About the Role
We are an international broker. Our clients fund and withdraw through approximately 60 payment methods across Asia, Africa, LATAM, and the Middle East.
Payments Product is now a standalone function, and we are building the team around it. This is an early core hire.
We are looking for a Payment Integration Manager who will own payment integrations end to end—from the initial technical call with a provider through to stable production.
You will also be the first line of response for every payment incident and the person responsible for deciding whether a new integration is ready to go live.
This is a technical operations role rather than a coordination role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payment Provider Onboarding & Integration
Manage the full onboarding cycle for new payment providers, including:
Initial technical calls
Credentials and sandbox access
Configuration and test design
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Production launch
Post-release stabilisation
Define integration acceptance standards and own the go/no-go decision before launch.
Review provider API documentation and translate it into implementation-ready specifications for engineering, covering edge cases, failure paths, and confirmation model behaviour.
2. Payment Incident Management
Own the first-line response for payment incidents, including:
Failed and stuck transactions
Unconfirmed payments
Payment method-level anomalies
Investigate and drive incidents to resolution rather than simply escalating them.
Diagnose provider-side versus platform-side issues using logs, API responses, and transaction data.
Communicate findings clearly to providers, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
3. Technical Testing & Verification
Perform hands-on verification of payment integrations.
Conduct manual checkout testing across mobile and desktop.
Verify callbacks and API behaviour using Postman or equivalent tools.
Execute SQL queries to investigate transaction data.
Validate asynchronous payment statuses, confirmation models, redirect flows, and failure scenarios.
4. Payment Method & Provider Catalogue
Maintain a comprehensive catalogue of payment methods and providers, documenting:
Supported capabilities
Available integration types
Completed testing
Known failure modes
Build the initial capability inventory of all live payment methods and providers.
Convert ambiguous provider documentation and undocumented operational knowledge into actionable specifications.
5. Payment Performance Analysis
Produce a 90-day breakdown of deposit attempts, categorised by outcome:
Completed transactions
Declined by the provider
Abandoned by the user
Abandoned during redirect
Completed but never confirmed back to the platform
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of experience in payments, PSP integrations, or fintech platforms, with hands-on ownership of integrations rather than coordination alone.
Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, asynchronous payment statuses, callback mechanics, confirmation models, redirect flows, and common failure modes.
Ability to review provider API specifications and identify missing information.
Experience using Postman or equivalent tools for API testing.
Experience performing structured checkout testing across mobile and desktop.
Proven ability to investigate live payment incidents using logs and API responses.
Ability to distinguish provider-side issues from platform-side problems.
Experience translating incomplete or ambiguous technical documentation into clear specifications for engineering.
Strong communication skills and composure during incidents.
Basic knowledge of using AI tools in daily work.
Working proficiency in both English and Russian, as both languages are used daily.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year
First Few Months — Operational Ownership
Take ownership of first-line payment incidents, build the payment method and provider catalogue using documentation and direct investigation, and produce the 90-day deposit attempt analysis.
By Mid-Year — Integration Acceptance Standards
Establish the integration acceptance framework and apply it to a live provider onboarding process, from initial engagement through production launch.
Second Half — Established Processes & Decision-MakingAs the team expands, a Systems Analyst will assume responsibility for formal verification, while the integration acceptance gate remains under your ownership.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date provider catalogue, ensure the integration acceptance gate is fully operational, and take ownership of incident-related decisions.
Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process consists of four stages:
HR Interview: Background, motivation, and overall role alignment.
Technical Interview: Payment integration knowledge, technical tools, hands-on experience, and incident diagnosis.
Product & Problem-Solving Interview: Integration decisions, prioritisation, and practical problem-solving.
Final Interview: Discussion with senior stakeholder.
Benefits
Fixed monthly compensation of [depending on experience]
Fully remote work within GMT to GMT+4, with no relocation required
End-to-end ownership of a provider from first call to production, and the go or no-go decision on every integration
Scope that grows with the business: cards, alternative payment methods, a card programme and new entities
Corporate AI tooling as part of the working process

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion’s Tax team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to support our global tax operations. In this role, you’ll run global indirect tax operations and strengthen the systems behind them. As Notion scales across products and jurisdictions, this role exists to make compliance, close, audits, and tax data more accurate, scalable, and audit-ready. You’ll own recurring sales and use tax, VAT/GST, business tax, registrations, notices, reconciliations, and related controls, while building exposure to income tax compliance and reporting. The work is hands-on and cross-functional: you’ll trace differences across billing, tax engines, filings, payments, and the general ledger with Accounting, Revenue, Billing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Experience partners.
This role is based in San Francisco. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Take ownership of recurring U.S. and global indirect-tax filings, calendars, data packages, notices, registrations, and close support—with accurate, review-ready work.
- Establish a reliable reconciliation and exception workflow across billing, tax engines, filings, payments, and the general ledger, escalating issues clearly and early.
- Use AI-enabled workflows and data tools to investigate variances, quality-check work papers, and improve documentation while preserving human review and controls.
- Make tax operations more scalable and audit-ready by strengthening controls, process documentation, evidence, handoffs, audit support, and SOX walkthrough readiness.
- Become a trusted partner to Accounting, Revenue, Billing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Experience—and contribute to income tax compliance and reporting with guidance from experienced teammates.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of public accounting and/or industry tax experience, with a primary focus on indirect tax compliance and operations.
- Hands-on experience with indirect tax compliance or operations, especially U.S. sales and use tax, VAT/GST, business taxes, or other non-income-based taxes; this is the foundation for owning Notion’s recurring global work.
- Experience preparing accurate reconciliations, journal entries, filings, payments, and audit-ready work papers, with the ability to connect activity across source systems and the general ledger.
- Strong operational judgment: you manage recurring deadlines, investigate exceptions, keep documentation organized, escalate issues promptly, and drive assigned work through completion.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a collaborative approach to working across Finance, Accounting, business teams, and external advisors.
- Curiosity and learning agility, including willingness to build income-tax capability and demonstrated AI fluency—using AI to analyze data, investigate variances, improve documentation, perform quality checks, or automate repeatable workflows while validating outputs and protecting sensitive information.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. About Niantic Spatial
AI has learned from almost everything online, but it still struggles with the physical world, where 99.5% of economic activity happens. It doesn’t know where things are, how spaces fit together, or what changes over time.
That’s one of the biggest unsolved problems in AI, and it’s the one we’re solving at Niantic Spatial. We build spatial AI models and services so people and machines can reason, learn and act safely in the physical world. We turn camera imagery, video, sensor data and archives into accurate, AI-readable representations of real places that robots can train in and machines can use to know exactly where they are.
In physical AI, mistakes have real consequences. That’s why we build AI grounded in measured reality, not guesswork, so the people and machines relying on it can trust it to get things right.
Our team built some of the world’s most widely used maps. Now we’re building something bigger: a living, measured record of the real world that machines can query, learn from and use to understand how places change over time. If you want to help AI understand the world we actually live in, come build with us.
About the Role
We're looking for an entrepreneurial Go-to-Market lead to build our pipeline and customer relationships within the Embodied AI group. One of the fundamental problems we’re helping the physical AI community overcome is the sim-to-real gap for visual-spatial understanding. We’re applying our team’s decades of experience encoding the world precisely as it is at Google Maps, Google Earth, and Niantic Labs to build the scalable real-to-sim stack for embodied AI.
Working directly alongside the group's General Manager, you'll map the market, open doors, and close business in step with product development. You'll have significant independence, direct access to the people building the product, and real responsibility for making the business successful.
You're a natural-born seller. A day spent talking to customers gives you energy. You already know people in the robotics ecosystem, and you're always finding reasons to meet more. You earn attention, ask questions that teach us something, and turn interest into commitment. You're as good at listening as you are at making a case. When an opportunity matters, you are relentless, but your desire to win the right business is more powerful than your desire to win any business.
This is not a role for someone who needs inbound leads, a finished playbook, or a fully baked product. You relish building. You take pride in finding the use case, earning the customer's conviction, and getting the deal over the line. The role will not initially carry a sales quota. It will carry clear accountability for qualified pipeline, useful customer learning, and business we can deliver.
What You'll Do
- Map the Market - Build and maintain a comprehensive view of prospects, their use cases, and the right contacts. Track funding, hiring, launches, and deployments, and hold a point of view on who we should pursue, why, and when.
- Open Doors - Build qualified pipeline through your relationships, targeted outreach, introductions, and events. Get into the communities where our customers spend time, and turn the approaches that earn attention into repeatable ones.
- Qualify and Learn - Get immersed in customers' workflows: what they're trying to do, what they've tried, where it breaks, and what that costs them. Establish fit, urgency, and how a buying decision will happen, and bring candid input on product-market alignment back to the General Manager and Product leader.
- Develop Relationships - Be useful to accounts we're not ready to serve yet. Work with Marketing on insights, introductions, content, and events, and know what needs to change in their business or our capabilities for an opportunity to become actionable.
- Close Business - Run opportunities through evaluation, proposal, negotiation, and signature. Agree what an evaluation must prove, who will decide, and what follows success. Prepare colleagues properly and stay engaged through handoff so commitments are delivered.
- Shape the Commercial Model - Help design commercial models for a maturing product, finding simple solutions where the path isn't laid out, and bringing discipline to how early deals are structured.
What You'll Bring
- Relationships that open doors. You already know founders, engineering leaders, or buyers in robotics, embodied AI, or the infrastructure and tooling companies serving them, and you have a track record of building new relationships beyond your existing network.
- Experience personally winning early customers for a technical product. You sourced opportunities and closed business while the use case, buyer, or commercial approach was still being worked out, and you can explain what you did to make it happen.
- Experience shaping the deal itself. You've worked with founders or technical teams to turn a customer problem into a concrete offer covering scope, proof of value, commercial terms, and a path from evaluation to paid adoption, and you've secured commitments of budget and engineering time.
- Evidence that you changed the approach because of what you learned. You can point to customer evidence that changed who your team targeted, what it offered, or how it sold, and explain what happened next.
- Credibility with technical buyers. You've sold to engineering or research teams and can hold a substantive conversation about their workflows, including the roles of simulation, training data, and evaluation in embodied AI, and concepts such as reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and sim-to-real transfer.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- You've turned initial pilots into sustained usage, renewals, or expansion.
- You've helped turn a handful of early wins into a repeatable approach across customers.
- You've partnered with or sold within the NVIDIA robotics ecosystem.
- You've sold into defense or industrial robotics teams.
Competencies
- Painful sense of urgency. You move as if the company's success depends on it, because it does. People love working with you because you make things happen.
- Strategically tenacious. You combine astute judgment about which opportunities matter with dogged determination to win them. When one door shuts on a great opportunity, you make sure another one opens.
- Technically fluent. You speak the language of our customers, and know what the words mean. You get curious when a conversation gets technical, can explain our capabilities accurately, and recognize when a technical counterpart needs to take over.
- Intellectually honest. You know there's one job that underpins every other in a startup: find the truth. You listen closely, ask about actual behavior, and investigate answers that don't add up. You don't mistake compliments for demand or keep a dead opportunity alive to make the pipeline look better.
- Pragmatic in the face of ambiguity. You have a knack for finding simple solutions to complex problems when the path isn't laid out for you. You're not intimidated by designing commercial models or helping to mature a product.
- Ability to close. You build champions, reach decision-makers, and methodically uncover what stands between interest and a purchase. You're a natural negotiator and enjoy delivering win-win outcomes.
- Create value before you consume. You're generous with insights, thoughtful introductions, and practical help, always giving before asking for anything in return. When you ask for a customer's time or budget, you can explain what they stand to gain and hold us to delivering it.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range of $175,500 to $230,000. Compensation also includes an annual bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and more.
Location & Work Model
This role is based in our San Francisco office, with three days per week in office.
Inclusive Application
We know the strongest candidates don't always tick every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you could do it well, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every qualification listed - you may be exactly who we're looking for.

Contribute to larger protocol initiatives, such as Aave V4, vaults, and GHO, working within established architecture
Contribute to the development and maintenance of protocol-level infrastructure and tooling
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to design and ship new protocol features and functionality
Investigate security vulnerabilities, reproduce potential attack scenarios, and contribute to mitigation and response
Debug and troubleshoot smart contract and protocol issues across development and production environments
Review code written by other engineers, providing constructive feedback with a strong focus on correctness, testing, and security
Stay up to date with developments across Ethereum, DeFi, and smart contract security, applying relevant learnings to your work

The ability to independently design and deliver well-defined smart contract projects of limited scope, identifying technical requirements, trade-offs, and potential risks
Deep technical expertise in one or more areas of DeFi, such as lending, vaults, stablecoins, liquidity, or protocol integrations.
Strong knowledge of smart contract security, including common vulnerability classes, testing methodologies, and secure development practices
The ability to make sound technical decisions within your area of expertise and clearly explain the reasoning and trade-offs behind your approach
A track record of producing reliable, well-tested code and providing useful technical feedback through code review
A habit of keeping up with the latest exploits, security research, tooling, and developments across the Ethereum ecosystem
A genuine passion for DeFi and building at the forefront of web3 technology
Nice to haves:
Experience building or integrating DeFi vaults, including areas such as share and NAV accounting, strategy allocation, and deposit and redemption flows
Experience contributing to large, complex DeFi protocols or smart contract codebases
Experience building protocol adapters or integrating external protocols and infrastructure
Haven’t quite met all the criteria? Let’s not miss out on the chance to speak. Whilst you might not meet every single requirement, you might bring other, more exciting skills to the companies!

Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
AI Process Owner — Transaction Monitoring & Customer Lifecycle
Team: AFC Product Operations
Focus: Transaction Monitoring — AI alert resolution
Scope: Dedicated to AI automation of the transaction monitoring programme within 1LoD, with scope to extend across the customer lifecycle over time
At Finom, AI is not just a buzzword. It runs through every element of how we work, and we are implementing it in production, in real processes, with real decisions behind it, with operational teams in the leading role to build AI operational processes.
About the role
This position sits in our Customer Lifecycle team — the team that monitors the customer from the moment their account is opened at Finom and throughout their entire life with us. That remit covers transaction monitoring, regular (periodic) reviews and general ongoing customer monitoring.
This role is specifically focused on transaction monitoring alert resolution, with the possibility to extend scope across the wider customer lifecycle in future, depending on your experience and your success in the position.
The role is a full dedication to projects that automate elements of our transaction monitoring programme using AI. Concretely, that means three things:
Designing and implementing AI-driven alert resolution — moving work that analysts do manually today into AI-supported and AI-executed flows.
Supporting analysts through the transition from manual investigation to AI output validation and model validation — a genuine change in what the job of an analyst looks like.
Building AI agents that replace manual work end to end, and defining where an agent can act and where a human must.
You will be the person who understands both sides of the equation: what a solid AML framework requires, and what AI can realistically and defensibly do inside that framework. Knowing where the limits are matters as much as knowing what is possible.
Key responsibilities
Own AI implementation for transaction monitoring alert resolution — from identifying the highest-value manual steps, to specifying the solution, to running it in production.
Understand the alert resolution process from pick up to false positive, true positive, or offboarding.
Build AI-driven investigation capability — AI-supported investigation of customers, of suspicious transactions, and of behavioural and network patterns across our customer base.
Build and iterate on AI agents that take over manual analyst work, with clear boundaries, escalation logic and audit trails.
Redesign the alert resolution process around AI: what is automated, what is validated, what stays fully human, and how quality is evidenced.
Define the AI/AML boundary — where AI can be used within a transaction monitoring framework, where it cannot, and how we document and defend that position to 2nd Line risk management, audit and regulators.
Support and upskill analysts through the transition to model and output validation, including guidance, training and new working procedures.
Work hands-on with data — analyse alert and customer data to find inefficiency, false-positive drivers and automation opportunities, and to measure whether changes actually worked.
Partner with technical teams and stakeholders — AI team, Data, Engineering, Product, risk management — translating operational and AML needs into technical requirements, and technical constraints back into operational reality.
Keep the customer in view — every alert, freeze, request for information and delay lands on a real customer. Efficiency gains should improve, not degrade, the customer experience.
Own documentation and process ownership — procedures, decision logic, model rationale and controls kept to audit standard.
Key metrics
Your success will be measured on the efficiency and optimisation of the process, including:
Reduction in manual handling time per alert (cycle time) and in overall alert backlog.
Share of alerts resolved or pre-processed by AI, at maintained or improved quality.
Quality and defensibility of AI-assisted decisions — measured through QA, validation sampling and audit outcomes.
Analyst capacity released
Customer-facing impact: fewer unnecessary touchpoints, faster resolution
About you
3+ years of experience in a fintech, bank, EMI or PSP environment, in transaction monitoring and AML.
Hands-on experience in first line of defence alert resolution — you have worked alerts yourself and know what makes them slow, noisy or hard to close.
Solid understanding of AML frameworks and, critically, how to apply them to resolve alerts in practice rather than in theory.
Genuinely AI-oriented — you already use AI across your own work and have experience implementing AI in projects, not just experimenting with it.
Clear view of the limits of AI within a transaction monitoring framework — what can be automated, what needs human judgement, and what regulators and auditors will accept.
Technically minded with strong data analysis skills. Comfortable working with data tools such as Databricks, Metabase and Power BI; SQL is a real advantage.
Customer-minded — you treat customer impact as a first-order consideration, not a side effect.
Structured, pragmatic and comfortable owning a process end to end in a fast-moving environment.
Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
Experience building or deploying AI agents or LLM-based workflows in a regulated or operational setting.
Exposure to model validation, model risk management or AI governance
Experience with transaction monitoring vendor systems and rule tuning / threshold optimisation.
Background in periodic reviews, KYC/CDD or ongoing customer due diligence — relevant if the scope extends across the customer lifecycle.
Experience with SAR/STR reporting
Python or similar for data work and prototyping.
What's in it for you
A rare combination: a real AML mandate and a real AI mandate in the same role. You are not advising on automation from the sidelines — you are building it and owning the outcome.
Genuine ownership. This is a process owner role: the decisions on how transaction monitoring works sit with you.
Visible impact from day one, on a programme that directly affects both our regulatory standing and thousands of customers' experience.
Room to grow — scope can expand across the wider customer lifecycle as you deliver.
Direct collaboration with Compliance, Risk, Data, Product and Engineering leadership in a fast-scaling European fintech.
International, remote-friendly team and a culture that rewards initiative over process for its own sake.

About Eneba
At Eneba, we’re building an open, safe and sustainable marketplace for the gamers of today and tomorrow. Our marketplace supports close to 20m+ active users (and growing fast!), provides a level of trust, safety and market accessibility unparalleled to none. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time and look forward to sharing this journey with you. Join us as we continue to scale, diversify our portfolio, and grow with the evolving community of gamers.
About the team
This is a newly formed team within Payment Operations, built to give Eneba end-to-end visibility into the payment funnel that supports our 20m+ active users across 17+ payment service providers. Today, there is no single, reliable view of funnel health — this team exists to build one: the alerting, dashboards, and reporting needed to identify issues early, quantify their business impact, and route them to the right owner for resolution, whether the root cause sits with us or with a provider.
As a newly established function, the team operates with a strong bias toward action and iteration — validating ideas quickly through small, working proofs of concept rather than long planning cycles, and building up from there.
About You
You bring hands-on experience working within a payment funnel and are comfortable navigating a complex, multi-provider environment — you understand concepts like decline codes and 3DS flows, not just in theory but in practice. You take initiative to investigate issues independently rather than waiting to be assigned a defined task, and you can communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders without a deep payments background. You're equally comfortable building something from first principles and operating without an established playbook.
Responsibilities
- Take diagnostic ownership of checkout funnel health — surfacing alerts, insights, and defects before they become business-critical.
- Lead root-cause investigations that distinguish engineering defects from user-behavior patterns, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the funnel's reporting cadence to cross-functional teams, translating data into insights that drive measurable improvements in authorization rate and conversion.
- Analyze authorization-rate, decline-code, and multi-PSP performance to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks in the funnel.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud on the diagnostic work behind funnel issues and processor outages.
- Develop into a trusted point of contact for payment funnel health within the team.
Requirements
Must-have
- Payments funnel literacy: interchange, decline codes, FX, tokenization, 3DS, fraud fundamentals.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis on funnel drop-off or decline patterns — technical vs. behavioral.
- Able to translate complex data and customer-behavior insights for audiences without deep technical or domain context.
Nice-to-have
- Self-serve BI/dashboard tool familiarity for personal investigation speed.
- SQL fluency for independent investigation.
- Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-changing or high-growth environment.
- Multi-PSP comparative analysis experience.
Salary ranges may vary. We're seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.
We're an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.

About the role
Anthropic's Legal team is looking for an experienced litigator to join our Litigation and Regulatory team. You'll manage a broad docket of litigation files and pre-litigation disputes with a high degree of autonomy, advise the business on litigation risk, and help build the systems and processes that let a growing litigation function operate well at scale.
The matters you'll handle span intellectual property (particularly copyright), class actions, commercial disputes, and could include securities and shareholder disputes, in both first-party and third-party matters, in the U.S. and abroad. You'll partner closely with colleagues across Legal and teams throughout the company to resolve matters thoughtfully and with minimal disruption to the business. You may also support regulatory investigations and inquiries as needed.
Key responsibilities
Manage a broad range of litigation matters that could include intellectual property (particularly copyright) matters, class actions, regulatory and commercial disputes, and securities cases
Direct outside counsel across all stages of litigation, from pre-suit response through discovery, dispositive briefing, trial or resolution and appeal, with a focus on strategic decision-making and filing excellent legal briefs
Manage small disputes and escalations to limit business friction and minimize risk
Advise company leadership and cross-functional partners on litigation risk, and develop appropriate strategic litigation plans, including matter-resolution proposals

Work cross-functionally to gather information efficiently and evaluate risk
Support responses to regulatory investigations and inquiries as needed
Stay up to date on relevant laws, litigation trends, and AI-related case law, and share developments with key stakeholders
Mentor and develop team members through hands-on work on active matters
Minimum qualifications
Hold a law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and meet the local licensing requirements to work as in-house counsel where you'll be based
Have litigated some combination of copyright, class action, securities, and regulatory matters
Have broad experience handling complex civil litigation, with deep knowledge of litigation practice and procedure, discovery, and federal and/or CA state court rules
Have managed litigation matters with significant independence, including setting case strategy, managing discovery, writing and improving legal briefs, and directing outside counsel
Write and communicate clearly, with the ability to explain litigation risk and strategy, particularly for non-legal audiences at all levels of seniority
Exhibit poise and judgment under pressure while balancing legal risk with business priorities
Preferred qualifications
At least 12 years of litigation experience with a combination of experience at a global-focused law firm and in-house
Experience representing technology companies, particularly companies working in emerging technologies
Experience building systems, processes, or tools for an in-house legal team, such as matter management, outside counsel budgeting, or litigation reporting
Experience managing regulatory responses or investigations, including both first-party and third-party responses
Creativity and openness to novel solutions when advancing business priorities while addressing legal risk
Ability to think and work quickly, have a flexible risk tolerance, and a good sense of humor
Low ego and a real willingness to roll up your sleeves to solve problems whether mundane or complex
A thoughtful and empathetic colleague who works well with legal colleagues, outside counsel, and business partners
A genuine interest in the development of AI that is both innovative and trustworthy, including the opportunities it creates and the risks and limitations that must be addressed

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
