discoverability
- Motion design skills for web interactions and micro-animations

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
We're seeking an exceptional Research Scientist to join our Life Sciences team at Anthropic. Our team is building a world-class research group focused on making Claude a superhuman life sciences research assistant. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, and biology — you'll directly improve model capabilities on scientific tasks through post-training, evaluation design, and RL environment development.
As a core member of our Life Sciences team, you'll work in a high-impact team that translates deep biological domain knowledge into model training objectives, benchmarks, and agentic workflows. You'll help establish Anthropic as a leader in AI-accelerated biology while shaping how frontier models reason about and execute computational biology tasks.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how frontier AI models learn to do biology. You'll work alongside some of the world's best AI researchers while tackling problems that matter for human health and scientific understanding. If you're excited about turning your computational biology expertise into model capabilities, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Build and ship agentic tools and integrations that let Claude execute real life science workflows — bioinformatics pipelines, database queries, analysis notebooks, literature review
Design and build evaluation benchmarks that measure model capabilities on biology tasks — figure interpretation, bioinformatics, protocol reasoning, literature synthesis
Work closely with product and design teams to scope, prototype, and ship features for life sciences users
Partner with external biotech, pharma, and academic users to understand their workflows and turn feedback into product improvements
Build and maintain the engineering infrastructure behind our biology product surface — tool scaffolding, data pipelines, eval harnesses
Translate biological domain knowledge into product requirements and evaluation criteria that guide model improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Experience applying ML and software engineering to biological problems — computational biology, bioinformatics, protein ML, genomics, or similar
Experience working in drug discovery or development at a biotech or pharma company, or conducted fundamental research in an academic setting — with an understanding of what real scientific workflows look like and where they break down
Strong software engineering skills: comfortable building production-quality Python, working in large codebases, and owning infrastructure end-to-end
Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning ML models (LLMs, protein language models, or other deep learning architectures)
A track record of shipping computational tools or pipelines that biologists actually use
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining problems in a rapidly evolving research environment
Able to work independently while collaborating tightly with research, product, and domain-expert teams
Results-oriented with a bias toward rapid iteration and measurable impact
Passionate about using AI to accelerate scientific discovery while maintaining high ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience applying ML and software engineering to biological problems — computational biology, bioinformatics, protein ML, genomics, or similar
Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering, CS, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent industry experience
Experience with LLM post-training: RLHF, RL from verifiable rewards, SFT data curation, or eval-driven development
Direct experience with therapeutic discovery pipelines — target identification, lead optimization, ADMET modeling, or clinical data analysis
Familiarity with bioinformatics tooling and pipelines (sequence analysis, structure prediction, single-cell, variant calling, etc.)
Experience building agentic systems or tool-use environments
Published research in ML for biology, or open-source contributions to computational biology tools
Fluency with biological databases (UniProt, PDB, Ensembl, NCBI) and the ability to reason about their schemas and failure modes

We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
